Incompetent and deceitful, the worst of lawyering all in one
I do not recommend Christopher A. Carbone. Mr. Carbone is incompetent and deceitful. He handled my Divorce in a Separation matter. I Engaged Mr. Carbone to handle a simple divorce. Mr. Carbone ran up approximately $10, 000 in fees in less than two month and, according to our new counsel, Mr. Carbone never filed a single paper with the court. Mr. Carbone advised us to give almost everything to my former spouse and still couldn't get the job done. 5+ months and $10k and nothing to show for it. Please avoid Mr. Carbone at all costs.
I am the attorney that this complaint is issued against. The person complaining was never a client of mine. I believe the complaint has been generated by an advertising firm attempting to generate business by disseminating false stories about attorneys so they can sign up for services to clean these stories (think of it as your computer getting infected by a virus by a company that specializes in anti-virus software).
Dead give-away that this is a generated complaint:
1) Says they ran up $10K in less than two months; then later says "5+ months and $10K..." Well, which is it?
2) The person complains about a divorce and then says "Mr. Carbone advised US to give almost everything to my former spouse." If the person is complaining about a divorce, who is the "us?"
I would never charge a client $10K and do nothing for them. This is a scam complaint.
