Dentech Whitening Fraudulent sales practices

I have the same complaints as everyone else who ordered a free trial from Dentech. I want to be clear that I and most of the people who have filed complaints did carefully read everything as we were ordering. I saw an article on AOL that praised the system and quoted CNN, etc. I clicked on the link to find out more - that took me to the Dentech website. So I unfortunately did not see all of these complaints before I ordered. If I had, I would not have ordered from them. However, I did carefully read all of the prompts and tried to read all of the fine print. I answered no to all offers. Despite saying no, they still enrolled me in the monthly ordering system and the health program. I have tried to cancel and I will try all of the methods that everyone has suggested. But I also filed complaints with the BBB, the Missouri attorney general, the US AG, and AOL. I will continue filing complaints and posting complaints on the internet until they shut down. PLEASE file complaints with the BBB and government agencies, not just here on the internet. The complaints here are very helpful to the victims, but we need to stop Dentech from ensnaring more vistims.

Dentech Whitening unordered whitening product

After ordering and paying for a sample of dentechs whitening product I was shocked a few weeks later when I recieved a 30 day supply along with the realization that my credit card had been billed for $88.97. I never agreed to such a transaction and was told when I called the [protected] number that was on the envelope that there was no one I could talk to in the billing department and that the only way they might be contacted was by e-mail at [protected]@dentechwhitening.com.

If you know of any way that I can get my money returned to me or if there is a way I can send a formal complaint please let me know.

I was appalled that a company would pull such a stunt and it is times like this that make me very skeptical of purchasing online

Thank you,
Carol Shillabeer

Dentech Whitening Fraud

I was directed to a site to order a sample. Although some may say, read the fine print, I did. No where did it say anything about agreeing to a membership. I received the sample and on my bill, not only did I receive the shipping charge of $1.00 I agreed to, there is a charge for $88.97! I called and was directed to a website to contact customer service regarding billing issues. They have now responded via email stating I agreed to the terms on the web! I did not. Now they state they will credit half. I will report them to the better business bureau and blog everywhere! This is a complete scam!

Dentech Whitening Teeth Whitening Product

I signed up for a free trial of Dentech Whitening and about 2 weeks later I received a small bag in the mail with 2 tubes of whitening gel, and a small whitening type light device, and a note saying thank you for signing up for our monthly whitening program, at just $88.97 per month. I immediately called to cancel this program and when I e-mailed Dentech to get an RMA number to mail back those 3 items I was told I was past the 15 day trial periiod and there was nothing they could do. After several e-mails to this company, and I use the term lightly, I was told I could keep the product and they would refund $39.99. On top of the $88.97 charge I also saw a charge of $9.99 for something called an Axis Wellness Program which I definitely remembering stating that I did not want, and yet here is the first monthly charge on my account. I have since cancelled my credit card because I have read often the first cancellation does not take, so I am not taking any chances. Stay far, far away from this company and I am just lucky my girlfriend saw into this scam program and did not order the free trial.

Dentech Whitening hidden charges in free trial

I responded to a free oline offer for this companies teeth whitening system.
What a scam and a mess. I've now had my credit card charged $88.97 and have spent hours on the phone and online trying to get a refund and cancel further shipments!
These folks are real scam artist. I can't get anyone on their customer support team to give me instructions on returning their product or getting a refund. They keep saying that I should have read the fine print and I can only cancel further shipments.
Anyone wno has been able to get thru the company red tape and recieve a refund I'm all ears!

Completely agree...this same thing happened to me. The worst thing about it is that my husband and I ordered 2 trials which resulted in the charge of 88.97 twice. We spend hours on the phone aswell. We disputed the charge with our bank but more than likely it will still be charged because "we didnt read the fine print". TOTAL SCAM!

Dentech Whitening Cancellation

When you try to cancel this product you'd better make sure you get ALL of the information including date, time of call, who you've spoken to, cancellation number and if possible record the conversation. These people don't hear you the first time you call to cancel and keep right on charging you. I think the charges come out of your account at 12:01 am. on the 15 day after you order. No you don't get time for the mail to get the product to you. If it takes the mail 14 days to get it to you then you have less than 24 hours to try the product and let them know that you don't want it. Try baking soda and peroxide. It works just as well!

STOP! Do not attempt to purchase this product from this company.
The trial is SUPPOSED to be a free trial and the total for the dental whitening product is $1.99 with free shipping.
Upon receiving the product you get a letter that tells you if you would like a full refund please contact support@dentechwhitening.com within 15 days. I received this product on July 28th, 2017 and I was billed $88.97 on August 3rd, 2017.
I am experiencing quite a challenge in disputing this matter but I will succeed.
I advise you all not to fall for this gimmick.
Once you call the number [protected], they will ask you for your name and your zip code and tell you that you will receive an email confirmation in which I did not. Experiencing the same problem as Ms. La Salle, NY

This is advertised as a free trial, a one-time charge of about $1.00 for teeth whitening. Boy I wish I looked for complaints on this one! I cannot believe I actually did this! I feel like a complete idiot. After 15 days, they charge you about $90 (and supposedly every month after) to continue use of this product. I am fuming with anger as I am a single mother with limited income. I am reporting them to the FCC because I received over 15 harassing phone calls from these people after ordering. What a SCAM!

I signed up and received trial offer for $1.99 and didn't realize the auto-ship portion of the trial offer. The next month my account was charged $88.97 (I did not receive any auto-ship). I tried to get a refund and have been denied so far. I will not stop disputing this. I believe this is a huge rip-off. I saw advertisement on MSN's homepage. NEVER, NEVER sign up for anything like this again!

remove the charges of $88.97 from my bill. I am returning your product as I think your company is not doing business in a legal manner. I am not pleased to be billed without my knowledge for something I never needed or wanted. I did not wish to be billed in addition to my authorized bill of $1.97. you can remove that also. I am reporting you to the BBB & to my credit card company. Bad business practices.

I ordered a free trial that should have cost me $1.95 in shipping ONLY. I was then charged $58.76 for a product I did not want!
I would like to cancel this shipment and any future shipments of this product.
I don't appreciate the lack of disclosure and unathorized charges to my account.

I sent for a 15 day trial offer for a tooth whitener. Before the 15 days were up I received another shipment I hadn't ordered. When I called to cancel as they said you could to do whithin 15 days, I was told it was too late and they refused to take the shipment back and erase the credit card charge, and refered me to their website to correct the problem. I went their website, but there is nothing on it to even tell them about the problem. I also found numerous other complaints of the same nature about this company, it is apparently nothing but a scam.

I tried the free trial offer for a $.97 S&H fee, but was billed an extra $1.00 for insurance (which I did not request). Then yesterday received a membership in a club I had never heard of And my account had been charged $29.99. When I called to complain they canceled the membership, but would not refund the charge. They said it was valid and I approved it when the Dentech called to confirm my address. They did not mention this additional service in that call. This is just another example of a telemarketing ripoff.

Reading complaints listed by others sounds like a re-enactment of my own experience with the internet company. I was never able to find the "Fine print" referred to by the service personnel that supposedly explained their policy. Thank goodness my Capital One stands behind their customers!
Dear PTL;
In response to wanting to cancel my DENTECH WHITENING "trial", I was informed I needed to email "support@dentechwhitening.com" for a postal RMA#. Once I had the RMA#...I was to return the product for a refund. I have just rec'd my RMA#...so time will tell!
Good luck...and next time READ the fine print!

I have never dealt with a company that has outright ripped me off then
run me around in this manner! The "free" trial was ordered on 7/2/09 the very next day while checking my account I noticed I was charged 88.97 I called immediately and canceled the product The charges were removed immediately . I did not think about it again.
Friday 7/17/09 I was again reviewing my bank account and noticed
I had been charged again 88.97 this time there was an additional 9.99
added for a wellness company Axis wellness. I was furious I called and canceled yet again and of course they had no record of my cancellation
I was told the account would be closed however the 88.97 and 9.99 were billed to my account. I called again the customer service rep hung up on me. I called at least 8 more times and go no where fast. I finally as was suggested by the rep sent an email I got a cookie cutter response that was computer generated It would have to be I can not imagine there would be enough man power to answer all these angry messages. I called again This time I got a customer rep that had a heart he emailed the billing dept for me the response I got from that was 1/2 my money back I can't even tell you how mad I am DO NOT ORDER from dentech dazzlewhite or axis wellness IT IS A RIPOFF

As a representative of Dentech Whitening, I can assure you that Arin has

absolutely no involvement with our company whatsoever. We have been

made aware that customers have tried to call him in an attempt to be

refunded for our product -- not only is this futile, as Arin is not a

part of Dentech Whitening in any way, but it is illegal as well. Arin

has contacted us to alert us to this activity, and is especially

concerned because the address provided is not his own. Whoever is

posting false information or trying to go on a poorly-researched witch

hunt in an attempt to be refunded is wasting their time. As always, you

may call [protected] or write support@dentechwhitening.com if you

have any questions or billing issues, including refund requests. We

must urge all customers to follow our return procedure and not harass an

individual who has no involvement with our company.

Thank you,

I signed up for trial of whitener and only paid s&h. I am very careful about fine print and found nothing when ordering this product. I looked at my bank statement and was charged $88.97 by them and also $9.99 under the name axis wellness portal. When I called their number the guy I talked to was very rude and kept acting like he couldn't hear me. I have contacted my bank to let them know the charges were fraudulant so we will see what happens. Do not sign up for this free trial. The trial product arrives looking like someone packaged it out of their basement. You are also led to believe that you will receive something other than what you receive.

There is an amazingly simple way to NEVER get put in a situation like this again, no matter what the product is, how buried the return language is in all the text or how dishonest the seller is.

Just make sure you have a credit card with a company that provides a VIRTUAL CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT NUMBER service. I use CitiBank card at citi.com and they have the service available as part of the account agreement. This desk or cloud app allows you to generate one-time credit card numbers that are unique and act just like your regular card, including expiration date and security code. Mine allows me to put in whatever charge I want and have it be valid from one month on out. See the file attached that shows the option window.

I use my regular CC for local purchases and trusted sellers but with anything that can go south--like a lot of these offers--I never use my regular cards. I generate a virtual account, put in the minimal amount (for free offers I'll put in $1) and limit it to one month. If they jack with me, the most they are going to get is $1. They can whistle Dixie for the rest of it because they don't have my actual account to charge. No worries for me...it is worth $1 just to know how pissed off they must be.

I would highly recommend this tactic. If your present cards don't have this feature, find one that doesn't charge a yearly fee and keep it for your online purchases. It is totally worth the effort never having to go through stuff like you're reading here.

In August I immediately called the phone number for information on returning merchandise that was printed on the outside of an unopened package of Dentech whitening that I believe I did not order, and I followed the recorded telephone instructions I was given, which told me to send an email for further instructions about returning the package. I never received a reply to that email, so I sought help from the credit card company. However, the credit card company has now reinstated the charge specifically because I had not returned the unopened package! So, I have been caught in what appears to be a vicious circle of scam by Dentech. I wanted to return it immediately, I followed the instruction on the package, but I never received a reply to my request for return instructions.

Dear Customer,

We have carefully reviewed your account history and your unique situation, and feel that in this circumstance we are willing to simply issue a credit in good faith for the amount in question.

You have been issued a full refund in the amount of $88.97. This has been posted back to the card that you left on file with us; however, please be advised that it may take three to five business days to be reflected in your account.

Sincerely,

WAS not aware needed any # or information to return package. DID not even open. Package returned noted RTS without even looking to see what it was. NO instructions on pkg for return, etc...
NO credit received, NO satisfaction on phone either. SCAM for many people trying to "sample" the best others have to offer. NEVER expecting to receive such POOR assistance in the end. This type of SCAM does injustice for decent companies who honor and respect the public for these types of opportunities!

I ordered a free trial offer of a tooth whitening product and was told all I had to do was pay the freight for the trial period. I ordered the FREE trial product and then started receiving more and more of the product and was billed to my original credit card. I had no idea this was going to happen. I wanted to try the product and if it worked, I would probably have purchased more. As it has turned out, I have not yet even tried the original FREE sample. I emailed the company to stop sending the product and asked for a refund of the unauthorized charges to my credit card.
Please send me an RMA number and an address so I can return your product.

Thank you,
