14 days is not enough time to react to the order to cancel and to be charged for products that were unauthorized. I tried emailing for an RMA and the email address is not recognized.

It is very disappointing to find out later to be snagged into this type of business. Customers should be warned about this company that does not honor refunds.

Hi Hannah,

You are correct. The Colonmate people are absolute scum and they're running a world class ripoff scheme. I had to go back to the original website that I ordered from to figure out what hit me. The only mention of being signed up for the monthly $79.98 robbery is in the "terms and conditions" that show up just before you ok the transaction. As you probably already know, the terms and conditions are generally reserved for the legalise that accompany most internet transactions. It's usually written in small print and can be quite long. Colonmate is well aware that just about nobody bothers to read that stuff because no reputable outfit would hide something in there that would cause a potential customer to run like hell. After I pointed this out to them in an email, they GRACIOUSLY agreed to refund $34.99 of my money (what they figured was the price of one of the two bottles of the stuff they sent me after charging my credit card for $78.98. It took them 3 weeks to refund that $34.99 to my credit card (they are in no hurry to give your money back). I was actually able to speak to an investigative reporter named David Lazarus at the Los Angeles Times. I tried to get him interested enough to go after Colonmate, but apparently they haven't ripped off enough people yet to merit his attention. I sent emails to several local TV stations, but got no reply.
