I was a Shift Leader for approximately 13 years at Del Taco in Twentynine Palms Ca. I loved this job, and did quite well there. I was very polite to all customers, never had any complaints. I worked very hard and did my job. Well on Monday May 17th 2010 Adam Levy Area Director for area 44 came down for a visit. He came through the drive thru, placed his order and then came into the store. He did not say a word to any of us. I had 3 new people working, in which I was training and doing my own work. He did is normal audit of the store, and then left. I was telling everyone what a good job we did because he didnt say anything different. or at all for that matter. The next day Tues May 18, my general manager in which who was an awesome manager, proceeded to tell me that Adam will figure out what he is going to do to you by the end of the day. I was kind of shocked because, as I said before I thought we did a great job. So my shift ended at 4 pm and I went home knowing nothing. I was then text messaged telling me that Adam Levy said I was being demoted losing 1.00 in pay. My general manager told me earlier in the day that Adam's visit to the store was horrible and the outside order taker was on his phone, in which, I was unaware of. Adam Levy should not be the AD for Del Taco. He is not in any way material for this job. In the time he has been Area Director for Area 44, he has harrassed employees, called employees ###s and incompetent, threatened jobs on a daily basis. I loved my job and my general manager. I was devasted to hear this news and acted on impulse and quit. Del Taco is a great business to work for, as long as Adam Levy is not part of it. Something needs to be done about this. I have been quiet until now because I'am still friends with a few people that work for Del Taco, and the same thing is being done to them. The most disgusting part of this is, is that no one could go to the higher ups about their problems with adam in fear of retaliation.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Del Tacos in the Coachella Valley suck now that Adam is gone, sales have gone down and service is horrible, long waits in the Drive Thru, Jason took over and he did better than Jaime but not the same as Adam. Now there's a new guy in charge, and it's back to [censor] again like when Jaime had it. Adam was by far the best district manager that Del Taco ever had out here. From what I heard, he sued the company and got paid cause they did him wrong, I still go to the one in Palm Desert from time to time and you can see a big difference as in crap! I know this because I used to work there, trust me not a good place to eat anymor. Adam is with Little Caesars now and is kickin [censor], good for him.
I don agree with this complaint because Adam was the best boss I ever have, he always respect his employees and team and he work very hard all the time, he was my boss and we always call him chingon
I remember Adam, and he was a very good boss and leader. I worked for Del Taco in [protected] at the store in Thousand Palms, everyone respected Adam and he was the Area Supervisor of the year 2 times, and his boss Don Stoops always came in to visit and talked very highly about Adam because he was very professional. I personally don't believe any of the negative comments a d rumors because I saw for myself how he was. I have been to the Del Tacos after Adam left, and the new boss Jaime and then Jason, and it's not the same, the service has gone down, and the stores are much dirtier then when Adam was around.
the worst thing on the weekends on the night time the guy who takes your order in anthem i found out his name is rodrigo everytime he opens the window he makes fun of the people and one night he open the window and all he smell of was of beer i dont know how they allow a man to work like that and of weed now i just dont understand how they can allow such thing . as i know he working tonight i just saw him 20 minutes ago and didnt even bother to order because he never do a good job or either he tells me he closed the del taco already i just want to know what they going to do about this problem they should investgate this guy
Te del taco. 1023 is store that only cares But certain people and should be looked at. I am an employee of this Store and I have been off the schedule for two weeks. When i called the GM she stated to me that i was only on call and was given no guaranteed days. When i asked why she stated that she couldn't afford To put me on. So i have to wait for a call. But then they call me everyday after that. I work another job that is full time and This is getting ridiculous. I feel discriminated against with being the only one that doesnt Get put on the schedule. I hope something gets done

Tena Simmering is the original complainer, and boy was she a joke, I worked at the Del Taco in 29 Palms, CA with her, and I was working there in 2010 but was not there when this happened, but Adam was a great boss from what I remember he was very professional, he drove a bimmer with plates that said del taco, a badass ride! Tena (or Teena) was a fat slob and was a poor excuse for a shift manager, she would always screw around, and didnt care about her job, and yeah, she would cheat on the drive through timer with Danny the store manager who was also a joke, he would come in drunk on his days off, and he was hardly there, coming in late and leaving early all the time, he was all happy when Adam left, talkin all kind of stuff like he had something to do with it, he wanted to make me a shift manager, but I said fock that, too much stress for $9 per hour, I quit, and I've been in there a few times since I quit, and its a joke, long waits, bad service, bunch of tweakers there now
Hahah. Props to the ppl who brought up the affairs that Adam was having with his employees. This is a true statement. And the people who think he was a good boss need counseling. He must of been sleeping with the ones who liked him or paying them. After all had plenty of money. I would to if I lived in a trailer with mommy. Little Caesars I feel sorry for you. Your company will soon go down!
JCM is right, I also worked for Adam Levy for 7 years, and he was a very hard and dedicated worker, always thinking about what was best for Del Taco. These people making complaints about him are haters, and bad workers that dont have anything else to do but hate instead of just doing their job. I wish Adam would come back to Del Taco because the new District Manager is crazy, and doesnt know what she is doing, things are very different now, and it is all going downhill fast.
Adam is a very dedicated and professional District Manager, I worked for him for many many years and everyone who worked with him looked up to him as a great teacher and motivator. The Del Tacos in the Palm Springs and Palm Desert area were in very bad condition before Adam took over as District Manager, and he cleaned them up and turned them around. I remember that Adam won awards every year for being the best district manager and having the best numbers. Since Adam left Del Taco all of the stores in this area have gone back down, and are very dirty and terrible customer service. I still work for Del Taco and I know who started these rumors about him which are not true. Berline Reynoso who is an illegal alien was fired for cheating and stealing, she was mad and jealous because she wanted to be an assistant manager but did not do a good job so she tried to get her boss Graciela in trouble by calling Human Resources and making up stories and rumors about her. She made up stories about Adam and her, and accused her of cheating, and mishandling cash, and Human Resources came in 2 different times, once in September of 2010, and again in Feb of 2011 and did big investigations, and found that Graciela did nothing wrong and that all of the calls came from one person who was Berline Reynoso. The rumors about Adam and Graciela were also started by her ex husband who is also an illegal alien, he had a restraining order against him for hitting her, and he was trying to get back at her because she left him last year and took the kids, so he accused her of cheating on him with Adam which I know is not true, and now he is in jail for drunk driving, I wish that Adam never left Del Taco because it is really bad, even the Regional Manager Dave O was making comments the other day that the stores do not look the same now that Adam is gone, I am thinking about quitting and working for a better company
I agree with this persons, the store #829 it is always dirty in also the manager had and bad actituded her name is, this girl graciela gonzalez she always looks bad and by the way it does not have good personality, it does not give to good presentation not this combing ang its always wrinkled clothes, remenber the store #829 it is the one in 39500 Berkey Dr. palm desert ca.

I agree with the last person to put your comment, I also knew who is adam levy, and it is true that it is very despotic and obnoxious screaming and he always offended, abused his position and power in the company, what that I find it incredible to discover that the manager graciela gonzalez heel is her lover, and Co workers all we suspected something about it because they always had a especial deal to her, I can not believe that she has been cheating on her husband all this time, but we suspected, that communications have never stopped even though adam no longer worked for the company, and if I remenber when he was fired graciela gonzalez was the only person to advocated and try to gather signatures so that no be fired up to compose a letter speaking highly of him, being she was one of the people who most abuse.

adam levy is not a good manager, because he have a relationship whith the general manager from the store #829 graciela gonzalez, for 4 or 5 months allready that is not profetional workers also when the manager fron 829 is married, she have a husband and 2 little kids a home, tha means that she is a cheater.
also adam and graciela the managers work together to dismiss a worker for a name Berlin. in agost or september 2010
now adam levy works for little caesars pizza, and he send some private information from del taco corp. to graciela gonzalez abouth 3 weeks to pass the shift leader test, the new shift leaders are jose ramirez and vivian, graciela recive a fax page whith the answers for the test from little caesars fax machine, which means the they cheated in the test because the manager from 829 give the answers before the test, also she only woks from 9:00 AM to 3:00 or 3:30PM when is suposed to work 8 or 9 hours a day and not meet.
I was weorking graveyard for over a year and a disgruntled partener got fired and dragged me down with him spreading rumors... I know how upper management can be... I have a friend that was a shift leader and found a few subpar things and said that they need to be corrected. A few weeks later nothing happened and she threatened to call the labor board over some of the wrongdoings. She was demoted on the spot and she will probably lose her job soon... How wrong is that?
I worked for Adam Levy for over 10 years, and he was the best boss that I ever had, he was nice, and always fair. He always wanted what was best for Del Taco, and I never saw him treat anyone bad. I heard a lot of rumors about the Del Taco in 29 Palms where this person named Tena worked, and they were all bad. Whatever happened there, I can tell you that it wasnt Adam's fault, this person was probably just upset because she thought she was better than she really was.
this was less than half of the real truth as to what happened that day, the person that posted this is Tena Simmering, and she was a terrible employee along with her General Manager whose name is Danny Bass, they were both well below average workers, and did not care about the company, keeping the store clean, and customers, they would constantly cheat, and cut corners on many job related items such as the drive thru timer, food inventory, and things like that, they were both more concerned about smoking weed and getting drunk both on and off of the clock than serving customers, the above paragraph does not even paint half of the real picture of what really happened
