This dentist (if he is indeed certified as one) scams his patients to endure a series of repeat x-rays, then extensive fillings, only to tell them they “all need to come out!” He then pulls all their teeth and fits them with dentures! He gets rich conning his patients for repeat business. He is also currently in trouble with the insurance companies! He has fled his dentist office in Sterling Heights and his life is in shambles. He is now practicing in Northern Michigan. BEWARE of this individual!

I had been to this dentist one time only for a routine cleaning and everything was fine, dental hygienist did a fine job. Although I do remember Dr. Yuhnke being rude to me and giving me the feeling that this was not the dentist for me, so I never returned. There is currently a dentist by the same name, Dr. James Yuhnke, practicing at Midwestern Dental Center Lansing. I do not know if it is the same individual, but it's worth being cautious for anyone thinking about going there if the horror stories at .
I paid up front for a root canal and crown (by paying in full he took off a couple hundred dollars). I went to countless appointments for over 6 months to try and get it done. He kept putting it off for one reason or another. The next thing I know, his practice is closed down. I then continually called the number that they left for patients to contact them so they could get thier dental records. After over a year, I still can't get in touch with them. I paid over $2000 for a root canal and crown I never received and my dental records, that I have full legal standing to request, I can't get. STAY AWAY from this CROOK!
