I sent my 1986 jordan rookie psa 9 to Dave thorn of small traditions on August 22nd 2014.

After the card sold for a meager $2246, I tried attempting Dave 3 weeks after the auction ended a she became very nasty and hostile over paying me. He started a fight with me after I gave him $38, 000 dollars worth of business. In January and took forever to pay me. He sent me a 17, 000 check snail mail and was very hard to deal with. I wouldn't recommend this site to My sworn enemy.

Dave thorn is a liar and a thief. Avoid him he is a terrible human being who talks down to people

Here is the timeline of events

Aug. 31st auction ended
Sept. 7th- 8th called Dave's personal cell Bc that's the only number I have Bc he called me from it all the time. Called one time, did not leave a message.

Sept15th called second time no answer
Sept 16th called third time no answer and again no callback/response from Dave
Sept 17th called fourth time, it had almost been 14 business days.

Does that sound like harrasment?

In reality Dave turned out to be a snake and a liar. The auction amount is in question, I'm not lying about the price of $2246 but when I logged into the account at 1am on aug 31st that's what I saw.

Nevertheless Dave thorn try's to call me a liar because I'm wrong in the price of the auction even though I believe he went in and changed the price amount after he decided to rip me off on sept. 17th

Also he implies that I'm making up these accusations to attempt to collect money he owes me. I stand by everything I have said, steals customers on eBay and tells clients to have friends and family to bud the auction up. It's not really shill bidding but it's still cheating and that's what Dave is all about.

Instead of rectify the situation knowing other potential clients will read this and never want to worki with him because of obvious trust issues he chooses to make crazy statements up like I harassed and acted aggresively but he was clearly ducking my calls and not responding.

Your a thief and a liar and I'm sorry but I hate snakes and liars with a passion!

Rot in hell

1st off I swear on my life that Dave Thorn has been aggressively calling me for the last six months to sell items on his auction site. After not leaving any positive feedback and not working with him for the last several months I attempted to give his auction site one last time.

Auction ended on August 31st

My first call was on sept 7th Dave was just getting back from a weekend in New York to see Derek Jeter's last honestand. I know this because Dave used it as an excuse to not know anything about payment and had a very bad attitude. He loves to make excuses

2nd call on sept15th... No answer /no response
3rd cal on sept 16th no answer/no response
4th call on sept 17th no answer / reponse
Than I emailed him and called office and asked why was he ducking me, it was almost 14 business days at this point. I than informed Dave I would be leaving feedback about everything that took place from this sale. Ie: not answering phone calls/ emails
Leaving me in the dark and than responding in a manner in which he was clearly ducking my calls and than said he was busy putting together his half million dollar auction.
That's when he blackmailed me and said he wouldn't pay me unless I signed a document and that was sept17th.

I than wrote these complaints on or about sept 18th or after and Dave wrote in an in email he refuses to pay me unless I do what he says... That's blackmail

He's a liar saying I asked him to sell my jordan rookie psa 9. He begged me to sell it

Cold contacted me on eBay after seeing me selling a card worth $6500. Begged me to come to his site to sell my cards and save 15% in eBay fees.

Told me to have friends and family start real accounts and bid up the cards. I did not make that up to attempt to collect money you owe me. That is a tru statement and I will take a lie detecter test.

He is a scammer and a liar. Instead of fixing the problem he comes on here and other sites and responds with more lies and tries to make me out to be the bad guy.

Blackmailer
Client thief
Liar

Ripoff. Artist Dave thorn and yes I do hate liars and thieves you people make me sick

This entire complaint is a total fabrication intended to destroy the reputation of Small Traditions LLC. The complainer states here that he called us b/w Sept 16-18, and yet here is a link to a similar complaint he made at complaints.com on the 19th: http://www.complaints.com/2014-09-19/online-scams/small-traditions-llc/denver-co-80218-us/ripped-off-for-2246-by-small-traditions-llc-owner-dave-thorn/1001411156497217261.html. In that complaint, this person himself documents how he had been harassing us for weeks before the time period in which he called us. We have phone records and email records of all his calls and emails to us. In short, after successfully selling $38, 000 worth of material for this person in one of our monthly auctions several months ago--breaking several sales records for him along the way--HE contacted us and asked us to list his Michael Jordan rookie card in our current auction, which had already started. Here is a link to that ended item: http://smalltraditions.com/lotdetail.aspx?inventoryid=15301. As anyone can see, the auction ended on 8/31 at a final price of $2, 227. This final price includes the final bid of $1, 900 plus the buyers premium that our buyers pay on top of their bids (our share of the sale). After selling $38, 000 of material with us just months earlier, the complainer here lies right off that bat when he says that we robbed him of $2, 246. He knows the breakdown of our sells very well, yet he posts this anyways. MOST IMPORTANTLY, as anyone can see from the history of his complaints, the timeline of his harassment is clear. The week following the sale of the card on 8/31 he calls my personal cell phone to ask for his payment, yet the auction had literally just ended and we had not even BEGUN to collect payments yet. I tell him in this first call that I will send him his consignment settlement check as soon as his item is paid for. For the record, our payment process is clearly posted on our website, which states that we aim to make consignment settlement payments within "as little as 2-4 weeks after our auctions." So, the next week, now just the second week after the auction, I receive about a half dozen calls from this complainer again on my personal cell phone, all with no messages. Tuesday of that week (now just 7 business days after the auction), he leaves a message aggressively demanding his payment (and for the full sale price, not just his share, but our share, too), and he makes multiple, curse-laden, offensive statements about us "ducking" him. The following week, when I began writing consignment settlement checks for other consignors from the auction in question, I receive all these emails from the complainer stating that he has contacted the BBB, complaints.com, etc., and filed multiple complaints that we robbed him. He also covered our Facebook page with our 11, 800 followers with similar libelous lies, and he did the same at Yelp and multiple other online resources. The problem was, however, that the complainers story just didn't make sense. We didn't rob him. We still hadn't even been paid for his item yet at that point. So, in order to force us to pay him, the complainer fills his complaints with the most damaging lies he can possibly imagine. He accuses us of all sorts of crimes and immoral and unethical acts, he curses at us and sends dozens of insulting and similarly provocative emails, some of which I will attach to this response. He continues to lie, and he will not even acknowledge the clear timeline of the events described here and documented by his very own complaints. In response to his lies and his baseless accusations, I responded by saying that, once paid, we would be forced to use his proceeds to seek legal counsel on how to defend ourselves from these vicious attacks. We were paid two weeks ago for his card, and this argument has been in limbo ever since. We would of course like to end this situation immediately, and we've asked the complainer to remove the libelous statements from his reviews about us, and then we would gladly pay him. Instead of working with us, however, he views this as blackmail, and he tells me that he will not stop until he ruins us. Here I've taken another hour to respond to another complaint from this person, but let's all get a taste for his lies and deception. Here is his email to me on Friday of last week in which he acknowledges one of my other responses to his lies and false accusations on another site. This is, mind you, right after he had posted about the emotional distress caused by all this, he sends this provocative email:

You deny calling me the very first week following the auction asking about payment? You deny then calling me multiple times the second week following the auction and not leaving any messages on my cell phone? You deny then leaving a message on business day 7 after the auction in which you accused me of "ducking" you? You deny making these complaints online the third week following the auction? You now deny this entire freaking timeline? DUUUUUDE?!?!?!

You say I victimize and taunt you? Look at the email YOU just sent me!?!?! You know that you are making statements about shill bidding strictly to damage my business. You know it. The only remote conversation we ever had about that subject was in regards to how rampant it was on EBAY, AND YOU KNOW THAT! This was the subject of our very first conversation, AND YOU KNOW IT. Why would I ever tell someone I don't know and to whom I was speaking for the first time to commit crimes on my website!?!?!?! That's ludicrous! You know you are saying these things strictly because it was the subject of our first and only conversation, and you now want to damage me. As you've said in multiple past attacks, you hate me, and you wish I was dead, etc. YOU KNOW IT. What kind of animal are you?

If you would merely state in a comment to your reviews online that you admit that you did not fully understand our procedures and that you will not make any FURTHER attacks or complaints against us if we complete the transaction, I will gladly PayPal you right now. It's your call.

Sincerely,

Dave Thorn
