JPMorgan Chase jp mortgage chase illegal harassment and 1 million dollars lawsuit plus foreclosure

Mr. Jeff Bartel, Chase Special Credits Officer called me and talked to me that morning, 11/12/2009, and I remembered very well what he told me in our conversation. I was confused because I didn’t know why Chase was calling me for 9740 properties. (I didn’t know that USB has closed) and I didn’t know that Chase has taken over the loan. Jeff Bartel just didn’t explained to me why Chase was calling me except for the payments, I asked him how come Chase is calling and not UCB. I shall quoted what he said”…. It is because of you, the bank crashed…” in his exact response. I can tell he is a debt collector, a professional one. I was explaining to him I have financial difficulty and I wanted a lower rate on interest payment and I have in loan modification, but I didn’t think he is interested in hearing my story. He is a real credit collector, an officer and a specialist by his title. He left me his phone numbers and told me that he was my contact. He had not called my again until last month with all those harassement and threat by the receiever, Mary Hoopes, and court paper served to my home. I searched and found his name and phone number, so I called him and wanted to find out where I was at in the foreclosure proceeding. Then it was only the second time I got his voice mail about my property in Oakland will be foreclose in mid of May this year. I am still in pre-foreclose period. In these recent months, I received tons of letters from realtor for short sale. Lawyers for loan modification process. Everyone claimed that they will give me good result with 100% guarantee. The XX law group charge me $15000 for the property in Oakland. They have been pushing me on signing the contract and paying the installment retianer. I was hesitating to pick them because they are not in the Bay Area. They haven’t been asking for any documents from me except they tried to talked into signing the contract and they now want a revision of the contract after $15000 still they couldn’t give me 100% guarantee now. The risk is on your own after the fee has been paid and the work may not get the result I wanted. (I learned from a lawyer that the average price range to do loan modification is $3000 per house. )

I want to complaint about professional misconduct of Bruce Cornelius Bar # 065525 for intentionally obstructing justice me and having my legal representative appear in court. He is a lawyer by profession and I am not. I did not get a chance to defend myself or hire someone to defend me on my behave. Even a murderer can a legal counsel by public defender. Why I couldn’t have a chance to do so. Here is why I said that
On 2/16/2010 at 9:00 am, I got a 5 min call from Bruce Cornellius, just like all the debtors phone call I have, they told me that they are lawyer and they are going to sue me in the Alameda court house and he said “ …you ( meaning me) don’t have to be there…. ”
I said to myself, if like you said I don’t have to be there, then why do you call. It must not be important. I have never receive any written message from any law firm nor ever heard of his name before. His statement” you don’t have to be there. “ is intentionally misleading to me . He never explain what is the court appearance for. If someone call up and said, send me a $1000 cash by putting in an envelop and mail it to the P.O.Box #. Would you follow the instruction and do that. Isn’t that now lawfirm are not providing any local mailing service to the staff lawyers. I don’t know what this court appearance all about. The court day was Feb 18, 2010. Two days from this call. I can certainly get some kind of mail overnight. I haven’t heard of his name prior to this phone call. Nor I was service. I do get threatening calls from collectors, like the debtor collector officer, if you don’t pay. You will be sue by a lawyer. But what is true and what is not true, a lot of these phone calls everyday. I told my lawyers. I wish I am dead. They are driving me crazy. There is only so much I can take from Chase. I tell you, from the same court house dealing with the tenants in that property. I filed a small claim in August 2009 and the court day was arranged to December 2009. I have to service and service to make sure that the tenants get the notice every step has to be done correct or the court house will throw out the case. I was service at home this time on the following Monday Feb 22, 2010. A woman called Mary Hoopes called me and demanded I turned over the rent role and everythings to her. She told me that she was appointed by the court to take over and her charge was 170 dollars an hours. I told her right away. You are not hired by me. She said that there is an injunction on me to go to the property. I will be thrown out by the police. Later, that day, a server served me. She has done a lot to my property in the following days. She kept harassing and threaten me, like towing of my vehicles with a lot of my personal property in them on site. Fussing and massing around on my properties. I got more calls from the tenants. She talked and passed out letters to the tenants and have the tenants send her the rents. She was the one collecting the rents. I took the court paper to the lawyer, I have hired and he told me that Chase is suing me for a million dollars and there was another court day we missed March 4, 2010 because the lawyer originally working on my loan modification back out because he is not a real estate lawyer and he doesn’t go to court and in between of looking for another lawyer. I am trying my best to reverse my very unfortunate situation. I worked but just have not been pay for last three months since last year December. I have tenants who has not been paying me. She has not pay the since last year June and still living there now. If I have money to spare, I would hire a lawyer to get rent from them. There are tenants who lost their jobs or learn that the house will be foreclose, therefore they are taking the advantage of not paying. It is a domino effect of today’s economy. The servers, the real estate receiver, the debt collection the loan modification lawyers the one who benefit from these hard time.
Jeff Bartel said that because of me UCB crashed. He has over estimated me. UCB got the money in their hands to lend and they are the one who decide to lend or not to lend and my couple of thousands of dollars per month cannot not make the Bank who was being traded in the security exchange crash. No one foresee the future and when you will be broke and unemployed.
Chase was one bank that has absorbed all those other closing banks mortgage out there, like Washington Mutual and United Commercial Bank and others. Jeff Bartel is a very cynical and hostile person with prejudice and hatred to us, those who was not able to pay with the down and dirty tactics and strategies. If he cut off my only money source and spend unnecessary money for me. A
I get no help, no money from Obama to do my job. Chase isn’t getting Obama’ support, sponsor and promise to put us, the foreclose properties owner to a death end. Remember, I am also a tax payer. Chase bank get my tax dollars to stay alive and absorbed other banks. This is a vicious cycle that give Jeff Bartel, Mary Hoopes, Bruce Cornelius jobs.
I have cut down as much spending as I can, as I try very hard, only if there is any chance to get back on my feet. I have made these money before, can I do it again, as long as I am still breathing. I have asked myself. Do I still have any hope not being destroyed by Chase’s stratgic debt collectors. I am deeply disturbed by all this happening accumulatively over a period of time, I am feeling very hopeless and helpless. Human being are very fragile there are only so much of these bombardments I can take. I want Chase to know that . We didn’t take those money like the bank CEO as bonus and spend them in luxury. We are small people who hit hard by this economy with job loss. A lot of the money was spent in the ever increasing real property taxes to save of city budget, State and Federal taxes. Even if you don’t eat, you still have to pay your taxes.
My lawyer who represent me to answer the 1 million dollars lawsuit charge me $5000 retainer fee and 285 dollars an hour. He has not done a thing for me. It appears to me that he aligned with Chase and serve for Mary Hoopes as their messager to me. Mary Hoopes pad lock my house with personal belonging in it. Those are tool for making a living, not my tools. I request to have them taken out and return to the owner. It was denied. They planned to sale them along with the properties in auction. My lawyer only told me to follow what Mary Hoopes said, otherwise Mary Hoopes will not coorperate with him. My vehicle on premise got towed by myself because Mary Hoopes wanted them out. My lawyer said if Mary Hoopes towed them would be very expensive. So far, he has not done anything for me. except just too much of what Mary Hoopes said and Mary Hoopes want. He is the lawyer, not Mary Hoopes. Mary Hoopes at the same time did improvement on the property, including a new water meter that is not needed. I hope she would do it after forecloser because I am still the one paying the bills but she the one calling the shot. I would be thrown out by the police if I ever show up on the premise according to her. What is justice in America?
With Chase doing these to me, it can only drive me deeper and deeper in debt and never be able to climb out to this Abyss.
I was told that President Obama has given the Chase and other banks our taxes dollars to help the bank for our foreclosure problem but where has the money gone. It has been used to hire more executioners and to kill the foreclose property owners.
I am not alone in this, If I live to make money Chase will get paid, if I die they will get nothing from me.

Because of the economic downturn I lost part of the household income. I contacted Chase and told them about this. They offered no help because the mortgage loan was less than 12 months old. We could not afford the loan payments. We asked if there were modification options, but since our income issues seemed long term they said no. So we decided to put the house on the market 2 1/2 months before the foreclosure date. We had many lookers but no firm offer. Two weeks before the foreclosure date we contacted Chase and asked them if we could extend the foreclosure date because we had two offers that we were in the negotiation process. They said there was NO way they could extend it without the short sale package being submitted (even though we were not going to short sale the property) or they had a submitted offer sheet. Because Chase was unwilling to extend the date, one party back out immediately. I immediately filled out the short sale packet sent it to my realtor for him to fill out remaining information then we submitted by fax it the next day. Chase didn't "get it" for another 8 days, even though we continued to fax it everyday after we originally submitted it. After they finally received it they said it wasn't uploaded, so they would not talk to my realtor, my attorney or anyone else that I had authorized. The other interested buyer didn't make up their minds till the day before the foreclosure date. We submitted the bid. Chase got all the paperwork. I called and confirmed it. The still sent my property into foreclosure and tried selling my property by auction. No one bought it for the price Chase wanted at auction, so Chase maintained the property. But I still can't sell it. CHASE WOULD RATHER PAY ALL THE FEES FOR FORECLOSURE THAN MAKE THEIR MONEY BACK FROM ME SELLING THE PROPERTY. What a way to do business!

JPMorgan Chase my father died - I proved my grief - now give me my money

My father passed away 12 years ago. I recently found out (in Jan 2010) that one of his IRA accounts at JP Morgan Chase Bank is still open and active!

I called the 800 number and obtained the correct address for sending all my required documents to have my father's account liquidated and closed. I wrote to them on March 11th and sent my letter, along with my documents (including a CERTIFIED copy of my father's death certificate) via USPS Express Mail, signature required.

I tried to track this letter online TODAY and it is STILL at the Post Office in San Antonio, waiting for pickup!

This department handles requests only for DECEASED individuals. One would think that they would expedite matters for the next of kin, especially if they tout "customer service" and the "right relationship."

I called again and the rep told me to go to the nearest Chase bank and have them sort out the mess. I calmly replied that I live 500 miles from the nearest bank because I MOVED after my father passed away!

I called one of my father's former branch managers at Chase and she had moved from there. So, I explained to the woman who took her place about my situation. This new woman was nothing more than a waste of time for me. Why is she getting paid to provide no help.

I really hope Chase bank joins the ranks of Lehman Bros and AIG, because they learn NOTHING from the recent banking disaster in our country.

Instead of moving forward, they are moving in reverse at an accelerated speed.

If you are looking to bank somewhere with your money or your IRA or your kids' future savings, PLEASE do NOT bank with CHASE, because the right relationship cannot be found there any more...

JPMorgan Chase unprofessional

Ok, here's my story with chase bank. When I first opened my account, I was helped my the most courteous personal banker ever. Everything seemed fine until I received a letter from them threatening to close my account if I didn't provide a letter from the social security ad to verify my ss#. I thought to myself well ok, I will go ahead and come in and give them a copy of my social security card. Next day im at the branch where I opened my acct. One of the personal bankers along with the manager helped me; they made a copy of my ss card and they faxed it over to what this other department. Minutes later they said ok, miss ada we faxed over the copy now, everything is clear you can go about your business. 3 days passed, I used my card with no problems. Until the 4th day came. Im at the beauty salon getting my eyebrows done thinking I was able to pay with my debit card. After im done its time to swipe the *** thing, & it comes out as declined.. ! Im thinking how could this be? I have over $500 in my acct. Well it turns out these idiots have put a restriction on my acct w/out notifying me at all! All because the copy of my ss card wasn't good enough for them. I get on the phone immediately w/this guy who was no idea was going on & barely speaks any english & his telling me this until now. Why in the world would they not tell me that 3-4 days ago when I was at their branch. At this point I feel betrayed and played by these people who have decided to put a restriction on my own *** money! I wish they would have notified me before to avoid the embarrassment. Grrrr! Ok, well the story goes on and one w / not a happy ending. Now, im in the process of closing my acct, not my choice but bcuz they need more documentation from me. I already provide them w/a w2 a letter from the ss ad and they still need me to bring a stub from work showing all the #'s of my social. Idk what else to do? Oh & they still have the nerves to tell me they're charging me $25 to close my acct...

Do not bank w/such incompetent/rude/unprofessional people. Chase bad chase!

Chase Bank has made the decision to choose Merchants over their customers in any dispute over debit card charges. IF you've ever used a Chase debit card you will shortly find out that the merchant that you used it at can reach into your account at anytime and take (steal) funds. If you contact Chase - they will ask you to contact the merchant first. If you cannot resolve the issue with the merchant and contact Chase - they will tell you that there is nothing they can do. I've sent e-mails re this and have cc'd Chase's ceo Jamie Dimon, did receive a reply that indicated that there was nothing that they could do. This is clearly taking the side of merchants over customers. I will be closing my personal account, business accounts - as will my colleagues.

JPMorgan Chase raised my interest rate to 24%

I was a washington mutual customer. had a 0% interest rate on my account. charged business things, always paid on time, always paid more then the required amount. they switched to chase bank- interest rate went up to 10%, okay, things are different now, dealt with it, then they raised my interest rate to 19%, couldn't pay off the balance and close my account because i didn't have the money. now they raised my rate to 24%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%. I still have never been late- never. i have always paid more then the amount requred- always. i called and asked why and they said they mailed me a statement (i never got) stating i could "opt out" andclose my account and keep my 19% interest rate. i never got a letter and i really didn't want to keep my 19% interest rate. so, now i am paying 24% on a $10, 000.00 balance and their answer to me was that we are in hard economic times and that i should have accepted my previous terms (that i never got). i hate chase bank.

my name is douglas w. trantham p.o. box-544 in danville, ky 40423 phone #[protected] cell#[protected] myself & daughter are victims of mortgage & foreclosure fraud now victims of wrongful evicition. chase bank with attorney's lerner, sampson & rothfuss in cincinnati have taken our veterans insured home. the judge (darren w. peckler) did nothing except rubber-stamp everything for chase. my home is now being sold by coldwell banker. where is my obama mortgage mod. ? where was my government when our personal property was taken by thief's working for coldwell banker ? where was the v.a. ? where was the title co. during all circuit court hearings ? they all had only 3+ years to show up. a senior judge (overstreet) reversed peckler in 2009. peckler issued another order. the home was sold in 2010. where are all those good attorney's ? if this is such a big deal and nation wide, where is the help for common home owners ? think about a disabled veteran with v.a. insurance watching the failure of any real down to earth help ! it appears to me that nothing will change until some of these bankers & judges end-up 6ft under ! just a vision, no real intent involved ! doug

I agree. I have had to hire an attorney to attempt to keep my home. I have been fighting Chase in all it's diffrent names for over 7 years! Now they have given false information to Fanny Mae! AND it's Fanny Mae who is trying to take my home.
I was in court 2 days ago and the phone calls continue. I was even told at one time that they would be on my doorstep the next morning to get the keys. I needed to be packed and everything out so they could sell my home at that time.
They don't credit your payments correctly and you just keep getting late payment fees.
I to just want to keep my home and chase to go away!
According to them I owe double what my home is worth.
Good Luck to you all.

it seems Chase has a very disorganized system as we all know. I myself have been trying to get a loan modification for the last year. Filled out a few packages and of course they either loose them. The girl that was talking to said I needed to fill out 1 every 6 mos. Did ask if they heard any head way on mod., kept telling me it was in the works and a person was reviewing it. Haven`t heard a word from them. Gave them my email, cell # so they could reach me. Was having some desk jockey calling 3 times a day saying according to the Re-payment plan I was to pay 600. The paperwork I have was 200. for a down payment and 496 . for 4 payments. Still to this day, , no word . if anyone is in the start of a class action, , I would be much interested.. Just want my house with Chase gone from the picture..

To Whom It May Concern:

I am requesting help regarding the mishandling of my home loans and the conditions agreed to by my wife and I. The loan reinstatement conditions were managed by The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency / Homeowner Emergency Assistance Program (PHFA/HEMAP) in September 2005, Signed November 2005.

I have made every attempt to contact PNC Bank, Chase Home Finance, and PHFA/HEMAP to ensure my loans are properly being managed to no avail. Regarding PNC Bank the loan was never reinstated, no clear information or documentation regarding insurance was ever provided. Regarding Chase Home Finance, the interest rate change was not applied, the monthly payment change was not applied, and the disability insurance was never applied. All as agreed in the contracts signed.

Once I was lied to on recorded telephone calls and received fraudulent mail I suspended all payments except to PHFA/HEMAP.

I have open two OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) investigations 985005 and 985006 respectfully. I also demanded a suspicious activity report be opened on both loans.

Issues regarding loans:

1. Chase Home Finance
a. Interest rate reduction:
i. From 8.50% lowered to 8.15%
ii. Monthly payments not to exceed $1, 103.64
iii. Insurance reapplication
1. Forced place hazard
2. Disability and mortgage
3. Complete reinstatement of loan

2. PNC Bank
a. Correction of loan conditions
i. Loan was incorrectly listed as a Line Of Credit – should be a Home Equity Loan
ii. Interest rate raised to 6.25 from 4.25
iii. Ensure disability and life insurance is applied to loan
iv. Complete reinstatement of loan

Please count us in also. We have been working with Chase Mortgage since 2008. We too have applied and applied for the lone modification that we 100% qualify for. They gave us the run around for over 9 months. The woman they assigned our file to left the company. The file sat on her desk and never got re-assigned to anyone else. We called every other week atleast and was told that it is still under review. No matter when we called and asked for a manager, there never was one available. NEVER! Finally they realized it was never reassigned and gave it to someone. They gave us a 3 month trial period where we had to make payments which included taxes and interest. We paid on time each month. when the trial period was over, we had to resend them our financials and bank statements. After 97 days, we finally recieved the package in the mail. They raised our payment by over $400.00. and we have 13 days left to sign the document. If we don't they can start procedings for foreclosure. We are devistated. There was no letter stating why the payment went up, and they told us when we called we no longer qualify for the loan modification. The representitive we spoke to said that the HAMP program does not include insurance and property taxes and that those amounts are added after the payment amount is figured-which is a complete lie! We even called HAMP headquarters and verified that the 31% payment includes taxes and insurances. We are really in a time crunch because we can't sign the document because we simply can't afford it. At the beginning of all of this, chase is the one who told us to stop paying our mortgage for 3 months because they couldn't do anything to help us until we were delinquent. Now they are completely screwing us. My husband is a works in finance for a living. No one will give him a job if we are delinquent on the mortgage. We are screwed in every way! Please help us!

I am in as well. Chase Home Finance flat out lied to us in regard to getting our horrible loan modified. We originally had a bad
loan with Ameriquest which was determined to be preditory and illegal. The State Attorney General's in all states but VA (they never did business in that State), sued them and won a huge settlement that put Ameriquest out of business. Somehow
Chase ended up with our loan. The loan was never changed in any way, and we have been trying to get it modified with Chase
over the last two years. We entered into a temp loan mod agreement with them with the understanding that they would perm mod the loan to better terms once we completed the temp loan mod payments with them on time (which we did). They did nothing for over a year. I then started screaming at them to get the thing done for us. Then the Sheriff showed up at our door. We were able to get it stayed a few times, but now I don't know. They have turned us down for the perm mod, and they have mailed us the NPV letter I asked for which does not give us credit for the correct amount of income, as well as mainy other items being incorrect as well. It appears that they purposely input incorrect data to fail their test. I disputed it, and provided correct info, including having the IRS fax the right info directly to them. Still not giving us credit for the right income amount in order to fail the nPV test. No wonder this country is in such bad shape. Banks shld not be allowed to treat their customers this way. They even refused our payments on eleven different occassions. It is like they think there is oil under our house or something.

Im in. I appied for a mod in Dec 2009 and they put me on a trial period. I paid on time for Jan-April 2010, al lthe while calling for updates. in April when i called they said I weas denied. I made too much money. (no letter or written correspondence!)When I asked about my options they said, forelcose or sell the property- OR pay $811 RIGHT NOW... Which was INSANE. I make good money and my job was not in danger so I knew I could make the payments.I called [protected]-HOPE and when they called Chase wtih me, Chases' tone semi changed. They provided the same option about foreclosure or selling the home, but I asked about a repayment plan mentioned on thier website. They relunctantly allowed me to file-but said, I didnt make enough money. (I make 6 figures) so they had to add my husband who is NOT even on my loan! 1 week later I called to see if it was approved but they had lost the application so I had to file again. When it was finally approved they said I needed to pay $2100 on May 15, not one day later-and that paperwork woud arrive via mail with further info. Well, on may 14th I overnighted a check because I knew it couldnt be late, yet the paperwork didnt arrive. So I called on the 15th to make sure they received the check and they said they couldnt accept a check .They need a money order. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT. I was able to convice them to keep the check and all was ok but I asked if I could pay i via phone and they said no. (WHY? They took it every other time) But now I had to pay almost double payments for June, July and August. $3600) but once that was done, I would be caught up which was perfect!I asked the very first lady who took my application, what would happen in September and she said your new payment will be $1996. I said where did thaqt come from? Thats lower than my trial period payments and those were what caused my modifcaiton denial! Of cours, e she didnt know. Evey few weeks I called Chase back to double check that September number becasue i KNOW they alwoays somehow change things. Eeryone had the same answer to my surprise...t.hat is, unti lyesterday August 2nd. I struggled all summer but made all required payments on the repayment plan along with my small second mortgage (which was never part of the modification request). I called to check on September and they said I had a balance due of $1996 for August. Of course, I frekaed out and explained the repayment plan but the guy said it was a "miscommuincation" and that I am responsible for the regular August payment.
I have paid them a total of over $13000 for both loans in 3 months and they want another $2K? This could very well cause me to go right back in the hole! I cant even trade in my 2001 or 2002 cars because this killed my credit so bad.
Theres so much more history on this, but I didnt want to write it all.
IM IN on hammering Chase for their fair and sketchy practices.

I just finished up with Chase Home Finance. We have been getting charged late fees on our mortgage note. We have our payment set up on a Military allotment that pays out the 1st of every month automatically. The system is not entirely fool proof due to computer errors but typically works 99 percent of the time. As of April 2009, Chase said that we were missing a payment. After some prodding and about 2 months worth of investigation, we thought we had it fixed. My wife got assigned to a further installation away so we decided to buy a new house. We made it through the entire process until it hit underwriting and found out that Chase had reported us late for October of 2009 and February 2010 on out credit report. We immediately called Chase and the basic collections number that they have (which is the only listed number anywhere) puts you in touch with a very rude out-sourced collections department in Calcutta or Delhi India. I spoke with the first representative, Joshua Rose (so he claims), who could not comprehend anything except that I was late 2 payments now and that I WILL make a payment right now. He got quite obnoxious and became verbally abusive. I retaliated with a more stern tone and asked for a Supervisor. He would not allow that and said that I would only be able to speak with him. I asked again and was hung up on. At that point my wife filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. We called back and asked for the research department to which we were told that the only means of contact was by mail or fax. We immediately faxed all corresponding documentation in the form of a military LES (Leave and Earnings Statement) to them and asked to expedite the matter. Two weeks passed by with no response so we filed another Better Business Bureau Complaint. At this point, we were already 2 weeks past our closing date and I was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in another 2 weeks. My wife then wrote the NC state Congressman William Jones. By the third week, we received a call from Deanne Payne who represents the Chase Executive Research office at their Corporate Headquarters. After one week of research, it was found that due to holiday pay schedules, the month of April fell on a holiday payday, therefore they received a payment on the 1st of the month and then again on the 26th of the month. Due to this, they said they did not receive on of the months payments which made them say that we were a month behind and charged us all sorts of late fees. On the morning of 17 June 2010, Mrs. Payne called confirming this and was generating a letter to validate their mistake and was calling our mortgage broker to let him know so we could finally close on the new home. While we were waiting, my wife received yet another collection call from Edward Artuz, another out-sourced collector. He became extremely belligerent with her and said that he would have her arrested and that she was wrong and was under criminal statute to pay. She tried to explain the situation to which he kept interrupting and would not accept it. She asked for his Employee ID number to which he refused with a couple of expletives. He then tried to force her to give payment or schedule one immediately. She said she was reporting his misconduct. At the end of the conversation, he asked her to verify her phone and address to which she asked why he needs it since apparently he called her about the property. He he replied, "Fine, Have a good day, B****!" I immediately reported him to Mrs. Payne and she is investigating that now as well. This is a company that was bailed out with Government Bailout Money, yet they are paying beligerent out-sourced collectors in another country and then mis-reporting credit and screwing up peoples lives. I want in on a Class Action Law Suit and want to see them burn.

JPMorgan Chase faulty lending

In February I received a statement saying that my TV, originally purchased at Circuit City before they closed, had a remaining balance of $81, so I paid it off. This month I got a new statement saying that I owe them 700 because I didn't pay them by the end of January although nothing on the February or March statements says anything about this. I am so pissed. I called and they pretty much told me I didn't read the fine print. They are trying to gouge my husband and I, and my husband is currently on the thousands of pink slipped teachers in California so this couldn't have come at a worse time. I was trying to pay debts off, not incur new ones. Any advice would be awesome!

JPMorgan Chase modification

When are we going to be able to hold Chase to the fire? I am so frustrated with this situation, just as I am sure everyone else is. My latest experience with Chase Customer Service (and I use that term loosely) was trying to return a phone call to 'Kevin' (obviously non existent at Chase) regarding a Wind Insurance Policy (yes, living in Florida requires Wind Insurance, if anyone has heard of anything more ridiculuous please let me know) for which Chase arbitrarily decided they were going to charge me $10, 000 annually. Really? Anyway, after 20 exasperating minutes on the phone, I had collected no less than 10 different 800, 888, and 866 numbers to call for assistance. The last number I was given completed the circle and was the number I called in the first place.
I won't even tell you about the five times I have been denied a loan modification, apparently the brains at Chase know more about disability than the Social Security Administration.
I am in total disbelief that our money was given to a company that treats it's customers like this. What has happened to customer service? Every time you call you speak with a different person who asks you the same information ad nauseum. And don't think writing someone's name down to ask for later will help, they just deny that the person works there.
What is our recourse here? Have we become a country that is run by corporations to the point of disregard for it's citizens. The last time I checked, the money Chase makes is from us, it's customers.
Update, as I am typing this, unbelievable as it may seem Chase called me. None of the information I gave in my previous phone call has been added to my account, and I was told that my loan modification was denied again, even though the lady in the modification office I spoke with told me it was still active.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.

JPMorgan Chase $150 to open checking account

Received offer in the mail to open a checking account and receive $150. Submitted application online, they asked for a $100 opening deposit, gave the info and hit submit. I was declined the account, but they still took $100 from my account TWICE! When called customer service and talked to a stuporvisor they didn't understand what I was talking about and told me to file a complaint against MY bank.Customer service very rude and was finally told by a stuporvisor that my call would be deleted because I was very upset. To me this is stealing. Dont accept this offer from Chase, they are a very stupid business and I surely don't want them handling my money!

I am irritated and disappointed with Chase's lack of adherence to its own advertisement of a smooth transition from WAMU accounts to Chase. Advertisement followed to say that log in info would remain the same. Unfortunately that is not so. I am forced to create new log in info. I am tired of changing passwords that I forget and want to keep my old login info as was promised with the transition from Wamu to Chase. Not only is this false advertisement, but Chase seems to be lagging behind in technological capabilities. From inability to change card designs to allow for differentiation of cards (from the recently acquired accounts/banks) to forcing customers to create new log in info and lack of smooth transitioning.

I don't have time for this and am tired of creating so many log ins. Shouldn't this be simpler and easier for the user/customer?

"chase" is appropriately named. Because, that's what you will be doing for your own money... Chasing it. Don't bother setting up their so called "alerts" for low balances because they will only notify you after they have taken your money, even though you put money in your account the same day as the notification. They tell you, at the bank, that if your account shows a low amount, as long as you put funds in before the end of the working day you won't be charged an overdraft fee. This is a lie. They lie. They steal. They are the most unscrupulous bank on the planet. After you spend endless hours on the phone being jerked around and telling the same story to everyone you speak to, they will tell you some ridiculous lie, and read from their scripted responses. The bottom line is that even if it is their mistake, you won't get your money back. They tell you that as a "courtesy" they will refund a certain amount and that you can never get anything back again for that entire year.In other words they steal your money, and as a courtesy they will give you back some of the money they stole, and still keep some. I closed all my accounts with them over 10 years ago (For other unscrupulous behavior of theirs) and went to another bank, which unfortunately was bought out by chase. If you're smart you won't have any credit card that deals with chase bank and you won't have any bank account with them. Apparently your account is their account. "chase... Where we treat your account like our own. " that's what their new motto should be!

Over the last several years Chase offered some of its most credit worthy customers an opportunity to consolidate debt through checks and balance transfers into fixed, low APR loans that would apply for the life of the loan balance. Chase regularly solicited consumers with these offers, and many people saw this as a good opportunity to consolidate their debt and pay down their balances. Consumers accepted Chase’s offer with the understanding that they were required to make a minimum payment of 2% of their balance each month. This allowed consumers to budget and plan for the long term.

My vows start over a year ago. Firstly i got my card and check books only after a month. The agent apparently got my email address wrong. I rechecked the application and saw that it was the error of the bank. Last month applied for a debit card. Never got it so far. First it was sent to my old address. I had updated my address before requesting this card. Then still no answer... don't have the courtesy to call or email to find out about my location. Next i come to know that it has been resent because i am not on the lease. This is false if it comes in regular mail it wouldn't have been stopped. I have been receiving mail and another debit card for that fact in the mean time... CHASE BANK *** BIG TIME... its hight time they close this bank!

Never take the TJX reward card. It is managed by Chase bank . They are real suckers.

They make sure that you will pay late fee. Your late fee is their bread. Real suckers. Even if you send the payment 4 days before the due date they will post it one day after the due date. Then they will charge 10$ late fee and a big interest on the amoutn due and a finance charge. Immediately they will raise the apr to 60%. No remainders. No grace period. No courtesy calls. Real suckers.

Chase set up an escrow account and double paid my real estate taxes on my home. We have had no escrow on our home for 9 years.

We have written, emailed, called, etc. It is really frustrating to lose hours and hours of time because of a bank error.

They artificially increased our payment by almost 200.00 per month as well!

Just a classic example of a big bank trying to take advantage of a customer by hiding behind their website and using customer service people that do not speak English as a first language.

On the 20th of Nov I attempted to make a payment on my car loan, so it would not be late. I usually do this through my own credit union. For some reason Chase system gave me an error and could not complete the transaction. So I went to a Chase branch on the 21st and paid the car payment.

It was posted to my account that day and withdrawn on the following Monday. Today I checked my account and Chase had issued a preauthorized check with their check number not mine and withdrew another payment plus charged me $10.00 for the processing. This is my rent money. When I tried speaking with someone and pleaded my case I was told there was nothing they could do.

That I have to prove the money came out of my account to them when it is right there on the screen of both my and their computer. I have to submit in writing and submit to a review board for them to determine if I get my money that they took without my authorization. This is fraud. If I use some one credit card without their knowledge, it’s fraud and this is not fraud.

They put the routing number from my check on their check. The number they put on the check is incorrect because on the preauthorization that number was for Farmers insurance check. I am going to take my car loan to another financial institution as soon as I can. This is a wrong I’m going to have my bank file a fraud charge against them.

I have a check auto deposit on the 1st of each month at midnight. I am a late night early morning person. I tried to make online orders early this morning which failed even though the money was in the account. This is the second month this has happened. I Suspect this is retaliation for previous complaints online like this. The question arises; Is chase bank so greedy that they have to horde my money during the night to collect more interest or participate is some seedy transaction here or in another part of the world? Someone should look into this.

JPMorgan Chase fraud theft

I want to joi a class action against Chase Auto! A year ago they repoed our SUV. To date the SUV is still in our name and the TAG is missing! Chase claims the SUV was damaged and had hi miles our records show that it was taken 2 months prior to Chase documentation. They also sold it for less then a grand, yet the loan is for over 7 grand. No way is this SUV worth only a grand! We were told to wait for the hardship program and we were not offered this program, Chase just took the Auto! They need to be sued that will but a end to their Fraud and illegal business practices! Also Chase never sent us a notice to pay balance on SUV..so we couldnt even save it..and Chase would not let us sell it!

I called the police both here and in the state the SUV went to. A officer was going to check out the VIN's..The Repo man is the one that caused this problem in the first place! Maybe Chase will investigate this company..But Chases story changes! Oh the police have No Record of this SUV being Repoed..Time to get a lawyer involved Thanks for your help

We were told by Chase to apply for the hardship program and sent one payment they wanted all 3..So Chase started repo only after 2 late payments..I requested from the VP of Chase all documents from the repo..Chase only sent loan papers..I have that! I told Chase VP to check out the Repo man..he is the one that isnt giving the right documents. Chase documents show it was repoed 2 months later! I do have a service report with the miles for around the date the SUV was taken..Police say the VIN was switched with a stolen auto. I will wait for a outcome at this point. But if I were Chase I would drop it before it went to court!

Update by TakenOver

First it has been over a year and our names are still on the title, tag and VIN..Second I was told by the top person at Chase that the Suv sold for 4 X the amount that shows as the sale on our collection bill..Third where has this SUV been for months since the Repo-man took it and it turned up at auction? And if this in fact is our SUV when why is it damaged? Chase is caught in a lie and there is no way they can recover! And the SUV if it is ours has 8000 more miles on it then when it was repoed! Chase did the same to us as they did to homeowners that they foreclosed on! And they have a class action against Chase! We will see them in court and let a Judge resolve this problem!

Now see how more of your story is coming out. I didnt see the complaint in the original post.

The police should have a record of when the truck was repo'd. A repo agent is to call the police to report the repo, so when the owner calls the car in stolen, the police can say "no your car was repo'd". Did you call the police?

Instead of joining a class action suit, did you hire a lawyer? Did you get the Vin # of the stolen auto?

Trust me I used to work in auto collections & I do know how some of the recovery agents are. At this point a lot of stuff will be hard to prove. I would try to get the vehicle. Remember the VIN # is on several places on the car

OK .. so lets take a look at your complaint.

"First it has been over a year and our names are still on the title, tag and VIN.." --------- You should have some type of paperwork to show that the repo took place. If not, request something from Chase so that you cant take it to MVA.

"Second I was told by the top person at Chase that the Suv sold for 4 X the amount that shows as the sale on our collection bill.." --------- Go to the auctoneer to see get a copy of the bill of sale. Also, how did Chase itemize your bill? All of the fees associated w/ the repo will come out of the sale price .

"Third where has this SUV been for months since the Repo-man took it and it turned up at auction?" -------- It was in storage. I dont think they is anything stating they have to sell it right away. They do have to hold on to it for a certain period of time to allow you to redeem it. In my state it is 15 days.

" And if this in fact is our SUV when why is it damaged?" ---- Who knows? The repo agent may have damaged it, but unless you have very recent service records, that may be hard to prove. Chase may have authorized the damage in order to get the truck. This one will be very hard for you to prove.

"Chase is caught in a lie and there is no way they can recover! And the SUV if it is ours has 8000 more miles on it then when it was repoed!" --- Once again do you have recent service records to show this? This may be hard to prove as well

Chase did the same to us as they did to homeowners that they foreclosed on! And they have a class action against Chase! We will see them in court and let a Judge resolve this problem!

I understand how you feel and you may have some validity to some of your complaints, but most of it will be hard to prove & .. ( I hate to say this) If your payments were up to date .. you would have never had a repo

I don’t understand what your complaint is. They repossessed your SUV because the payments were behind. Unfortunately, owing a deficiency balance is a part of the repossession process. Most who have a car repossessed will still owe. I don’t see where the fraud & illegal business practices come in.

JPMorgan Chase property taxes

Have you paid your property taxes for the property the chase mortgage is attached to? I have and chase still sent me a letter telling me that they are going to pay my taxes and go up on my payment. This is the next scam that they are trying. My state does not participate in over the counter tax leins.

My tax department informed me that they would send chase's payment back to them if they do try to pay our taxes. Check with your tax office and make sure your taxes have been applied correctly or expect another bs move on behalf of chase.

JPMorgan Chase ira rollover scam

I left a job quickly after making two contributions to the company savings plan. When I terminated I received a rollover form for an IRA. I rolled the money about $90.00.

Each year I have received a $30.00 anual fee to have the account open. This fee is taken from the $90.00.

After realizing this and actually just wanting my money I called Chase to get the remaining balance. Chase is now going to charge me a $75.00 fee to close the IRA.

SO MUCH FOR A RETIREMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT!

JPMorgan Chase home owners insurance

Since September 2009, I have my mortgage with Chase Home Finance and separately my Home Owners with Allstate.

In November 2009, Chase sent out a letter requesting proof of home insurance. W called Allstate and requested they fax a proof of coverage.
Allstate did so.

Subsequently, Chase sent us a letter that they would no longer need to have hazard insurance on the property, as it was duplicated coverage. We thought this was odd as we were never aware of them having any insurance on the property.

On March 8, Allstate sent us a letter stating that our insurance had lapsed and we would need to purchase the next six months in advance. We have both auto insurance and homeowners with Allstate, so we looked back at our payment records and discovered that we had NOT received a bill for Allstate homeowners for the last three months.

I called Allstate and they said it was a mistake caught and corrected in January. They said they would adjust our bill for the remainder of the year, increasing the premium for the period from March to October.

This week, I received letter, requesting missing insurance information within 15-days, they threatened that if they did not receive the requested information, they would force me to buy Hazard Insurance at a cost likely to be much higher than I would pay on my own.

I called Chase and they said that Allstate had sent an insurance cancellation notice for non-payment on February 24.

We are current on our insurance payments and Allstate has now faxed our proof of coverage to Chase.

We are concerned that either Allstate or Chase made a change to our customer record that stopped the monthly billing process.

A recent TV news program raised a concern that Chase was trying to force another customer into higher priced hazard insurance. I will seek help from the Texas Consumer Protection Agency to determine how either of these companies can make changes to our account without me being aware of it. More importantly, to make sure Chase or Allstate has not devised a scheme to sell insurance that is more expensive.

JPMorgan Chase unexplained interest charges

After chase bank took over my mastercard, they raised my interest rate from 14.9% to 24% and then again recently to 29.9% for no apparent reason. I could no longer afford the minimum payment, let alone put anything towards the principal. I had no choice but to pay the card off. unfortunately, I had to cash out an annuity and take a $2, 500.00 loss in order to do so. I am still receiving a bill from them for additional interest. I have been paying for their payment protector plan. this plan when activated defers any interest or monthy payment. not only did I pay the bill in full, but I had also activated the payment protector plan. after several conversations with their rude customer service reps/supervisors/bank managers they all insisted that I owe this additional interest, however no one can explain where these charges incurred. I have written a detailed letter to send to the ceo of chase bank, congress and president obama. after reading all these other complaints, why is our government allowing this to continue? this is unethical and in my opinion, should be illegal. as individuals, this would be near impossible to stop, but as a whole, maybe we can do something about this.

JPMorgan Chase unauthorized charge for internet purchase scam

I was scammed by a celebrity white teeth and they took 149.95 out of my debit account with Chase bank. I have 3 different financial instituions and check my accounts daily. I noticed a charge in pending for 149.95 with my Chase account. I contacted Chase and they said they have to wait for the charge to go through. I did everything in my power to prevent this from happening. I contacted Fraud, the Dispute department, my local branch in Ravenna, Ohio and also went into the bank.

Nobody at Chase would abide by there policy which states: ANY UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES WITH BE PUT BACK IN YOUR ACCOUNT BY THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY BECAUSE WE DONT THINK YOU SHOULD WAIT WHILE WE INVESTIGATE. I have contacted the BBB, The State Attorney General, Made a Police report, etc. etc. etc.. This money was taken out Jan. 16th and I still have yet to receive a refund. If you have had a situation like this with Chase (JP Morgan) you can contact me to follow in a Class Action Suit. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com

Sincerely, Debbie Nickolich

The exact thing happened to me for $128.82 and I have spent 3 days calling the bank, going in, and calling the useless customer service in the Phillipines. I have spent hours on the phone with people I can't understand and talk right over me.
Chase has the worst customer service and problem resolution I have ever encountered! Tomorrow brings another day of returning to the branch to beg for help to resolve FRAUD.

JPMorgan Chase perpetual ach payments

Several years ago I set up automated clearing house (Ach) payments to jpmorgan chase for a home mortgage loan. Last november I refinanced and paid off that loan, and soon thereafter received from jpmorgan chase documentation releasing the lien, as well as my funds in escrow. However, they have continued to take ach payments from my checking account each month since then. These are ach payments pulled by jpmorgan chase, not bill payments pushed out by my bank. I have called repeatedly requesting that they cancel my automated payments, and each time they supposedly submit my request to their ach collection department, but the practice has continued now through march. Every month I have received a check for the amount paid the month before, which I deposit at about the same time the ach payment leaves. Essentially, jpmorgan chase is using my money without permission nor interest. Yesterday I filled out paperwork at my bank to stop the ach payments as they arrive. This has gone beyond negligance and borders on fraud. The federal regulators at the office of the comproller of the currency might be interested if this was a wide ranging practice.

So I actually just went through the whole overdraft issue with Chase. They took longer than expected to post a deposit, and as a result my account when in the red. Instead of posting transactions in the order the occurred, they reordered 5 days worth of transactions to benefit them self.
Outraged that a bank was allowed to do this, I actually took them to Small Claims court and WON! I just received a phone call from a woman in their legal department informing me that the ONLY reason I won was because they didn't show up and thus defaulted. They had every opportunity to arrive (it was scheduled 6 weeks in advance) and didn't. They also can not assume that they would automatically win the case.
Chase is an example of a bank that says they focus on customer service while in the background, tries to come up with ways to extract more fees from their customers. I plan to close my account as soon as possible.

Chase bank, users, cheats, crooks, cons, rip off, liars, the great chase «chase ". no one at chase has any idea what’s going on with their customers, ###s, stupid people, service is rotten, they lie and cheat, no help, god knows they can't even answer the most simple questions, their collections dept. Are so rude and lie thru their teeth, help is not a word when it comes to chase bank.

Lawyers do their bidding, garnishments, court levy's for a few dollars, steal your money.

Is this the real American way?

I just came across an unethical practice perpetrated on my Chase debit account. It seems some "pending" charges where conveniently processed after my account was overdrawn, even though the purchases occurred before the account was overdrawn. Thus, because of this, I incurred some insufficient funds charges for purchases that were not made when the banking statement says that they were. I have the receipts to prove it!
I've been suspicious of these "pending" statuses for a while, but now Chase is just stealing money. For one, the dates of the transaction listed on the statement after the "pending" status was changed don't match my receipts. And two, the "Overdraft Coverage" was supposed to protect against overdrawing your account, however, it conveniently didn't protect against the charges that Chase took out themselves after they processed my "pending" charges, and turned them into purchases made with insufficient funds, when in reality, they weren't. Once again, I have the receipts to prove it!
I plan on taking my money out of the bank as soon as I can, and canceling my direct deposit.

I am a consumer whose WAMU credit card accounts were acquired by JP Morgan Chase. When I was redirected to the Chase online site to pay my accounts, I had to complete some basic information including the account from which I will pay my bill. I misunderstood the directions and entered my debit card instead of the bank account number.

I received a 'congratulations' screen that directed me to the payment forms. I paid on both of my accounts. At this point, I received no alert telling me that my account numbers were not acceptable.

However, the payments could not be processed and Chase levied a return check charge and a late payment charge on both accounts (total of $156.00). ADDITIONALLY TWO LATE PAYMENTS AND TWO RETURNED CHECK CHARGES WERE RECORDED ON MY CREDIT RECORD! As soon as I discovered the charges, I immediately made payments to bring my accounts current.

I contacted Chase numerous times and explained my error, requesting that they reverse the charges and fix my credit report. THEY HAVE REPEATEDLY FLATLY REFUSED. They got $25 billion of taxpayer dollars and are unwilling to make adjustments due to a simple misunderstanding of a new customer.

Is there anyone who can monitor this type of behavior? Is there anyone who can assist me with this issue? Right now is not a time to hit consumer's credit records with bogus, trumped-up charges!

ITA! Stealthpilot a check register is always going to be your best guide...

You have to look at it this way I say pending is just another thing that tries to make thing easier on others to keep track of what they spend. So when you swipe your card that money is deducted from your balance so you know what you got to spend, BUT not yet cleared there is still a possibility that something can come through that just was not in the budget. A little bank knowledge goes a long way. I understand you spent money you had at the time, but if that merchant takes 3 to 4 business day to deposit or turn in that slip then that transaction falls off the account. Which then leads to the confusion, because that money that was spent suddenly is available again. Thus over spending what you don't have I know first hand keeping tack of every swipe of the card is tiresome, but really it will save you from a great deal of headaches and fees. People need to learn how to take responsibly for their own doing it is not always the BIG BAD bank who is out to get you...

Yea, maybe so, but I'm still not relying on a bank to take care of my money anymore. I'm not a fan of the whole banking institution anyway.

And either way, I made the transactions before I was over drawn. And even if that wasn't the case, then it should be expressed more clearly when money is or isn't there to be used! I know how much money I had in my account, and the pending transactions were made before I was over drawn. I do understand how bank accounts work... and I understand that they work in favor of the banks for the most part. Either way, I'm not keeping my money there

JPMorgan Chase poor customer relations

I just got off the phone with a Chase representative Clint - CREOVB not his last name his operator ID. Having been a Chase customer for several years I was used to the run around with customer call's being sent to the incorrect departmnet. On this call I was now being transfered for the third time. I had received a letter from Chase and used the phone number they provided if there were any questions pertaining to the letter. The operator Clint who is a supervisor let me know during our call that we had been on the phone for 7 1/2 minutes. I was in total disbeleif that any Chase representative let alone a supervisor let a customer know that they were being timed. That my value as a customer was allready at it's max of 7 1/2 minutes. I had valid questions. I certainly spent longer then 7 1/2 minutes while being transfered two times to the incorect department. Clint my representative was not clear on his answers. They only had me asking further questions. What came through with perfect clarity was that I was taking up his time and not letting him speak. His training on listening to a customer's questions was poor. As a customer service supervisor I would think that his job is to help the customer feel satisfied, important and happy too remain a Chase customer. At this he certainly failed.

JPMorgan Chase harrasment by collectors

The last year I struggled with pay cuts etc. I was lucky enough to transfer with my job and received my salary back. During the transition, Chase Custom FInance hassled me, called me 7 days a week and my car payment had not even got to be 30 days late. I am trying to get on my feet again and things are looking great. I spoke to CHase today and the collector told me they are allowed to be rude because they are no in Customer Service and they are there to be objective and that I had been 30 days late 17 times. trust me, if this were the case thesxe ### holes would have repoed it. She also told me that I pay 20% interest because I am high risk and that my loan has not helped me. I told her she should be ashamed of herself and that it is ok for the Taxpayers to bail out the banks but when we all need help it is a different story. I ask anyone who has dealings with chase to contact their local attorney general, the banking commission and lodge a complaint for the harrasment. CHASE IS HORRIBLE AND THEY GET AWAY WITH HARRASING CALLS TO THEIR CUSTOMER'S WORK ETC. ANY COLLECTION TACTIC THEY USE THAT IS ILLEGAL, THEY NEVER HAVE A RECORD.

Actually, according to what I was told by Chase Finance Company, they can start calling one day after the loan is due and continue to call even if you "make arrangements" to pay. I have dealt with them for well over a year myself, injury and illness has kept me out of work, so I don't pay ontime - disability is slow to pay - Generally, I just hang up on them, after I point out that I've already spoken to someone and I will NOT borrow money from someone to pay them. I have a year to go on my loan and believe me I am trying to get done sooner. Never again will I accept a loan from this company and I will discourage everyone I know to avoid them. The best way to get them is to hit'em in their the pocketbook.

JPMorgan Chase getting car registered

I moved from Las Vegas to New York state and I need to get my car registered. On Feb. 11, 2010 I go to nys dmv and get all info to get car registered. I then fax it to my chase auto representive. As of today March 9, 2010 I have not been able to drive my car because CHASE can't seem to get this copy of title (certifed) and they say they cant release a statement letting the nys dmv that its ok to register my car in new york state. Then Chase decides to hold my copy of my title becuase marches car payment is due and its 10 days late, which they don't understand that if i can't register my car, i can't drive to work, so i then make no money. After one month of this fighting with them their payment is in the mail and they still can't get faxing a copy of the title to the nys dmv. I have know have to wait another week for the corporate office to get another copy and letter made so I can then try to register this car for the 6th time in a month and a half. Now when I call Chase they tell me the paper work has been faxed, but when i talk to the dmv it has NOT been faxed. Why is such a huge corporate company giving me the run around and not doing what is so smiple. I will never go through Chase auto finances again.

JPMorgan Chase allowed fraudulent charges on my acct now refuses to refund my money

I had a fraudulent charge go through my acct back in June of 2009. The # listed on my statement next to the charge was not a valid #. So I phoned Chase bank, they refunded my money and the insufficient fees back to my account gave me a new card and I thought wow that was easy. then a month later with no notice what so ever my account was negative, because Chase bank re-reversed all the fees causing me another $140 in overdraft fees so now the total is $334.31. I spoke with Chase numerous times trying to get the info that the merchant supposedly gave them, because Chase told me that if I should proof of the refund from the merchant then they would refund the insufficient fees back to my account. Chase told me its in the mail, they would email it to me and NOTHING. So I finally went into a local branch where they told me they could do NOTHING for me. I told them I wanted a # to the merchant and that I was not leaving until I got one. They gave me an 800# which was not valid, but somehow this 800 # new the # I needed to call. I called and called and demanded my money back from them they would continue to hang up on me over and over again. Finally, i researched and wrote to the Attorney General's office and what do you know I received a check in the mail from the merchant for $89.31 and I have faxed over all the info showing proof of the refund to Chase twice in the last 5 days and still no refund. I called today and they transferred me to a telephone banker for the refund. The lady is now saying that she can not refund MY MONEY to me because it is over 120 days. CHASE BANK has the WORST customer service in the world. I don't know why anyone would want to be a customer there. They are probably working with these scams for a kickback. I would like to know what kind of legal action I can take against Chase for my refund?

JPMorgan Chase lost card

My credit card was lost and it was used to purchase goods several times. I called cs and disputed the unauthorized charges. they promised to investigate and give me credit for those charges. According their policy customer is not responsible for fraudulent charges. After the investigation I got a letter that the charges where legit and they will not give me credit. I called them at least 5 times to get an explanation about their decision. they promise to send a letter, but never did...what a treatment!
