complete carelessness & disregard
Complaint Rating:
I will never understand why DHL carriers refuse to ring the bell to deliver a package when we are very clearly here. I work at a law firm, so having them just throw packages on the front porch without letting us know they are here is not only frustrating, but could prove a liability if someone is sending us time sensitive or confidential information. We make a point of telling our clients not to use DHL to send documents.
Today, we received a shipment from a clothing store addressed to someone who does not live here, and who we had never heard of. The clothing company mistakenly put the wrong address on the package, so it came to us. Had DHL rung the bell, we could have told them this information and the package could have been sent back to the company. As it was, I had to take the time to track the company down through the yellow pages, call them, and now they are going to have to either call DHL to have them come pick it back up, or have the intended recipient drive down to our offices to pick it up. Why pay for a delivery service when you stand the same chance of success just tossing the package out the window and hoping someone coming by happens to see it and take it to the right person? Hopefully this illegitimate company's shoddy performances will add up and they will not be in business much longer...
