Unauthorized charges!
Complaint Rating:
I used this company once to obtain my credit report. I ad said it was free. After that I have been receiving charges on my credit card. I used this company only one time. I should not be charged anything.
They have been charging since last December 06. I have called them every month and it continues to charge my acct $12.95. What a nightmare??? This is unbelievable and what a rip off. Please advise??? Something has got to be done to stop this scam???
this is stupid and its a rip off i thought it was free becaouse thats what it said then i look on my card acoount and there was a charge i could not believe this this company has alot of complaints they should just close it
If the company is FreeCreditReport.com here is some info that may be helpful. Get a Pen!!! The CEO is Brett Rossman. His address is 2381 Rosecrans Ave Suite 336, Elsegundo, California. Phone # 310 297-9233 Fax # 310 297-9235. You can go online to: BBB Los Angeles, California and get the info or to file a complaint. It is terrible that the web site doesn't provide a better avenue to discontinue the service he provides. My opinion is he is very evasive and tries to get peoplr frustrated by running you around the internet trying to get to him. Here is the best advice: If he continues to deduct the money out of your account go to the bank or credit card company and close the account and that will be the red light that stops it for good!!! Happy hunting and share this info please cause not everyone is as tenatious as some of us!!
I was also charged 14.95 and I called em up. Its says in black and white in a box next to the free credit report button. that if you do not cancel you will be billed for a membership, so call and cancel.
I used this service once, and now am being charged a monthly fee. These fees have totaled $334.70 in 2007. I continue to be charged $11.95 every month. In addition, I requested my credit report, which should have been free, but CIC*ce Credit Ma charged $44.95 on December 11, 2007, and on January 1, 2007. The name of the company is not consistent. At times it is CIC*Ce Credit (Jan-2-2007-Oct-29-2007), Cic*Ce Credit Ma??? (Nov-11-2007 to Nov-30-2007, and Mni*Creditreeport (Jul-16-200-Oct-16) and Mni*Creditreport(Jan--17-2007 to Dec-18-2007). I was charged twice in December 2007--Dec-16 and Dec 17.
Instead of posting this for all to read, we should advocate a Class Act Suit with the States Attorney General to shut these "scam companies" down. If you are interested, we can hire an attorney and that attorney would represent all parties involved. Believe me once they are informed, every one will get paid their money back. But you got to be willing to be strong and get this done.
