Honda CRV
In February 11, 2010 I leased a Honda CRV from Coggin Honda at 11003 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. I leased it for 3 years, payments of $365.85 monthly. After that time I decided to purchase the vehicle. The dealership told me that since I have an outstanding record and was never late nor missed any payments they could give me a 2.99 APR. The finance person said I would make $265.15 monthly due on the 11th of each month. They said it would be a total of 6 years. I said "total " he answered "total ". Therefore, I assumed it would include the 3 years I already paid.
Shortly after I received a payment booklet from PNC Bank with the last payment being February 11, 2016. When I paid the very last payment which I did at the beginning of the month I waited 2 weeks and called PNC Bank to ask for a letter or title showing that this was paid in full. That was when Linda Egan of PNC Bank informed me that I had another 3 years of payments and that was what I signed and agreed to at Coggin Honda. I told her that was ridiculous that I already made 6 full years of payments. She said that it didn't matter that was what I signed. I said I wanted a copy of all payments made and the total. All Linda Egan sent me was the payment contract I signed. I was never sent any additional payment books and never received any letters from her or PNC Bank whatsoever.
If I was to go on paying for another 3 years this car would have cost me over $32, 000, which is an exorbitant price to pay for a very simple Honda CRV without any extras.
When I called Coggin Honda to find out what was going on they told me that was what I signed and it is a legal and binding contract. When I stated it sounded like a crooked scam to me Sergiy Bilayev told me that if I accused them of anything like that again he would hang up on me. When I continued to say that it was just plain thievery, he in fact hung up on me.
I am an old lady, writing to you today with the hope that I might be able to seek justice and rectify this abomination.
New car
on 7-25 I went with my cousin to buy a new car. We went to this dealership, test drove a civic and a accord. The sales guy did not let us test drive the cars until he drove them for about 15 minutes then he gave my cousin the keys. We go inside to get the papers started on the accord...before he did anything the sales guy said it will be 500+ a month in payments... UM>>>I dont think so...He began to argue with me..this is before he even ran a credti check or anything so I asked him how does he know what the payments are going to be with out checking credit first? He argues with me again...gets another sales man to argue with me...So we left.
Aren't they there to help sell cars?
So we go to another Honda dealership...get AWESOME service...my cousin walked out with a accord for 300/month.
not to mention that this dealership was 2000 cheaper on the sticker then Coggin Honda. that was on all the cars on the lot..I checked.
So if you want to get treated like crap and pay more go ahead to Coggin Honda.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
