Dollar Tree customer service

Today July 5, 2016 here in Wichita Falls, TX store #1997 Sales associate Tracy cashier #2970163 8:11 PM...My mother, daughter, and I decided to come in and get a few little things. I regret the decision to stop since I never in my life have ever seen such rude employees. Through the whole visit, not once we're we ever greeted by the three employees that were too busy talking in the front of the store. Shelves were very empty and there were boxes on the floor that had yet to be stocked. We found only a few things and went to the front to check out, once again all the employees were still sitting around talking. Only one register light was on, so naturally that was the register we went to. Once everything was placed on the counter, the employee named Tracy walked over as if she were upset that we made her work. She began to scan the items and threw them in the bag. One of the items I purchased was a little toy for my daughter made out of plastic that could easily break. Luckily it didn't break. Not once did she say hello, look up, or say a word to us. I paid and started to place my debit card into my wallet and she held the receipt in front of my face, crumpled it up and threw it at my face. Before we even grabbed our bags she went back to talking to the other employees. I have never met this woman or seen this woman, so there is absolutely no reason I should have been treated in this manner. I will never again return to this store ever again. One of the employees had to have been a manager, so obviously if I complain to the local store nothing would come of the situation. I hope Dollar Tree will see how this type of business could hurt them in the long run. This type of behavior will catch up to the company if they don't fix the issue now. I've worked many years in retail and work now in customer service. People want good interaction and if they find that type of hospitality they are more likely to stick with that company since it's rare to find.

Are you going there to shop or make friends? Did you speak to them? Complaints like this make me wonder why people bother leaving their house. I go to a store, I get my stuff, I want to pay and get out. I do not need to be fawned over like I am the heir to the Hope Diamond.

Dollar Tree unethical/rude behavior

We went into store #4331 on July 3, 2016 and were standing in a rather long line. There was a man standing at another register and my husband ask if he was open. He very rudely replied "Do you see a light on?" I told him he did not have to be so rude and he told me, in front of all the customers, "well it is pretty simple". He also said if the light is on I'm open, if the light is off I am not. Yet he still stood at the register even with other customers in line. The gentleman that checked us out was very nice. I ask him who the jerk was and the jerk whirled around and said Russell but I did not get the last name. Imagine my surprise to find out he is the assistant manager. We go to this store often and have always been treated fine. If this is what your management consist of you need to consider the impact on your customers. I will not return if I see him there. He had a pony tail and a sorry attitude.

Dollar Tree manager

I am a frequent shopper at the Dollar Tree and spend a lot of money buying items for decorating every month. I also buy gift bags and things also. I went in the day after Memorial Day to purchase specific gift bags that had recently been placed out. When I was checking out I had give the clerk my money. Before she completed the sale she called the manager over stating that 3 of the bags had rung up for a penny. I requested they scan another bag for a dollar because I needed those bags. The manager never looked at me. She just rudely stated she could not sell me those bags. Then ask where I got them. Umm if she would have been nice I would not be upset but she would not address me at all and was so rude. I ask for my money back and left. I'll pay more for those items before I go back and be treated that way. I was t trying to get them for a penny. But I do no the policy and she wasn't following it.

Dollar Tree rude and unprofessional behavior of the supervisor, diane of dollar tree, #4666, 34 main ave., clifton, nj 07014

At about 8:20 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Dollar Tree store #4666, Clifton, NJ, my wife and I were shopping were acosted by the supervisor Diane, an older female and she started yelling at the my wife who has physically disabled. My wife decided not to buy a certain item and left that item on a different self. Diane apparently saw it and started raising his voice in an embarassing manner ordering my wife to bring the returned item to the front cashier. My wife got nervous and got insulted and hurt by the attitude of Diane. Of course I was also hurt and embarassed in front of the many shoppers in public. I started complaining to her and told her we are the customers and she should not treat us in an ill manner. We are both Asians from the Philippines and Ms. Diane is white and we felt singled out and discriminated. I hurriedly paid the items we bought and left. I swear not to come back shopping at that Clifton store and strongly not recommend that store.

Dollar Tree manager

I ordered a few packages to be shipped to this store a couple times now today I went in to get my package that said they were delivered 5/17/16 via email and the manager who was sitting in her office wouldn't come speak to me instead she talked behind her door where I couldn't even see her and was very rude to me instead of being professional and coming out Alicia was her name even her employee said" I'm sorry miss I don't know why she wont come speak to you herself", manager said "well not my problem you didn't read your email correctly and bring in a copy of the receipt" I had it on my phone no where in my email it says bring in a copy it says bring in the receipt and a photo id not a printed receipt... the whole time this manager never came to speak to me face to face she spoke to me from register one which is 7ft from her office I don't even know what this so called "manager" looks like that's very unprofessional she kept telling the employee what to say when I could clearly hear her saying rude things, I will be calling customer support tomorrow to find out where my package is and from here on out ill drive to a different store and be taken seriously I am an adult and deserve professionalism when I go into a business where I spend my hard working money. I'm not asking for anything out of this but for her to take customer service seriously. Ps not everyone is made for customer service and you my dear are one of them!

Dollar Tree employees

I had been into that store many times and all the cashiers and even the manager were very rude. The only reason I go there because it is the closest store to my house, and every time I go there I think it is probably only this cashier who's rude, but it keeps on happening every time and I can't take it anymore. They are very rude even to the level that they don't say thank you. They give you the feelings that you are either stealing the items or getting them for free. I can't believe how the corporation is keeping employees in their store like those. I would never go there again. I am welling now to drive even faraway to go to the 99 cent store only and no way to go to this Dollar Tree store any more ( 4240 Kearny Mesa Rd #109, San Diego, CA 92111).

Dollar Tree store manager/employees

My employment was brief this second time. The first time I was employed I stopped working due to family. I returned to work at Dollar Tree December 13, 2015 thru March 15, 2016. My manager was Cindy Hildilch and Kelly Brock was the assistant manager.
To my surprise the stores management style had changed. Employees were not showing up for work without notice, money was missing, employees were disrespectful to customers and yet no corrective action from the manager was taken. It was my observation that these same employees received more scheduled hours than those who have a higher work ethic.
During my second time of employment I saw product taken and held for employee purchase before it was put on the shelves for costumers. I saw Cindy, express herself in a unprofessional way in front of both employees and customers on several occasions. There was also favoritism, Cindy allowed her "favorite" people to work more hours than those of us who shared higher work ethic.
I know I did not give notice as I should of, and this has weighed heavy on me. However, the unprofessional and horribly ran store left me feeling I could no longer continue my employment with Dollar Tree. I enjoyed working with the previous manager and her work culture. I just wanted to bring this to light, so these issues may be addressed.
Feel Free to contact me with any questions [protected]

Sincerely,
Lydia Gonzales

I have been coming to this Dollar Tree Store #3979 in Port Arthur, TX for the past year and every time I have come into this location it looks like a shambles, the shelves are practically empty, boxes of product sit on the floor of the aisle to be stocked on the shelves, it looks horrible everyday - products have been opened and the trash from that product...

Dollar Tree unethical behavior

This happened on sat afternoon march 26th. There was two cashiers and the store manager. Both cashiers had a line of customers when the phone started ringing. It kept ringing, like no one could answer it. The store manager yelled across the store telling the cashiers to answer the phone. Both was busy with customers. When the manager walked by she was mad cause nether one answered the phone. Then one cashier told her that they didn't have the phone. She said there was one on the other two registers. The cashier and customer looked at each other, really? So, the cashiers supposed to stop ringing and walk away to answer the phone? Really? Customers should come first. That's what I thought it should be in retail.

This has been happening for awhile. The store manager and one of the assistant manager almost always has an attitude. They act like they don't want to help out the cashiers in any way. When the cashier asks for something they get an attitude about it and it takes them awhile to see what they need. Example: backup, change, customer's help.

I just want to work and shop in the store without the attitude and without being afraid to ask for help.

Dollar Tree poor professionalism from dm's and managers

I work for dollar tree for 4yrs already. Let me tell you, when/where I applied was the best yr there and fun and exciting. They decided to transfer me to a store with a store manager I didn't want to and now I'm miserable. The only reason why I've put up all these yrs is cause I have a daughter and bills to pay. I find myself stuck cause the dm and store manager r friends (but onlu when they are face to face) n tell each other any and everything ppl say to them. My manager let me tell you is lazy and is always in the office on his phone on facebook. Not only is he lazy but also a profesional manipulator. I do so much for this store and company that I get thanked by being yelled at and being belittled by the dm. I honestly feel I'm losing my job over nothing. I was thought and would do company policy and procedures where I first started but here these ppl want to do what and how to do things and say it's company rules. But when asked why by the bigger ppl that come do walk through they just name it on us assistants. When I do to their liking, my manager takes the credit. To top things off, I requested my vacation after the opening of our new store, after all major holidays passed, after walk through were said and done, it got posted but on the day b4 my manager called and said I couldn't take it at that time cause they needed me to go to another store and clean it up for 3wks. OK. Well after that, without being thanked for that either, tell me why my manager said he was gonna take his vacation. After him 2 other assistants got to take theirs also. I will finish this by saying, where we opened a new store to top it off, the customers are so racists and they have no shame to keep it to themselves or stay quiet about it

Dollar Tree register clerk

As a former manager of Dollar Tree on McHenry Illinois I was trained to treat my customers with the upmost respect. However Dollar Tree in El Monte California on Valley and Garvey show no such skill whatsoever. I was standing outside with my small little Chiwawa and I had to run inside to let my wife know that we needed something. On the way out and not the best of terms the clerk had told me not to bring my dog in again. It was very blunt and very rude. I've been asked to speak with the clerks manager and after about the third time of asking my wife and I were on our way out the manager finally came up front when we left. The manager's name crystal show no regard and my complaint seemed to have no validity in these regards. I got the impression that since I was only spending a dollar per item my money didn't matter there. The English register clerk then said that she had told us not to bring the dog in again in English and she didn't know any other way to convey that to us. Understand as we left without coming to any compromise to our complaint we were called meth heads because we are white and we are out on a Sunday shopping not in our best. This was all comments from the register clerk. As a former employee and now a former customer you have lost one. Thank you for making my complaint available

Dollar Tree employee

I have a complaint to report involving a employee from the Brookings SD dollar tree. I understand that there are kids in and out of the store making messes and running around. I know I am not the only parent with kids that do run with excitement to the toy aisle. Myself & my husband and our kids came into the store around 7:30pm. I was in the next aisle looking at some school items, my husband was at the end of the aisle as our sons 6 years and 8 years old were looking at the toys. We heard a voice saying "Stop running, this isn't a playground" I Walked over to see which one of my sons were running. I had ask my oldest who it was. He said it was his brother (who is 6 years old.) They both walked out of the aisle to their father. I took a moment to ask Shannon if that was her that had said something to my son. She said "yes I told him to stop running" I said I would appreciate it if you would've said it with some manner. We exchanges some words in a argumentative way. I admit I did get mad because of how rude she was being about it. I can take responsibility in how mad I got. The only reason why I did was because the way she had talked to him forced both of my sons out of the toy aisle. they didn't even want to go back in that aisle. My son (the one she was talking to) was sad. We don't talk to our kids with a loud tone of voice at all. I tried to make her understand how I felt by the way she had said that to him. We always come to dollar tree and have never had any complications. At one point she had told me to just leave and waved her hand. I did get upset and had said the f word "I would appreciate it if you would've said it with manner.. F" I don't cuss but the way she was talking to me, yes I did take offense to it. And I take full responsibility for my choice of wording. Sandra had came back to tell me I was being rude. I tried to explain what had happened and she said she didn't hear Shannon say anything. Sandra was more of person I could talk to. I continued to look for what I came for. I then went to the front of the store and had talked to Sandra as my husband was. What we were discussing was between my husband, myself and Sandra. Shannon had come up and said she was tired of hearing me complaining about it. That she would keep her kids next to her at all times when she is in a store. Tell me, is this an appropriate way to talk to someone? In a business let alone? Sandra had then said I could call the manager Phil. I asked for the names and for the mangers info. As we went to the cash register to get the info Shannon had came back up towards the register. I had told her "please do not say anything else to me I am trying to get information for the manager" she had then said "Are you buying anything?" Again.. Is this a way to handle anything by talking to a customer. We didn't buy anything or even get to finish our shopping, but still part of the reason for not doing so was because of how rude she was being. Now my husband had a conversation with Sandra. Sandra was apologetic on how we took offense to it. If these two employees were on the receiving ends, would you think they would've took offense as well? That's the point I am trying to get at. Shannon was completely rude towards my family to the point where I started crying. I've worked around many of children and I know how kids are. I know my son was hyper and excited for toys. He is a kid! What kid isn't? I know It's towards the end of her night but the way it escalated did not need to be to the point it was at. A simple "Sorry, I didn't mean it as it seemed." Would've been nice from her, not her co-worker. My son's feelings were hurt, as well as mine. And for her to tell me how to handle my sons wasn't acceptable either. Again that is why I was so upset. She shouldn't have talked to us in that kind of manner. I'm sure it wasn't in her customer service training. Before I got the managers info from Sandra. Shannon said "You can call my manager and I'm sure he'll tell you the same." Tell me to leave with a hand wave? That he is tired of hearing me complain? I understand Sandra's way of handling things. At least she was apologetic about it. After I left the store, returning to my car.. My son was crying. Crying! That truly hurt my feelings to see him cry because in his mind he got in trouble by a woman that he didn't even know. Upset because he couldn't look at a toy because she had told him, " Stop running, this isn't a play ground." And discouraged him to even finish looking for a toy.

Dollar Tree my employment

I have been an associate and assistant manager of the Jacaranda 4850 store since 2013. I have never had a problem, except that a cashier got rude with a customer and wanted to fight the customer. The manager and myself intervened, while the manager took the cashier to her office I took over the register and calmed and apologized to the customer. This was over five (5) months ago. Previous to my employment I had a fall and subsequently needed surgery. This occurred on 1/7/16. I was put into a cast and could not work. I went on Workmen's Comp from my previous employer. I kept in close contact with my Manager and was told when I could report to work to advise. I was schedule to return February 8, 2016, and reported for work on said date. I was told to clock in and then told that the company was considering letting me go because of the incident of 5 months ago. I am in a state of shock because I am being penalized for standing up for the store and ironing the problem and the problem maker is being rewarded by being given more responsibilities. I am at a loss. I have contacted human resources and left message several times. I would appreciate a response as to my status with this company.
Thank you for your anticipated courtesy and cooperation herein.
