Credit One Bank credit card fraud

In September 2014, I tried logging into the portal to check our monthly statement, but the login credentials didn't work. I thought I had forgotten them. A couple of days later, I tried again, but was still denied access. So I changed the password and logged in. There was a message that our contact info had been updated, but it wouldn't display the updated info for 3 days. (what?! a website can't display info for 3 days. red flag #1). Then it appeared that "we" had made a huge payment, like $1800 and paid an additional $9.99 to expedite the credit to our credit line. My heart leapt in my throat. We didn't have $1800 to pay that card. How could I have made such a mistake? Then I was immediately kicked out of the site. I tried logging in again, but was denied. I had to change the password again. (red flag #2). I logged into our bank statement and realized that I had NOT made a payment mistake. There were not debits from our bank account. Not only that, but in the time I was kicked out of the site, 2 charges from newegg.com had been charged to the account...conveniently for the total credit balance available. We immediately called Credit One to close the account. They sent us a fraud report, which we signed and returned. A few days later, a letter showed up saying our new card was being mailed to our new address... in Rochester, NY. We don't live in anywhere near there. We called again to cancel the card. They still shipped us a card to our correct address, even though we had canceled the account. We monitored monthly statements that showed a credit of $300 because they chalked up the newegg.com charges as fraud. However, today we received a statement with a balance due of $1800 and a payment due of $92 because...you guessed it 2 new charges to newegg.com for $2000. We called again tonight and were told the card was never canceled. We're convinced Credit One Bank and Newegg.com are running a scam and/or it's an "inside job." What do we do?!

Horrible. I cannot log into the site to pay my monthly payment. I did get a call and I told the Indian caller that I was trying to log on to pay my payment. They in the mean time have sent me a different credit card? Hmmmmm...Also got to almost pay on account then they said it was a wrong number on cc for payment on. I am at a loss...

When late on a payment, they call you about 10-20 times a day. I checked caller id when getting home. We spoke with an agent made arrangements and they are still calling 10-20 times a day, stating that they never talked to us. According to my state laws, they are only supposed to call twice in a seven day period.

This is the worst credit card i've had in my life. I've made all but 2 payments ontime and now im 175 over my limit. Last month for no reason they sent me back my payment and charged me $30 for what they did. I have like 3 $30 late fees and over the limit fees because of the returned payment they did. When this is all payed off my account is definitely being cancelled.

This company has charges on a credit card before I activated it. I found out when I went to use and I was declined for being past due. It had only been 15 min since I activated the card.

This Bank first of all the worse bank out of the country. They have poor services. They tried all their ways to contact the person that they needed to talk to. For example, they called my house phone just to look for this certain person. When I told them he's not home, they called my cellphone couple times a day. I have nothing to do with Credit One. But how F*** they got my phone number down? I tried calling their phone numbers listed on their website, but it was no use. I felt like there is some sort of a scam that will do anything to put their hands on our money. This company is sketchy and are not telling their "customers" that there will be a never ending fees that you will have to pay till the day you die.

Is anyone in the habit of making payments online? I'd like to here from you. There may be a problem with the way this institution is crediting such payments. And, the problem may be making it virtually impossible for unsuspecting consumers to pay their cards off.

check first with your bank why your payments was returned, there is a posibility that you have n insufficient funds on theat account so most likely you will be really charged a returned payment fee, its not only with creditone. its also the practice for other banks.

Credit One Bank fcra violations

Allan Shutt, Robert Dejong and Narine Yenovkian of Credit One Bank defraud consumers by promoting a credit card that looks identical to Capital One Bank. In their solictations, you are told you will receive a credit line of up to $1, 000. It ends up being $300, with a monthly fee of $8.25 on top of the interest at 23.9.

When I paid off the alleged balance, which I dispute, it took two attorneys: both Allan Shutt and Narine Yenovkian to determine the final balance! Now they continue to report inaccurately.

This company is owned by the Sherman Group, the largest debt collector. LVNV debt collections and several other debt collectors are situtated adjacent to Credit One Bank at 585 Pilot Road. In fact, the collections manager for the bank also works for three other debt collection companies.

If you take issue with Credit One Bank, do a google search on "Credit One Arbitration" and you will find resources to combat Credit One Bank's deceptive practices and slimy attorneys, especially Allan Shutt.

Update by Academy Bank Unfair to Military Families

Capital One's trademark swoosh was copied by Robert DeJong. Capital One is a global leader. Credit One is a small bank that only slings subprime cards. That is deceptive. Not all banks have arbitration. Capital One does not. They learned.

Out of thousands of complaints not one person claimed to receive $1000 credit line. That is deceptive...up to means possible. It is not possible. Very deceptive.

The collection manager works for debt collection companies owned by Credit One she stated...under penalty of perjury.

There is good reason Credit One is rated so poorly on yelp and so many boards. Because of their deceptive practices.

While it is true that you signed an arbitration agreement. That doesn't stop you from filing complaints with the various government and state agencies who can investigate and bring charges against Credit One Bank. It's helpful to come online and share your experiences to prevent others from doing business with them. However I wish more people would also file complaints with the Nevada Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the organization that oversees banks.

WELL, there is something called BUSINESS & PROFESSIONS CODE 17200. What they are doing meets the requisite elements of an "UNFAIR" business practice which is one of the Three prongs based on violation of each one you can sue. The prongs are: (a) Unlawful, (b) Unfair, and (c) Fraudulent.
The good thing about 17200 is recovery for cost, and reasonable attorney fee as well as PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
In reality 17200 is the Lord's gift to consumers to go after perpetrators of fraud on the public. USE IT . IT IS VERY EFFECTIVE.

Credit One and Capital One have the exact same logo.
Citi Credit and Citibank are both part of CitiGroup, technically they are the same company. If you're talking about another Citi Credit, then my apologies
Credit One does not clearly disclose their annual fee. They state it's $99 per year billed at $8.25 monthly. Not exactly. The monthly fee is added to your balance and then you're charged interest on the whole thing. Their interest rate is 23.9% annually or 1.99% a day.. That $8.25 accrues 16 cents in interest per day because it accrues from the posting datet. At MINIMUM, the annual fee is $100.25. That would only be if your balance were zero AND you paid the $8.25 the day after posting. The annual fee is at minimum $100.25, and that's what they should disclose.

In addition, you agreed to a binding arbitration regarding about your dealings with Credit One bank and you are still posting here.
Based on your lack of integrity in that case and your choice to make rude comments in private I am guessing that you deserve whatever you get.

#1- How does it look like a CAPITAL ONE credit card? There are only so many things they can put on a credit card LIKE a VISA of MASTER CARD LOGO as well as the name of the bank and the Logo that they have. That's like saying Citi Bank and Citi credit have logos that look alike. Two different companies with similar names and logos happen all the time.

#2- A limit UP TO $1000 means that it could be a $1 limit or a $1000 as well as anything in the middle. I think the $300 falls in that range.

#3- The monthly fee would be on the disclosure paperwork that you got once you are approved. If you did not want to pay the fee then you do not use the card and you close the account. By using it, you have agreed.

#4- I am guessing that the Collections Manager works with the collection companies and not for them.

#5- ALL banks have Arbitration issues and to look up just 1 is a waste of time.

Credit One Bank denial of tila rights

I am complaining against Credit One Bank because their attorney has sent me one email directly, to cease and desist contact with Credit One Bank. This blocks my rights to contact Credit One Bank against the Truth in Lending Act, my right, under law, to contact the bank to notify the bank of errors on my account, or contact customer services, or utilize any service guaranteed under my "Annual Fee" they charge me $8.25 monthly for on a CLOSED ACCOUNT! The below email is from their attorney, with other witness names excluded. I have already filed a BAR complaint against the attorney in Nevada.

Dear Mr. Brown,

Credit One denies your numerous inaccurate statements, including that the Bank has failed to “pay Jams.” Such continued subterfuge by you will be addressed in Credit One’s responses to your alleged complaints with the FTC and CFPB, as well as the arbitration proceeding with Jams.

Further, you are on NOTICE that Credit One will seek all incurred legal fees, costs and damages allowed under law for any written publication by you of a defamatory remark that injures the reputation or character of an employee of Credit One.

Due to your precipitous actions, you are forthwith instructed to CEASE ALL COMMUNICATIONS WITH CREDIT ONE and direct all future communications through Jams. Further communications with anyone at Credit One, outside of Jams, will be considered harassment.

Sincerely,

Allan J. Shutt†

Credit One Bank arbitration

Credit One Bank requires all disputes to be settled via binding arbitration. After attempting to resolve my dispute with them regarding credit reporting (FCRA), without success, we both agreed to arbitration with Jams Denver.

However, I have paid the Consumer Fee which is $250 and Credit One Bank refuses (silently) to pay their share of the case management fee. They are also obligated by contract to pay all other fees in arbitration, which can easily exceed $20, 000 or more. Arbitration is a tool to avoid class actions, however, Credit One Bank is breaching its own contract by avoiding arbitration it required by contract.

I implore anyone considering Credit One Bank, or current customers with disputes, to file a dispute with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, especially regarding Consumer Arbitration, as these large banks are using it to thwart fairness from all Consumers illegally.

Credit One Bank want to pay them, but they won't take my money!

I signed up to pay my bills online, and mistakely put in incorrect checking account info into my online payment profile. When I realized what happened after my payment was declined, I called them to change my banking information and pay my bill from a different account only to find out that they froze my account- and I can only "unfreeze" it by sending a verification letter from the bank that rejected the payment. Well, I can't verify an account that doesn't exist! They won't let me change my banking information or anything. I am a customer that WANTS to pay my account, WANTS to pay my bills and WANTS to use their product, and they won't let me. The non-English speaking agent just kept reading her script over and over saying "I"m sorry, we'll be happy to help you if you just send us this letter." This is totally insane. I don't even know what to do- let it go to Collections and then pay it off?

Credit One Bank customer service

I have been a customer with credit one bank since 2006 and always paid my bill on time. I even paid the bill due on the 15th of the month on the 9th or 10th. No problems. Recently, I had a financial situation and was unable to pay by the 17th. The calls started immediately. I do not understand how the prompt says to press one for english however, when you get someone they clearly do not have command of the english language. I could not understand the person in that the accent was just too "thick". I was then transferred to a supervisor who was worse. The supervisor was very condesending and rude. He suggested that I contact family or friends to pay the $86.00 payment and when I said I cannot the he had the nerve to ask me how I was going to pay for my daily expenses. He then told me that the account would go to collections and the payment at that time was one day late. I have subsequently called back and asked to speak to someone born in america and sounds like me. Well I am still on hold. Because I live in a multi-racial housing complex I know that the accent was pakastani or from that region. I asked if the call center was even in america and the person went to the next question. It is appalling that we in the u. S. Have to deal with individuals who have no concept of the english language and to make it worse if they did the accent is just terrible. By the way, credit one never called me when over 5 years I have paid my bill at least 7 days early. I will continue to ask for an american to help me. I am not sure who these people are but you can hear multiple voices in the background, it like eavesdropping on a sales floor. To be perfectly frank, I do not care where the person was born and raised however, I do not think asking for someone who sounds like me is unreasonable.

Credit One Bank service, billing, policy, fees

The creditone website has a feature which allows users to establish text or email messages warning them of things like being over limit (Which shouldn't be allowed to happen, at all), or warning of an upcoming due date. I paid all but fifty cents of my balance due, and completely forgot about the remaining change... It's certainly not an issue for me to pay it - it was just a matter of logistics (I have two bank accounts and only had the routing and account information for one of them, because my computer died).

Lately, i've been receiving lots of phone calls, so I thought i'd look to see who it was. It turns out that it's creditone. So, I stroll online to check my account, and find that they have charged me a $25.00 late fee. For fifty cents... Which I simply forgot to pay. I would have set up a reminder, of course, but their website warning service isn't actually functioning. I cannot reasonably justify paying 25.00 for a 0.50 oversight.

I faxed them... Letting them know that i'll pay the fifty cents when they remove the fee, and that if they don't, i'll pay my bill on the 25th... And then i'll close my card. We'll see one happens.

To the first response implying that I live off of the government or am uneducated: I have four college degrees. The latter two are both masters degrees in areas of my field of expertise. I have several years of experience and am currently a graduate student pursuing a doctoral degree. You should probably consider whether you have the authority to judge others before you open your mouth, lest you find yourself choking down the teeth you've inadvertently kicked out when you crammed your foot into your mouth. After having read the other comments you've posted, I can tell that you're quite simply a conservative troll who gets her rocks off by bashing other people. Really, you should piece together whatever semblance of a life remains in your sad, little world and attempt to establish relationships that aren't founded upon insulting others in a futile attempt to uplift yourself.

To the second response, you're absolutely right with regard to the amount that I paid... it was misleading - I had made the minimum payment... not the entire amount. If I were to have paid off the full amount, there would be absolutely no reason for a late charge (and subsequently a post), as the minimum payment would have been paid in full. That being said, as you'll note from the screen-shot I posted, there remains a balance due of 0.50, and there was a late charge applied on 3/11. It is not customary to apply late fees to accounts which are currently in good standing or in which the full payment had been made. Given the industry standard, the company would have waited until their cutoff time for payment posting on the due date of my payment (which was 3/11). I will not have another late charge next month, as my payment for next month is not due until somewhere around (as you cleverly pointed out) 30-days following the previous payment... which would place it on or about 4/11. SO, I didn't miss the payment this month as well... I actually didn't miss any payments, I missed 2% of one payment (a total of fifty cents) which, you'll notice - assuming you actually review my complaint and the associated image - was not due in February. While it may be customary for some to wait until the last possible minute to pay their bills, I tend to pay mine as soon as they become available.

If you're implying that I am either uneducated or living off of the government, you are grossly mistaken. I have four college degrees and am a licensed professional in my field. That being said, given your history of comments on others' posts, I cannot help but to think that your primary goal here is to troll and insult others. I would caution you, though, to leave your bitterness and assumptions at the door, lest you knock your teeth down your throat with the force exerted as you ram your foot into your mouth.

Credit One Bank fraudulent billing practices

Payment not credited to account. Provided proof by senting them a copy of my bank statement that Credit One received the payment. Credit One keeps asking me to sent proof again and again never crediting the payment. Late fees are $50 per month. They did say they would remove the late fee but then requested a triple payment amount for next month. I have never been late with a payment. They got my money and I have proof they were paid and still they won't credit my account and now want larger payments...unheard of. Sounds like fraudulent billing practices to me!

Credit One Bank I got scammed

I was scammed by Credit One Total. After applying for an unsecured loan, I was tricked into paying them 498.00, i was told if I don't pay them to fix my credit, I don't have a chance to get the loan. I have spent more than that already in mailing and faxing letters to credit bureaus. This is a total scam.

Credit One Bank service

I have a credit one credit card and had no problem with the Activation. The problems started when my husband's business went bankrupt and he was out of a job, I fell a little behind on payments, which is totally my fault for not being able to pay. On November 15th, I go online and make an express payment. You have to pay a 9 dollar and some change processing fee go have the funds available next business day. I also paid the amount completely in full. 0.00 balance left. They called me, at LEAST 7 times plus a day. Starting at 8 in the morning, ending around 9 at night. Even after I made the payment which is super irritating. Then I check my bank to make sure it all goes through, payment completely cleared. The next day, I go to Wal-Mart and try to pay with my credit card since my husband had my bank card. 20.00 transaction, declined. 2 business days after I made my payment in full. I call credit one. The first guy who I haveno clue who is name is because he talks so fast and doesn't let me day a word, tells me no I didn't make an express payment and I basically need to deal with it and I have to wait to the next Thursday for the funds. So I hung up because that was getting nowhere...I check online, express payment trade November 15th and the see is included of 9.00. Awesome.. so I call back. The lady, same thing, talks super fast and I have no clue what she's saying... says ma'am, you did make an express payment, but your fun ds are not available because you only get forwarded 100, and the rest comes next week. That says that not one place on the website, which I told her, it says next business day. Well, ma'am, its because u paid with your checking account, you have to use a card. What?! with a checking account it comes straight from your account, better tHan the card, and its completely processed through my bank. Sorry ma'am, your not getting your funds... I ask for a supervisor. I made him repeat his name, Nathan...he was not only twice as fast, and twice as loud, he reallynwas not considerate to my situation...he gave me a 25 credit, and said sorry, you have to wait. He did graciously wave the express fee, but that was only because I didn't read the website properly.. that's what he said. SO, hung up, be cause he was useless too.. read the entire website including facts and frequent questions, it says that nowhere...absolutely NOWHERE that you only get forwarded 100 and you have to wait..in fact, I went in to see about the payment and it says debit card or checking account payment, both available the next day... not onlundid the customer service absolutely suck, but my card is still useless. I see after all the effort I made after I lose half my income, which is hard enough, and I make my payment in full AND express, I still get treated like dirt. I will be looking for a company that actually cares.

Credit One Bank unreputable company

If you are trying to rebuild your credit, please, please, please do not get this credit card. I received this card, 6/28/2012. After reading the credit card's visa/mastercard carholder agreement disclosure statement and arbitration agreement, I called the number in this agreement and it is the same number that you activate the card. I spoke with a customer service rep an hour after this activation to cancelled the credit card. She assured me that the credit card was cancelled. However, I never believe most folk so I voided the card and sent it back to them certified mail the next day. On the same day 6/29/2012, I received a credit card statement dated 6/21/2012 for $25.00. There is a $75.00 annual membership fee for this card. They must think that they are american express. I will dispute the fraudulent charge via certified mail today. I called credit one again to verify that my cancellation is in effect. After the system asked me to input the credit card number. I did from the statement and I waited a few minutes to speak to a customer service rep. It was a male rep and I recorded the conversation and I asked him once more if the credit card was cancelled. He said yes. Then I looked at my credit karma account and noticed that on 7/01/2012 it is showing up as an added credit card on my credit report. Credit karma is a transunion affiliated product and they encouraged a credit one credit card. All I am saying is that you should be very careful in trusting advice about your credit situation. Credit one is costing me money by dealing with them via sending certified mail. Do not get this credit card. It is like gambling, the house is stacked against you before you even start.. They billed you before you get this card

Credit One Bank billing/customer service issues

CreditOne Bank uses offshore customer service agents to service its members accounts. On multiple occasions now, when either calling them or receiving a phone call from the agent(s), after a period of time on the phone, the line will suddenly go dead when you show any amount of displeasure or ask for a supervisor.

The final straw was when I received a long line of calls starting from 8am in the morning a week after I was laid off. When I would answer the phone there would never be anyone there, even after waiting for 30 seconds. When I finally got hold of someone, I stated to the individual that I wished to rectify the account and that I would remit payment between Thursday 7 June and Sunday 10 June. I was then told by the agent that since I had money for other bills that I should be responsible enough to pay CreditOne. When I got upset, the line went dead.

This is a normal pattern of conduct from CreditOne Bank. I have phoned two dozen times in the last four weeks because this is a systemic practice that is used by them when disagreements arise. Between irregular billings, substandard customer service, and harassing phone calls, enough is enough. I finally got hold of an agent and stated that all correspondence is to be done by mail only, and that my account is to be frozen.

I strongly discourage anyone from using CreditOne Bank for any financial dealings due to their consistent issues they have had with myself and other individuals - they have had over 300+ complaints with the BBB over the last three years alone. Clearly, this is a troubled company.

Credit One Bank refusal to dismiss fraudulent charges

On March 14, 2012, a Trojan malware infected my computer. The name of the Trojan is "System Check." It completely stopped the activity of my computer until I bought the software for $84.50. The company is completely fraudulent and the software does not work. Prior to purchasing it, I received numerous descriptions of hardware and RAM issues that seemed to be dire. As soon as I ordered System Check, no problems whatsoever were indicated though my computer sent me messages that there were. When I called Credit One they refused to freeze the payment or to reverse the charges even after a lengthy explanation.

Credit One Bank they are full of tricks to get you to get a credit card from them

I recently opened a credit card with Credit One Bank, I went on vacation in April of 2011 and my bank card was lost. I had to cancel my card. I had paid Credit One prior to me leaving on vacation but they did not process the payment until a week or so after so when they went to process the payment it was bounced back to them (because that card # they had was reported stollen) so they called me and I gave them the new card number.

The following month I tried without success to register on thier website so that I would be able to view my account and pay my bill online. Customer service did not have any idea as to how to help me register to be able to use thier website. I then received a notice in the mail telling me that my account was again past due (they kept using my stolen card# to pay my bill!) so I once again gave them my new information and paid my bill + a 20.00 late fee.

Finally, I called and demanded that someone try and help to get ne registered online (this is right after I made a 70.00 payment to them) it was at this time that I was told that my account had been closed due to returned payments! After explaining and proving that the mistake was on thier end, they still wanted me to get a letter from my bank stating when my card was stolen so that they could reopen my account! So I bascically have to suffer for THIER Mistake! I told them I will never do business with them ever again and they did me a favor by closing my account.. their interest rates are very high and they charge 20.00 late fee ON TOP of an annual fee.. BEWARE, , they are full of tricks to get you to get a credit card from them!

Credit One Bank never signed up

My dad received a credit card in the mail he never signed up for and shredded it seconds after opening the letter. He received a bill today for $75 so he tried to call the company and tell them he never signed up or even heard of the company, but he couldn't get through to the 800 number that was on the bill. He is retired and living on a fixed income and has limited credit, he really doesn't need this ruining it. Knowing my dad the way i do and how frugal he is, or can be, he would never sign up for a credit card like this one.

Credit One Bank unethical and predatory business practices

The specifics of MY experience:
My financial situation had improved dramatically in 2011 so I decided to start trying to rebuild my credit. I got a credit card with Credit One Bank, paid for monthly "credit protection insurance" to cover costs should I be laid off from my job.

• I read the agreement and thought the $75.00 annual fee was a bit excessive but I was determined to begin building my credit again.
• The “Credit Protection Insurance” seemed like a good deal, $4/month and the employment situation in Florida was precarious at best so I signed up for it.

A few months after I was approved for a credit card, I WAS subsequently laid off from my job, they denied my credit protection insurance, and refused to work with me regarding a payment arrangement.

• Before I was laid off from my job, I was making all the payments on time.
• When I say they denied the credit protection insurance, I mean exactly that – I signed up for it, was charged for it monthly, and when the time came that I actually needed it – they denied it out of hand. I tried to arrangement a payment arrangement because I was laid off – they denied THAT out of hand.

After denying my "credit protection" insurance and refusing to work with me on a payment arrangement, I was still unemployed so there was little I could do...They began calling me 10+ times a day (including 2-3 calls before 9am on Saturday and Sunday mornings).

• I started keeping a log of all their harassing phone calls.

I have finally found new employment and am in a situation again to begin making payments, however in the meanwhile $255.00 of penalty fees have accrued on my account (which I see as ridiculous and excessive).

• Actually the $255.00 is outdated; the penalties as of now exceed the original debt.

I am ending up owing more in fees and penalties than the original debt was! My issue is this: being laid off from my job was out of my hands, I reacted as responsibly as could be expected and Credit One bank refused every attempt I made to rectify the situation. Credit One Bank has effectively manipulated my bad fortune to double their profit (in the process violating consumer protection laws regarding harassment)!

I feel as though the public should be warned about this company, and ask that your organization make their practices known so others do not go through what I've gone through.

• I have personally submitted formal complaints against Credit One Bank to: The Federal Trade Commission, the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the State Attorney Generals for my (Florida) and Nevada (Credit One Bank’s state) and the Better Business Bureau of Southern Nevada (Credit One Bank’s district).

Contact the Comptroller of the Currency. You should get satisfactory settlement within 30 days. It works! I used it when I had a beef with Newport News catalog and the bank that issues their credit cards.

Credit One Bank approved app, no card received

On Dec 5, 2011 I applied for a credit card from Credit One. I had received a pre-approved letter from them and I explained to my husband what a joke these offers were. How these places tell you that you are pre-approved but when you apply they turn you down. Having a bankruptcy on my record I never would have expected them to approve my app. I actually did it as a joke to prove my point to my husband. Imagine my surprise when they approved me. It became clear that this little known bank was preying on people like me. I pride myself in being cautious and suspicious about these things and don't normally fall for this crap. Well it has been a few weeks and I still haven't received a card. That's when I really became concerned. I looked them up on Google and read all the negative things about them, which I should have done long ago. I called to inquire about the card and was told it takes 3 weeks to receive it. I told the customer service rep that I was suspicious because I have never had to wait this long and their website does not say anything about that. She just kept repeating like a robot till I hung up. Every day I check status on their website. It says that once my card is mailed status will be updated and it will indicate the date the card was mailed, which it still hasn't done. I will attempt to reach them (I don't think there is an email address) and tell them I have changed my mind and to not send the card. I will also notify the three large credit reporting agencies of my decision and why in an attempt to do damage control. Since reading so much negative information I am
genuinely fearful of doing business with them, but I am thankful for having invaluable information such as this handy.

Credit One Bank don't ever use credit one bank for anything

I paid off my bill and asked to cancel my account because of the high interest rate and their “inability” to lower it. The representative that I talked to told me I was canceled and to call up any companies which had re-occurring monthly charges and give them a different credit card to take payments from. I reconfirmed with the rep on the phone that I was completely through with this company and would receive no more billing statements. He agreed. A month and a half later I receive a call from them stating an overdue balance and asking for payments. I explained to them that I had canceled the account, but they disagreed and told me I just “closed it” which means they still allowed a re-occurring charge to take place. Then added all their fees on top of it. Then added a late fee as well. They refused to work with me even though it was their employee who lied to me and confirmed my completion of everything. This company is a bunch of crooks with no customer support. I refused to pay them their ### charges and am sick of arguing with a bunch of Indians from another country about it. Don’t ever use Credit One Bank for anything!

They have to be the worst credit card company ever. They charged me the annual fee after I had closed the account. They charge interest daily. I tried to pay off the account but they keep adding on interest daily so you can never actually pay off the account. Its ridiculous.

Credit One Bank oscar mejia threatening consumers-santa ana california

Credit one is the lender/finance company I used to purchase a vehicle through. I have been three months behind on payments; I agreed to work something out. I was unable to, and told Oscar Mejia, my account rep I would give up the car, to pick it up from my home address by email. My husband received a call from their Legal Department three times between 7:32-7:34 am on 4/24/09; they have called him several times at work. My parents have received numerous calls, even though they told Oscar not to call, because our relationship is strained due to Oscar's rude/harassing everyday contact with them. I told Oscar to pick the car up by phone and email on 4/24/09. 4/25/09 I got a call from his supervisor stating they were aware of this, and what do I want to do. 4:58pm-on 4/25, Oscar left a vim stating they were coming after me and this would never end!4/25/09 at 8:07 pm. Oscar called me from [protected] and told me they would not take the car back, they wanted their money, and I better go out and get it or something will happen! I told him I have been unemployed and unable to, he told me to grow up and borrow it, I told him no one I knew would be able to help me they are in bad situations like me, and I told him I had to pay my rent, because I almost was evicted. He told me I better get him some money or he was sending someone after me. I asked him what did that mean, he was sending someone to kill me, and he said you said it! Not me! You will find out! He told me you better go get a job right now! I told him it was late, and he cannot call me past 8 pm, it is against the law, he told me I don't know anything about the law, when it comes to his money I better get it. I told him I am not into killing or selling drugs, I can't get a job at night. I yelled obscenities at him; he told me you better get the money. I don't understand Credit One gave me the money for a car, they don't want the car, and they want the money. I told him, I don't have it and I wasn't lying. I told him I told him to pick the car up yesterday, he said we want the money and you better get it, and he hung up on me. Earlier in the week someone came to my door, and I watched through the peephole as they pounded the door with hands and feet! I was afraid to answer the door. They left a note from Credit One. I am really afraid, several times a day Oscar calls and leaves rude, harassing messages to myself, and my family members. I tried to make my payments, I have been unemployed and unable to, and they can get the car. I am really afraid to talk to anyone from that company anymore. Oscar Mejia always insinuates that something is going to happen to me, that things are going to get worse for me with dealing with Credit One, and they are sending someone to get me. Please help me. I have saved over 19 messages from him. I have some documentation as well
