I bought a mobile home in Lincoln Park, west allis, owned by Continental Communities, IL
We thought the park would be a nice quiet park like it was advertised, but it was not. In the rules in regulations it said that they will not tolerate acts of drunkenness, or other immoral behavior, and that they did not allow loud motorcycles, mufflers, or music. At the park there was someone drunk yelling for their f’in food and phone all day during labor day, a couple arguing at all hours of the day and night, there were about 7 loud motorcycles and people going in and out at all hours of the day and night blasting their car radios and cars with loud mufflers.
The noise was unbearable. So we moved and the mobile home was put back up for sale.
You expect the park to be the way it was advertised and for the rules to be enforced/followed. What is the point of having them if they are not going to be enforced? Then when you move it is too bad.
When I decided not to keep the mobile home after all, I was told by Lincoln Park's manager, that when the mobile home sold I would get my money and the original owner would get hers. The park manager said that both of us had to be at the closing, and we both had to sign, and she would call and let me know when the mobile home sold.
When the mobile home finally sold, no one called me like they said they would. I had to find out on the Internet it sold. When we found out why, they said the agents for Lincoln park in steven’s point and continental communities didn’t let me know about the sale because they were mad I complained about the park and didn’t give the owner 30 days notice. No where did it say I had to do that. Especially since they said I was the legal owner of the home. They told the original owner she didn’t have to give me any money. So I went to a lawyer. No one wanted to talk to me about it until then. Then the agent for Lincoln park calls and says the owner wanted to settle, when she was not willing to, and they knew that, just so the agents for Lincoln park could be out if it, even though they were the ones trying to keep that money from me in the first place. How do you like that? Doing that just to be spiteful. Then they charged me 1700 for commission but the new owners only 850 so they could get a little more extra money. Too bad I didn’t know I was going to get married and be moving to cape cod before I bought that thing.

I've lived in a Michigan Continental Community for over 2 decades. Used to be very well kept and professional. Now, the usual is a large pile of broken asphalt thrown into an empty driveway and abandoned. I don't know who is coming in the mornings to add more to it, ie the park managers or random. Tried to call Continental several times, always tossed off. Things have gone from good to a mess in the last few years..

Tried to move from this mobile home park and it was not easy...charged for water for 2 months when no one lived there...added extra charges to final bill after serving me with small claims papers...lied to potential buyers of my mobile home by telling them it was not livable and being destroyed so they could try to charge me $3000 so they could destroy it themselves...had things stolen from my yard...when trying to settle up, manager became loud, abusive, the f word was used a lot by manager and the worse part...tried to blame a personal problem for her outrageous behavior and told me she wished I would have died last week so she didnt have to deal with me anymore...know sex and drug offenders on premises and there are a lot of children in the park...stay away from this park...they lie, steal and will try to squeeze every dime out of you...they seem to prey on senior citzens...take a drive thru the park and see all the empty lots and you will understand...
