Costco employment

I have a friend who applied for a job. Once he went through 3 interviews and the next time 2 and didn't get hired. Yesterday he went in there and wanted to know if he did something wrong. He was told it wouldn't do him any good to apply again cause their computer system says you weren't hired before so they don't even look at your application. So he comes out and says we come here weekly and I have never seen a person of color working here. I said I know. Your the wrong color for costco. Maybe we need to stop giving them money.

Costco customer service/employees/costco, bunker hill houston tx

Customer Service and employees are rude and discriminate against minority groups. It is not the fist time I go to this specific location and I feel like Im treated as a criminal. The questions and the looks that they give us are uncomfortable. As a member I don't fell welcome at this branch. I understand that this store is an area with a high latino population, and/or may have had several theft incidents, but that doesn't mean that they have to generalise. I'm a really hardworking person that earns pretty descent money and have no need of doing any wrong. If Costco is so worried about people stealing from their stores, they should do a criminal background check on every member, for Costco's peace of mind, and the members too. I'm not going to spend my hard earned money on a company that doesn't appreciate their customers, no matter what ethnic background they come from, and or simply judge people by their looks. I've been to other locations in Houston and I have NEVER encounter this problem.

The only people this sends to competitors are the thieves. The only people offended by this are thieves. If you are doing nothing wrong you would not notice them watching you.

Who ever made the above comment is indicative of the bad manners of Costco employees that should be dismissed for their arrogance towards customers. Costco employees act like we are lucky to shop there, Costco corporate better get a handle on this growing problem that's sending your customers to your competitors.

Think about it like this: watching for theft keeps the prices low. Thank them for saving you money. If you are not stealing you have nothing to worry about. I watch everybody in my store.

Costco farm raised fish

I've complained to management at the Costco store in St. Peters MO that their fish are all farm raised except for the occasional Canadian Walleye fish.

The person was totally unaware of it and didn't really care.

A few days later I see a video clip of a Costco CEO bragging about how they test everything over and over for quality. He even said that they sold mostly wild caught fish. That was a lie.

Check out this info about Costco's farm raised fish. The story also leads right back to Monsanto.

Costco customer service is a disaster!

Bought a rug from Costco about two months ago and still nothing. I wasted hours on phone trying to get some info about the status of my order. Every time I called I was put on hold for about 30 minutes and then disconnected. Called again and they said sorry and told that they had some sort of problem and promised to contact me with their manager. Then I was put on hold again and nothing happened. I want to know where my rug is and when it will show up!

Costco pharmacist

Suzanne the Costco Norwalk store seems to believe she is a DEA agent. She refused to refill my prescription for debilitating back muscle spasms. I have been using Costco for years to buy my prescriptions. I have Lupus and am a full time caregiver to my Brain Injured 38 year old son & at 60 years old I cetainly don't think it's her job to accuse me of either taking one or two too many muscle spasm medication or to assume I'm selling them.
Costco at times have given me my prescription a day early while picking up other prescriptions. So she said she went back a few months and noticed they have given me my medication early on two different occasions. So she figures I don't need to pick up this months refill because I should have left over pills. SHE DECIDES THAT? She isn't my doctor and I told her that wasn't her job. Her job is to fill my doctors prescription on time each month and not to speculate if I have any left over. She informs me that it is in fact her job to do just so.
So I told her to get all my latest prescriptions renewals ready that I was coming in to get them and changing my pharmacy.
She said 'fine.'
I cannot believe the audacity and demoralizing attitude of this person.
I hope Costco's CEO appreciates this persons ability to attack the character of their customers.

Wine is Good is correct. We are taught to have a fiduciary responsibility towards our patients and their safety. All those who claim that "whatever the doctor wrote is what should be filled and you cannot deny it" are flat-out misguided. In the United States, we have a system of checks and balances, to keep doctors from incorrectly prescribing medications to patients.

It is her duty, and legal responsibility to know and question you. Her license and possible jail term depends on it. If you have an issue with a pharmacist doing their legal job, then you should notify the DEA and complain to them. If you get early fills, then you should have medication left over. Your injuries, and your son's injuries do not excuse you from the law.

Costco lack of extra large and unsatisfactory packaging

Been buying your double 18egg cartons forever. Excellent quality. Now Costco wants "cage-free" merchandising by offering this impractical and lousy clear package. Before moving down to "large" cage free eggs did anyone check as to how many recipes call for "extra large" eggs. Now I have to cook 3 of this smaller eggs to get the same breakfast egg portion that was supplied by 2 of your Xlarge eggs. These new ones taste no better. On top of that this packaging, well, sucks. Hard to open and close, takes up more space in frig. Trying these once, now off to BJ's where of course I bought other items that I would have bought at Costco. Nice, well researched and analyzed move Costco.

Costco terrible customer support by mr james sreck?

I went to the store to shop on April 18, 2016 and I had three Costco cash reward rebate with me to cash. The store manager on duty actually lied to me that I could not cash the card but to spend all on unwanted items. I was disappointed. I had to drive to another location at Ann Arundel location where it was done with no question asked. I believed I was badly treated because I am black, but I spent nothing less that $15, 000 yearly in Costco as an executive member on just food and Gas and I believe members need to be treated with honesty and respect and common standard regardless of location. Please address this concern with Mr James (Store Manager at Beltsville MD location). Membership information is Kunle Olojo #[protected]

Costco customer service

4/16/16 6:15 pm or so. Costco didn't return my card and they closed at 6 pm. I saw the Costco guy pushing carts and I told him that I had a sprained ankle, if he could please go inside for my card because they wouldn't let me in & I needed to put gas in my car. He said 'NO, I'M WORKING'. He didn't seem to care about my ankle, my Costco card or the fact that I need gas.

Costco employee name rob

I've been a Costco member for 11 years and I never been so mad like I was on 4/16/16 I was following my wife and son into Costco I was about 30 feet behind them the ladie ask me if I had my membership card I had told her that I was with my wife and pointed at her. five minutes later I have a Costco employee coming straight at me in a hostile manner with no name tag of any sort to distinguish him as a employee he started to comfort me and ask if I have a Costco card he is standing about a foot from me trying to chest up with me in a hostile disposition saying that I said I was with some guy in a grey shirt maybe Costco employees should be trained in customer services a little better and to respect people's personal space and not to assume or act like I am some sort of criminal or thief

Costco tire service

I have had to deal with two issues at Costco Tire Department. The rest of Costco I love. I called several months ago to have an appointment for a tire repair. Was given an appointment for the first thing the next morning. I arrived early and waited. When they finally opened I asked to get my tire repaired and was told it would be an hour later than my appointment cause the workers don't arrive until an hour later. Went to Les Schwab and got it repaired.
On 4/15/16 I called to have my tires rotated. Was told it would be until 4/17 before I got an appointment. I went to Costco to buy groceries and saw that there were 4 empty stalls. I went inside to ask what gives. Was told that 4 people canceled their appointment. I went home and did the rotation myself. I notices two small nails in one tire so called again to see if I could get a repair so I went back. The Manager told me he could not repair the tire with 5/32s tread and would have to buy a new one because the two nails were about 2 inches apart and the American Tire Association (or something similar) did not allow them to do so. I went to Les Schwab again and had the tire repaired. They thought the excuse that the manager gave me was lame. Also Les Schwab fixed the Costco tire for free. I WILL NOT buy tires at Costco again

Costco television return policy

We were refurbishing a house and took advantage of a great price on Samsung 42" TVs at Costco. We bought two. The first one was used immediately and was fine. We did not try the 2nd until 3 months later and found it non-functional. Costco now has a service come out to "fix" the TVs and they took a few weeks to come out and said the screen was cracked. Costco now says we cracked the screen. We never used the TV, it still has the protective layer on the screen.
1. I don't like being called a liar. My business partner watched me take the TV out of the package and we were very gentle with it. We've NEVER filed a claim with Costco.
2. I'll never ever buy a TV from Costco again. That is terrible service from an organization that used to be ethical.
3. I buy a lot of TVs for houses I am flipping. I'll buy at Walmart from now on.

This is Case #7459252 and I am William J Caudle

Costco pharmacy

I have been going to the Costco Pharmacy since 2013, have been a member of Costco since 2008. Things have been going pretty smoothly couple bumps but all in all been a pretty good experience. This past Tuesday I took my prescriptions in to Costco to have them filled and they were not in okay I get that it's a schedule 2 and no big deal. My husband goes back to today to see if the med is in and they have no even ordered it! So now, I went on Tuesday, this is a 30 day supply and they have not even ordered it but are planning to tomorrow! Okay, so what do I do now? Go through withdraw until they decide to order because the Pharmacist is new and all gun-ho? This is the part I hate about these meds, you are placed in a category and that's their opinion of you, not knowing you at all, not knowing your situation. People have made it bad for everybody.

Costco customer service

Guess I'll be taking my business to BJs from now on. I am a pregnant mother and have a 2 yr old toddler. I was using the gas services in Miami, Florida on a very hot day. I decided to leave my car on for my daughter, so she will not be hot and uncomfortable. The attendant at the gas station asked me to turn off my car. I told her I had a toddler in the car and was not. She stuck her hand where the nozzle rest on the gas machine to prevent me from putting gas. I started yelling and telling her that due to all the deaths last year from leaving children in a hot car, I refused to leave my daughter in the car. She again stuck her hand where the nozzle rest on the gas machine to prevent me from putting gas and called the manager. I finally complied: grabbed my daughter while cars were passing by, turned off the ignition, and put gas. My mother is the primary person in this account. I have been on the account, with my mother somewhere between 5-10 years. For this one incident, Costco placed a hold on my mother's card and asked her to remove me from the account. I called to complain, and COSTCO needs to check with the store in order to make a decision. Apparently, their staff is more important than their customers. After speaking to the store, they told me that they would not change their decision.

POINT IS: DO NOT SHOP AT COSTCO, THEY DO NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY CAN CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE THEY FEEL LIKE IT!

Fueling while engine running could result in fire. Costco employee was likely following company policy. That policy is likely dictated by their insurance policy and State law. You could easily check that out online.

Costco tomatoes molded

Last week when we (me and my husband) went for our weekly grocery run at costco and bought tomatoes, came home and saw they had mold on it. We returned it. This week we checked from outside the box thoroughly (2 boxes we could see from outside - mold) - Showed it to a costco employee there. But we needed tomatoes, so though of buying of different company (Slendid - salad tomatoes). Came home, while I was washing it, 2 tomatoes with mold stuck on it. What the hell. We pay for membership to get good quality food, not molded stuff consecutive two weeks.

Costco pharmacy hours

Your pharmacy at the north division store in Spokane WA keeps bankers hours. We tried to purchase Claritin D at the pharmacy and it was closed ! A fellow consumer waiting and waiting told me they close every day so all the department employees can go to lunch! I waited until the hour was up only to find out they would be 20 minutes late! Is this any way to do business when you are competing with The Walmarts of this wotld. You've lost most of our business and we intend tell everyone we know about their cavalier attitude with their members. Diane and Richard Moore

Costco david yerby pharmacist at costco in oxnard ca

I visited Costco today to put in a prescription for Narco. I am a senior citizen who had a failed back surgery which left me crippled. Recently I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and am currently under treatment. I am very sick and weak because of this and live in Ojai which is far from Oxnard. It is very difficult for me to drive that distance to drop off my prescription and come back the next day or so when it is ready.I have no support system and cannot afford a taxi to go that distance. I am too ill to wait there for the time it takes to get the prescription ready. Today I asked David Yerby the pharmacist if I could leave the prescriptions there so that I did not have to come back and make an extra trip. I know the policy for these kinds of drugs is very strict but I was asking for some special assistance. He basically wouldn't give me the time of day and just waved me off. I started to cry and told him my doctor would re-write the prescription and put specific instructions or whatever he needed to protect Costco's policy and liability. He was rude and just not interested. I also asked for a chair as I cannot stand for more than a few minutes because of my disability. None was provided. David needs some detailed training in dealing with sick people. He is very cold and does not represent your store well particularly in this particular department. He is not selling cookies but dealing with various degrees of people who are suffering, infirm and dying. Thank you.

Costco rude employee at the checkout line

I am a long time Costco customer and never been treated like this at Cost Aloha (#09), Oregon (15901 SW Jenkins Rd). Incident happened today (March 15th, 2016 - around 17:45PST at Terminal 7, Transaction 167 - Operator 221)

I am not sure whether it is a frustrated and over-worked worker or something else triggered it. Nonetheless this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable and such employees should be reminded about basic rules of customer engagement.

I had a full cart and towards the back of the cart was a flat packet (some LED wall fixture). I remember picking it up first thing after entering the store but later decided to put it back. Didn't get a chance to as the cart became fuller. Must admit - I forgot it was there in the cart after some time.
As I was unloading the cart at the checkout counter and realized I had forgotten to put the item back where I picked up from. So, I mentioned that apologetically to the person standing next to Danny (the counter attendant) that I forgot to put it back. She probably did;t even listen to what I was saying but said - "O - don't worry about it we will take care of it".

Yet, the very next thing she did was to help Danny scanning that item right from the cart. I realized she was mistaken and said "Excuse me - I was trying to say I forgot to place it back. I don't it".

This, apparently triggered something that I may never understand. This young lady (not Danny) suddenly became almost theatrical and exclaimed loudly saying - (I am trying to write it the way she enunciate the words...)
"ooOOOooo - you didn't WAAant this?! (Pause to turn away with the item in her hand and turned back to face me as she continued) THAaank you to briNG the item baaack to us rather dropping it on the floor". The sarcasm in her voice had stumped me and I was momentarily speechless as she walked off to drop the item in a cart to counters away.

I had to make myself go - pickup the item from that cart and proceeded to place it back in it's aisle location back in the store. As I was picking the item up from the cart, I heard her saying behind my back "ooOOOoo you want it back naaow?!" To which I said calmly said "No - I am going to put it back where I picked it up from".
I think she now realized that I was not happy - and exclaimed - "No no - you don't have to do that..." (no sarcasm this time). To that, I had to tell her "THAT was very rude" as I walked off and placed the item back to it's original location.

I admit this was the first time I was treated with such disrespect at Costco. Yet, I cannot let this go unnoticed and had to report it. I resisted looking for the manager right at the store and complain - to avoid over-reacting.

BTW: As I checked out I heard the young lady telling me "have a nice evening" to which I had replied "You too". I doubt any of us really meant it.

Costco cashier named orlando extremely rude

I am a long time member at Costco and usually visit Costco one to two times a week. I find that the customer service experience can rate anywhere between good to excellent. Today on 3/12/2016 at 2:02 pm, op#98 cashier name : Orlando R. at Costco located in Rego Park 61-35 Junction Boulevard, Ny 11374, was extremely rude and glared at me and my Father when I made an inquiry. He responded in a belligerent manner and was seemingly frustrated during the transaction. I suggest that the cashier be retrained in customer service skills, because at this time, he doesn't have any. Going to Costco should be a pleasant experience, not a lousy one.

Costco rude employee

I was at the Costco Tire Center at Clifton, NJ and wanted to get all my 4 tires changed. The name of the employee was Shanavya. I was enquiring about the total cost of tires and she wasn't so nice when she told me the prices; behaved as if I asked her for her social security no. Anycase she told me the cost of 2 brands and I asked what do you recommend or do you know what's a better brand. She immediately snapped at me and said I don't recommend brands and you have to choose... all this with an extremely rude and loud voice.
I don't expect this kind of behavior when I ask them for a suggestion. She could have said the same thing with a polite voice.
When I told her you don't need to snap at me, she goes this is how I talk and I am not here to give you suggestions. Am giving them business and she has the audacity to be rude.
