Seems we made a bad choice!!!

We had taken membership of a Red Studio in January 2008 and paid Rs. 41, 880 (Rupees forty-one thousand eight hundred and eighty only) towards the initial payment. Subsequently some of the terms of the special offers that were verbally conveyed to us at the time of registration were not honoured by MHRIL, namely the following:

The 2-weeks international holiday offer through RCI for travel at any time within 2 years, with a minimum of 3 days' stay at any one destination. It is now described to be "not valid for travel during peak school vacations and festival periods", with minimum 7 days’ stay at any destination.
Subsequently the offer was randomly downgraded to 2-weeks ClubMahindra domestic holidays instead of the international holidays offered earlier.
The special offer of 6 free Air Deccan tickets, on which we have been subsequently asked to pay all taxes and fees amounting to over Rs.2000 per ticket, while the understanding was that the tickets were completely free, as specified by MHRIL executives.
A prolonged exchange of emails ensued and MHRIL promised to meet us in person, which also was not done. A complete silence on emails or any other communication is being maintained by MHRIL since the Company’s last email dated 16th February, asking to meet us.
This had left us feeling cheated, with the belief that ClubMahindra does not honour the commitments made at the time of booking membership, and secures members under false pretences. We therefore requested MHRIL on March 1, 2008 to cancel our membership and give us a full refund immediately. The same was acknowledged by their call centre (cancellation reference no. 639488), and we were promised a full refund within 30 – 45 days.

No communication was received by us subsequently despite reminders, and 45 days are over. A complaint (complaint ID 138608) has now been registered against MHRIL with the National Consumer Helpline.

I received an email today where they have outright refused to refund any money at all.

we agree with above attitude of club mahindra.
My experince is similar I also anted to complaint against club mahindra and withdraw my money. can I get address where to complaint

We are having a similar problem and MHRIL have taken Rs 60000/- from us. We had been promised a Holiday in June and planned it with our kids. And on the last day they said they don't have any rooms in any of their Resorts. Imagine our plight, takn off from work, kids all set for a Holiday and in the last minute CLub Mahindra says "No Rooms". The mental agony we went through with the kids. Worse, , as it was a peak season, we could not go out anywhere for a Holiday. Kids Holidays were completely wasted, and so was ours.
When we contacted the higher ups for Refund, they are talking about Terms of Contract etc etc and plainly refused Refund.

Can someone tell me where to knock and how to get our money back? It is really frustrating interacting with them. You write 5-6 times, and they would respond once with no real solution.

Hi, even I have gone through some very bad experience with Club Mahindra. They are just money-suckers. I applied for cancellation of membership withing 10 days of paying the Admission Fees. They just give you false promises of returning your money, and they dont. I have spent numerous sleepless nights bcoz of these people.

I have gone through numerous consumer complaints about them, but what is finally happening out of it? What is the solution to all this? If u know, can you please advise me where to go next to get my money back? They must be taught a good lesson for duping consumers like this.

This is the 02nd time I have to write for the same issue. Last time I wrote, I received a reply asking me to send few details which I did but the same thing like the customer service desk- no reply.

Above-mentioned is the reference number which I had received. My Manali tour is over without receiving any stay from you people. I do not know if you people really take care of your customers.

Atleast a reply should be sent to the customer's message.

I applied for stay through Club Mahindra and did not receive any response for a long. Later was informed that the validity has expired. I wrote a scrap on the website and received the following reply :

"Greetings from Club Mahindra!
Thank you for your mail.As you know, all of us at the Member Relations Department are here to assist you with your queries and complaints.
With regard to your mail, pertaining to redeem your gift voucher, we request you to send us the scan copy of the same to enable us to do the needful.
Thank you once again for giving us the opportunity to be of service to you.
If you have further queries, please do mail us to feedback@clubmahindra.com ( for reservations please do mail us to reservations@clubmahindra.com ), all of us in the Member Relations Department are here to assist you with your queries and suggestions.
Warm regards"

When I replied to the above-mentioned E-Mail, I did not receive any reply. Again, I forwarded my reply, and to my surprise I received the following reply :

"Greetings from Club Mahindra!
Thank you for your mail. With reference to your mail we would like to inform you that the validity of the gift certificate is for 6 months only hence we are unable to extend the validity of the certificate as the same has already been expired.
Thank you once again for giving us the opportunity to be of service to you.
If you have further queries, please do mail us to feedback@clubmahindra.com ( for reservations please do mail us to reservations@clubmahindra.com ), all of us in the Member Relations Department are here to assist you with your queries and suggestions.

Now this was my 01st request that I did not receive the stay and later was informed that the voucher had expired. If you people have to inform the same thing, why did you ask for the scanned copy.
Do you people understand what the customer has mentioned initially. Asking for the scanned copy of voucher to inform the same which was informed long back akes no sense.

THANK YOU FOR ASKING THE SCANNED COPY OF THE EXPIRED VOUCHER TO INFORM THAT IT HAS EXPIRED AS IF I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO READ THE VALIDITY OF THE VOUCHER. TO MAKE IT CLEAR, IT WAS VALID AT THE TIME WHEN I HAD APPLIED.

VALIDITY - 03rd NOVEMBER TO 03rd MAY.
APPLIED ON - 05th APRIL.
