Cognizant offer letter not received

I appeared for an interview in Kolkata for Informatica, on 21st Jan 2018 and cleared 3 rounds of technical interview. HR discussion was also done on salary, joining etc. After that within a week I received 'Status under review' mail and a mail to upload photo. Next, exactly a month after the interview, in Feb 2018, I received a call from a guy named arul who informed me that I would receive offer letter within a week. Since then I am still waiting for it. Have trie contacting my POC, Sourakar Chaudhuri, he redirected me to another HR Keziah Wilson who never replies to mails or calls and my POC, and anyone I contacted is not from the relevant team. Absolutely unprofessional HRs. Also, the same guy Arul, called me this week again, from the same number and asked me about my experience details again. When I asked him about my previous interview he said he doesn't know as he had jus joined a month ago. So cognizant employees are liars as well.
Additionally a friend of mine appeared for interviews consecutively 5 times within a month or two and finally got letter on the 5th attempt. So apparently they don't even have interview records.Guess I should have just reappeared for the interviews as they keep sending mails every week but my POC keeps saying my profile is pending as there is no requirement.Fraud Company.

Cognizant offer letter not released.

Hi All,

I was selected in Cognizant on 21st April, 2018 for MSTR technology. After three rounds of interview I got selected and was told to wait for offer for 2 weeks but didnt get any mail. When I dropped them a mail regarding the same there wasn't any reply. They select candidates for nothing and waste their time and when any queries reagrding the offer is asked there is no reply.
Very unethical behaviours by these HR in Cognizant. It happened with me last year and I didnt recieve any offer letter. I have wasted around 6-7 hours with no use. Simply fooling people in name of interviews.
Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Same Scenario i also faced, I went in drive and there i was given two technical rounds successfully after that HR gave me form to fill, and I filled that. After two weeks i mailed to them even not getting any update regarding HR discussion and so on. They reply me in mail that they have rejected me because they don't have suitable requirement match to my profile. then why they have taken my interview all the information i mentioned on my cv. They run drive every weekend and just make fool to candidates and waste their time as well as money. So i am really disappointed with this fake drive.

Cognizant manager attitude

I am an employee of CTS, working as PA.
After making 2 year work, my manager... hell put low rating irrespective of doing all technical, documentation and hectic works.
I asked for release from the project but they denied. Atlast I put resignation losing all hopes, my manager is again compelling me to do her hectic works after questioning my genuinity and intrinsic feelings during my notice period. I am not given even the salary I am offered in my call letter. I just lost hope in this worst place doing with bloody people. I would rate it zero rating if I had a chance to do

Cognizant manager is mentally harassing and torturing me forcing me to quit

My Manager Aradip Barman is constantly harassing me mentally, I've been trying for a relocation to Gurgaon since 6 months because my fiancé stays there. First they were not ready to give me release approval at any cost for which I was unable to get any allocation in Gurgaon. Now that it's been 2 weeks I'm released and finally got a call from a Gurgaon opportunity, he is constantly forcing me to stay back and ruin my personal life and aspirations. Indirectly threatening me to terminate. He and my talent manager both have teamed up to harass me constantly.

You have obviously been scammed by some random person with a fake email. I work for CTS and there's no one called Dhanya Ruth. Morever Cognizant email always have the senders name followed by (Cognizant) in brackets to ensure authenticity.

Cognizant visa abusing companies are now getting awarded

In Illinois, Cognizant was awarded a $74.1 million contract in June to upgrade the state's Medicaid systems to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare.

In January, the District of Columbia awarded Infosys a $49.5 million contract to develop a health benefit exchange and replace its Medicaid and eligibility systems.

The state controls the hiring process for the project, said Jakubek, though she could not say whether it will require the contractor to exclude temporary visa workers from the effort.

Cognizant finally visa abuse is stopping

H-1B visa row: Dismal Indian students say USA no more a 'land of opportunities': LINK : http://www.newkerala.com/news/fullnews-229374.html
New York [USA], Feb. 24 : As uncertainty looms regarding the latest developments on approval of the H-1B visa, Indian students in the United States have expressed their concern about non-approval of a work permit, stating that the lack of clarity is only increasing their anxiety.

Under U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, there was a motion passed for more stringent laws to be implemented with regards to issuing H-1B visas to foreign nationals, which permit them to take up job in the States.

Earlier this year, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said India's concerns about the US' H-1B visa policy under the new administration have been conveyed to the US.

Swarup's comments came in the wake of the legislation mandating that the minimum salary of H-1B visa holders be increased to $130, 000 from $60, 000, was introduced in the US House of Representatives by Congressman Zoe Lofgren.

According to an Indian student pursuing Masters at the New York University (NYU), one of the biggest concerns is the proposed hike in minimum salary required to apply for an H-1B visa.

"Rumours have surfaced of an increase in minimum salary to be around USD 1, 30, 000. Most companies do not offer such a huge amount when it's your first job, whichever industry it may be. Filing visa applications during this financial year does not seem possible at the minute. Students and tourists will have to think twice before coming here, " the student told ANI here.

Echoing a similar opinion, another Indian student pursuing her Masters at Parsons School of Design claimed that with the current political situation, students are not likely to consider moving to the States to pursue their education or career.

"At this point in time, students are feeling more welcomed in countries like Japan, Australia and Canada. The stability being offered in these countries is being considered by students looking to study or work abroad, " she stated.

Earlier this week, the Department of Homeland Security released memos regarding the implementation of two of the President's executive orders, designed to protect the homeland.

These two memos provide explicit guidance to DHS staff on how to carry out two executive orders signed by the President on January 25th -- one dealing with interior enforcement and one with border security.

Trump had taken a hard line against illegal immigration during his campaign, at times suggesting he would seek to create a nationwide 'deportation force' to expel as many of the nation's estimated 11 million unauthorised immigrants as possible.

The new guidelines, intended as a road map toward implementing a pair of executive actions Trump signed last month, call for the hiring of thousands of additional enforcement agents, expanding the pool of immigrants who are prioritised for removal, speeding up deportation hearings and enlisting local law enforcement to help make arrests.

Experts say that if passed, the new visa legislation will make it very difficult for American companies to use H-1B visas to hire foreign workers, including IT professionals from India.

file petition here : http://www.petition2congress.com/7637/abolish-h1b-visa-program

H-1B program is flawed beyond repair. It should be abolished in favor of something smarter. Corporations have no place being immigration middle men. Immigration is about something much more pure and sacrosanct than corporate profits. It needs to be abolished in favor of permanent immigration as opposed to corporate sponsorship. Immigration should be limited to 5% of net job gains each year. In years when we have job loss, It should be restricted. Off course there will be more people would applying than we have openings for. Then acceptance should be based on first come first serve basis. The case is about economics and national interest, and has nothing to do with race. The reason H1B visa holders are so easily exploited is because of corporate sponsorship. Green cards in sustainable numbers would make them equal players in the labor market. An H-1B visa amounts to second class labor and corporate sponsorship gives companies leverage against American workers wages and salary. This hurts American workers directly and it hurts us as a nation indirectly.

http://www.livemint.com/Companies/dVICT93NclRCugMCbF89jL/Cognizant-gets-sued-over-H1B-visa-misuse.html

Updated: Wed, Jul 20 2011. 03 12 PM IST
New Delhi: After Infosys Ltd, Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. has become embroiled in a lawsuit in the US over alleged misuse of H-1B visas.
Eighteen employees of Molina Healthcare Inc., a Cognizant customer, have filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court alleging they were replaced by lowly paid workers from Cognizant, according to a news report by the Economic Times. The story was first reported by US-based magazine Computerworld last week.
The lawsuit, filed in April, contends that over the years Molina’s information technology (IT) department became dominated by Indians and US workers were marginalized.
In its response to the Economic Times report, a Cognizant spokesperson said, “It is Cognizant’s view that this lawsuit is without merit and we will vigorously contest it and pursue all legal remedies that may be available to us.”
US authorities have increased scrutiny of work visa applications recently and rejection rates have gone up significantly. There has also been a steep hike in the visa application fee.
This has emerged as a bone of contention between Indian and the US authorities. External affairs minister S.M. Krishna raised the issue with US secretary of state Hillary Clinton during her recent visit to New Delhi.
“I also took the opportunity to convey to Clinton the concerns of our IT companies in sending their professionals to execute projects and conduct business in the US. I highlighted that Indian IT companies are contributing to the US economy through investments, employment and supporting US competitiveness, ” said Krishna.
N. Chandrasekaran, chief executive of India’s largest software services exporter, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS), said on Monday that visa rejections have gone up and “what that means is we need to do lot more planning beforehand for the project.”
Infosys, India’s second-largest software services firm, found itself the target of a grand jury investigation by the US when one of its employees, Jack Pallmer, filed a suit against the company in February alleging it was bringing workers from India to work on business visas, which prohibits gainful employment

Cognizant reimbursement issue due to careless handling of uhc help desk

I applied for the reimbursement claim for my father's hospitalization.
My id is 617628.
Though I confirmed everything on coverage process before hand by doing multiple calls to UHC, at the time of reimbursement they removed all the charges which has put a huge financial burden on us due to their unprofessional behavior & wrong communication on the calls.

When I called them on the same, they even denied anything like that was discussed on call.
I even wrote them emails during hospitalization asking if those treatments were covered, but every time I got an absurd response as a standard reply & that too after waiting for days.
Hugely disappointed by their service & unprofessionalism. Even the customer care supervisor was too impolite to understand the concern & handle it.
I am looking for additional reimbursement which was stated to us.

Cognizant managers and harassment of female associates!!!

Cognizant is a cool company to work with. However most of the projects here are ruined by poor management. To get a better rating, to avail an emergency leave or even to get a release from the project you have to be in the good books of your manager. I feel sorry about my previous organization that despite this good infrastructure and technology diversity in the projects, the biased management never helps the deserved.

My manager used to suggest me that I should be customer supportive and used to praise me when he finds me working late in the support project, .But when there was a rating discussion and when I questioned about my unexpected appraisal..he blatantly told that he doubted my competency and that might be the reason why I am working late.He also shouts at ladies whenever we approach him with an issue.

And the worst thing he does is making PAs do his excel sheets and also exchanging his passwords with them, so that once he leaves PA will attend the call on him behalf.

I was working for an insurance project T*****. The management and their management tactics will surely have a bad impact on the organization as time flies by.
Also the approach to lady employees, especially if you are smart enough to stand up for your rights, believe me is at the heights of atrocity.

The management issues can be attributed to the following reasons:-

1. Managers who are technology illiterate and find themselves incompetent to the juniors who are well versed in technology.

2. Taking things personally and not professionally. 5 out 6 managers whom I worked with in Chennai used to take things very personally. Say if a resource requires additional help, training to make him competent for a role, ultimately that becomes the duty of the team lead to give yhe resource training in spite of doing his own work.

3.Most of the managers in Chennai do not have the guts to add the resource in cc when sending mails to clients...Whether u donyour work or your managers work, needless to say all credits goes to your manager!

4. The projects needs more architects and less non technical managers and only by this way we can channel the employee efforts in finding out more CSIs.

5. I used to work for a manager who had no value for his resources who were creame of creame...He literally lamented when each one of us left the project...

For the love of that Organization I humbly request the CEO educate the managers, some basic office etiquettes, technology awareness and all thoses which can lead to the betterment of the organization! !

Cognizant misleading last minute information about interview

I was shortlisted for an interview with CTS. They called me on 23.12.2015 to inform that I will be having a ninterview with Pune Funcmtional people on 24.12.2015 @ 2 PM. Ms Aarthi the caller told a detailed mail will be sent by Ms Lavanya describing the venue. But till 11.45 on 24.12.2015 I did not recieve and mail. All my attempts to contact Ms Arthi who spoke to me where in vain. The consultant who referred my resume to CTS was also reluctant to disclose the email ids or phone numbers of the HR people. Upon repeated requests he gave me the email id and I mailed to the concerned Aarthi. [protected]@cognizant, com at 11.40 immediately she sent a mail at 11.45. I am residing at Choolaimedu and I have to reach OMR by 1.45. Added to all the confusions a wrong door number was mentioned in the mail which made me go up and down in the road for nearly 30 mins. I was able to reach the venue only by 2.30. The HR person was not bothered for the wrong address and the mail did not have the Building Name at all.in the mail there was a note next to Golf village. This was the main confusion since there were two CTS offices on either side of the Golf village After a 30 min further delay the interview happened @ 3.00 pm and the first question the panel asked was about my delay. This think was the reason for me not being selected in the interview.

Cognizant "trainees pain & cry"

In a branch of cognizant in metukupam, located at premises of ASV suntech park the new job trainees suffer a lot with a high job time of 10.30 hrs a day with a weekly one day leave (Sunday).
According to international labour law, workers are not supposed to be treated after 8hours under their dissatisfaction or if with their satisfaction they have to be paid with an extra wage for extra working time.
Problems faced by them:
1.women:
Women trainees leave the campus by 7.30pm and they face teasings and fear to walk in their streets as they reach their house or hostels around 9pm.

2.other fellows:
Many people travel far to this office.some from 2 hours and even 3 hours. They face a lot of problems in transportation. Mainly women face a problem. Many girls working there are from siruseri and tambaram .They reach around 9-10 pm.

3.Stress:
There's a psychological study proved that human brain can be active to a maximum of 8hrs .Then how to sit in a chair for 10.30hrs .It violates the nature of job.

4.Health issues:
They suffer from Lumbago (low back pain), head aches, eyes itching and some girl problems with too much sitting irritation.

Fear of trainees:
As they are trainees they fear to approach their superiors that they ll be thrown out or locked by their failure in tests .They also fear to raise in gang or to write the issue to suggestion box.

To the notice:
If proper action not taken I would like to bring it to the notice of our honourable Chief minister Amma, J.Jeyalalitha in her web site "www.cmcell.tn.gov.in " as we all know she takes immediate action in public grievances.

So I kindly request the authorities to take proper action on this issue which gonna save women from danger and make them realize there exists a law .
Thank you

Cognizant misleading new joiners with incorrect job role and unethical hiring

Hi Friends, I am writing this incident so as to make aware for folks who are looking forward to join CTS (Cognizant) for specific accounts/projects. Please don't make your judgements/decisions based on this particular report, because its a particular case and may not happen to someone joining the same account.

It was 2014 starting I got an offer for one project in Tucson, Arizona (TEP client) from CTS. The hiring manager was Manish Agarwal, and the hiring HR was Abhishek Pandya. Please Please Please be aware if you are dealing with "Manish Agarwal" because he is the cunning one and mislead you with the job profile and hide giving proper details on what will be your job responsibilities. I would put in this way. His hunger for power and leading the things in his own way has made him so dominant that he has totally forgotten work ethics and can go to any extent to exploit resources. With due circumstances he has got the powers which he does not deserves and literally playing with lives of his fellow teammates and sometimes making horrible experiences for them.
He recently pulled his wife in the same account with fake ways and now both are making false impressions on client by showcasing their own work in different ways and blocking other team members growth.

I must say Karthik, his supervisor should understand this concern and stop him to exploit other fellow mates in any manner as this wrong and bring ill practices in the system.

All readers please be aware and investigate all aspects before you join the same. I am glad I am no more in this account and with CTS.

Cognizant extremely rude

I interviewed on campus with the company, had no issues. A week later I get an email saying the following day I would be interviewed at their headquarters in New Jersey. Within 5 minutes I replied that I had never received an email beforehand mentioning this interview, and I had class and exams that day. I never received a reply, and even when I sent an email later the original employee never replied. Essentially, they invited me to an interview, which was on accident, and rather than reply he just ignored me. Finally I started emailing other people until one explained to me it was a mistake, almost 10 hours after the original email.

From the ### experience, the new person basically apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. Sure, that's reassuring, a guy crushed me mentally by inviting me to an interview for something I was no longer considered for, and if I had wasted an hour and a half driving there, I would have completely wasted my time. It takes a special kind of ### to do something like that and not admit the mistake. To this day the original guy has not replied to any of my emails.

Cognizant forcing employees to streatch late night

I need to bring this concern about women employees in Cognizant(UBS), Hyderabad and seek your suggestions. Some projects/accounts are ignoring the serious concerns of women associates and ladies are being forced to work in night shift or do the over time till mid night. Specially, OTC Margin Project is harassing the ladies employees even if they are having serious health issues or pregnancy. Ladies are simply forced to work in night shift or stretch till late night even if they finish their work on time. Celebrating only Woman’s Day and Mother’s Day is not enough if they do not take care of such concerns. Can you please advise me where to raise this issue? Thanks for your help!

First try raising this with the HR. There must be an HR alias which is sent to multiple people at mulitple levels. Keep as many people in the loop as possible

If there is no response, then create your own 'path'.

I'd suggest get an informal meeting, get all the women to join a forum or have a meeting or mass 'drive' arranged to voice your concerns. You can do this in the cafeteria or any large meeting room. Surely, you are using Outlook Exchange. So getting a meeting request sent to all will not be a problem.

This kind of employer attitude is unacceptable and needs to be taken up.

It is extremely important that you voice your concern and collectively doing this will have maximum impact. All the best!
