Cricket Wireless rip_off

I have a defect phone- i just bought 2 months ago. I pay $5 a month handset protection. The company web-site list my specific phone as having defects and to bring it to the store to be fixed. I brought it to two different stores. None of them knew about the problem listed on their own website- http://www.mycricket.com/cricketsupport/faqs/details?id=664&fromsearch=0 THEN have the nerve to tell me I have to pay $35 to have it fixed? WTF

i think cricket wirelesss has a long way to go in order to copete with the big boys such as t- mobile verison att and sprint . I think their master agent prograhm is a joke that will soon bring them to thier knees .The agents rip off thier dealers by giving thier dealers sh-tty payouts witch will inturn trickle down to the customers so dealers can make up money they should already br getting insted they cram stores so close to one another that the dealers feel no loyalty from cricket communications wich drives them to scam thier own system by giving credits for a price to keep thier customers from going to the other stores in thier areas they promote esn tumbling and add a line and deactivate scams so thier customers can get over on cricket to keep money rolling through thier doors but inturn that will only hurt cricket and if you are an owner of a store like me iof crcicket goes down so does my store but i get why they do it becuase typicly they are trying to make up for getting screwed over by a master agent but thats no exscuse for cricket turning a blind eye to the fact that they let some one else take the blame for bad marketing and letting a middle man make dealers compete at an unfair rate wich hurts thier customer service and price ing wich directly reflects cricket communications chance at making a dominate move in the cellphone war if they dont take this serious and take care of thier loyal sister stores and elemanating the mater agents that are being scandless and scandless dealers i want cricket to thrive because i have cricket on my building and i hope to be part of a successfull corperation and help lead them victory in this cellphone war .I know they lost a of customers last year its not because cricket gives bad service its because in my openion that there is to much room for fraudgelent behavior because they are leaving thier dealers to the wolves of the industry crooked master agents and greedy dealers who have no loyalty to the corporation they should find good daelers rate them on am individual basis cut out the middle man go from the warehouse to the street with good products for a cheep price give your dealers a great price so that they can pass it on to the customers wich intern will come back ten fold its a no brianer if you have one lol but if you make the dealer suffer then the customer suffers wich intern cricket communacations suffers you cant build a pyramid upside down .Ive owned other businesses before and they did great my job as a hustler is to get between my customer and the big guy and bring my customer the bset deal they can get and i also would find dealers that could move product and front them inventory so they did not have to put out of pocket so they were helthy wich helped them make financial moves to improve thier locations wich intern they gave back to thier customers wich intern they gave back to my dealers wich intern stayed loyai like thier customers and they all gave back to me its a beautiful thing come guys get it together you could run this market lets do it put your nikes on get er done you have .i have a saying sometimes you get it sometimes you got it sometime you gotta get it and sometimes you get got .get it got it good .pyramid ...go cricket some where in southern california

On 2/3/10 I went to the corporate store of cricket located on 1616 n Mannhiem Rd in Illinois to get a loaner for my defective cell phone. My phone screen has been freezing and pad doesnt work at time. I had the phone for over a year and plus I paid insurance on my cell phone for over a year.

The young lady customer rep and she was very nice stated to me that they don't do loaner's and if i wanted to have my phone repaired I will have to pay $35 up front just in case the cricket repair technician finds out that the defective cell was not damaged by me. If they discover that the defective damage was not causd by me, they would credit the $35 onto my cricket account.

So I laughed and looked around to see if there are TV cameras on me because at that moment I felt like I was being PUNK"D.

The customer service rep openened the back of my phone up and stated. See that green mark there inside the back of my cell phone indicates water damage and erosion. And she stated, she's not accusing me of dropping my phone in water but we just want to be sure.

I'm thinken to myself on professional level All in ALL! she's telling me the cricket corporation says I'm lying.

WOW!

I asked the customer service rep, what is the purpose of me paying insurance on the cell phone I purchased from cricket. She stated to protect your cell phone if it's get lost or damaged, but the cricket corporation still requires a $35 upfront fee. She states it's like paying for car insurance and your paying a dedcutible.

I told her I pay full coverage on my car insurance and I don't have to pay an deductible.
And she was speechless and she apologizes and gave me her business card.

I stated to the customer serice very nicely. In reality paying insurance on my cricket cell phone serves no purpose in the cricket corporation. The money paid for insurance is just a financial loss I will have to take. She shruggs and apologizes.
I said thank you and told her it wasnt her hfault and she is just following Cricket Corporation policy
and procedures.

I walk out feeling very insecure about being a customer with the Cricketwireless Corporation.

In this case the Cricketwireless Corporation should discontinue the insurance they offer their customers because it serves no purpose.

We that there is a constant climate change in the enviromental. The air or climate changes caues defects in the cells but no one is stepping up to the Cricket Corporation.

Majority of people these day cary their phone with them 24/7. Has anyone ever stop to think why water builds up in cell phones.

IT CALLED CLIMATE CHANGE PEOPLE!
Why do hard working tax pay people like us have to suffer for the benefit of the cell phone corporations like CricketWireless take advantage of their customers with theirr useles insurance policy.

Jobs are hard to find and times are hard. The amount of money I paid for insurance on my cricketwireless cell phone could have been donated to some who really needs it.

HERE"s TO YOU CRICKET CORPORATION!

Sounds like the defect on your phones is considered a Warranty Issue that is why you were charged the 35.00 which I think is refundable. Now as far as Insurance that takes care of things such as Water Damage, Lost, Stolen, you drop it and the screen cracks etc. There is a deductible on that too. Depending on the model of your phone, it can be 35.00, 50.00, or 85.00 and there is 2 replacements a year and you need to call in the claim before you take it in. I took a look at the link you gave in your complaint and this is what it reads:

Phones, Accessories and Warranty
Motorola VE240
What is the problem with the Motorola VE240 phone?
A small number of Motorola VE240s are freezing at the Motorola logo and/or a blue screen is displayed during several scenarios. This is currently either a recoverable or an easily avoidable event.
If this problem has occurred on your Motorola VE240, you should bring the Motorola VE240 phone to any Cricket company store for the phone to be re-flashed.
Cricket's company stores are listed at http://account.mycricket.com/cricketlocations/. Please enter your address or zip code and look for the green "Cricket Corporate-Owned Stores."

Not ALL CricKet Stores are a FULL SETRVICE STORE (Corporate CricKet) That is why it is very important to look up which stores are full service Corporate CricKet Stores at www.mycricket.com
I do apologize that this was not explained to you upon the purchases of your phones. Unfortunately for the customers and the company there ends up being a lot issues that could be avoided if all the stores would take the extra steps in explaining this things to their customers before they leave the store.

Cricket Wireless awful customer service

I decided to purchase a brand new Motorola phone from Cricket to start using them as as my wireless service. I wanted to make sure that I had a good phone since I wouldn't have a land line anymore. I was told that this Motorala model was very good. My son has the same phone and never had trouble with his. I also received a free month service for purchasing the phone and using Cricket. I received my new phone in the mail 3 weeks ago.

From day one, the phone did not work. It takes forever to get anybody on the phone from Cricket and I called on a Saturday afternoon to find out where the nearest Cricket store was. It is one hour away from the town that I live in. I went to the store and the young man reprogrammed my phone. Didn't bother to check if it was working at that time and sent me on my way. After I got home and charged my phone for 8 hours as I was told to do, the phone still wasn't working.

Last Thursday, I called Cricket again and spent almost an hour waiting for somebody to answer my call. I was told that a new phone would be in the mail and I would receive it in 3 to 4 business days. I had to have somebody home to sign for the phone.

A week later, I still hadn't received my new phone. I called and again waited for almost an hour to have somebody answer my call. Now I was told by a young man that no, a new phone was never sent to me, that I had to go back to the store that was over an hour from where I lived and they would give me a new phone. I asked him about my free month of service. I told him I have not had a working phone now for 3 weeks, am I going to get my free month of service back? He said no. I asked to talk to a supervisor, was put on hold again and then disconnected. I called back and got ANOTHER young lady. She informed me that no, I wouldn't have received a phone in the mail, and no, I could not go to a store to get a new phone. I had to send back my old phone, wait for about 30 days, then I would receive my refund and at that time I could purchase another phone. I didn't have my box anymore to send the phone back, so again, I had to go over an hour away to the Cricket store to pick up a box to send the phone back in.

All in all, I lost time driving back and forth, time on the phone while I was at work, money for gas, waiting on a phone for 30 days and/or my refund. So I was out of my money and out of my phone, but none of this was my fault. Had I any idea, ANY idea what terrible customer service and representative knowledge would be, and what I had to go through to get a workable phone, I would have never gone with Cricket. I, too, will file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I can't believe that this kind of customer treatment is allowed.

Well, Let me say, I completly agree, customer service is TERRIBLE, I've had to deal with cricket on 3 occasions and not once was ANYTHING resolved...not to mention the "customer service" reps were flat rude...NO sence of compassion or even a care about the customer...once you become a customer that ONLY advantage you can see is the price...and as far as the service being 3G and "good" goes, COMPLETLY wrong...sadly I am still a customer... and I'll tell you, the phone service is choppy, internet SUX (wont even play a lousy youtube video without pausing 3-4 times during...pitiful..but they hook you with the cheap price...and I "in my opinion" think this is why they're rude...they cater to the people who do not have an endless budget for service like them... and treat them however they want to (which from what I've seen is NEVER good).. BOTTOM LINE----->If you go Cricket, be cautious, you will most likely regret it.

I am not trying to let Criket off the hook here but I honestly believe that your first mistake was getting a motorola phone. They are not good phones to begin with. I had two motorola phones and both had to be returned. On one occasion, I had argued up and down with the sales person at one cell phone store about selling me a phone that was used because the reception was soo bad. Well fast forward to a year later when I ordered another Motorola phone directly from Team Mobile and guess what? I had the same problems, phone calls dropping, background noise, shotty reception. I am not minimizing your troubles with Criket but I just feel as though maybe part of the problem could have been with the brand of phone you purchased. Maybe. I actually hear that Criket phone service is not to shabby and I am thinking of trying it myself.

Oh and for the record, Contrary to the opinion stated above. I always suggest purchasing directly from the Company itself. Its alot safer because you know who you are dealing with, Secondly, You have a better chance of getting them to honor their refund/sales policies. and finally if anything goes wrong you know who to go after.

Sorry about the cricket customer service for cricket man I do admit it is terrible.

I happen to work at a cricket authorized dealer (that is a store who sells cricket phones but not affiliated with Cricket) and we strive to help our customers best we can with their phones, that is why I recommend my customers to just get a phone at the store instead ordering online, this type of hassle can and does happen from time to time.

As for the cricket network it is surprisingly good, the 3G network is very fast and reliable. I'm very sorry that your experience had to be a bad one.

I don't per say care much for the Cricket company itself nor endorse it over any other, I just hate to hear all the hassle that people go through when they order online and wish I could have helped them with person to person service.

Cricket Wireless awful company

I have been hit with reactivation fees before by surprise because payment was not received after they automatically turn off our service unnoticed. Cricket has the nasty habit of turning off customers phone without immediate notice, then charging a 15.00 fee a month later for turning it back on, when the customer is unaware that there service was suspended in the first place.

Me and my spouse have had this problem with Cricket and we are SICK of it! Cricket also assesses other fees for paying at a store or kiosks (3.00 convenience fee + 3.00 service fee). These fees are fraudulent to customers since they are well hidden and charged when most vulnerable to subscribers.

Speaking of that customer service is HORRIBLE as well.

My complaint is not towards sales services. Is a personal issue the Child support Enforcement issue a garnish letter for a Tucson AZ Cricket employee & they haven't done any of the following to deduct from this Father check Arturo Durazo if this won't progress I won't have no other choice but go through courts again & this time with cricket on it for not complying Az state order by the court. By the way I love my service.

$ 15 reconnect fee sounds very good compared to what they charged me, $ 28.59 to reconnect my wireless Internet!
Several calls to customer service gave no answers or solution of any kind. All I got back from customer service was insults to my intelligence and added aggravation.
Long story short, and my advice to all of you people out there:
Stay the hell away from anything that says 'cricket' on it!

Well I contacted cricket customer service at *611 in feb. 09 to confirm a payment on my account and was told to pay a specific amount. I did just that to be disconnected. Well then when it happened I then contacted *611 again and explained what I was told. They then told me that I had to pay another amount. I then stated that I did not have that amount due...

Cricket Wireless unreliable coverage maps

Don't use a company that can't stand behind their product by refunding customers that want to try them out!
Their coverage map showed our home in the middle of an excellent reception zone. That's what I used as my criterion for trying them. In reality we have zero bars. I had a hard time finding anyone who could talk about refunding any money. The store referred to Cricket themselves while Cricket referred me back to the store. Eventually I found someone on the phone who took the complaint but I didn't hear anything from them. When I called back, they told me it was denied.
BTW, I already received a new bill although I deactivated my service a mere 20' after activating it! I wish they were that fast with service.

Cricket Wireless the run around and poor service

I am tired of being on phone trying to get my money. They shut you off if you dont pay on time, But I can sit here and wait for the money owed to me. That is not rite. Everytime I called I got the run around. First it was I had to wait 45 days of uninterupted service. Done that no check. Called again now they were proccessing it. Later still no check. Called again, now they say I need to wait 10-12 weeks... I have never heard of waiting that long for anything. Now my bill is due again...Should I pay it or tell them where to put their service! It isnt all that anyways. I loose connection after a while on it. Lost connection for some time and sat on hold for over an hour. When they finnaly answered they said they are out nationwide. Well am I gonna get credited for that time...I dont think so. I just called again looking for my check and they still tell me I have to wait 10-12 weeks. Why dont they tell you this stuff when you buy it. I dont think its rite. I am now calling my local new Call 4 action to look into this. DONT BUY CRICKET.

Cricket has run a scam every month for many years. The dealers are powerless to change anything, the company stores are equally useless. The Cricket phone scam runs unabated to this day.
The company stores have armed security guards inside. Why? Because of the cash they take in? No, absolutely not. The guards are in the stores because enraged customers have created a threatening climate in the stores. The Cricket scam is bilking millions of dollars from trusting customers every year, the company generates so many angry people the armed security is needed to protect the employees and more importantly, Cricket property in those stores. The company is a criminal organization, pure and simple.
The thief in charge is Stewart (Stewie) Douglas (Duggie) Hutcheson; he owns a nice home at 855 San Antonio Place in San Diego, CA Zip code [protected]. He needs to hear from more of his victims. The company phone is useless, the 611 Cricket phone-bot is also a series of dead end loops. They have made the last scam on us. We are dedicating the rest of our lives to crush Cricket and prosecute its leaders. Fraud, lies, theft and delay are the company's everyday practices.

Cricket Wireless rebate never came

I purchased this wireless phone and modem at the same time some 6 to 7 months ago. Paid a total of $300.61 the phone was 129.99 and the modem was 149.00 21.62 sales tax I sent in the reciept and form to get my rebate of 50.00 dollars that was promised at time of purchase now keep in mind I have been waiting 5 months after repeated phone calls and mostly driving down to franchise office I was told a I had to call a number the people there told me I was calling the wrong people and that they were the main phone office for criket and I had to call the manufacturer of the modem but they did not have there number and suggested I call the main office at charleston and bruce. So I go there and they tell me a number to call again its the wrong number I give up they are a scam but I would still like to get my money back i'm thinking of filing a complaint with the federal trades commission what do you suggest ? Thanks for your time bob bellah [protected]

I mailed in everything within a week of purchase, which was in April 2010 and now its almost October 2010 and When i check the status of my rebate it shows that since April my rebate was approved but it is on required waiting period... which is so stupid. Cricket is just a scam so anyone out there who is planning to go to cricket for any services i suggest you go somewhere else where you dont have to be lied into buying something and promised something and then you end up not recieving nothing... SO CRICKET WIRELESS IS A BIG NO NO NO NO... DONT WASTE UR MONEY ON SCAMMERS EVEN IF THE OFFERS ARE TEMPTING...

Seen their comercials on tv was the main reason i purchased wireless broad band internet - purchased on 07/16/2010 & checked the out lined area with the dealer when i bought it --plugged it in & spent over a day checking my computer cause i couldnt get on line after downloaded the software -finally got a hold of one of their service techs & after bout 20min we figured out i was in a roaming area & signal strength was not good enough so before canceling service told them i'd try it at work - so the following week when i returned to work, plugged it in & it did work in that area but only got 1 & 1/2 bars & was downloading bout 270 kbs of speed which for 40 bucks a month is not really worth it - so called cricket to cancal my service got the run around for three or more days like (our accounts dept is down for upgradeing their network or was transfered a number of times to stupid cricket reps that didn't know what the hell they were doing or simply just got disconnected) finally after talking to a number of idiots i finally got through to accounts & told them all the garbage i went through i finally got my service canceled bout two weeks before the next months billing. now i have to make sure they don't bill me for another month of service & stick it on my credit card ---still working on seeing if i can bring the modem back to the place i bought it from ---but to anyone who reads this --cricket some what works just make sure bout the area your in & if you have any problems with your service & need to talk to one of their reps lots of luck finding one that knows what the hell their doing over there---signed(cricket sucks in parts of wisconsin)

i sent in my reabte for the broadband modem, and 1month later i got a letter saying i was denied because my activation was not in the required timeframe

So i called customer service and they said that they gave me the wrong form and to call back when 45 days after activation had passed

idk if its a scam, but so far it isnt looking good

i mean, do i really believe that the Person at the cricket store gave me the wrong form?

No, eveytime i try to get a rebate, or to get something from a "special offer" its always a giant hassle

The only reason they do mail in rebates is because they hope people will just give up

I did a warranty exchange on my cricket phone that malfunctioned in April after having the phone for a year. I went in to a Corporate store on 87th street here in Chicago, because I had been contacting customer service since my new phone had been activated. I told the manager that the phone screen went out and I couldn't receive text messages or see who's calling. The store manager tells me in order to get another phone I'll have to pay another $45 fee. If it's found out not to be my doings that caused the phone to malfunction the money will be credited to my account. I refuse to pay the money, because I had just paid for the new phone in April. I asked for a number to contact a main office or someone over the corporate store and the manager tells me there is no one he is it. On top of that he was very rude and unprofessional. The customer service representatives are just as incompetent as the store team. I know Cricket workers has to have a way of making contact will a main office in order to resolve issues they have in store; as well as with their pay checks if an issue were to occur. So why is it impossible for a customer to reach a main office representative to place a complaint or even to receive assistance? I can't believe that Cricket has such bad business ethics and they have the nerve to advertise that they are a company that RESPECTS their customers. I will be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

SWEAR! This broadband modem is a joke for sure. We have yet to stream a movie, takes over 1 1/2 hours to download 1album, just NOT what the cricket sales rep said it would be (at least he spoke english). Calling customer service, another JOKE, what country are we getting anway. I have waited just like others here, up to an hour to get hung up on when I ask if there is anything I can do to make the connection faster. I'm sure cricket training for call center employees includes a practice session where the agent "assures" the caller that the call will only be placed on hold momenarily or transferred quickly. I will too be filing a complaint, with the Attorney General's Office.

Cricket Wireless rebate

This company promises rebates for over priced products, then hires a third party to handle the rebates, and I think they get all the money that they rip off unjustly from cricket customers. I had a $50 mail in rebate for a broadband modem. I followed the extensive instructions (cut and paste etc., etc.) I sent it off to El Paso Texas with two more weeks on the rebate, only to recieve a letter that stated I activated outside of the valid dates for the offer! SCAM! When I tried to call the number to the cricket rebate office [protected], all I found was a maze of recordings, never leading to anyone live to discuss the scam with. This company takes atvantage of the poor and working class. In these times, that is just a shame. Steer clear of Cricket. They lie and decieve!

Cricket Wireless customer service and payment

I have a complaint about the cell phone company, Cricket. This is a list of many complaints and issues I have had.

When my first payment was due on my service I tried to pay online but I could not. I contacted the company who said they would put a $3 waver on my account so I may pay in a Cricket store. The stores charge a $3 processing fee. I entered the store and went to pay bill however, they tried to charge the $3 dollar charge anyways. The man I talked to told me that there was no waver on my account and told me that it was my responsibility to figure out the problem not his. I asked him if he could call anyone to figure out what happened and he refused to do so and told me he would not waist 3 hours talking to a representative of Cricket to help me out. I raised my voice, about how I was unsatisfied with this out come and he proceeded to call the company. As I was waiting I spoke to an Asian male who I was curious about his nationality, because he looks like many of my family members.  He told me he was Korean and I told him I was as well and told him my sister was from Korea. He said, " I love Asian women, especially the YOUNG ONES." That made me uncomfortable.  The Korean male went back to play video games on his laptop, which was making lots of sound and I could not hear the other salesman over the gun fire. The man then told me that there was a $3 waver but I would not receive it till a few days after the transaction was rung out. I was a bit weary but I proceeded to ring the transaction out despite that. I was interputed by the Asian male who asked for the other associate to come over and check out this girl on his laptop who had big breasts and was wearing a glow in the dark bikini and how he would like to do something to her in a rave bar. There was a $3 waver fee but the customer service was less then satisfactory with the Cricket store located on 52nd St in Kenosha, WI..

My next issue comes with an insurance plan I payed for my phone. I was accepted for the replacement and was told that there would be no charge on the replacement, over the phone. I walked into a different Cricket store located on 22nd ave in Kenosha, WI. Where I listened to two associates argue about how one or the other passed gas and how it smelt like, faseis. The asked me if I could smell it and I told them I did. I told them I would like to pick up my replacement phone. He asked me for my number and began to fill out the paper work. He did so however, when he finished with my phone he told me that there was an $80 deductible along with a $5 proccessing fee. I argueed because I was told that I would not be charged. The worker said, "Not my problem bro." I asked to speak to the Cricket representive on the phone, which they began to tell me that it wouldn't do anything because everyone knows theres a $80 deductiable and no one would tell me it would cost me nothing. I spoke to the rep. and was told that there was nothing they could do because they were billing and I was given several numbers and was trasfered many times. Each time being refused to be helped. I finally gave up and told them I would pick it up another time. They said I had to pay for it because he rung it out already and it was under my name. I did not have money at the time and told them that. The worker called the Cricket Company and they could not reverse the trasaction. They said just come back when I had the money because they could not sell it to anyone. I said that was fine. He told me he would have the phone behind the counter for me and that when I wanted to pick it up it would be here.As I was talking to the worker another worker was talking to a customer on the phone and asked what her last name was. He said he just wanted to know if he knew her. And said goodbye. He then looked back at me and another customer and said, " Doesn't matter, she sounded ugly anyways." I was taken back at this but took it astride.

I came back a few weeks later to pick up my phone, and was told that he could not find a phone and that the person I talked to was not in and that he was a Representive for the Company. I kept asking for him to look for it but he just moved a few papers and said nope cant find it. I asked for him to look in the back and he did but came back after not even 15 seconds. He did not want to help me and told me to come back tommorow. I told him I could not because of my work schedule and asked if he could call the person up and asked if he was on call. He said he was and that he could not get his number at all. He said I could call the company and complain if i wanted but they wouldnt do anything. I called and they said they would give me a $3 credit on my account for the inconvience.

I came back the next day to pick up my phone and he activated my phone and began to ring out the transaction. He said that it would be $88. I asked what happened to the $85 I was told before. He told me it was $85 plus a $3 proccessing fee. I desided not to argue and just wanted to get my phone. I handed him my credit card and he told me it would be another $3 for using a credit card. I told him I was done getting screwed over and walked out. I called the Cricket company and told them I wanted to cancel my account and wanted the charges for the service to be cancelled. They said that they could not and that they had already cut my bill in half for not having a phone to use the service. I argueed and said that it is not fair that I would have to pay for a bill when I could not use the phone for a month. The rep. told me that she was sorry and she could do nothing but cancell my service. She then cancelled my service.

Also on there website they advertise a $70 online price drop on the phone I purchased online from them. On there basic page it shows the $70 drop but if you have an account and are logged in then you look on the website it shows a $20 drop. Which I got that they originally advertised on the website which I belived was the best deal.

Cricket Wireless Extra charge for bill on time

Cricket is charging the undersigned with a $3 charge for paying my phone bill on time. I pay my bill at the cricket store where I bought 2 phones.
They don't mail you a bill. They don't even provide you with an invoice upon paying cash at the store.
When I question this their answer was; " if you want an invoice, we will charge you .55 cnts for doing so".
So they just hand you a receipt.
On the other hand, I am charged $3 for paying my bill on time.

"this is nothing but a ripoff". I thought this company was better than the other wireless crooks!

So I will be filing my complaint with the texas utilities commission.

Yea...no ###!
They do the same thing here in Vegas. $3.00 for paying cash, what a rip-off! $35.00 a month sounds good, but it (actually) costs...$42.04 out the door.

If you think you were treated poorly over the phone let me assure you that the rudeness is heightened dramattically when you visit these jerks at one of their stores. The treatment I received from the csr and the manager was totally disrespectful. The csr actually laughed at me as if to say "We Gotcha now what you gonna do about it"I asked him if this was the manner he treated all his customers that had issues with their service and he just continued to smile. He could care less about my situation and made absolutely no effort to resolve the problem. After a few minutes of back and forth bantering with Mr Smiley the equally stupid and callous manager makes her appearance. She said " YOU AINT GONNA DISRESPEC MY PEOPLES SO YOU GONNA HAVE TO LEAVE NOW" I could'nt believe how these [censor]s escalated this situation to the point where the so called manager is telling me to leave or she is calling the police.I asked why and got the same response about " DISRESPEC".At this point just wanting to get my phone and my phone issue solved I put my tail between my legs, so to speak and apologized and asked (not yelled) if we could start over. She would'nt speak with me in the store but offered to go outside where there were "no cameras" and I assume audio devices recording the activity within the store.I agreed and went outside the front of the store where this no class, business woman imposter laid into me, telling me ""I got my nerve to threaten calling her boss so that she would lose her job"(the reality was I wanted to ep;;ain to her boss that my situation was not being handled by these rude &incompetent, so called employees).

I went online and tried to buy 2 phones but first...I had questions. The online agent, Gary, would not answer my questions, he just wanted to sell me phones! I did not buy them. I then called and was treated nice but not told the whole truth! The phones that they said would be $35.00 each were actually $59.99 each! When I activated one it gave me a phone number that was not even in the same state and I am! The second one said I needed to go to a store to activate it! That is a 30+ min drive!

I then called customer service and after waiting for over 20 min to talk to someone, the agent said he could change my phone number. He put me on hold and after waiting for 15 more min he hung up on me and did not change the number!

I called back and voiced my complaint and was treated like garbage! I said I did NOT want the phones or cricket service because if it was this bad in the first hr then I had no confidence that it would improve in the future and I don't need the stress. I asked several times to speak with a supervisor and the agent kept trying to talk my into keeping the service! When I refused and said I wanted to speak with a supervisor she hung up on me! I called again and the next agent was just a rude and told me to go on the Oprah show with my complaints and HUNG UP on me AGAIN!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Cricket Wireless Service, using wrong information

Bought phone 2 months ago. Paid nearly 200.00 bucks. Rep activated my phone under someone elses information. Rep at store said to call cricket, cricket said we had to drive to our nearest corporate store which by the way is 30 miles away to have the information corrected. We drove to the uvalde store and was told it was fixed. 1 hour later we called our house phone (My wife and I that is) caller id was still registering under someone elses name. So for the heck of it I tried to register my phone on the my acounts page on mycricket.com when we typed in our number and had password texted to cell, I logged in. Every peice of info is incorrect, not remotely close to correct. Sad thing is, I gave the rep my drivers lic. And everything is incorrect. My name is mark, but caller id say's i'm cody? My address digits are 501, cricket has 907? I prepaid 20.00 for flexbuckett, doesn't show. We were wanting to add my wife a phone to my account, but this put cricket into perspective. They have awful customer service. Guess cody... Sorry dude, but I have no intentions of paying your bill man!

The only reason i can think of for someone putting the wrong info on your account is they may have had other people buying a phone. when your account is set up and we put in the address and hit submit it will spit it out if that address doesnt exist. perhaps you were gave someone elses phone. the caller id issue happens alot. its because several people dont pay their bill and their number gets used again. in most cases that will clear up in 3 weeks. never go to a cricket store that deals with boost and t-mobil they are not authorized dealears.

Cricket Wireless No rebate check, like advertised

I have been trying to contact cricket to get my $50, 00 rebate check, the phone# thats on my invoice has been disconnected, I have found another phone# on the back of the invoice and called it, it's all recordings that does not help me in any way, so I called that number back and pushed 1 for new service, then I could finally talk to a person, and explained my situation, all they could do is give me a number that has been disconnected or the same number that is a recording that does not help me, I went to the cricket store, and that person could not help me at all, all she could do is give me the same number that I have already called, I asked the person at the cricket store if she could disconnect my service, and she can't even do that, people that were waiting in line told me to just leave the store, because they had to wait too long, as i'm getting ready to leave, she told me, just don't pay your bill, I see that i'm not the only person that's having problems with cricket,

Well I see that these were posted awhile ago but you wont be surprised to know that Cricket is still up to these antics. I just checked my rebate status on a broadband modem and they claim I bout it out of the deal range. Their website has current and past offers and it clearly states that i purchased my modem and sent off the rebate info well within the range. This complaint will be sent to the BBB. Such a rip off. Why would the associate even tell me about the rebate unsolicited and give me all the forms if it wasnt a valid offer? Because it was! Recently went in to pay my bill and once they have you as a customer, the service quality drop dramitically!

Cricket company are scam artist and liars.
I waited my 45 days after sending in my rebate and then waited 30 more days for them to send it.
After not receiving it I called and they said it was sent back, so I called my local post office and they stated they never received it.
I called cricket and they said they would resend it.
I have been waiting another 30 days and they have not sent anything.
That is 45 days plus 2 months and nothing.
I am not paying my bill because they owe me money, I will just go with another service provider.
Cricket company can go screw themselves.

TODAY I GOT A FORM FROM CRICKET THAT SAYS THAT MY CRICKET REBATE WAS DECLINED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON. mY CRICKET WAS ACTIVATED OUTSIDE OF THE VALID DATES FOR THIS OFFER. i AM REALLY DISGUSTED ABOUT THIS AND I WOULDNT ADVISE ANY ONE TO GO WITH CRICKET. I ordered the usb broadband. I got it and they charged me saletax on full amount of $180 when i only paid $50 for usb and $25 for activation. I should have paid sales tax on $75 (50+25) They told me they will not fix that. I should wait till I get the usb modem and then call. I called and they told me that they can not adjust that. I have to go to local corporate store. I will go there to see what they say. This Cricket Company really really sucks. All they want is your money. I had phone with them and disconnected that as well. Now even before I try their broadband i am facing problems. After reading NO REBATE CHECK from CRICKET from many people. I am not sure what to do. They give you first month free to try but activation is what you stuck with $25. Why no other company would do that. Cincinnati Bell will refund every penny you pay them if you bring the phone back and would not say anything if you used upto 30 minutes of time as well. The Cricket seems like a third world company. They need to do business outside of USA. Texas based companies are rude another example is Tiger Direct .com.

Please copy / Paste this all over the internet, numbers can be powerful persuaders ...

Somewhere along the road to Free Market Capitalism, Schmucks-In-Suits decided to insulate themselves from the public/consumers they rip off. The solution to that is simply print out & fax, snail mail MOUNTAINS of individual complaints directly to the offices of the parent company, as well as including the "copy correspondence" caveat @ the bottom of said page showing that YOUR Legislator is receiving the same notification. This will cause the Unholy Pair of them to sit up & take notice that The Barbarians Are indeed At The Gate ...

Cricket Wireless Didn't receive rebate as promised

I mailed in the required documents by the date necessary, Sept 29th to be precise, and have yet to receive the rebate check. I called the automated phone line and it stated that the check was mailed on Dec. 15, however I have yet to see it and the date is now Jan. 12. I know it would not take a month in the snail mail system. I didn't receive any help on the automated phone system as it hung up when it said the check was mailed out on Dec. 15. I'm hoping that I will have a better response with this.

Cricket Wireless Fraud

I bought & paid for 3 cell phones & 1 month service over the phone with cricket. When I recieved them they were refurbished phones which they didnt inform me (the packing slip did) but I said "oh well" then couldnt get them activated, so cricket said take them to the store where they also couldnt do it. I called back & discovered I needed tri band phones & they sent phones with a kansas city mo. Area code when I live in illinois. I was told they will never work to send them back at my shipping expense & I cant get the activation fees back when the gosh darn phones couldnt even be activated! Plus it will take 30-45 days to even get back what little money will be left. All I got out of a supervisor was "sorry but there is no complaint numbers or adresses. So I will be in touch with small claims the attorney general & thbetter business bureau! Stay away! Its misrepresentation & fraud! What a joke of a company!

Hello,
I will add my complaint here to Cricket's long list. If you are a Cricket client or even former client you should be aware of this.

I was a many-years Cricket Communications customer, who recently switched to Sprint/Boost several months ago. When paying my monthly bill with Cricket (as with Sprint/Boost), I paid month-to-month as my bill became due, always paying my bill online on Cricket's website using my Visa debit. This morning, April 21, 2011, I was alerted by my banking institution that there was a $99.00 charge to my bank account by Cricket. I have NEVER authorized an automatic bill pay from Cricket ... nor would I. I immediately called the payment company Vesta, who accepts payments on behalf of Cricket and many other cell phone companies, whose representative explained to me that when Cricket signed the contract with their company last month to begin accepting payments, that when Cricket transferred their client/former client information over to Vesta, that anyone who has ever paid their monthly bill with a credit or debit card now or in the past, was automatically defaulted to the "automatic bill pay" option. This "opting in" to automatic bill pay was done WITHOUT having their clients' knowledge, permission and without prior notification.

I double-checked my old account online and confirmed that the box for "automatic bill pay" is unchecked, as it should be. I have NEVER opted in to their automatic bill pay option, yet $99.00 in funds were automatically withdrawn out of my account this morning by Cricket Communications without my knowledge or permission.

When attempting to contact Cricket Communications several times this morning, the voice prompt keeps you on hold forever and nobody ever picked up any time that I called. I have subsequently filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Attorney General consumer complaints division, AND contacted my local news agencies. What they have done to their clients and former clients is not only unethical, but it is illegal. This company needs to be shut down.

Ive had cricket for over 4 years now. Never had much of a problem until recently. My husband is on my account and he bought a $400 phone from them. Within 2 months the phone stopped working all together. We had insurance so we took the phone to a cricket dealer where I had to file a claim and pay a deposit of 80 dollars. I paid the 80 dollars and the best the could do for us was give us this cheap ### rebuilt nokia. We had that phone for a month and now its crap too, it just scrolls through the menu and freezes and they want me to pay another 80 dollars to get another one...you have got to be kidding. Then this month I set up a pridge pay plan to pay part of my balance one week and pay the remaining balance I owed the fallowing week. Wheni apid the remaining balance of 86.56 I saw on my bank account they took $207 dollars from my bank account. Very pissed off at this point I called. I couldnt talk to a customer service rep because I was on a beridge pay plan, so then I tried going to a dealer, it was sunday so they are closed. Finally I had to drive all the way to my sister in laws to use her cricket phone just to talk to someone. This lady who hardly spoke english argues with me for about 30 minutes telling me I was in the wrong and if they refund me the extra money they stole from me they would interrupt my services. I was asking for a supervisor. she continually put me on hold and kept picking it back up instead of getting me a supervisor. Finally she got sick of hearing me scream in her ear an hour later she got me a supervisor named Allen. I explained the situation to him. He offered to get the refund of 120 dollars back into my account within 24-48 hours. So when I drove all the way back home I get a voice mail from Allen saying he forgot to get the account number, he didnt leave and extension or anything. So since I couldnt use my phone I again had to drive to my sister in laws to use her phone. When A rep answered I gave him Allens name and explained I was returning a call. He told me there was no Allen there and that If they do a refund it could take up to 14 days. So I again I had to argue for them to get me a supervisor again. I got ahold Of her and she put me on hold to look up the account. I sat on hold for 30 minutes and finally gave up. I had to just go through my bank and put a hold on my account for them to get my money back for me. Im taking my business to t-mobile.

The Cricket Cell phone service is the most unreliable service i have ever dealt with. The customer service is horriable, and I also went to get my phone activated and they told me I had to drive all the way out to lansing. I did just that, and they couldn't help me eather. They told me that they could not even activate the phones they got off the internet. I was like you have to be kidding me. So over two weeks i've called variouse places and got people who don't know their head from their butt, and can't answer any of my questions. Cricket is ghetto PLEASE Dont go with them. They also try to sell you crappy phones for tons of money. It is one big rip off. They don't know what customer service is as far as i'm concerned and they are not ready to even try to help!

Cricket Wireless No service

The worst serive I have ever experianced. Between dropped calls and the inability to get through to customer service has caused me to drop this company.
When I was finally able to get through to a person by using my new provider to call an "inside" line, that person tried to send me back to 1-800-Cricket. When you call that number you end up transfering through a maze of useless messages where filannly you are asked to leave a messeage that is suposed to be returned within 3 business days. Well three messages later, two weeks of waiting, still no returned calls.
Anyone considering using Cricket as their wireless provider should think about it.

I bought a Cricket phone 2/12 months ago. The day it arrived i went to activate the phone. It started downloading whatever it is that is needed to
active. And a message popped up that Id need a better signal to activate. I had 1 bar for a signal that immeadiatly turned into an X.
So i jumped in the car drove 6 blocks ang 4 bars...Activated the phone.
Of course on returning home...no signal.
I used my landline and called Cricket, I was told to reset the phone...I did. No signal.
I drove my 6 blocks and reactivated it.
I called back Cricket, told them it was no good...no signal. The wrote up a work order on it for me, I explained i wouldnt be at home i was going to Vegas to see my parents. I was informed it would take a week to send someone to check the tower for signal strenth. Not to worry...Just contact them when i got home and id either get a working phone or a refund.
I did, I was informed my service ticket had been upgraded to Level 2. I was told i needed to go to one of their qualified service centers to get my phone checked, So off i go to wait in line for 45 minutes just to be informed that they coould do nothing for me.

When i asked about a refund he told me i had used over 30 minutes and a refund wasnt possable. Of course i was never informed of this.
Returning home i called back Cricket. Of course im speaking to someone different...Go through to 10 minutes to explain all of this. I was told not to worry...I would be refunded for any lost service but i was stuck with the phone. I was mad. But i was talked into letting their tech people work on it over the next 5 weeks.
Finally i had had enough...Id been billed 2 times for a phone that doesnt work.
I must have called them 20 times to try to get some sort of credit and terminate the service. I was hung up on at least 10 times.
Was transfered to someone who could terminate the service 5 times only to recieve a message that all the representatives were busy...call back later.
At one point i was told i had a whopping $5 credit coming to me...until i was hung up on.

The phone ended up costing me over $250 and hours on the phone

Never never again...save yourself the headaches...good riddence

I get more than normal missed calls. The phone just won't ring and the person calling must leave a message. I won't how many people don't leave messages and find someone else to call. I am self employed and this is my only phone,

Cricket Wireless Poor service, misrepresentation and fraud

I bought a kyocera candid ii camera phone from cricket wireless. Last year (About 10 months ago). My phone plan includes unlimited text/pix messages. About 3 months ago I started not being able to send picture messages. I tried several times to get help calling customer service and just kept going from #2 prompt to #3 prompt back and forth until I finally gave up. When I went to the store to pay bill the guy at the store didn't want to help with it, said I could send my phone in for repair. The other day I sent a message on line to cricket about the problem my response was "in order to use cricketãâ® service, you must have a cricketãâ® phone due to software differences and internal locks placed on the phone from the manufacture to prevent use on another network. Also even with a flashed handset features such as picture messaging, roaming, web access and other features are not guaranteed to work. Additionally cricket uses cdma technology and phones that use gsm "sim card" technology will not work on our network. " I did by my phone from cricket and if they are going to change the technology how can they do that and not notify you. How can they charge you for it? As far as I am concerned they are stealing from me and should be arrested. Why can't these business be held accountable and charge with fraud and stealing?

Cricket is the worse company I have ever seen. Horrible customer service, Horrible coverage and the phones suck. last payment I tried to make over the phone that costs an extra $2 the automated service was not working then they wanted to charge me an extra $5 for using a live operator, I told them to go to hell. that's why I am no longer with them.

Dude as in Gigahertz~

Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND. Cricket SUCKS. You can get an unlimited nationwide service through walmart for 45 bucks. Thats unlimited EVERYTHING. No need for crickets crappy service.

You must not have a clue if you think cricket is worth your time or money. By the way cricket is nationwide either. In fact you are lucky if it works 10 miles from your home and if it does then you are required to add money to a flex bucket to cover the out of area fees. You couldn't pay me to use a cricket phone ever again. Oh' and by the way crickets is all they will be hearing soon when they are all out of business for poor to no service at all.

Cricket advertises you do not have a contract...yet when they change their price, you are an "existing" customer and are not "allowed" to have the deal they advertise extensively here in Texas ($30 for unlimited national talk and text)...for me, an existing customer it is $35 + taxes, of course!

They told me that I would have to disconnect for SIX months (even though I am month to month) to get that rate.

It sure sounds like they are acting like I have a contract...that is fraud!

OK, so i had gotten $133 christmas money form my grandparents and i am only 14 years old, so I whent to cricket to buy my ACTUAL real phone not a stupid pay as you go phone, so i got a MSGM8 cell phone for 80.00 dollars plus plan and activation, so I was using it and i was having fun, then one day it snowed and there was SO much snow so I was climbing a snow pile and jumped off, well as i jumped off the phone fell out of my pocket and landed on concreat, well i screech and look at it and there is only a little itty bitty dent and then i look at the screen and its bright white, and only had the phone for a day and a half, so i go to THREE cricket stores and they all tell me to go to the main Corprate cricket store to exchange it for a new one, and so i go there and they tell me i cant get a new phone cuz of the little dent and it doesnt look like its in "new condition" ok, so now what? There not gonna exchange a day and a half phone for a new one to a 14 year old girl who is balling her eyes out, how heartless? so now i dont know what to do? if you know how to walk me through on how to fix it, let me know!

After 5 years as a Cricket costumer I've decided to file to sue in small claims court. I signed on to a plan when I first got my Cricket phone and one of the benefits to the plan was that %5.00 was to go directly into my flex bucket for use outside the area. These ### did away with the old plan and installed me into a new plan without my permission or concent in anyway and have since been charging me the extra $5.00 per month in addition to my monthly bill. They took away a feature ( the $5.00 for flex bucket) and are now billing me for it. No phone call, no letter, no nothing, just slipped me off my plan and onto one of their new ones. I was grandfathered into the plan I had, Since when can a company do this legally? Did I wake up in communist China? How can a company do this and not expect people to not go after them? I'll be filing for my losses of $5.00 per month over tyhe last several months. I've tryed to peak to the service rep on the phone, (broken English from God knows from where) who said the old plan was not available anymore and the system wouldnt allow them to put me back on my original plan and they were unwilling to reimburse me or accomidate me with a price adjustment to balance out the difference between the old and new plan. Nothing he said. We arent willing and can't do anything for you, take the plan as it is or leave it. No, I'll sue you instead, get my money back you stole from me, tell everyone what a scam Cricket is and go get a plan with Verizon. So Cricket... put that in youe pipe and smoke it you ###.

I found this board/website because I also am a Cricket customer who is being robbed. I ordered online and paid $155.xx for the A600 Broadband device and first month of service plus $25 activation fee. I went with paperless billing (automatic debit from bank account) method. The device arrived in mail and when I tried to use it, it would not activate! I took it to a cricket store and they activated it and created an account for me and asked me if I wanted to go paperless, I said yes (to avoid the $1.25 extra fee) and less than three weeks later, I get a paper bill in the mail and a $1.25 charge for paper billing!
I will answer your question as to why they are not charged with fraud and theft...the U.S. government makes money off the corporations taxes. Since their is more incentive for the government to turn a blind eye on crooked operations, that is why Bernie Madoff was able to defraud billions for decades without arrest.
Hate seeing our America become so crooked, it breaks my heart deeply.

Cricket Wireless Problems with cricket wireless

I received an email from Cricket Communications advertising their new Cricket Wireless service.
I wanted to learn more, so I went to their website:
[url=http://www.mycricket.com/cricketdatacards/details/um100usbpromo/?CMP=EMC-20081023bbnewpr&attr=mainoffer]Cricket Data Cards USB Broadband Modem[/url].

First, I noticed that in the small print it states: "Works with Windows (2000 through Vista 32-bit) and Mac (Leopard)".
Since all of my (and my son's) 5 computers are Vista 64, I wanted to verify compatibility.
An exhaustive search of the web-page and their Home Page, revealed NO links to "Contact Us", "About Us", "Technical Support" or similar.

I DID find a link to "Support", but it ONLY has FAQ's (about their phone service).
There is NO link to "Customer Support".

I clicked on "Find a Store" and found several in my area. At 7:30PM on a Friday night in San Diego (second largest city in CA), I was not able to find a single store open.

I called the 800 number for sales and the recording stated the number for Customer Service was "1-800- CRICKET". Seeing no reason to hunt down the number using letters, I waited for "Sales" for help or to get the number.
The "Sales" person (David) first told me the stores close at 8:00PM (I called way before 8) then was unable to give me an answer about the Vista 64bit compatibility, unable to give me a number or email address for technical support or the number or email for customer service.
I told him I had a problem doing business with a company that can't provide email or phone technical support. He told me to "have a nice day" and hung up.

From the email I received, I found a link to email "Customer Support" and discovered that you can ONLY email "Customer Support" if you already have a Cricket phone number. This link is NOT on the web page.

Since Cricket is not the only provider of wireless services, please check out this total lack of Customer Support, Customer Service, Technical Support, stores with reasonable hours (NO 24/7 support? Isn't wireless 24 hours?) and even no listed phone, email or address for the company (hiding?).
Everyone knows that ALL electronic devices (especially wireless) require technical support at one time or another.
It seems if you have a connection or other problem you are S.O.L.
Check it out before buying.

Ok,

Much to my better judgment I just called Cricket tech support to see if they could resolve the issue with my internet going down to slower than dial up speeds over the past week or so.

In my mind it is something as simple as redirecting the tower which probably was turned at some point over the past week.

Their solution was for me to sit closer to a window. Really?

I began my cricket internet service in September of 09. At first the service was decent at my house, better than dial up. It has gone down to less than dial up speeds if that is possible. I basically have no internet ability with their service.

I have yet to receive my mail in rebate back yet. They seem to have lost it and cannot send another out until the first is located. Apparently this is taking them a while.

The new update came across for cricket two weeks ago, I downloaded it onto a new laptop and it immediately blue-screened. Go figure, I take it to the tech guys at best buy. It was the new update from cricket that caused the software issue. I talk to cricket technical support which come to find out is their customer service department. I got a guy who could barely speak English, I asked for an English speaking tech support person since I could not understand but every 5th word. He couldn't transfer me or give me a number to a U.S. based call center.

I pushed through with him just to find out that Cricket has no tech support but customer support people reading possible solutions to issues from a computer screen. He was of no help, I asked for a manager, he said he was the manager, I asked for his manager, he said his manager was out. I asked when I could call back to speak with him, he said he could not give out that information. It continued on like this from that point, I would ask a simple question and he would tell me that he could not give out the information. I asked for some type of compensation or credit to my account since this issue was created by cricket, he said that cricket did not create issues for peoples computers and would have to end the phone call since their was nothing he could do for me. I told him that it was a damn shame to be treated like this by customer service/tech support. He said he was ending the call due to foul language.

Nice job Cricket, your really setting the bar high here.

We purchased a Cricket phone on line, for our grandson. When the phone arrived we called and had it activated. They gave us a wrong area code for Arizona and then said we would have to call back because something was wrong with their computer system.
We called back and were told they would waive the fee for changing the number. They finally gave us the correct area code number. When phone is on, it is always searching. It is a refurbished phone, and this morning it acted up really wierd, It would not shut off by pressing end, I had to remove the battery.

Battery checked out good when charged, but if you leave the phone on it searches all the time. If you walk five blocks away the reception is great. We can not walk five blocks to use the phone. We are senior citizens and got this phone so that our grandson can call us for a ride from school. The reception at school is great.
We took the phone in 2 times and this last time we were told we can get another refurbished phone for $10.00 and no camera.

This is a very bad policy. If one phone does not work why would I put out another amount of money for a phone and no camera. It is like throwing more money out the door.

We live on social security and in this economy I feel I was treated very badly. They say there is service in my area. We paid $47.00 for the phone and a months service, I would never recommend this service to anyone.

Where to file complaints against this "company"
FBI.gov
finra.org (as LEAP Communications)
Your state's Consumer Protection Department/Agency AND the California Department of Consumer affairs
FCC (if they have no FCC license they can not continue thier abuses
Federal Trade Commission - [protected]
Department of Labor - (must have something to hide if they are trying to get me fired from this agency (which bahahah I don't work at) for making a comment on the President of LEAP Communication that theyare a Federal Contractor and maybe in need of a DOL Compliance review)
The LEAP President's office number is [protected] (they only call you back to threaten you)
File a police report if your issue involes illegal and fraudulent charges
I liked googleing the Board of Directors and telling them about the ways in which this company stole from me.

I have to say I have had Cricket phone service for 2 years and broadband for about 9 months. I never have problems with either one. I love cricket because its affordable and there are no suprise charges. My phone bill is the same every single month. The ONLY thing I dont like is the fact that they cut the bridge payments to one a month.

This phone services is terrible. I can't top-up my phone sometimes for 2 days!

They say my credit cards are not good.
I have a visa, MC, American Express which I use daily!
Cricket denies my cards, even the top-up cards you buy in the store.

It's scamming and worthless. I'm going back to Virgin Mobile! :)

I had Cricket for one month, worked great, then I go to get online, and it would not connect. I called customer service, the tech area, and the lady goes " did you pay your bill today" ? I said this morning at a cricket store, I paid cash. She goes "well your payment is pending, so I cant help you with anything until it goes threw" I said I paid my bill early, plus I paid cash, what does that have to do with tech support? she goes "nope cant help you" I was dumb founded, that made no sense whats so ever, then she just hung up on me! I called back and got another tech support person, this person trouble shooted with me for a hour, then refered it for a tech to call me back. After 2 days no call, I called them back, first I needed to give them 48 hours, then after 48 hours came and went, I was told to wait at least a week, for a tech to call me. no calls, I took it to a cricket store, this guy worked on it for 2 hours, told me the problem was real simple to fix, but when the trouble shooted it they made a disaster out of it.The Manager told me that I had to wait for this Tech guy to contact me, dispite 12 calls to this Tech guy, with polite call back info, he would not return my call. So I was stuck with a down computer and a tech guy that will not do his job.I had the same problem with customer service, alot of the operators, once they realized the scope of my problem, they would just hang up on me, so they would not have to deal with it. Then you spend for ever trying to get threw again. The 1-800-cricket line, is disgusting, they are complete idiots. But when I went into the Cricket stores they were VERY GOOD. Anyhow I had to pay a computer nerd $150 to fix, what cricket did to my computer. The internet is great, but if you have tech problems, good luck! I would go directly to the store, and not deal with calling them. Also the Manager at the store, rebated me the week I was with out service, and he made a complaint to the corporate office, regarding the jerk tech guy who wouldnt do his job.

In Nov. of 08 I signed up for Cricket Wireless Broadband service. I paid $159.00 for the modem (with a $50 mail-in rebate) and over $19 for prorated services since my billing cycle would be up on Dec. 18th. I was told my service would cost 35.00/month for unlimited broadband service. A bit pricey but we wanted a wireless device. Crickets ads on TV and their OWN web site states that it is an UNLIMITED broadband service as did the man who sold me the modem, and $35 was still $5 less than we were paying for cable internet. The moden was easy to install and at first the service was great. Not as fast as cable, but fast enough. Now, we use the internet mainly for surfing, games, dowloading, the typical things MOST people do on their internet. About a week after we installed it, the internet started to slow down considerably, to the point of being as slow as dial up. We couldn't download and God help you if you wanted to watch a video on YouTube (the average time to load one is about 45 minutes). We went to the Cricker retailer and complained. They said they had no idea why this would be happening and asked if I had called tech support. I told them I had, but for 3 days straight I got the "we are experiencing higher than normal call volume, please call back...CLICK". So they gave me another number to call. When we called that 800 #, it was another branch of their tech support and to my joy, it was someone from Ohio (typicaly I would reach someone who spoke very little English and who couldn't understand me either). After some checking around, she told me that the reason it was so slow was beacuse we had hit our download limit of 5gbs. She explained that pretty much anything we do like playing games, watching streaming video, downloading songs, downloading pictures from e-mail and even Microsoft updates count toward our 5 gbs, and once that happens, the broadband is shut off and that you're basically on a dial-up line. I explained to her that we told it was unlimited and she told me she knew that is what they were telling people and she didn't know how they were getting away with false advertising. We are like most families in what we use the internet for and with that useage, the limit is reached within days...so you have a few days of broadband and the rest of the month is dial-up. Now, mind you, you STILL have access...you can still download and surf but a Microsoft update can take DAYS to download (almost 2 days in our case). We were also informed that when you exceed your limit, anything beyond that (even if it's not on broadband) counts toward your next months limit. So, at this point, it'll be years before we have broadband again! She was nice enough to reset our limit, and for a few days, we have speed again. I honestly have to say, that after other bad experinces with Crickets customer service, this women was actually very nice, spoke clear English and was very helpful.

Now, we are stuck with a new wirelss modem that put us out $159 (the $50 rebate has YET to appear) and really crappy internet service that is pretty much useless, might as well have a dial-up line, which I can get for $10 a month! When we went to the retailer to complain, they claim to not ever know this is how their internet service works
