Jeff Davidson LIED! He said that they would take my timeshare for buying their timeshare. He said that they would offer it for sale for 6 months and if it didn't sell in that timeframe that they would "eat" their losses and just pay it off, but that I had to make payments for six more months. Well, 6 months later, I am still having to pay for my "Other" timeshare. When I called them they said that they do not do that, but that they did notice that I have it for sale on another site.

We were also told that we would be able to come every year and could work it to where that we could have FIVE weeks vacation there. Nope, the paperwork says it is a "Every Third Year Usage". He also led us to believe that the maintenance fees were $300~ every year. Well when you multiply that by three then you get about the same amount in fees that I pay the other timeshare.

No wonder he didn't give us OUR COPY of the paperwork until we were at the car to leave!

I will be seeing them in about 4 weeks! I will be LOUD! They won't be able to sell a timeshare that day.

We purchased a timeshare from Coral Resorts and were promised most weeks in the RCI resort directory were 7000 to 9000 points only to find out that is if you book thru the last minute deals where you have to book inside of 30 days which is useless to us due to the fact we have to plan further ahead than that.We were never told that to use our developers week which we were under the impression was a free week every year will really cost 750 to 1000 dollars a week due to a so called maintenance fee.YEAH RIGHT.We were lied to and we are going to protest ASAP with signs in front of the resort office on Hilton Head and also confront these people in there offices in a civil way by saying " you have ripped us off " What are you going to do now that the gig is up? " Those who want to join us would be welcome beacause we are all in this together its obvious this is a scam.We want our money back and we are willing to make theyre lives miserable until they stop ripping people off.We are going to make as much trouble for them as we can.Come join us in this protest.

In January 2011 we attended a time share sales presentation in Hilton Head SC. After hearing the presentation, we made it clear to the sales person, that we already owned three time share properties and that we were in no position, financially, to assume the burden of another. The salesman asked “what if we could take one of your existing ownerships off your hands?” We became very interested since we have a one bedroom unit in St. Martin, NA which is too cramped for us since we usually travel with another couple.
After taking the information about our Towers at Mullet Bay St Martin ownership, the sales rep informed us that the appraised value for resale of that property was around $13, 000 and that would more than cover the cost of the new Hilton Head ownership at Coral Resorts. After being assured that the St. Martin property at Towers at Mullet Bay was virtually guaranteed to sell, we entered into a purchase agreement for the timeshare at Hilton head.
We were promised that our St Martin property would sell within a period of 4-6 months at which time we could use the proceeds to pay off the Hilton Head mortgage. More than a year has passed and we have not received a single inquiry, much less, an offer for the sale of our timeshare in St Martin.
We have visited the website of Time Share Partners and discovered listings identical to ours at the same resort are asking significantly less than we are, and they are not selling.
The mortgage and maintenance at Coral Resorts represent a severe drain on our limited resources.
We feel that we were duped into an unrealistic expectation regarding the sale of our St. Martin time share for the sole purpose of inducing us to buy at Coral Resorts.

Just reading these above comments both pleased and infuriated me! Cannot believe there are such unscrupulous people in the world as these salesmen! The lies that were told to get us to "buy" were unbelievable... had ALL the same problems as above! At least we do not feel quite as foolish knowing there were others duped quite proficiently! We want to pursue further, but just need a little more time and energy.

That developer week must come with all timeshares - just so they can make MORE $$ off us by being forced to rent it at a fee to several entities.

We have had the same exact issues with this company. Shame on us for being honest people who expect others to be honest, right? We are retaining an attorney. I think if we all get together we may be able to convince the AG to take notice as well. Anyone willing to go that far?

We purchased one in May, and the guys (not mentioned), , told us that maintance fee should be around $450..Max! and it only goes up around $20, $30 a year..well, it's only been 3 mons and we now recieved a bill for the maintaince fee of :$975.00 . ? they're all Liars, that's how they get us..I wanna cancel it, but of course at the closing, we were required to put down 10% and that was $1400...I don't know what to do..help?

Similar experience. We had a triennial timeshare at Island Links with a developer week. Our old contract had a week listed and we were gold. Even though we had a week listed we could most of the year except summer and April because of the golf tournaments. We were told we could upgrade to a week a year and a booking company would buy our developer week each year. We were never told we would be limited to 11 weeks at only Coral Reef with the new contract. From the very beginning of the discussion we said we did not use RCI and had no desire to start using them again. We were told with the upgrade we could stay in any of the properties and we could book any weeks except summer and April. In fact Phil Lucchese said the next time we booked we should try the newer units at Island Links that have the screen porches or decks. We were told we might also like Port O Call or the Cottages. We were told a lot of people book their next years stay before they leave. The envelope with our paperwork had a unit number but did not have any of the properties checked which we thought meant we weren't limited to one location. So now we went from gold to bronze with weeks 1-8 and 48-50. Talk about misrepresenting what we were sold. I believe this is a violation of Chapter 27 of the SC General Statutes. You should read the violations section.

I as well dealt with Jeff Davidson and he lied to me and my wife as well. It is a mess that we are in, now with purchasing from them last september. He said that we would have no problem getting a week this Spetember down there and NOTHING is available. He also told us that we could get up to 5 weeks vacation there if we wanted, but this is not the case. Horrible!
