If you plan on having a wedding, please make sure that you don't host the reception at the Crowne Plaza located in Los Angeles Harbor, San Pedro on Palos Verdes Street. Not only will they not take care of you, which is what happened at my niece's wedding on March 20, 2011 when power went out and we had a major leak inside the reception room, soaking so many of our guests, but they will deny that they did anything wrong.
When this nightmare happened, there was no staff on site (so it seemed), to address our guests and to assure us that everything would be taken care of.
When our guests were soaked, they didn't even offer any towels. They were so insulting, offering our guests an open bar which was to start at midnight to 1:00am, on a Sunday evening...how ridiculous is that?
No coffee was served until past 10pm and after being asked twice.
Everyone was rude, to include their general manager, Mr. David Lai, who doesn't have a clue with how to run a hotel and to ensure a wedding goes smoothly.
They ruined my niece's wedding and are claiming they did everything they could, refusing to provide a full refund.
From ruined pictures, a late start and a lack of staff to take care of our guests, this Crowne Plaza should be passed up at all costs to you.
Management is incompetent.
