Scam free credit report
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 4 votes
I went online for what I thought was a simple Free Credit Report for $1 and I have almost $100 charged to my bank statement, of which CIC charged me for signing up. I called them and they refuse to offer any refunds as they say I agreed to the charges. DON'T USE THEM!

Im in the same boat.. i thought that I was getting a free report for a $1.00 and they have been taking 12.95 form my account for a few months. Ive tried calling numerous times and now Im going to call my bank and also call a lawyer. DOnt trust this.. You will not get your money back. Keep trying to cancel. They will get a lawsuit if they dont.

I can't believe that Experian is the parent company. I never sign up for anything for a 30 day trial because I tried it once when I was younger and it was a hassle to cancel. Obviousley, they do not make it clear on the website that you will be charged 14.95 PER FREAKING MONTH. They don't just screw you once, they come back and screw you until you notice it on your bill. I didn't see it anywhere on the webpage and I never authorized any charges. They are leading you to believe you will get a credit report for $1, then Experian says, "Got ya"

I also thought that this was a FREE service. Shame on all of us for thinking something so outragous. But for some customer service tech parked over in India telling me that I offered up my credit card number, that is unexceptable. This rip-off company stole this credit card number from somewhere. I'm not finished with them just yet.

I cannot cancel my account. It was supposed to be a FREE credit report, but I am being charged $14.95. When I call them, their computer seems always to be down, and they cannot cancel my account. I never wanted to open an account with them, just wanted my FREE CREDIT REPORT.
This is a SCAM!

All of the above statements apply to my complaint. It was not clear about the amount to be charged, etc. I called and was told the $14.95 would be credited back to my account. Nothing showed as being credited so I again called them today, May 13. I was told that this amount would not be refunded due to not calling in an given time. This was not told me when I went on line. Mine is nearly identical to Lois Willick. The company is certainly a rip off and something is going to be done about the situation. I want my
$14.95 refunded and refunded now. What a disgrace to the human race for such false companies to be allowed to operate.
