Please be advised that Direct TV outsources its installacion / technician jobs to a company called DIRECT STAT (888-230-5144). A technician from this company has been out several times since we ordered the service a week ago. He has drilled inexplicable holes into our floors and walls, caused our garage door not to open due to cables placed above it can wanted to drill 8 more holes into our walls as a "TEST". When we refused, he made us speak with a Supervisor called "JAMES WRIGHT". He asked me for my name. When I said it was CRUZ, he responded with disgust and animosity towards me and proceded to making and incinuating very offensive, derogatory comments towards the "type of people that we are". I called DIRECT TV and unfortunately there is NOTHING that they can do since this individual does not work for them, but for the subcontracting company. I have never felt so belittled, humiliated, and intimidated in my life. I am losing sleep over knowing that these men now know where I live and have a lot of my personal information.

You dirty crooks!!! I tried to order Direct TV for a birthday gift for my sister.
Your website order Direct TV "yellow button" on the special offer page I got on the internet site did not work.
After many futile tries over two days, I noticed that there was a number at the top of the page "to order now"
I talked to Sean and he assured me that he could take the order for the same "offer" I was looking at.
During the course of our conversation, I asked many questions about the offer and he assured me that I was buying the same package. He also asked me what my sister's favorite channels were and assured me that they were all in there. Plus I said she doesn't need HD
she'll take the "or" Free DVR receiver. Sean gave me the total price for installation and first month's charges which I paid.
This morning the installer put in the "standard" receiver. My sister asked why it did not look like mine with the blue circle of light on it. The installer said "Oh that was the old model." She had no idea, nor did I that there even was a standard receiver. So she signed the installation paper.
BINGO!!! They had us. Once that is signed there is no refund or cancellation possible!!!
She found out that there was no DVR function on her Direct TV receiver plus her favorite channels were not all covered!!
I will not go on about the insanely inadequate customer service I got, suffice to say that for another $179.oo she can buy the DVR equipped receiver tomorrow. Happy Birthday!!
The customer service ROBOT we talked to apologized profusely but finally got us with, "She never should have signed the installers paper without reading it carefully". B_____DS!!
