I have been trying to get an ok from Craig Secure and it will not take my card . It says after 1 day I will be charged $37 dollars and there is no where telling me how to cancel if it finally goes through my credit card. I need a phone number for that

I'll admit I got suckered on this type of site awhile back, and under normal circumstances I never would have fell for it in the first place...chalk it up to drunken lusting...lol on the other hand, I hear everyone complaining about Craigslist hookups being all fake and there aren't any real women on there looking to play. This is far from true, but honestly there is around a 95% fake and scammer rate on there, you really need to look at the ad and typically the spelling or grammar are dead giveaways, regardless...as mentioned above, it it sounds to good to be true, it most likely is. I will say I have lucked onto a few threesomes and various other casual hook ups from CL, but it takes alot of effort and scrutinizing when the real ones finally reply if you are lucky enough to get a reply in the first place. I use a crap mail account for CL replies just for that purpose...all the inherant spam and bs can stay out of my regular mail...If you don't mind the extended work, you can still get some action off of CL, just don't plan on anything happening quickly or every day. Sometimes it may take me weeks but I really don't mind... compared to dealing with bar drama etc, it's kind of a nice way to keep everyone casual... Good luck to the rest of you all trying to recoup your lost funds...

If you haven't received a fraud alert from your credit card company, then you're going to have to cancel your card. Craig-secure is a scam.

DO. NOT. REGISTER. FOR. THIS. SITE.

Now that I got that out of the way, I'll go in-depth. If someone tells you to register for this site.. Offer alternatives. If their responses are generic and sound like a machine.. That's because they are a machine. Put a foreword on all your ads telling people to not ask you to sign up for Craigs Secure, and simply ignore all emails that ask you to. Problem solved, money saved.

Got contacted by what I assume is a man posing as a woman in response to my craigslist ad for a NSA encounter. 'Her' replies seemed to be programmed, saying stuff like "Finally you replied!" even though I replied within two minutes. In both conversations 'she' has tried to get me to sign up there, claiming it was for safety and won't respond to my offers to meet in public beforehand. SPREAD THE WORD!

Yeah...I was directed to the site too...but I was smart enough to google the website and find out about the complaints before I gave them any info. Guys if you think these girls on Craigs List are just horny women wanting NSA sex...think again...99.9% are pros and they work for these types of sites. TANSTAAFL !

I was directed to "craigsecure.com" by a woman - at least I hope it was a woman - on Craigslist. I replied to her post and in her reply she asked me to tell her about myself: so I did and sent a pic of myself also. I asked her to tell me about herself and to send a pic also. When she replied the only thing she said about herself was that she was a "real woman" that just moved here from Cali, and her friend told her about this site - along with all the "ins and outs" concerning safety. Her reply directed me to craigsecure. Also in her reply she sent a pic (that wouldn't load, ) and asked me to send her a pic of myself. EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY SENT ONE. So I check out the site and find on the second page, in fine print that my cc would be charged 40 bucks. I also see all the well known news station logos, so I decided to Google it and see what others have said concerning craigsecure - and am I glad that I did! Do not fall for this BS! Craigslist warns about scamers before you ever get to view any search results. Come on guys, let's think with the head with the brain, not the one that slows the blood flow to the brain. If a girl was really weary of meeting you, tell her to bring a friend that she trusts and meet in a very populated place.
I hope this will help someone not fall for this cunning and well devised scam.

HAHAHAHA Come on folks. I heard about craigslist and played around a bit with it. I dropped an ad and EVERY reply I got ended up with another email containing a link to a page that I could enter in my info. HHMMM, I say. That ### is all so damn scripted and probably outsourced too. What f#@!s me up is that they can have all these as seen on MSNBC and CNN crap all over the page too. DONT BE FOOLED. LOL I don't know how they get away with this stuff but it's funny. I honestly don't feel sorry for anyone who was scammed by this or will be in the future. It's blatant what the hell is going on. A little common sense goes a long way guys.

A Tip...
If anyone out there continues to use craigslist just remember one thing. If the replies you receive start sounding like porn spam, IT IS PORN SPAM. Key words to look for. Tight, wet, Fit. OH and my favorite, "this is my first time" and "I'm a little nervous" BAH this isn't anyone's first time. LIARS. It's always too good to be true.

What a scam this is. I almost fell for it myself. Here's some advice guys: beware of come-on lines by women that seem to good to be true. Here are some I've come across from women who responded to personal ads I posted or got back to me after I responded to their ad:
1. "I'm looking for some NSA action, and I really liked your ad"
2." I was just floored that someone responded to my ad since the girls here are so much younger than i am".
3." I've never done anything like this before and I'm kind of nervous about it"

I also want to point out that you should NEVER give credit card information to any service that says they're not going to bill you and that they just want to use it for age verification

the website craigsecure and the biling site they send you to look legit. almost too good. but come on. you go on craigslist looking for a date and you get a bot or someone who wants to cam or send you to a crappy 3rd party site like craigsecure. the girl says get back to me soon she sounds urgent come on girls aren't like us guys they don't need sex now. what they want is your money now. i give up on craigslist for dating and their job ads are shady too. never respond to a 3rd party site for either dating or job postings and never upload your resume or credit card or social to any3rd party site from craigslist. Want a good date site have to pay for eharmany. craigslist sucks scam artist aboud. prey on horny guys and job seekers

I nearly got caught by the site. I entered everything, however I only had a debit card, therefore couldnt enter a CVV2 allowing them to access my credit card. I pressed enter in an attempt to get through, however it kept not allowing me past that page. Will they use my name and address for anything?

I chesked teh address povided with the site, which is supposed to be in Palo ALto, California. Tehere is NO such address. There is NO such street in Palo Alto. There is no such company listed in Santa Clara County either. This is the most clever scamm I have ever seen! Guys do not give you credit cards numbers. Report the scam to the authorities.

They pull off these scams by putting in fraudulent "links" which give no indication (by the name) that you're about to become a member of a sex or porn site. Someone ought to hang them by their testies. Prior to my entrapment, I had always refused to get near anything like this, but in my case, the "link" appeared so innocent that I tried it and got zapped. Tomorrow, I will replace my credit card with a new one and chock it up to learning...even at my age. Don't judge these young folks for getting trapped. It wasn't their fault, no matter what you holy rollers say!

I was almost sucked into this site. I posted an ad looking for employees on Craigslist. I received a response asking that I first register with Craigsecure so that they know I am legit and not up to anything illegal. Had I two responses requesting the same I would have fell for it... I was already there entering in email addy before I thought better of it and backed out before proceeding. I am a woman looking for new employees... not looking for pervs or porn.

To all you say you put you cc# in there and what do you think it is for how
about think it is for what it says it is, to verifi your age and make sure your not a sex
offender or anything like that! Where does it say even one time there is any sort of charge
NOWHERE! This is fraud and all who defend it are the same ###heads trying to take your
money plain and simple! It is so obvious that the posts are from the same people that will lose money when people complain about sites like these well I will let everyone know and will speak
as loud as possible about fraud like this so good luck getting many more suckers, as I will not stop
untill this is shut down! You ###! Oh and by the way I am not a perv. I just work tiressly to shut down any kind of fraud be it from phone, internet, contrators you name it! So enjoy what you got for now

all you guys are ###in idiots. you dont even know what the ### hes talkin about. the age verification wasn't supposed to be for porn its so girls on dating sites can make sure you are "safe" and not underage. well that's their excuse its just a lure to get you to enter your credit info and they then use it to sign you up fro the porn sites so they can charge you a whole bunch of money for something you didn't intend to order. but dude you should have know it was a scam they are so obvious. what kind of girl would tell you to enter your credit card so she can know your age. that is a ### excuse. and you actually fell for it. you should have told her you'll send her a copy of your ID. then they will either ignore your reply or keep pushin for you to sign up on that website. ppl are ###in stupid
