My mother went to aspen dental in orange Connecticut, she went in they gave her a price of 1200.00 and they agreed ok she ask for dentures ok all was well until she received her dentures and they were extremely to big for her mouth and what ever chemical they used on her dentures made her face swell up. So she called aspen dental and told them her problem and they brushed her. They told her there was nothing to be done, now she received her credit card statement and saw they charged her card 1700.00 and now she have dentures that look like horse teeth and they have a bad smell to them the dentures smell rotten. And think that is wrong for them to treat their new customers. I feel they should help and solve this problem by giving all that money back or fix the dentures and give some of the money back. Now i know this is a win win situation and i am not gonna sit back and let them scam my mother like this so someone needs to get back to me as soon as possible i will be forced to get the professionals involved. The patient name is mary johnson and if you need to get in touch with any one contact me her daughter amanda johnson at this e- mail address [protected]@comcast.net and i hope to hear from someone very soon. Thank you very much because aspen dental you made my day by scamming my mother.

I am dealing with Aspen dental now on 08/24/2023 went in to get a tooth extracted it had broken from a terrible root canal. It really did not need to be saved it was a lower molar right bottom side. I told the dentist all I needed was an extraction he fear mongered me about my jaw appearance and told me I needed bone grafting and I never said that’s what I wanted they just did it? But then he was unable to even extract the tooth correctly and left pieces of it under the graft and flippilanty said if you have any problems come back? What? He didn’t even have the skill to extract the tooth. He said to me while trying I’m gonna cause more harm than good at this point so I’m gonna stop. WTF I’m so mad! I’m 52 and have had little work

I sure wish my husband and I had read the reviews also. My husband previously had a set of dentures and they were accidentally broken. Therefore, I made him an appointment at Aspen dental because we had heard they do the care credit program and we did not have the money to pay upfront. The first visit went well, they did the wax molds etc.. signed him up for the 18 months interest free. The total amount was close to $2700.00. Needless to say they are very nice until they have your money then forget it, They are the biggest [censored] you ever want to meet. The receptionist with her 6 ft long eyelashes acts like she doesn't want to be there, My husband had an appointment for 8am on a Saturday morning, had the appointment card in hand. They say you are not in the computer so we will have to work you in(very rudely) after and hour and a half he gets seen, for them to tell him there is nothing wrong with his teeth, it is him . His teeth actually drop out of his mouth, they are too big, they are crooked. He has blisters on his gums, the bite is off. He is very dissatisfied with the teeth and the service from Aspen Dental in Griffin, Ga. Today he goes back to get an adjustment again because his bite is still off and he still has blisters in his mouth. Very rude staff again and Dr. Dawson proceeds to argue with my husband saying his mouth is crooked not his teeth. He attempts to explain to her that when he bites down his left side drops, she proceeds to say the exact opposite of what he is telling her. I assume she was tired of hearing him because she tells another staff member that he's done he can go.
So, Basically she dismisses my husband and his concerns about HIS mouth. As a professional that is very unorthodox. As a wife it PISSES me off, we pay good money for dental services and we should not be treated half [censored]. Now, As a Business you should rectify the situation, Have the dentist fix his teeth to where he is satisfied with them and we should receive a significant discount for this situation. If this is not handled within 24 hours I WILL contact an attorney as well as the Better Business Bureau. I look forward to your prompt reply.

I went to aspen dental for fillings. They took xrays. Aftrwards I was immediately put in a dental chair. The hygenst was right in the room . Before she looked at the xrays or my mouth she said I need a deep cleaning. She saivd that the dentest would not do any thing untill I have a deep cleaning for the price of 2500 dollars. I was then scheduled for spacing. The measures the spaces in my teeth .90 percent ware 3 or under. And as ayou get deep cleaning for pockets over3. Dr melanik came in and started probing my teeth with a sharp object he says cavity there and started probing the cavity. Afterwards when I was home I got Trigemanal neuragia. I begged for pain pills but he said take tylenol. The next appt. I again begged for pain pills. He appeared angry and threw my xray into my lap and said go to the hospital and get your tooth pulled.

I have been trying to get set of dentures that would fit for almost two years and I still have not been successful. Aspen Dental have tried to get the upper and lower dentures to fit but when the upper would fit the lower would be off and vice versa. I spoke to my attorney about it and she suggested that I give them another chance, I went back and Aspen Dental tried to make a tray for another impression and I am still experiencing the same problem. I have tried to get my money back but have not been successful. I left the first set with them and now I have a second set that's just sitting in my bathroom on the sink. When I last spoke with the manager, she told me that they had tried everything as well as I had done everything and the only thing she could suggest was plastic surgery; And I said no. I tried to call her back to see if we could began the steps to getting my money but the clerk stated that the manager was with another patient. I asked her to have the manager call me but that never happen, please help!

I had a pre-approved credit card from Aspen Dental in July 2007 when I first entered their office. The maximum was for $5500. After examination the total cost of all dental work would be about $8800. I also provided them with my dental insurance card. I signed an authorization which allowed Aspen to take the maximium of $5500 from my credit account as work was being done. After 3 visits, I really did not like the personnel there and canceled my future appointments / work. I received a bill from Apsen Dental via GE Bank and made a payment of $259.00. I then received a statement from my dental insurance that indicated the insurance had paid most for my initial appointments but a small amount was due from me. However, I kept receiving invoices from GE Bank for $259 payments. Apen Dental withdrew the entire $5500 credit max I had and placed it in their bank, having me pay the installments on work that was not going to be completed and Aspen billed my insurance for the same work! I have been threatened daily by phone calls from GE Bank as Aspen Dental refuses to return the money.

In Oct. of last year 2010 I had a tooth pulled comes to find out 2 months later i was having tooth aches in the area where the tooth was pulled . II paid for two more conciltations wicth was 164.00 dollars mind you, then the endodentist told me too different teeth needed root canals he really wasn't sure ! When i said screw it cant take the pain anymore pull the tooth he said was bad, after a quick few exrays in the chair that day . The female endodentist took a look and comes to find out the he had left the roots from the tooth pulled ! She did the procedure and i ended up with stitches. It's funny that they advertise easy qualifying for credit or in house financing for dental work because they want you to be healthy and smile but in reality you don't get approved and in house just means you have to pay 60% of the entire cost of your particular service, which in my case was $5000.00 so i needed $3500 upfront. I, along with many other patients can not afford that and have been turned down for thier"credit" (that was after my insurance was maxed out by them). So, this leads me to wonder how much do they care? I have been to dentist after dentist to get the help I need, they all tell me the same thing, but if you can't pay they send you home to suffer. My health deteriorates every day because it's all about money for these "doctors". What are we supposed to do. Aspen dental was my last resort because of thier advertising. Completely FALSE.

I don't work at this company, but I have a friend working there. The women who is supposed to be H.O.D is almost never at work! She goes on leave for how many weeks, returns to work and then all of a sudden puts in sick leave for days on end, leaving the staff alone to do her work as well as their own. Why? There's has been complaints about this women, but somehow she always gets away with it. She's more at home than at work and she's head of the department. Leaving the others to take the rap for work that's not done that was supposed to be her responsibility. Please do something about this! This is so unfair!

The first time I scheduled an appointment here for 11:45 a.m., then when I came at 11:55 a.m. they forced me to reschedule because another appointment was set to begin at noon. I was told "our hygenists always run on time." When I came back for the rescheduled appointment, I showed up 10 minutes early and was not taken back until 15 minutes after my scheduled time. Doctors are always late, which is why I was late the first time -- apparently it is only OK for them to waste MY time.

On top of this, the hygenist refused to clean my teeth at the second appointment because I have "an infection in my gums." I was not told what kind of infection, or shown where it was or what it looked like. I believe my gums would actually hurt if there was something wrong with them that would preclude a cleaning, but that's just me. I could understand if it was periodontitis or even gingivitis, but there was never a diagnosis! They wanted me to do a special cleaning that would cost me $221 more than my insurance would cover. None of my other dentists have ever made this an issue.

I have seen other reviews claiming the same kinds of things at other Aspen Dentals across the country. I'd recommend going to another dentist. I know I will be.

My husband had an appt. for cleaning and I had a 1st time appt. at Aspen dental. He was told his would cost $244 because he didn't have insurance. We were given 4 pages to fill out for my info. My husband sat down with me to do the work because I am disabled and cannot write. When he returned the papers to the front desk he was told he couldn't see the hygienist because he hadn't paid yet and had missed his appt. Instead of asking him to pay then, Ashley lied and said she had asked how he would pay. She didn't ask, she only told him what it would cost. My husband got upset with her because he intended to pay. Another woman stepped up, Celeste. She also was rude. They both were unprofessional. We ended up feeling very frustrated and disappointed. We asked to see a manager but was told she had already gone home. A manager in training came up and asked us to come around to the back of the desk area to talk to us. I explain my disability to her and how hard it at been just to get to the appt. By this time we had had enough of Aspen Dental. Glad we found out how they operate. Glad we won't be going back ever again. Anyway I hope this informs others before they have to find out for themselves. I think $244 is a lot to pay for a cleaning also!

I went to them because of an abscess on my upper gum. Was told I needed a root canal to fix this. All to the tune of 900.00+. I'll just go elsewhere and get what teeth I have left pulled and get dentures. Was not given a prescription for antibiotics for the abcess. I also asked about the white thrush on my tongue I have had for years. Was told it was something called fuzzy tongue. The dentist was rude. The girl still in the room when the dentist left told me to look up fuzzy tongue on the internet for home treatments. I'm like really?

All they are concerned about is pulling teeth and removing old fillings.

They wanted to pull 10 of my son's teeth without even trying to fill any cavities. Then when it was my turn they xrayed my mouth. I am not a dentist but I have seen my xrays before and I don't know how anyone could see a cavity from the messy xrays they had. The dentist only was with me for less than 5 minuets and told me to see the manager, who tells me that all of my old fillings have to come out and I will need caps on all of my teeth. When I said I wasn't going for any of that he then told me I have a dental desease. The dentist or what ever he was never said a word to me about that. All they wanted was to make $20, 000. from my son and myself.

Went to Aspen dental with my husband and our insurance. I was hurried to the financial person quickly and told my treatment plan was $400. When I asked to see what the charges were for... it included an electric toothbrush and an expensive rinse. Nobody ever asked me if I wanted to buy their expensive electric toothbrush or rinse? They just put it on my bill and assumed I would pay for it! Well I told them I already had an electric toothbrush and Listerine worked just as good as their stuff and to take all the extra's off my bill. I think i paid $80 for actual dental services. I did not return the following year nor will I ever!

I should have checked this business out prior to switching my provider. My visit was an emergency with an abscessed tooth. Yes it was treated and an appt. made to extract the tooth. Suddenly the appt. was canceled by them due to the fact I noted on my initial application last fall I was taking aspirin for a foot I had broken. This is not an everyday dose nor is it or was it ever prescribed. Now this is 6 mos. later and I need clearance from my MD that I am not taking aspirin. Keep in mind it is 2 weeks later and I still have the tooth which will become infected again and they won't even refill the prescription. What to do? Pull the tooth myself!

They have no ethical medical morals and the office environment is extremely unprofessional. The tv commercial marketing seems like a dream until you experience their real talents.

I went to aspen dental back in 2009 I do believe. I went in there with a pain on the top tooth so they did a exray and a exam then they told me i had 3 cavities and the start of parodontal disease so they gave me the price and i gave them 1000.00 to fill 3 cavities i had so many visits they picked my teeth and put stuff on them every time I was wondering when they were gonna do the cavities on my last visit they told me i had a couple dollars left on my account i was like what they wanted to charge me 500.00 more dollars to fill the cavities i think i should get some of my money back.

All they want is CareCredit. Josh lied, gave us false discounts to make it seem like they cared but all they want is your money. These people operate with a bait-and-switch business model. Don't be deceived by the cheap visit and X-rays. They plan on robbing you blind before you get out the door. After $3, 800 on our care credit account they want another $2, 100 to finish! Outraged!

I was told I needed a new top denture and bottom I did need a bottom but my top one was less than three years old they said they could not alight the top and bottom to fit correct without a new one. So I went for it they then checked my insurance told me my cost was 176.00. Ok I can afford that. Then come to find out insurance would not pay they charged me for the denture 2, 500. Not happy.

Aspen Dental in Fort Walton Beach, Florida agreed to give our money back as per the "Satisfaction Guarantee" after never being able to get a comfortable fit and multiple teeth falling out of the dentures within days of getting them, however, when the day came to giving back the dentures, as you get 90 days to return them, they did not want to take them back and have been playing the "I've got to call so and so for permission" game for over two weeks now, just trying to push us beyond the 90 days it seems, so then they can say we didn't comply with the rules.
These people are the worst to deal with, even the main company representatives never return our calls; but of course the poor lady who does answer the phone and takes all the grief is apologetic, but told us it's the Dentist that owns that particular practice that makes the final decision.

Aspen dental screwed up my mouth this happened in 2013 and never been resolved. it was going to be a one day procedure and I would have a nice smile. that has come and gone and no smile. I cannot wear dentures now because dr bala left no bone and without bone the denture will not have suction to stay in place. this is going to cost me 25K more that I was told and I don't have the money. Help I don't know what to do? Any suggestions. This service of care was far below the standard used to measure performance. We have them in a law suit but running out of money. thinking about taking law into my own hand and blowing a couple rounds - if you know what I mean. I will be picketing aspen dental and dr bala to make sure these dentists don't get anymore business. please help us reactivation. Take away aspen dentals license and dr bal'as license too. teach them both a license.. take away the fun and see what happens next. how bad can this get. good luck!

After two and a half years, , , 3800.00 spent (thanks to Care Credit and and an incredibly high interest rate), , countless visits to several different Aspen offices, , , here I sit, WITHOUT a functioning denture.!, , Poor quality, rotating dentists.. (no "continuity of care)... waiting 2 weeks for an "emergency " appointment, , , having the denture crack after only 8 months... going on my THIRD "repair", , , only to have it crack again a few hours later... lack of professionalism by staff... I could go on.. but what's the use... Here's the bottom line... once they are paid up front.. (Care Credit)... they have their money, you are left to deal with the credit card company (Care Credit).. and they treat you like you were gum on the bottom of their shoe!
Odds of having a satisfactory experience with Aspen is about 1 in a million.. (if that!).. I am beyond frustrated, angry, hopeless, , and any other negative emotion you can think of. My humble advice to ANYone thinking about going to Aspen? RUNNNNNN, , , DO NOT WALK, , , AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy... much less my family and friends. I wouldn't wish this hell on anyone!
And may I add... this is the very "abbreviated" version of just how awful the whole Aspen experience has been.

Patients are sometimes their worst enemies. They think getting all their teeth pulled and dentures made will be the ultimate nirvana. And then they always look for the cheapest places to do it.

Virtually all my patients are very sorry they lost their teeth and had dentures. But virtually all my patients can wear the dentures I make, and they look nice.

On the other hand, if you go to a sleazy corporate clinic where inexperienced young dentists are pressured to bill maximum revenues, you are asking for trouble. It takes years of experience to get good at constructing dentures. Recently graduated dentists usually cannot do it well.

Patients please:

1. Avoid extracting all teeth. Have partials instead of full dentures.
2. Go to reputable dentists who are experienced in making removable partials and dentures, not young graduates at sleazy corporate clinics.

my son got his top teeth and part of the bottom pulled out, he has a bad infection in his mouth and
now the dentist tells us we have to pay almost five hundred more dollars for an oral surgeon to open up what he has already started and i have paid almost five thousand dollars and i told them i had no more money and they said ok, no money, no help is their real policy.he is in pain, but i am so afraid of the infection in his mouth.i wish i had looked on the internet first, but now i am too late.

Update: Over a month and still no dentures :-( I'm honestly not sure who to blame. The dentist is telling me my mouth is too small to fit dentures into and I will likely have to go elsewhere to have my jaw bone shaved to make room. I honestly don't understand how I have no room considering I had room for 32 teeth when I went in there. I'm thankful my dentist did an excellent job with managing pain during the extractions but I'm disappointed in the denture process. I paid for comfylites and paid with cash I have no money to go elsewhere for additional work. Not certain if the dentist could have done anything differently so I'm unsure if this the fault of Aspen dental or just my bad luck.

I came to Aspen Dental a year ago. I bought a denture they had on sale. They made my denture, the teeth were big a crooked, and bucked. I said I was dissatisfied. Dr. August told me" no smile is meant to be perfect" and more or less told me to bad. I had a trip to go on and within my first month I lost 4 teeth in the front that fell out they split up the middle. It has all been repaired. They told me the meterial could not hold up to my bite, and would have to up grade to comfylites. I get my impressions today for those. Hope to have a better outcome with these.

Had surgery this past Fri at the Aspen Dental in Cleveland TN. 32 teeth were pulled and I must say it was horrible but not through any fault of my dentist. My dentist has been amazing. He was not stingy with the anesthetic. If I told him I hurt he gave me more then worked elsewhere while it kicked in. He was patient and understanding when I had a nice little panic attack. I would definitely recommend my dentist. As for the dentures. My tops turned out amazing. Way better then I thought temps would look and fairly comfortable considering I've just had 32 teeth removed. My bottoms on the other hand were ridiculous and have to be completely redone. I usually have a slight overbite which I want to keep but the lowers gave me a crazy underbite and I can't even close my mouth. My dentist was very upset with the guy who made them and called him in to show him the issues and tell him why something was important. Idk it was medical jargon to me. The point is that he cared and seems to be willing to fix the issue without any pushing from me. I have to go back later this week to get a new mold done before the bottoms can be fixed. I knew this was going to be a long process and there would be bumps so I'm not worried. I'm sorry so many have had bad experiences but I think it's largely dependent on the dentist treating you. I'd recommend mine to others for sure.

I was in my local Aspen Dental today and had a very good experience. Granted I've not had the actual dental work done yet but they treated me with complete respect which shocked me. Due to the state of my teeth and the fact that I'm 33 a lot of people just assume I'm a druggie and treat me as such. Not them. My doctor was kind, considerate and compassionate. In fact the entire office staff was pleasant. Next Friday I am getting all of my teeth pulled and my temporary dentures. I chose the comfilyte dentures and was told it will be 4-6 months before my mouth would be healed enough to get the permanent ones. So far I'm impressed with them. I realize that could change once they do the work or after I receive my finished product. I will provide updates as I go.

Had several thousand dollars of dental work done. One of those procedures was a root canal and crown. From day one it gave me problems. I have never been able to eat on that side of my mouth since. I can barely touch my face where the tooth is located. Every few months my face swell and they would put me on antibiotics, and bring me back ex-ray it and say it just needed adjustment. After doing this five different times, I went to another dentist and had it ex-rayed. Turns out they only did half of the root canal. They did not go all the way to the end of the root. Now I have to go to a specialist to have it finished and will cost me more than the original work cost. I can not even get a call back from Aspen"s office manager.

am 23 year old female with good health. I still have all 4 wisdom teeth. The morning of 8/5/2011 at 3am I woke up with a mouth full of blood from one of my wisdom teeth, the one that has given me plenty of issues. Immediately, I googled my options. Aspen Dental came up and had an open appointment at 11am that morning. They took me earlier, which was fine. They did X-Rays and a consultation. At the end they said I had 8 Cavities and Advanced Periodontal Disease. So out of curiousity, and knowing nothing about that subject I asked "what role does that play with my wisdom tooth that is bleeding", they said "you definitely need to take those out soon", which I understand. They told me that it was highly important for me to get and SRP asap, so that my teeth don't fall out. Now to any eye, my teeth look healthy. I went through with this SRP and they implanted Arestin into my gums, only on the right side. All of this totaled $2, 384 dollars, and did not include the primary reason for going".

This is where my frustration comes in!. Today I went to get a second opinion because, my wisdom teeth are still in tact and I now have flapping gums and things that I have never experienced. This denstist said, my bones where all the way up to my teeth and that I have gingivitis not Periodontal Disease. No one at Aspen was a Periodontist. Now I have a right side that is bleeding in my mouth, gums flapping around, and the fear that the original problem will come up again as it had not been solved. They put a total of 27 Arestin just on the right side of my mouth, each Arestin costing $37 costing $1000:. They did not do a deep cleaning, or anything else:. The total bill mentioned above. Lets just say that, this is not the end, thankfully I have strong healthy teeth, with gums that could be worked on and will be seeing a real dentist once this heals.

Aspen Dental should be closed down! I have not been to the dentist in a few years and setup an appointment with Aspen detal for a cleaning and exam, by the end of my visit I was told I needed a deep cleaning and some antibiotics that would cost 1, 500.00 never going over any of my options or what my insurance did or didnt cover, never gave me pricing for anything they were trying to charge me for, they made it sound like my teeth would fall out if I did not have this done (mind you my teeth are in pretty good shape) So I agreed and got sucked into a payment plan. So they started my fillings and tried rushing me to get the deep cleaning done witch was starnge. Fortunately the fillings took longer than expected and I had to leave to pick my daughters up from school so they never got to the deep cleaning. My boyfriend also had an appiontment with them earlier that day and he came home with print outs of everything he was being charged for and what his insurance covered and I wondered why I didnt get one, My next appt I asked for a print out of my charges before any other work was done, she told me the deep cleaning was $500.00 so I told her I changed my mind and did not want it I didnt realsie it was so exspensive and I would just like a regular cleaning instaed, I was told if I didnt get a deep cleaning they wouldnt give me ANY cleaning! So I said fine I dont want one then just do the fillings, they did 2 and my mouth hurt for days after they were done. I needed 2 more setup another appt while leaving, it was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. the next day they called me that afternoon asking me if i could make it in early, I said I would be there by 4:30 she said that was great! I got there to a full waiting room and was forced to wait until 5:45 only 15 minutes until my actual appt! I asked why i was asked to come in early she said sorry we are running behind which was not an answer as to why they asked me to come in early! It gets worse! I was placed in the chair numbed, the dentist left for about 30 minutes after numbing me, came back drilled me, left me again for about 30 minutes, in the meantime I can hear him going from room to room with unhappy patiants, he comes back does the filling, and says sorry we were supposed to do 2 today but I only have time to do one! I spent 4 hours there for ONE filling! They made me pre-pay for my services which are not done yet and I am at the point of letting them keep the money, I will NEVER go back!
