The discount savings club company is committing fraud !
I received a phone call with a woman "claiming" to be from my credit card company (Name omitted) .
She signed me up for a free gas card and some trial stuff, the whole time with me saying "no, i do not want this! I don't care if the gas is free - i don't want to be signed up!"
I finally had to be more than rude and tell her i didn't want:
(1) the "free" $50 gas card
(2) the saving club membership
(3) the "free" 100 gas card
(4) the trial life insurance service.
(Are you serious!? Who is stupid enough to but life insurance from a phone call?)
After all that i was given a phone number, i called it and was told i have to wait 2 - 3 days for it to process before i can cancel it. I will be contacting an attorney if i see a single charge on my card.
*** this is a direct result of ordering products from those "as seen on tv" commercials (Usually with billy mays) . Products include, but are not limited to: the snuggie, aqua - globes, mighty putty, grab - it pro, steam buddy, or any of these products. Ordering any of these products will result in endless telemarketers, sales calls & people pretending to be your credit card company!
In addition - Do a Google search for "Telemarketer phone calls" + ANY of the product names I listed above.
Doing a search for "Telemarketer phone calls Snuggie" will result in countless blog postings, news forums and other public responses to the giant telemarketing scheme.
You personal Credit Card related information also become publicly available by entering a simple 10 digit phone number at their "secure" website https://www.customerstatus.com.
If you receive a call from ANY of the following phone numbers, ignore it and report it to your phone company.
They will keep on calling you, and from different numbers each time.

The company that handles these numbers is called LUCRE Inc.

These suckers can be caught but we need to take that extra step and alert law enforcement.
I called to book a hotel through Unlimited Vacation Clubs (UVC) 800 number and was greeted by a rep who said they were offering the $100 in gift cards for free just had to pay shipping of $1.95. I was getting so upset because he would not transfer me so I could book the hotel ( I have a membership with UVC). I hung up and called a second time and got the same problem Finally I said Ok send me the gift card and I would pay shipping. What a mistake! I could not get him to stop adding more costs and told him to stop and that I was not interested in any of their services. I demanded to be transfer to UVC and instead he transferred me to 411 for information. I found a different number for UVC and complained. Today I received a membership with a $19.95 monthly charge for Discount Savings Club. I immediately called the number and cancelled this fraudulent membership.

Yes I was talked in to this Trial period 14 day trial and of coarse It took over 1/2 that time to receive the packet in the mail.
They sent me Member ID for Discount Savings Club Opened my account In short once login guess what I log in to Nothing!Blue screen .
So I may of lost $1.95 But I did report my card stolen and having new card sent to me, I'm not playing games with them and have charges show up out of the blue If you have this problem ! call your card tell them it's lost or stolen and get a new number.
I didn't joy any club for $19.95 so please cancel my account which I didn't approve too. So please make changes to this issue as soon as possible.
Not only will they sign you up for services/products that you don't ask for, they will charge your card and NOT reverse it, so basically THEY ARE THEIVES!
I don't want to be with this company anymore and I want for you guys not to talk money from on my credit card again...
I want my $29 put back on my credit card you told me it would only be $4.95 but it was $34
My wife and I were just victimized by this same SCAMMER! Wound up with a debit charge on our checking account for $9.95. We did not recognize anything about it. We called our bank to dispute this charge, where we received the [protected]. Upon calling this number, wound up talking to an obvious SCAMMER with an attitude! Please report every last incident to your banks, so these crooks can be identified and prosecuted!
I never signed up for this, my husband never signed up for this. I have been charged 12.95 for three months and I do not order "As Seen on TV" stuff or anything else for that matter... I use Amazon and that is all. I called my bank and they confirmed that this is a fraudulent charge. They also confirmed (at least according to the charges on my account) that there is no way that I signed up for this. I keep very strict books on our financials. I caught this very quickly, but still could not get the charges removed quickly enough to save myself the 40ish dollars that the company stole from me. This is ABSOLUTELY theft!
!BEWARE! This group is targetting innocent consumers to get their Credit Card information. Beware of this fradulent acitvity and don't fall into their trap. They will tell that they are going to send 2 $100 gift rewards card for Target and Walmart. We have to pay only the shipping cost $4.95
These ### got me too I'm too mad and had to cancel my cc. i was only charged 19.80 which was 4 charges of 4.95 & 0.04 which the four cents was real weird and that's not the point. this ia my damn money i work hard for and them ### got it. but i guess they have gotten smart here in 2013 u can't even call the ###in number back! its going thru "technical difficulty" ### please! Because i fell for this scam I am being charged numerous trial basis transactions some so far are for more than just shipping, they better refund my money, I did not sign up for this baloney!

I had 10 text messages saying the same thing, within 20 min! I had to call the jerks, they kept hanging up on me when I asked for company information.

i too fell for it while she was talking. Once she switched me to the confirmation of my information I caught something that didnt sound right and said right away "stop this transaction!" well that didnt work and the foreign chick gave me lip! Told her I wanted the confirmation number of the order and confirmation of the credit (cancellation) and she said "are you kidding me?" And then hung up when I asked for her name. WTF?! I did manage to get a number [protected] that was the actual smart shoppers. Melodie was very nice and said that she would cancel as soon as she received the information and to call back to her directly with ext# 201 on monday (this is thursday) and she would give me a confirmation number of my cancellation. she apologized for the telemarketers attitude and stated that all the calls are recorded and she would look into it. She said they are to clearly tell us these are gift cards you receive AFTER you send in a $100 receipt from that store. Heck I didnt find that out until I found this site right before I called her. I guess I will wait til Monday and see if she meant what she said.
They sent me a text on Friday. I called on Sunday. A recording said to call during business hours. The text was sent from a cell phone in Maine, telling me to call the 800 number. I called this morning (Monday) and they said I'd won the gift & the gas cards from participating in a survey. She said they just $4.95 for shipping. I said charge it on Friday she said whats the numbers? Immediately I knew it was a scam! I asked her didnt she want to know my name 1st. As she struggled to respond I asked the name of the company? Discount Savings Club. She said I completed an online survey about 2 months ago. I havent done an online survey all year! I asked to speak with a manager she said he was unavailabe. I asked for the website address so that I could checkout the companies validity and she hung up! They almost got me. Thanks to Google I know to research before relying.
i was left a text message saying to call this number8772252304 that i won 100$walmart gift card and stupid me felled for it i want to cancel but how when i know nothing about it i tried calling the number the same day and it was diconnected and this is the only number i have

I got a text saying thank you and to call for your $100 gift card. I did call seeing what it entiled because I do know that you can do certain trials and get some really good stuff for free, all it requires you to do is cancel within membership free trial period. The ones who keep getting charged are the idiots who forget to cancel/dont look at their billing statments. I also use to work for resort customer service so knew that you can get some nice gifts and all you have to do is say NO! anyways i called and of course got some foreign [censored] on the line. He said I get a $100 gc to either Target or Walmart plus up to $120 gas rebates. All i had to do was pay one time $4.95 for shipping and proccessing. Im a person who asks alot of questions and reassure things many time. I asked if I have to buy anything for gc, etc...he said no it will be a flat $100 to one of those stores. And that im in a trial membership for some discountshoppersavings club that i can cancel within the trial period. So I kept assuring that I get this without having to buy anything else, he said that is right. Then had to do some dumb authorization thing which explains why they do it because they have people complaining alot im sure. During it it then said I can get US weekly 6 issues for $1, sure why not, I read that magazine and I kno if its a trial, ill opt to cancel. Then someother $4.95 for some more gift cards. I said no, I do not want to be charged that. He tried explaining again, I said no. So only agreed to $4.95 and $1 charge. Then he said wait for packet, it will explain everything with your gift cards and pretty much hung up. Got my packet today, what a load of [censor]! The "gift card" was I can recieve 4 $25 gift cards when sending in receipts of $100 or more at the store! and of course no [censor]ing gas rebates. Furious I called right away to the same number-[censor]in foreigner woman. Told her Im pissed, not what I was promised, and to reimburse me immediately or I will dispute. She asked for my name and number and said she will forward my concerns to the shipping department. I said NO i want to talk to them immediately not [censor]ing wait. Hung up! Called back and got some guy foreigner and said I got hung up on and he said no you probably got disconnected. He happened to already know my name and number so the stupid chick was probably next to him. I told him I was lied to and need this resolved immediately. Said the most he could do is forward his concerns and I said no give me the number to that "customer service". called them and it was either press 1 to remove your name off list or press 2 to get a call back within 24 hours. [censor]ing ridiculous! So then I tried the number on the papers from the discount club. Got a white woman. Told her i was pissed and what i was promised. she said that the gift certificates were a thank you for doing a trial and that there should have been no way i was told i was getting a flat $100 fee. Told her I will dispute unless get money. She seemed a little snappy(heard it before) and said disputing wont do anything because I authorized the charge but she is willing to cancel my membership and reimburse me the $4.95 from 1-10 business days. I will await that charge. Now I just got to make sure these [censored]es dont continue to charge me and I need to check out the whole magazine situation. Yes I kno its dumb on my part but I have never ever been this mislead in my life!
I strongly disagree with the complaints listed. I have had a lot of experience with Discount Savings Club and Leisure Time Savings Club. If you call into the customer service center number that is clearly posted next to any of their service charges on your bank or card statement the customer service that is provided is bar none the best customer service that you will find anywhere. You will find that any question or concern that you have regarding your memberships will be addressed courteously, respectfully and with the utmost proffesionalism.
Realize this telemarketer quick talks you because they are slipping in the names of a couple of companies joining together for this package. They use "Discount Savings Club" as the face name. They're the ones who nail your account or credit card every month. You might think you've canceled from the website or an 877 number, but you're only hitting one of the satellite companies and they have zero power to stop the billing. That's the scam - you keep trying to stop but the charges keep appearing. When you finally call the correct number, yo have racked up a couple of month's worth of charges and "Discount Savings Club" has a no refund policy. Discount Savings Club - [protected] Take a doggie-downer of some sort before you call. They triple/double speak to the point it drives you crazy. Get the confirmation number emailed to you, otherwise you'll have to call them to cancel twice as well.

I was so frustrated with these people and others because I called for a "Free" Trial of Vazopren, which didn't work anyway, and all these other attached agreements was with it: Discount Savings Club; Leisure Time; DVD Entertainment and Nutra SCI. I gave the Vazopren people my checking info. for shipping purposes; but they ended up giving my checking info. to all the other people that I've mentioned. It was one big nitemare. But I got them all straightened out by calling my bank and telling them that I didn't authorize any of that other stuff. My bank faxed me over a form for the Fraud Dept. and they took care of it for me. I finally followed up with my cancellation #s and everything was OK! so far.
