Symantec admits that DRI Symantec is an authorized dealer. According to Symantec, DRI Symantec had a pop-up attached to the Norton reminder for renewing Norton protection. DRI Symantec seems to have been selling an upgrade "2008" for some $63. Thinking that this is for the renewal subsription of the Norton protection, from Symantec, it is charged on one credit card on Aug 1st, but some downloading that was stated to be required was halted and unsuccessful. Norton then automatically charges a different credit card (used the last time to renew the annual subsription) the next day (Aug 2nd) for the protection renewal for $54.49. Symantec is making us monitor our credit card charges or we will become victim of their duplicate billing. I think some will be too busy to monitor this and Symantec will be the richer. I'm going to have a little discussion with my neighbor who works for this state's Attorney General about a class action of consumers that want to join in the suit.
