Dr. Jeffrey Ptak is so much like Dr. Sydney Coleman. His procedure called fat grafting, which he may also call fat transfer, is very invasive and damaging to the skin. Just like Coleman, he gorges the skin with fat and creates a Neanderthal look. Shortly after my first surgery, he flattered me and talked me into having yet another surgery for no reason. By the time I realized that he had no real plan in mind and only wanted my money, it was too late. The surgeries left lumps of cysts or possibly scar tissue under my skin and did not even have any other effect. The fact that Dr. Ptak would pretend that my result was favorable just to encourage me to have further surgeries makes me conclude that he is a very dishonest man.

Ptak has been the Defendant in SIX MEDICAL MALPRACTICE LAWSUITS at the Superior Court.

Thank you for warning others. Sydney Coleman is responsible as far as I am concerned, just a much as Ptak. Evil. Both of them. Know that we understand, and send much caring and love your way.

I started to take MMS, you tube it...for Lyme Disease that I have now. Tick bite. But an unexpected surprise, was to see some of the distortions in my face going down even further. To see a noticible difference, maybe it is worth checking into. It removes toxins from the body, so perhaps with some healing...there is a benefit there.

Take care, be good to yourself. These monsters will see their day of sufffering. I firmly believe in..."what goes around comes around."

My fat grafting experience with Ptak:
1) Ptak makes stab incisions, he won't say how deep. Ptak bores .9 mm tunnels through the tissue with a cannula. As he withdraws the cannula he gorges these tunnels with fat, possibly stretching and breaking the tissue and further enlarging these tunnels.
2) Each tunnel of fat is said to contain stem cells by Ptak. The stem cells must repair the tunnels made by the cannula, that is, if they are still alive. He liposuctions, washes, and then re-injects. How can the cells live through all that? How can Ptak make certain he isn't contaminating with germs during this process? I can't think of a more unhealthy, stupid idea than being injected by Ptak.
3) Ptak told me that I can't gain volume in my face by gaining weight. He did my injection and then when he saw me three months later, he told me not to exercise because I would " exercise my face away."
He had told me that I had a change, yet he was telling me to change my lifestyle in such a way that would promote the exact same result. I think he is taking advantage of women with eating disorders. When I came to him I was very skinny and he never even once advised me to gain weight until after I had the injections.

As a result, I believe that he has a formula by which he operates:
1) He tells woman her face is gaunt, long, thin, her eyes sunken( especially if she is thin and could easily benefit by better habits). He tells her the fat is a permanent filler when there is no scientific proof of this.
He tells her the fat will make her younger and prettier.
2) He gorges her skin so that it remains swollen for many months
3) Three months later he tells her not to exercise. Possibly her cheeks fill out a little, confusing things all the more. At three months out she is still swollen and confused as to her final outcome. She is told by Ptak and his staff that she is a very pretty girl, no matter what her age or how inappropriate this remark may be (I witnessed them making this remark to a woman that was very elderly).
4)Using his status as a doctor to manipulate her, Ptak encourages a second procedure. His great vision of beauty not quite complete, the final touches must be made.
4) Another surgery is underwent.
5) The swelling, anticipation, and confusion is lengthened
6) End result: The fat does not last, at least not for me or in scientific studies. After all that expense, she doesn't look a day younger.

I would like to comment on another Doctor that does fat grafts:
He shows pictures of a few of his fat grafts and seams to believe that these few cases are proof that fat will last.
There is little to no difference in the before/ afters and certainly nothing that I would pay for. The lighting is different, the expression different, the angle is different. What I do maybe notice is that the cheeks are fuller in the lower half of the face (even Dr. Ptak admits in his old advertisement that the lower region of the face tends to gain fat with age) and a line under the eyes is brought higher and darkened. The change in this line under the eye coincides with a change in the fuller cheeks. A change that could be brought on by changes in eating habits or activities. But certainly not a change that i would invest a dime in!

Ptak himself admits in his '07 advertisement that the lower half of the face seams to gain fat with age. THIS IS EXACTLY THE AREA WHERE I SEE CHANGE IN LAM'S PHOTOS! Read the new book out called THIN, a documentary. It shows before/after pictures of a girl that recovers from anorexia in 10 weeks. Her facial fat looks much different from...eating!

Ptak also used distorted photographs of me to convince me that I was ugly and needed his fat grafts. These photos were taken 2 feet from my face!!!
Then he used photos taken after to convince me that I looked better when I truly didn't. Although the fat is gone now, for the longest time I had this funky look going and Ptak just kept on insisting that he had somehow saved me from looking ugly by comparing the distorted to photos to my funky new look.

Ptak says that he can treat long faces with fat grafting which I think is ridiculous since he, himself, has a long face and has never bothered to have one fat graft. Well, I just learned something about photography that makes me think that these doctors are using photographs to trick their patients. I just learned in a book by Mike Stensvoid that when you use a shorter lens, you must move closer to the subject to get the same head size and the photograph makes the head look LONGER and THINNER. When you use a longer lens, you must move farther away to get the same head size and the photograph makes the head look SHORTER and FATTER!!!
I think that there is much to be studied on how photographs are being used to decieve people.
I also think these doctors are somehow using a few mediocre photographs and a WHOLE LOT OF false promises to utterly decieve unsuspecting and trusting people. I mentioned that I thought the bottom half of the faces looked wider from weight gain but it could also be from compression of the photograph. Read this book by Mike Stensvoid: Complete Idiot's Guide to Photography Like a Pro to read about the distortions of photographs. He says that zoom lenses also create distortion.

Ptak's ad claims he in injecting FAT RICH IN STEM CELLS. This simply is not true. He finally has admitted in writting that only a small percentage of fat injected relative to adipocytes contains stem cells (so tiny he would not dare give the amount). It is extremely dishonest to say that fat injections offer any benefits at all, BEYOND SWELLING.


PTAK HAS DONE CLOSE TO 1000 FAT GRAFTS. SAY HE CHARGED 4000-5000 FOR EACH ONE!
I WOULD BET HE HAS MADE FOUR TO FIVE MILLION DOLLARS FROM FAT GRAFTS!
IS THAT NOT MOTIVE ENOUGH?

Yet Ptak does not have ONE SINGLE PICTURE of his work on his web-site past three months, past the point when the swelling is gone and the cysts have been eaten away by the body. This time period has been said to last up to a year and a half. WHY NO PICTURES PAST THIS POINT OR EVEN PAST SIX MONTHS?????

AND MY TEAR TOUGHS ARE VERY MUCH PRESENT STILL, PTAK.
These Doctors like to say the tear troughs are gone from fat grafts. I see Lam implies this in his photos. This is not true! I found that they only show up in photos taken at certain distances from the camera and I have the before/afters photos to prove it.

Dishonest plastic surgeons must just love to use over-head lighting, distorted close-ups, and zoom distortions to fool people.

But why ever would I want my tear trough gone in the first place??? Did I ever come to you and ask for my tear trough to be removed??? No way! Like a fool, I showed you younger photos and you went along with whatever I requested, just to make a sale.

Look at the before photo that I posted of my lower eyes. As you can see from my very youthful skin in the before photo (taken fall 2007) there was no need for any fat to be injected there. I believe that Ptak did an unnecessary procedure on me, just so he could make easy money. As you can see from the after photo (taken March 2009) my skin has not in any way been rejuvenated by the "stem cells" that Ptak claims are in the fat injection.
I believe that Ptak is a predatory doctor who will say anything to get people into the operating room.

I don't think fat can survive after injection. Fat is an organ and, like any organ transplant, fat must be transplanted in one piece and not in tiny pieces that are injected through a needle..

Fat tissue "serves as an important endocrine organ[1]."

Not for now. I compare photos from the most similar angles, same camera, and similar lighting. Otherwise I will be guilty of creating imaginary changes, just like I bet Coleman does all the time to cheat people out of their money.

I mention this only because, shadow can help to reveal things, which sometimes are not noticable, unless one is there in person, up close and seen from different angles. With sunlight and shadow, I have taken pictures that help to clearly see the overhanging areas on my eyes effectively. It allowed to see the extent of how my upper lids jutted out. The pictures are very effective as they are. Great job and courage on your part. My best. :)

WHY NO GOOD PHOTOS OF FAT GRAFTS???

1.WHY ARE THE ONLY PHOTOS SHOWN ON PTAK'S WEB-SITE OF PATIENTS WHO ALSO HAD OTHER PROCEDURES DONE?
2. WHY ARE THE PHOTOS TAKEN FROM DIFFERENT DISTANCES AND ANGLES?
3. WHY ARE THEY TAKEN ONLY 3 MONTHS LATER?

BECAUSE PTAK HOPES THAT YOU WILL BELIEVE HIS PROMISES WITHOUT ANY PROOF TO BACK THEM.

I was 28 at the time of my first fat grafting but looked even younger! Nonetheless, Ptak made a big deal of emphasizing that I was in my late twenties and that somehow his fat grafting would return me to my early twenties, using extremely close-up photographs taken when I was tired to convince me of this. Looking back, I see how stupid this all was. Ptak is 60 years old and he is selling a procedure that he would not even think of subjecting his own aged skin to. When I asked him why he hadn't had fat grafts he told me that it was his choice. He had never given ME that choice by allowing me to make an informed decision and by telling me about the risks of fat grafting.

Ptak runs his business in Arizona where the laws are written to protect and shield dishonest doctors from malpractice lawsuits. The laws in Arizona allow Ptak to take advantage of vulnerable patients and he is obviously out there in Arizona trolling for them.

Ptak tries to create a lot of amiguity by taking photographs from different angles of patients who also had face-lifts in order to hide the fact that fat grafts have no positive effect. The photographs above show the true result of his fat grafting.

Ptak will give few examples of his work with the hope that his victim will not identify with the ugly example that he displays, and will instead believe his promises. Of course, he never puts these promises in writing. His contract is very vague! He did not even bother to put the risks of fat grafting in the contract: BLINDNESS, skin-necrosis, VERY HIGH risk of lumps and nodules that require surgical removal (he will describe this risk as something like acne), etc. He wants the surgery to appear as risk-free as possible so that patients will not be scared away. And he also cleverly left out the fact that he does his surgeries out of a crowded CANCER Center called the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center!

This article on the internet, Cosmetic Surgery-let the buyer beware, reminds me of how doctors like Ptak and Coleman really are just SELLING a procedure to anyone that is unlucky enough to cross paths with them:

Type the words "BEWARE COLEMAN" on GOOGLE or YAHOO to hear the stories of Dr. Coleman's numerous victims, as well as comments that are believed to have been made by Coleman, himself, posing as happy patients.
It is there that I have read stories from Coleman's victims about how Coleman's has paid actors to pose as patients. Well, this reminds me of my own very unusual experience with Ptak. One day I came into his empty office and, looking back, I can't help but wonder about this. A woman patient came into the office, she had a very fit body. She brought with her a huge framed painting. I over-heard that she had painted it herself and brought it as a gift for Ptak. I also overheard through the thin walls that she was comming in for liposuction. She was afraid that if she would lose weight, her face would change so she wanted liposuction. I wondered why someone so fit would need liposuction, of all things. It was this day that Ptak agressively sold me on coming in for my second fat graft, which I truly did not want and really was hoping that he would fix the many lumps that were under my skin (unaware of the fact that he had no intention of ever fixing them). He had strung me along by telling me that the lumps could be removed with cortizone. I now see that this was done in order for me to identify the lumps with ACNE when the truth is that they are far more serious and are permanent.
