Church Chair review: No delivery 12

This complaint has yet to be resolved. Church Chairs refuses to refund 100% of our money, even though the order has been in since Nov.6, 2009. We have been repeatedly lied to with absolutely no honesty as to a real delivery date or a reason for the constant missed shipped dates. Then when I ask for a full refund, they tell me the paperwork says I have to leave 25% ($1250.00) at the table because the order went into "production" (quote / unquote) the week after we ordered it. I have repeatedly called and spoken with either Sherry T. or Larry in Shipping and both have told me over and over our chairs were "on the next truck". with no product received, I call and get told "sorry, just did'nt get made...oh but your chairs are on the next truck". This has been told to me at least 8 times now. After the last BBB response, where they told me my order was cancelled and the refund is in for "REVIEW" (which was after Church Chair verbally told me I would NOT receive a refund) I had to call and validate my order was still in 'production' so that I would not loose our $1250.00 To date, we have no chairs, no true or firm date, no return of our total monies paid to date ($2500.00) and about no hope. We would like to receive our chairs, or a 100% refund. The truth would help and a firm ship date would be most professional. This is one of the most amazing events I have ever had to deal with. After 22 years in Manufacturing work, I cannot understand how a company can stay in business when their core employees are lying directly to the customer base. My belief is that they are about to go bankrupt and are holding all cash reserves. I would never recommend business with them as of this date. It is UNACCEPTABLE that you give thousands of dollars for product, that you are told should be there in 8-12 weeks and after 30 weeks you still have no product and they have your money and will not let you have it back. IT is a shame that we are getting to the legal phase next. AGAIN, WE WOULD LIKE THE CHAIRS OR ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) REFUND.

I just started looking into this company as my father's church is having the same issues as you all and he has asked me to help out. Unfortunately, they are out $1000's as well. So the question is ... where do we go from here? They have tried to contact the Detective that was supposed to be handling all of this, but he is not returning phone calls either. I was considering calling the local news down here in Atlanta to see if they can help, but with the filing, I don't know if there is anything they can do at this point. If there is add'l information on a Class Action Lawsuit, please let us know as we would be interested in joining in the process. Is there any where else I need to go to file a complaint, since like I mentioned earlier, I am just getting started with all of this? So sorry churches are having to deal with this.

Now that Church Chair has filed for Chapter 11 protection, any quick resolution for churches is unlikely. I have heard many stories from churches similar to these. Some dealers for other worship chair manufacturers are extending special discounts to these disaffected customers such as www.saveyourchurchmoney.com Be sure and communicate well your disappointing situation.

Sad to say, we are too having the same problems. Has anyone considered a Class Action Lawsuit with this company? We have been waiting since Jan. 2010. They did exactly the same, saying that the chairs were going to be delivered, etc... or they can not get steel, or upholstery, etc... lies after lies. What I want to know is why are they still there? If they have our money why don't they just take it and run? Whatever could they be accomplishing? Could it be they found the best way to steal people's money and have absolutely no one to answer to? Is this how the State of Georgia deals with crooks? Just lets them keep on until they run out of victims?
Does anyone out there know of a company we can trust? We are very hesitant to order from anyone now. We are looking at Chairs 4Worship but they have only had an A+ rating with the BBB since Nov. 8, 2010...just a couple of weeks! Anyone got a comment?

It is a shame that i am going through the same problem. We have ordered 300 Designer II charis since November 2009 and i have gotten the same response both from Sheri and Larry. They have been ignorning my calling and would at times place me on hold for some what between 25-30 mins, Saying that they are trying to contact the manufacturer. The keep saying that it is in production and i should get my order within 2-3 wks. to day nothing has been delivered.
This is totally unacceptable. Something has to be done. My down payment was 50% and i have not received any word as to a refund or anything of the sort.

Our story for this cmpany is slightly different but the same level of dissatisfaction. Our church ordered 60 chairs and chairs were delivered but the quality was not what was advertised. We called and requested an upgrade to a beter chair even if we had to pay more. We were told there would be a 35% restocking fee! We then asked if we exchanged the ones we received and added more to chairs on the exchange (so they would be making more money) the responded negatively. Sure wish I had seen this board before ordering.

Our church ordered 100 chairs in early December 2009 and sent 50% down payment along with the signed contract. The contract indicated a 6 - 12 week delivery. Month after month passed and no chairs came. I called on July 1 2010 and indicated that if Church Chair couldn't get the chairs to me in the next 2 weeks I wanted them to send me my money back. Well here I am a month later, no chairs, no refund, no contact from church chair. I have a complaint filed with the BBB but it is on "administrative hold" waiting for Church Chair to send me a refund. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with bar none. I too wonder if I will ever see a resolution to the transaction. Oh by the way, we did get one excellent sample chair that so far has cost me over $2000.00.

In December 2009 I checked the BBB and Church Chair rating was A. Today their rating is B-. I can't understand how they have a rating at all with the way they are treating customers.

My church has recently had the same problem. We ordered in May and did not receive chairs or a response about our production. Thankfully the sales offices we went through from ended up refunding our money back to us on last week, but they plan to sue Church Chairs because they would not release the funds to them. We called everyday and was given the run around every time. We have also placed a complaint with the BBB. I hope all other complaints on here get resolved soon.

We have ordered 100 wood chairs in April 2010 and contract says that church chair will deliver in 8-12 weeks. It's 12 week in 1st week of August. We called them they say it has not gone into production yet. Wye are asking our money back and they are refusing to return the 100% of advance money. We are sending our lawyer's letter soon and complaining to BBB. The FED should shut this place. They are ripping-off in the name of God!

This is amazing that I am going through the same problem with this company. The only difference are the dates of purchase. I ordered chairs in March 2010 and it is July 2010. Something has to be done with this company because this is unfair and they are targeting church members. Its a shame.

I recommend you call Bertolini Sanctuary Seating. They can fast-track your order so you're not waiting any longer for chairs.
