THANK YOU! I have been searching for this company that I used back in 2006, who has charged my account every month $11.95. Finally I came to this site and dialed this number: 1-866-369-0423 which someone had posted and finally spoke to an actual person who canceled my account with them. These companies are very tricky..they have ended up taking about $330.00 of mine because I looked at my credit report back in Oct. 2006. Live and learn, I guess. I am suppose to received a email confirming the cancelation but if you call make sure you get the employee name and their corporate number- just in case! Good Luck, I know this website was a huge help for me!
My husband was just charged 24.95 from freecreditreport.com. the funy thing is my husband is deployed to a secluded area and has NO internet access I mean I can't even talk to him or know where he is at or when he is comming home. So how the heck did he oreder a credit report??? I know I didn't do it. I don't even have his credit card number we have 2 seperate accounts and he has his card with him. This is crap I diffintly will be calling on his behalf to see what we can do. Someone needs to do something about this site its stupid how they can just take money from who ever they want!
My banker made a suggestion: If you ever are requested to give a credit card number to some service like this, use a gift card Visa. Since there is only a finite amount of funds on it, they cannot continue charging you, repeatedly!
Anyway, like I said, I called my banker. She was not at all shocked to hear about the recurring CIC#CE Credit Report charges to my account. She could track it back 90 days, using the charge amount. We're in the process of moving, so I didn't have any of the hard copies of my statements to track back further.
She asked me to call 1-877-481-6825, as that's what was listed with the recurring charges on my debit card. She implied that would help them, in their report, if they could say I'd spoken to somebody at FreeCreditReport.com. I got the name of the representative and her ID number and called my banker back.
She typed up a nice form demanding that payments be stopped and the monies be refunded. She doubted they would give back more than 90 days worth, but we figured it was worth the try.
I just got gouged for $34.95 for my 7 day free trial from Freecreditreport.com, and of course just like they probably told all of you, the charges are all within their terms & conditions of the agreement. So, I told them that I was going to get my money back one way or another even if I had to put them out of business. These people are a complete fraud, just look at how many of us that have been ripped off so far, all you have to do is punch CIC CE into your search bar and suddenly you will find nothing but fraudulent complaints from all kinds of people from all over the country. I have contacted the FBI and hopefully they will soon help us deal with these jerks. For you people that are still having money removed from your accounts or even worried about it, I suggest canceling them and starting a new ones, I know it's a pain but it's the only sure way to rid yourself of these money grubbing morons. We all come in here expecting all of these businesses to be legitimate and upfront in our dealings with them, but the fact is, not all of them are and that's why we have agencies like the FBI, I suggest everyone who has been affected by this place to contact the FBI and give them as much information as possible on your experience with them, even if you just leave them a message and a way to contact you, it will show them how seriously we all are about being affected by this horrible companies fraudulent business practices, if you don't call the FBI and make a complaint, your just basically enabling these people to continue ripping you and everyone else off. Since they are located in Irvine, Ca. The closest FBI Office to call would be the one in Los Angeles, here is their contact info : Good Luck Everyone, Jeff W. :)

I got the same thign here. they keep charging my $137.64 for 9 months. i didn't even know what is going on with that and also never received any credit report even one. bullshit company
I just noticed a pending charge on my credit card bill. I called Customer Service for CIC Triple Advantage (Free Credit Report), and stated my case. I told them that the disclaimer for the membership and charge was not in the terms and conditions, but rather next to the "Get My Free Credit Report" button. The disclaimer is blue on blue (text and background along with the rest of the website), so it's a bit tricky to pay attention to it, really. After being told that a refund was impossible, I asked to speak to a supervisor. After waiting for a few minutes, the operator told me that all the supervisors were busy. She took matters into her own hands and offered to refund me the money back. She also told me to read the terms and conditions next time (which is funny because the disclaimer was not in the Terms and Conditions). I advise anyone who has been charged to speak to the supervisor if the operator is refusing a refund. If you have had multiple monthly charges, then tell the supervisor to refund all those monthly charges you've acquired. If the supervisor only tells you that he/she can give you back one month's worth of a charge, then threaten to tell the Business Better Bureau (BBB) about this situation. The supervisor, if he/she is smart, will offer to give you the full refund (as it will save them time and more trouble as it is in the past).
1.) Call 866-369-0423 ext. 1, you'll get a representative, insist this was being advertised as a FREE service
2.) State that you were never aware giving your credit/debit card information would result in a charge. (They will respond by saying it was on the front page...which is true, but not on any of the registration pages)
3.) Advise the representative you had no direct way to cancel your subscription, either by the emails or their website
4.) Ask for a refund and cancellation of services, if refused ask to speak with supervisor and threaten to file a refund with your bank in reference to fraudulent activities
5.) I was put on hold for approx 1 min, then the representative advised me I would be refunded my $14.95 and have my account cancelled
This is seriously jacked up i told the lady on the line that there is a whole site dedicated to her company's misrepresentation. She said that everyone who has ever complained just didn't read the fine print I'm like that bull. I've been charged like 3 time already $14.95 and I have no idea what the company is until i did a searh from the info on my credit card statement
I ordered my credit report and paid 24.95 from freecreditreport.com. I paid because i had already used my "free" report for the year or whatever the case may have been so i figured i needed to pay. Bottom line, i needed to see my credit report asap and i was willing to pay 24.95! My issue now is that 9 days after i just ordered my credit report for 24.95 i saw another charge on my account for 14.95 from the same company. I got there ass on the phone as asked them wtf! They said i had enrolled as a member of Experian and that i had free access to my report at any time. I said, wrong! i just paid for my one time credit report and nothing more. They said, "sir, you were enrolled in a 9 day free trial with access to your credit report at any time, it clearly stated that on the website. After the 9 day trial if you did not cancel, we would assume that you wanted to be a member and started charging you 14.95 a month. I said, I didn't agree to that and i want you to cancel my membership and refund my money. (I guess there is some box that is checked by default that you need to uncheck before you complete your order or some shit like that). They said, "sir, i can cancel your membership (which i was only a member for about 8 hours) but the charge to your account is non refundable. He then went on to try to get me to keep my membership and sell me a cheaper membership deal and blah blah blah. I didn't let him complete much of his sales pitch and told him to cancel everything immediately (in not so may nice words)!!! He did so and i took down his name and the cancelation Conf #.
So, make damn sure you know what you are signing up for, Read the fine print, read the 9 page terms of agreement, read fuckin everything before you pay for a credit report. Check and double check every box on the online order form. If you really need your credit report, get it then immediately call the company and tell them to cancel everything you may have been automatically signed up for. Good luck! I will never ask for an online credit report again.
I didn't even sign up for FreeCreditReport.com and any of the sites that were listed and somehow I got charged $12 on my debit card. It might be easier for some people that got it charged on their credit card but I think it would be harder on the debit card because I don't even know if I can get the money back and I'll probably have to change my account number and everything now.
It's scary how they were able to get my debit card information without me even knowing.
I signed up for FreeCreditReport.com on 11/08/2008, and called to cancel my membership on 11/12/2008. FOUR days after I signed up. The rep that I spoke to kept trying to sell me the service. When I said no I didn't want the service, he told me that I had until 11/19/2008 to access my account. I asked him SPECIFICALLY "will I be charged for this"? He told me NO. Guess what??? 11/23/2008 I was charged $14.95 for an account that supposed to be CLOSED! A "no refund" policy will not work with me... I'm calling tomorrow to get my money back, and I don't expect to hear any arguments from them, seeing as how my conversation with the rep was recorded, I don't think I should have many problems. This is FRAUD!!! I'm sure there are a couple governement agencies would be willing to take a look at the cases... There seems to be alot of them!
I just had that happen to me today. They charged debit card 14.95. I called 1-800-388-8725 and cancelled my account. They told me that they have a no refund policy. I got my money back. You have to get very firm almost nasty with them to get it though. I told them I didn't want their service, I am not paying for it and I never wanted it.

this just happened to me and i never even went through the process. its scary too that they recieved my bank number and i never gave it to then. plus, i only had 1.99 in my account, so now they created an overdraft which i will have to pay for, but i dont have any money. when i saw this, i was mortified. why would people do such a thing.
