CitiMortgage mortgage, modification

My name is maria, my loan #[protected] for over two yrs and payments $1901.
Back in may, 2017, I had applied for modification to lower my payments, and supposedly it was approved and was told that my first payment was on july 1st for $1295 by melinda bennett, which now she is no longer with citi & just to find out that the payments were 1901, higher than my actual payments. I got behind cause I was told to pay in july, 2017. After that my acct has being a mess. Between mary j bencon and ramon a goodman, I felt discriminated, insulted and disrespectful the way they treated me and spoke to me. They told me that if I can afford my house to sell it or give it back to the bank. I have worked so hard in this country and have a family for them to talk to me like that. If they do not know how to talk to people and give a good customer service, they are in the wrong place of work. I need those conversation to be escalated it and some one to call me so we can try to bring my account current. Now since I have being behind two months, $3724.88, my credit score from 700 now is 591 or 519 which is a big drop. No one wants to lend me money so I can be current with my credit mess up, thanks to citimortgage

CitiMortgage difficulty in surrendering house

Regarding loan # [protected]
1949 Westfield Dr N
Columbus OH 43223

Jeanne A Spears

Its probably easiest if I just copy and paste what I emailed our congresswoman:

Greetings. I am writing on behalf of my friend Jeanne Spears. She will be 87 in 2 weeks. She moved to senior housing on March 1, 2017. At that time she surrendered her home of 40 years back to Citi Mortgage as she does not have the means or money to manage the home. She has provided all requested documentation (90 pages of faxed documents) to finalize this transaction and they keep requesting the same info over and over again. They have passed her case to 5 different reps since March and they all start from the beginning. This feels like harassment and it is taking its toll on Jeanne's health. Can your office staff do anything to help get this situation settled? She is trying to surrender her house at 1949 Westfield Dr. Columbus OH 43223. She is caught in a perpetual cycle of Citi Mortgage dysfunction. Thank you in advance for your help!
Sincerely, Beth Mitchell; [protected]@columbus.rr.com; [protected]; 31 S. Sylvan Ave, Columbus OH 43204

Clients received the same notice even though mortgage payments are current. Citimortgage contend that it was a computer glitch with their accounts and correction letter is being sent out on 8/11/17. The customer service number on the mortgage servicing side is out of order: [protected]--which is very poor considering the level of confusion that the erroneous notice is causing numerous customers. You can reach a live person at [protected] To confirm the error. You might want to monitor your credit report in the next few months to make sure they did not also erroneously report the account as delinquent.

CitiMortgage mortgage loan fraud. acc # [protected]-3

Despite once Trustmaker, Martha L Albino's intent to have an Irrevocable Trust dissolved and hire of attorneys, an Irrevocable Trust with property, Borough: Q, Block: 07171, Lot: 0005 used for initial funds, the falsely positioned as dissolved Irr Trust by way of her then Attorney, Peter Chang (who reviewed two Trusts and subsequent legal documents of past lawyers, and who improperly/ illegally circumvented QC measures when performing property title name change) and who then represented CitiMorgage's as holder/ issuer of loan.

Because CitiMorgage is the mortgage lien holder, it's imperative all parties be inform of account discrepancies. Discrepancies between Martha and family, The Department of Finance, Queens Surrogate Court, two additional Law Firms, and Title Insurance Agencies.

As of now, there's strong reason to believe CitiMorgage has issued a mortgage to an applicant w/o right, title, or interest in the income, or incidental ownership.

It's VITAL an investigation start.

CitiMortgage overcharges on home loan

For a few years now, I have been sending letters to CitiMortgage questioning the overcharges on my account. I have been given no less than five (5) addresses to which the data and complaint letter should be sent. Each time, it is returned with out acknowledgement that anyone has even read the letter. Let alone, looked at the data compiled on the file.

I am attaching that data.

CitiMortgage tax department

My mortgage account number is [protected]. I always submit my tax bills to the Tax Department in Fort Worth, TX, since they are sent directly to me. In 2016 we had an addition to our home and there were several interim tax bills sent to me, which I forwarded to the Tax Department. I kept getting notices that they were not paid and this month I received a notice from the County Tax Claim Bureau with an additional fee of $50. I called the Tax Department to find out what the problem was and why these bills were not being paid. I was told that these bills, since they were interim tax bills were to be paid by me! This was the first I heard of this after sending letter after letter and bill after bill to the Tax Department. No one called to tell me this months ago and explain this to me. I would have been happy to pay the bill myself if I had known. I don't know what they did with my letters and bills--did they just throw them away? During this conversation the woman I spoke to tried to tell me that my tax bills were sent to them electronically anyway. I told her they were not and she argued with me and insisted I had a conversation with someone from their office in July of last year, which never happened! I have a letter from February 12, 2016 requesting the original tax bills be sent to CitiMortgage from you because the taxing authority will not accept a copy of the bill for payment. I sent the original to CitiMortgage on March 15, 2016 when I received the statement.
I am extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service and I am forwarding these interim bills to the Tax Department for payment, however, I do not wish to be charged the $50 fee. I feel that CitiMortgage should pay this fee, since they are responsible for not telling me upfront that I was supposed to pay this bill after I sent them numerous letters.

CitiMortgage mortgage account escrow disclosure statement

I received an updated escrow account disclosure statement dated 1/26/17.

This statement reflected an escrow shortage that would increase my mortgage payment by $506.00 per month.

When I called to question this 30% increase, I was told that last year's analysis incorrectly. Basically I was told that the analysis calculated my insurance policy to be 108.81 per YEAR.

Now, the new analysis caught the mistake and wants to penalize me for their inaccuracy.

A 30% increase in my mortgage payment will bankrupt me. While it is fair to say that this mistake went unnoticed by myself or Citimortgage it is not justifiable to go back and charge me at this point.

It is ludicrous to penalize a customer for a mistake made by the company.

CitiMortgage wrongful foreclosure in 2010 due to negligence by citimortgage

Our home was wrongfully foreclosed in 2010 due to negligence on citimortgage'e part. While going through the process of a loan modification, which started in 2008, (i would like to comment that I was told by a citi representative we would have to be at least two months behind on our mortgage payments before a loan mod could be started) there was a continual cycle of lost documents, our account was not update accordingly with any information. The first trial payment period (Tpp) was started, no information was updated, I would receive notices of my loan in default, several phone calls on my part (I have a phone log which spans over two years) monthly, there would be no information regarding any modification. Second tpp was started, again default notices were sent, still no information regarding any modification. Twice I sent complete file of financial information requested by citi, no documentation in our account file. Citi states our modification was approved in may of 2009, I never received this document, if this is true, why after several months of this alleged approval did I continually get told there was nothing regarding a loan mod. November 2010 we were forced out of our home! To top it all off, three months after the foreclosure and auction of our home, I received yet another call from citi rep stating my loan was in default, and would I like them to assist! Now if this isn't validation that proves my home was wrongfully foreclosed, and citimortgage is at fault.
I am currently still trying to get resolution from citi, and yes I still get no response from anyone, I actually had a rep tell me I would need to send financial documents, she had no idea my home was foreclosed!
You tell me, what is wrong here.

CitiMortgage customer service refusal to rectify my issue with my heloc

I applied for a heloc in september. I applied at the commack branch with laurie gentile. Anytime I emailed or called her, it took her days to get back to me. When my application went to the loan processor, the incompetence continued. I sent in everything they asked for and wasn't hearing anything for weeks. So I would call and she would tell me that my application was being held up because I needed to hand in a certain document... A document that I already submitted! This happened several times. Finally the loan was ready to close in december. At the closing, I set up auto deduction and confirmed with laurie that my rate for the first year would be prime minus 0.51%. After receiving a statement in the beginning of january saying my rate was 3.75% (Which is prime) , I emailed laurie and she told me that my rate was 3.75 - 0.51% for the first 12 months. I calle customer service today to find out why the payment wasn't auto deducted, and they told me to wait until the end of the business day (Still not auto deducted). I asked for them to make sure auto deduction was set up and I was told they've don't have access to see that. Then I asked about my rate. I was told my rate was 3.75%. I explained to the customer service representative (Reece) that there was supposed to be a 0.51% reduction in the rate and that I have an email from citibank confirming it. She told me she had no way of seeing that in the account and there was no one who would be able to look it up. I asked her who was I supposed to speak to so that this could be rectified and no matter how many times I asked, her response was "we don't see that on the account. " obviously she didn't understand my question. Citibank is a horrible bank! I don't have the time or energy to go into the problems i've had dealing with the back for my checking account. Do not do business with them. Every person I have told with is completely incompetent!

CitiMortgage refinance of existing mortgage, stuck with title company no assistance from processing team

I have had my refi'd mortgage with Citi since 2009. When I opted to refinance to a 15 year mortage, the Title company has an "issue" on the lien, stating that the builder of the home had a 7MM loan from 1997 (which is impossible, since my house was built in 2001... the lien is for the 130 land units the builder bought from the land developer in 1994). I have sent all information I have, including pulling the Lenders original Loan Insurance. Despite me having done all the legwork (something the title company should have done), they are not returning my calls, and I will shortly fall out of my interest lock. I have requested another title company (which they should pay, $700), but not receiving any response -- despite regular calls earlier for all the information CITI required.

Do NOT do business with these guys moving forward:
Title Clearing Department
Mortgage Information Services
4877 Galaxy Parkway Ste I
Cleveland, OH 44128

.. waiting to see if CITI will respond before I take add'l action.

CitiMortgage loss drafts department

On 7/28/16 we experience a hail storm that damaged our house, property and cars. Allstate was responsive and quickly provided us the funds to repair the cars, house and personal property. The check for the house, out buildings and personal property was also made out to CitiMortgage. We endorsed the check and sent it to CitiMortgage Loss Drafts Department to be co-signed and the funds released for the repairs. That is when the nightmare started. We immediately received a packet of information and forms that needed to be submitted for reimbursements. The insurance paperwork and funds where for everything from a new roof for the house, window replacements for the house, mailbox and cosmetic damages to outbuildings and a rustic cedar split rail fence. The only way it appears to have any of our money released from CitiMortgage is to hire one contractor to submit all the paperwork, complete all the repairs, including replacing the split rail fence. I have requested two exceptions, one to release the funds for the personal property (Fence, mailbox, outbuilding) that will not be repaired and are not part of the main building. And one to pay for the roof replacement that has already been done and paid for. Contractors really do not care about Citi's "process" they want to be paid. I could fault the Insurance company for lumping all this into one check however you think a large company such as Citi would understand how home repairs are done. Since it's winter in Colorado the house will not be painted until Spring. In this case Citi will not release the funds for the roof until the contractor paperwork for all the repairs are submitted. They even want me to replace a rustic cedar split rail fence that has cosmetic damage that will be erased by a year of weathering. They also told me I am not permitted to do any repairs myself. I cannot even replace my own mailbox, paint a shed, it's all or nothing. And as they stated this is dictated by the government, not true! There is an exception process to release funds, however it seems to take weeks. When you call for an update, you talk to a front line help desk that can read the notes from your case. For any details you need to talk to another person and they can submit exceptions. Exceptions go to a committee that has the ultimate say and that you never get to talk to directly. Suffering the loss of the storm and dealing with the insurance company has been an absolute pleasure (Allstate has been fantastic to work with) compared to the experience with Citi Loss Drafts Department. If you do question Citi on these practices they will say it's all dictated by the government. This is 100% false and thee are all Citi's practices. Neighbors that have had the same damage have had their funds released allowing them to perform the repairs.

HOWEVER there is a silver lining to this dark cloud. I did ask the Citi Loss Drafts Department how long it would take them to release the funds if the mortgage was paid off. They indicated it would take 5 days. I went to a local Credit Union asked them if they have mortgages they keep and do not sell. They have a series of loans that have zero closing coasts they keep and do not sell on the open mortgage market (did not want to end up at Citi again). We were able to lower our percentage rate (4.2 - 3.9), keep the same monthly payment and reduce the number of remaining years on our mortgage. Normally a drop of .3 percent is not enough to refinance, but with the no closing costs and the stress CitiMortgage was causing us getting our home repaired, this was a no brainer.

My suggestion, if your reading this and have multiple repairs to be performed on your home and the insurance check is made out to you and CitiMortgage. Immediately start to refinance. You will be able to get the needed funds to repair your home quicker by refinancing and in 5 days having the funds returned to you versus following the process that is required by CitiMortgage Loss Drafts Department.

BTW it was Air Academy Federal Credit Union. Fantastic people to work with!

CitiMortgage bankruptcy and customer service department acct#[protected]-8

On Nov 2, 2016 I requested a payoff I was told it would take 7-10 days and would be mailed to me . On day 7 Nov 9th 2016 I contacted them and the person I spoke with told me She could fax it to my lawyer in 2 business days I said fine. But then she asked what date did I want the payoff for, which sent up a redflag for me because if the payoff had already been requested she would have already known the answer to the question. 11/11/16 Today I contacted my lawyers office to see if they received the fax from CITI they said no.. I called CITI I spoke with 6 different people person1- ID#RW97847 customer service who had me explain my problem only to tell me she couldn't help me so I asked to speak with a supervisor- Georgia in the escalation dept again explained she said she would send a message to the Bankruptcy Department and she put me on hold when she returned to the phone she said she couldn't get in touch with ID#KT62561 she said but she did speak with her supervisor and they were also trying to get contact with her. I asked could someone call me back when they knew when the payoff would be sent. I was told no because they were allowed to make outbound call. I asked how could I find out when the payoff would go out she never gave me an answer. I asked for the Bankruptcy department phone number866-613-5636 I spoke with ID#ME03670 again explained the problems I asked to speak with a supervisor she transferred me ID#NH282449 who was also in the escalation dept. I explained to her that I had already spoken to someone in her department, I explained to her what had gone on sine 11/2 she put me on hold for about 15 minutes came back and told me she reached ID#KT62561 in the bankruptcy department who said it would take 7 business days to get me the payoff, I asked seven days from when she said from the date of the request. I said the original request was 11/2/16 she said no from 11/9/16. I told her this is unacceptable since I made the request on 1/2/16 . She said she understood but the person who make the original request didn't do it correctly. I said so I have to suffer for that person mistake. She said there was nothing she could do. As a result of CITI's mistake my bankruptcy is now being delayed and may cost me hundreds of dollars to refile.
All I want is the payoff amount I requested on 11/2/16 before 11/21/16 when I was told I would receive it.

PLEASE PLEASE NEVER USE CITI MORTGAGE THEY ARE LIARS!

CitiMortgage pinocchio's of all bank

Misapplied my payments in 2007. Post it not exempting account. After we settled with them for $29, 000. They found the check my bad I had to pay the attorney's fees.. 2010 I kept having a $3, 000 deficit kept asking why I owe $3, 000. They said I gave them a $26, 000 check. Took them 2 years and 48 counselors 56 heart shaped cases packages. They finally found the $29, 000 check. They did me a favour a loan modification I owed $52, 000 so they wrote my loan modification for $72, 000. Told me we would discuss it and fix it but it was important to sign the loan modification now. So I did. Now that I went and tried to go back the loan modification they misapplied payments or they put it in an unidentified unmarked unnamed a payment that was associated with my account they sent me a letter that none of my payments showed up on. Then they took me to bankruptcy again to keep my house I did chapter 13 period started to pay them they said I was $23, 000 in the rear. We agreed on it a week later they came back with another 15, 000 and raise my payments to 3 - 500. Then they found another additional $10, 000 I was behind so they are raised my house payment plus at 576 surcharge on the side. I was still praying in April the last payment they got because I was doing it over the phone and getting a confirmation notice period all the sudden they decided they wanted me to mail the payment center. Guess what they must apply these payments and can't find it so then if you send them another check out they send them out through so that makes your account balance and it looks like you gave them a bad check. When I asked them for the account Ledger unidentified unnamed or whatever extra account that's connected with my account Ledger that is not available.. so I've got about $30, 000 in the payments that they don't know where they are but I've got canceled checks and they say oh well I still am now more than what I did when I bought the house. Let's just call him Pinocchio God knows we need the wood to build the houses that they steal from you

CitiMortgage credit status

In July of 2011 my husband was having an affair, left our residence & decided to let our home go into foreclosure status. We were divorced in February of 2012. This is now 5 years later & I recently applied for a credit card to pay off medical bills & I've been denied because of this CitiMortgage issue. I have a significant amount each week withdrawn from my paycheck that goes directly to a collection agency. I would like to get a credit card, pay off the medical bill, & not the collection agency. How can this be removed from the records or does someone reiterate to take care of this matter immediately?

CitiMortgage home loan

We initially applied for a re-finance on July 21st 2016. They were told up front that we had a bankruptcy in 2012 and they said we could probably still do it. We had our current mortgage with them and thought it would be easier.
We paid $525 for an appraisal and application fee and sent in all the documents they asked for. They have an online site to check on status of your loan and finally they set a closing date for Sept. 7th. Then they postponed it to Sept. 16th. We sent an email asking why and then they said underwriters needed some more documents and that we would close on Sept. 30th.
For the next 2 weeks they would not return our calls or emails but checked their website and it said the closing date was Oct.23rd which is a Sunday.
That's when we knew they weren't going to do our loan.
We received a formal letter on Oct. 6th saying they won't do our loan because of the bankruptcy AND unacceptable payment record on mortgage
which is a blatant lie. They wasted over 2 months of our time and took $525 dollars. This was by far the worst experience we ever had. They don't care about you in the least and just see you as a loan number. Stay far away from these corrupt creeps

CitiMortgage customer service, payments.

Submitted a payment, there were nsf at the time the cu received it for payment. Same day, called citimortgage and made an on phone cc payment, explained to the rep what had happened. I asked repeatedly if citimortgage was going to resubmit the check for payment. Assured that would not happen. Now I have received 2 additional nsf notices because citimortgage resubmitted the check 2 additional times. Called customer service at citimortgage spoke to a "manager" who spoke broken english, and did not understand what I was asking for - a payment for the nsf fees -. Found out I was talking to her ("manager") in the philippines. Not pleased with that or the service I received. Called again to the corporate office, got another representative from the philippines, to him I wanted to speak to someone from the us. He said he'd transfer my call - he was very pleasant - got another rep and I asked for a manager. She connected me - to 'another "manager" in the philippines.

CitiMortgage property values negatively impacted by over 5 1/2 years of lack of action

Citimortgage is responsible to the community & neighborhoods in which is provides mortgages. Since 10/31/2010, the property at 8580 Shuman Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45231 has sat vacant. Over 5, 000 honey bees have been extracted from the wall spaces & floorboards in the property, raccoons have been seen crawling in & out of soffits, & ceilings have caved into the property. Water lines have been compromised and there is mold in the basement. The property is beyond repair and in such bad shape that even the Department of Housing and Urban Development refuses to take control of the property citing that it is beyond saving let alone attempting repairs. The township where it is located is willing to utilize a good neighbor program to further prevent the decay & harm of property values in the area however the mortgage company continues to cite privacy laws. The previous owners are no longer listed on the mortgage and the property has been conveyed to the mortgage company. Our family and our neighbors are negatively impacted by not only it's daily blight but also on the values of our homes. We ask, that after 67 months, that Citimortgage convey the property to Springfield Township and do what is right. What is right is to mitigate further loss of value and actually help enhance our neighborhood.
