Diploma Mill
Complaint Rating:
Company information: Belford High School United Arab Emirates belfordhighschool.com
Belford High School is definitely a scam/diploma mill. I have checked with all the legimitate accreditating boards, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), United States Department of Education (USDE), and Distance Education Education and Training Council (DETC) and Belford is not accreditated by any of these. If you are a legimitate online school then you would need to be recognized and accreditated by DETC. The accreditation boards they show BOUA and IAAOU are not legimitate and are put in place by Belford. Belford also refers to HEAC, Higher Education Accreditation Commission and this is also not legitimate. They charge at least $250 for a "high school diploma" and no telling how much for a "college degree" so they can well afford to pay people to get on a chat line and lie about the accreditation. I have a copy of my chat with them and when asked if the were accreditated by SACS they reply was "yes" and I knew better since I had just recieved an email from SACS reporting Belford was not accreditated. The number of people that have received diplomas and degrees from their program will also change each time you speak with someone affiliated with the scam. One time they will report over 30, 000 graduates and another the number is 80, 000 and in Belford has existed since 1956. This story goes on and on. Don't give them any more money. Help shut them down. I figure if I keep things stirred up for them that will eventually happen. Every chance I get I tell as many people as possible about their scam.
