JPMorgan Chase crooked beyond crooked

I went to the bank and deposited my husband's beneficiary check. The teller said there would be a hold on the account to release the money. I would get part now, and in a few days would have the rest.

Next morning, I get up check my account. Just like the man said there was 4000 dollars in my account. During that day I watched as my account went from 4300 dollars, up to 14, 000 dollars, up to 25, 000 dollars. Should have never been more than 14, 000.

Got up the next morning...all but 52 dollars of my money was gone. The bank pulled it all out and put a hold on everything including the money I had before the deposit. My son lost out on his 16th birthday a Trip to Disneyland, and we still can't get our money.

Chase is a bunch of crooks. If someone else did this, they would go to jail, but Chase is hiding behind their guise as a bank. In reality my money makes money for them, so they want to hold it as long as humanly possible.

After talking in depth with chase, I found out that they can extend the hold on my money up to 15 business days. Even after the 15 days if someone in the office decides to.

Don't bank with Chase, They are crooked beyond crooked. They will steal you blind.

JPMorgan Chase changed fixed to variable apr

Been banking with Chase for years with no problems. Today they changed my fixed rate credit card to variable rate. I opted to reject the changes and they closed my account on the spot. I've got a spotless credit history across the board. The representative said all of their credit card accounts are changing to variable. I'm in the process of closing all 3 of my remaining accounts and will never do business with them again.

JPMorgan Chase appaling service

EMC Mortgage Corporation is part of the JP Morgan Chase group of companies. I had my mortgage with them until recently when I paid it off. During the payoff process, I needed to contact them on issues relating to Satisfaction and Release of Mortgage documents, Statement of Interest etc. This company is headquartered in Lewisville, Texas and the customer service phone # is [protected]. For four (4) months-yes, can you believe it 4 months, I have been calling this number to speak to a Customer Service person. Firstly, you are required to answer all of the automated telephone prompts before you can hope to speak to a live person. Finally, you are asked to enter the last 4 digits of your social, and when you do this the system will unfailingly end your call. I tried from both cell and lan phones on repeated occasions and the result was always the same -call termination. When I finally got through on one occasion to an operator, I expressed my utter frustration about the repeated 'cut off', and she acknowledged that they were aware of the problem, and that an appropriate department was supposedly working on it. This problem continues to this day. The length of time you are placed on hold-if you do get through- rivals a level of incompetence and poor customer service anywhere in this country. These crowd are appaling. The other disgraceful tactic the customer service staff employ is transferring you within departments and never alerting you to the transfer-again resulting in more frustration. For your sanity, please do not consider doing business with EMC Mortgage Corporation. This outfit is now a member company of the JP Morgan Chase group and probably is reflective of the overall level of service you can expect to receive within that company, period. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself a massive headache.

I work for a lawfirm. JP Morgan Chase had recorded the same mortgage twice -- a year apart. When we paid off the mortgage, we instructed them that they MUST satisfy both open mortgages of record. They have satisfied the latter one, but refuse to satisfy the first one. The latter one is not a corrective mortgage or anything like that. It is simply a re-recorded copy of the original mortgage. We have sent written demand to satisfy, but to no avail. Next step is a lawsuit. I cannot find a person or contact to deal with this at Chase. I sit on hold for hours, with no assistance. Any advice what to do?

JPMorgan Chase response to delecia mcmichael

I have been requesting an updated copy of my annual escrow account disclosure statement for the last past year and a half. I have been transfer to office to office each time I call.. I have written several letters and sent them with my payment so I could tell if the letter was recieved when my account was deducted for my loan payment... I even tried restricted mail to be sign off when received but I have not even heard back any information from chase... I have been paying this loan since 2005 and I would like to make sure my records are the same... I am showing just a few months left on this loan but I really feel that this loan was been paid off and I am now getting shamed... I didnt want to make this out of an legal issue but times are bad now and I cant afford to put money in a company pocket when I feel like im the one that is begin ripped off...

JPMorgan Chase interest rate increase

It is not enough that we have all been enduring the challenges of this deceiving economy, however, Chase has decided to continue the financial massacre and continue to kick us while we are down by increasing their interest rates to dispicable levels. This is utterly and astronomically ludicrous. Chase is taking advantange of this economic downfall by putting their consumers in a catch 22 situation. I received a notice yesterday which will be effective December 1st, that my interest rate will be increased by 50%. I have been a Chase Visa holder, I have never been late on a payment, and this is the manner in which they choose to repay their loyal customers - these actions are nothing less than pure absurdity. The generous option that Chase included in their notification was that if I did not agree with the new terms, that I could close my account. Well, it is clear that they DO NOT want my business - however, someone else will. I am competely on board to join a class action suit if enough people are interested and being affected by this 'kick in the gutt' move that Chase is exercising! Damaris

JPMorgan Chase unbelievalbe

I could spend an hour explaining all of the unbelievable things that have happened to me since the switch from WAMU to Chase, but I have already spent too much of my precious time speaking with rude, unhelpful employees in all sorts of departments. So now I am choosing to be a little unprofessional. I want to make a bumper sticker that says "Chase is a rapist" and plaster it everywhere. Hopefully it will deter people from opening a new account with Chase and give courage to present account holders to take their money and run. I want to start a grass roots campaign to shut this societal menace down.

JPMorgan Chase rude customer service is

This complaint has been going on for 3 months . It start when i filled for insurance claim fo hail damage . State farm tired to total car but i didnt want to do that so i took salvage price . Insteady i got the check with other insurance company they make it out to you then you make repairs on what you want to do . I called because the check was not only made out to meand chase . Chase back on 42nd st odessa, tx the branch manager came out and spoke with me told me that i would have to have the car completed and the the check would be made out to he company that fixed . But she wanted to make sure that was right and call the chase finance company at the 1800 #
got a rep that info us to send the check by fed ex to a po box # in fort worth, tx and that they would sign it and send it back the branch manager was as shock as i was . But i sent it off to make matters worse it was a nightmare they lost the check and i had to send another one back fed to physical address in fort worth, tx in two days i called to see if they had check and they couldnt find it for several days. i ran into some problems got laid off just 10 days lateon my pament an they would call 20 times a day but know one knew were the insurance check went. It was found i was info that the account had to be current before they would send check to the auto repair shop. that was fine in understand that but then when it was current i had al's auto repair to call chase to find what all they need so he could get the check and get paid becasue i had caught the account. they info him that they didnt have a account under are insurance check . I finally had to call after the body shop having my car fo a week and a half. Finally i spoke with manager think they would get the fax they we had sent to them several times . The manager Paul never called . I finally got it settled but i had to threaten to get a lawyer involved . To sum things up if you avoid dealing with Chase Bank are getting any car are house... I would stop and think about in my issues with them managers sup and 200 customer service know one could help you couldn't get anyone to call you back ...very rude i dont know how they still have customer . They can be the last company on earth i will never get anyting finance through CHASE again .

Chase is horrid. They will not work with you when you lose income and are willing to pay the car, but unable to pay the high price they put on the loan. Maybe we all need a bailout in America for those that have lost higher paying jobs and, although working again, now make 4-5.00 an hour less. We tried working with them and only received rude customer service. We tried setting up automatic deductions from checking account, only to have them say it didn't go through yet, the bank shows no attempt even made. They showed up this morning to repo my husband's car and, now, we are going through a hassle of sending all financials to them, only for them to "decide" on whether we can have the car back--with fees. It is a Kia so, you would think they would be wise and know that, it isn't worth close to what the loan is for with the interest rate being what it is. There are so many options a bank can do to help consumers in our economy to keep their car and avoid the company from losing money and going to auction. Even if they bill us for the remainder of the car, we can't pay it with the fees now attached--and will be forced to file bankruptcy. This all could be avoided with a payment plan as, we are very willing to do that. They don't want to. They are not willing to listen to the circumstances and try to work with the consumer so both don't lose out. I hope no one falls for the advert that they give to consumers--there when you need us..ha! Only if you don't fall into the American economy problems and the loss of jobs we have here. I will be telling everyone I know of this experience so that, they don't go through chase for mortgage, car, etc. They only like perfect people with perfect lives to go through them. Good luck finding those people in today's economy.

JPMorgan Chase increasing overdraft fees & frequency

Wamu prior to be taken over by Chase had a maximum of three (3) Overdraft fee charges per day. Chase now has changed this policy and charges you regardless

I have an overdrawn amount of $264 which mostly composed of small $6~$24 charges. I tried to balance the account by transferring an amount online from my savings. Low and behold the transfer wasnt even taken in even on the next biz day. The CS rep said online transfers need a 24hour period to reflect (which again was different to how Wamu did it) so its as if I didnt try to balance it

End of story? I will be charged 12x$34 overdraft fees $408 to be exact which is way up and above the overdraft to begin with.

If anyone has a class action suit for Chase please post it here. Or if you have any other better banks other than Wells Fargo or Bank of America, please post it here

Chase only wants accounts with large balances. If you account is just barley above the minimums required to avoid fees, Chase will single you out and increase your minimums required. They will force you to close your account to avoid more fees. Chase attacks the financially weak with unwarranted fees.

Thank you uncaring Chase for making a bad financial situation worse. I hope someone messes with you elderly parents too.

for $15 I was charged the over draft after my account was closed and debit card was cancelled, they are not able to tell where the debit card was used, as they had it cancelled . yet try to cheat my money threat me to damage my credit score. I have to pay $117 @ $35 /week and $15 for the purchase that I never made.
Banks cheat you cannot do any thing, they cheat for their lords make them rich when loose money public money save them to let them cheat public for ever.When profit only for few, otherwise curse for all. CITIZENS BANK cheated me we need a credit score for banks so that they cannot blackmail customers

i agree on the side of maggie that it was yourself that took the moneyout as an overdraft, but to make yo pay for everytime was a bit out of order, you should have read up on the smallprint before you took the overdraft option. dont be sueing them as this is exactly what the bank will come baxck with. (just in a smarter response, probably involving a very expensive lawyer, maybe even using some he money you owe them?)

JPMorgan Chase changed fixed apr to variable rate

They changed a fixed apr they had on a balance transfer they did...
I mentioned to them that, I did not receive the change of terms in the mail, they increased my rate from fixed apr from 6.99 to 12.44%.

No late payments, nothing like that, so I talked to a Manager today Gail, and told her that I would like to increase my payment instead of paying more interest, they told me that there is nothing they can work out.

So closed my account today and will no longer be banking with them.

Anyone thinking about using their fixed APR prmotions! Please be aware!

I also had a chase credit card. fixed rate of 8% recieved in the mail an opt out. close the account and freeze the rate. agreeded opt out and closed the account all three accounts. never a late payment, always on time and paid more than the amount due. two months later... recieved the monthly payment with an interest rate of 21% on a fixed 8%. i called chase and asked what was going on. i opt out and closed the account and that was to freeze the interest rates. their responce was "We sent out another letter to OPT out of the OPT out and you didnt respond to it. so that reversed the opt out. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? REALLY? How can that be legal?

JPMorgan Chase unethical fees

I have had several banks in my life, and have been fairly satisfied. I switched to Chase a few years ago because my mortgage was with them. I have come to realize that Chase is the most unethical and corrupt bank out there. They are thieves and preying on people especially in this difficult economy.

Last week I was out of town and used my debit card at a cafe at the hotel we were staying at. My account was low but I was getting paid in a couple days and have direct deposit. I had more than enough to cover the two small debits at the cafe. I knew this for sure because the cafe had a computer for customers to use so I checked my balance. There were no other pending transactions other than the two small transactions at the cafe I had put through. When I got home that evening, I checked my online banking again and noticed that there was another transaction pending from later in the day from the toll authority. Apparently my transponder on my car was low on tolls so the toll authority put through an automatic debit without any warning. My account did not have enough in it that day to cover the toll authority debit so I knew I would be charged one fee. The toll authority charge was listed after the two small cafe debits so the toll charge was the last debit of the day and the only one that would have caused an overdraft. I accepted the one fee and had no problem paying it. But after my payroll check was direct deposited, I noticed Chase had charged me 3 overdraft fees for a total of $105.00. I looked again at my online banking account and noticed that Chase had rearranged the order of the debits and put the toll authority debit before the two small cafe debits. This switch in order gave Chase the opportunity to hit me with 3 fees instead of the one. I was furious and I called their customer service department. I told them that I knew they had rearranged the sequence of the debits which maximized their fees against me and they ADMITTED TO IT. They said they can arrange them however they choose without regard for the order the debits actually came through. I could not believe what I was hearing. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told the same thing, that basically they can do this, it is not illegal and to bad so sad. I am closing my account and moving to a credit union when I get my next paycheck. I called one bank, which is actually a bank I used a few years ago, and they asked me what bank I was leaving. I told them Chase and she laughed and said they have tons of exChase customers coming over. Do not use Chase, they are thieves. I am also writing my state government to find out if what Chase is doing is legal and if so why! The greed of this bank is unbelievable. Instead of another bank, I have decided to go with a credit union after hearing great things about them from other people.

Credit unions are not for profit so they don't have the billions for advertising like the big banks do so most people including myself did not really know the benefits of the credit unions. THEY AREN'T OUT TO STEAL THE HARD EARNED MONEY OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC like the banks are.

JPMorgan Chase loan modification

We applied for a modification last year. It is an FHA loan. We were approved for a 6 month partial claim with FHA. after that again we applied for mod. and they sent a temporary forebeareance agreement for 3 mos. we were to pay this to get caught up. We still had not heard anything about our loan mod still.we sighned the agrement and paid for 3 mos. I called Chase to find out if a decision was made on the modification and I kept getting cut off or rerouted. I was also told at one call that they are running behind and it would be advisiable for us to send in another payment for Oct. Our agreement was for 3ms. Untill a deciasion was made we would need to make 8 more payments. I contacted a mortgage counselor and he is unable to get anywhere with this bank. I do understand about the Rescue 21 Bill. but I don't think Chase does. Meanwhile I kepp seeing them advertise on the Today Show that they are helping people save their homes. All I get is excuses and runarounds. They will not talk to me when I say to them that I am also recording the conversation they just hang up. They said I was not authorized to talk about the account when I sent in numerous 3rd party verification forms . I wish to save our home not argue about it. We cannot pay for Nov. payment. After the 15th it will be late and our home will go into foreclosure. We will have 6 mos. Jason from the Fort Myers, Office suggested short sale. But we were told that was like rolling craps. I could rent for cheaper and avoid all the stress.

Chase Home Finance has been the worst company I have had the displeasure to work with. They have lost our paperwork several times for our modification and have even lost one of our payments that I have verified they cashed. This modification process has been going on nearly 2 years. We just received a call today 12/2/2009 asking for our paperwork yet again. I advise ANYONE who has a loan or credit card from them to get a refi to another company or transfer your balance over to a new card. These ###ed people shouldn't be allowed to obtain anyone else's money.

Chase approved my loan modification and after 3 months of no contact from chase and no credit for my payments, I called them after receiving intent to forclose and they pulled my modification without a reason and said they would be in contact with me after reviewing my modification. They have seriously poor services and im finding this breach of contract illegal but dont know who to turn to for help. I have lived here 2+ years and they have been a major pain and now want to take my home. I am finding after some research that im just one of many people with this problem.

Have been going through the loan modification process since 12-09 with Chase Bank only to have them stall for enough time that the information I submitted expired. Every time I call to check on the status I am told that they need additional information which I send certified mail and also fax to them using my Chase branch to fax this information, receiving verification of the fax. Now I am told my file has been CLOSED. I cannot find out who closed my file, no one will return my phone calls. This is such a scam. Chase is not going to help anyone.

I have been trying a loan modification since 2008 and it has been denied without even a reason about 5 times since then.
During the first 2 loan modifications I was actually up to date on my loan but after not being listened to and hearing from other people that I should stop paying the mortage I did.
It has now been 3 years, fighting with Chase and getting the run-around.
SInce then my credit has gone to hell, my income is lower, my house is worth less than half what my loan is, and I’m in default over 30k.
I feel completely tricked by Chase… and after seeing the Documentary “Inside Job” (won an oscar) it totally makes sense to me!
The banks are pretty much betting against their own loans and making money from defaults.

I’m about to cry after hearing one 5th time that my loan modification was denied because the application was incomplete. I too have kept a log of every conversation and every paperwork sent.

I’d love to find a good lawyer that can represent me.

My house is in Miami, FLorida.
I’ve been told at this point I can try another loan modification or a payment plan with the bank but a payment plan would actually increase my monthly payment so that’s pointless.

Do you have any suggestions? Anyone else in Florida?

I feel like I have a very strong case to sue the bank... beginning with the fact that my loan shouldn't even have happened... it's one of those the banks tagged as a good loan knowing it would probably end up in default and on top of that I was a good-paying customer until 2008 when Chase themselves advised me that a loan modification would not happen unless I was in default so I stopped paying... they tricked me into defaulting and then wasted 3 years until I had enough debt that I'd have to be forced to lose my home.

I applied for a hardhip modification back in 2009. I was approved but have had nothing but problems since. The first year of payments went ok, so I thought, until one day in May 2010, when I got a letter stating that I owed over
$4, 000.00 in interest. I called customer service, was transfered to another dept, then transfered again, and again and again. Finally, having enough of the run around and lack of help, I sent a letter to the President of the Home Finance Dept. A Supervisor got in touch with me and after almost a year, she finally got things straightened out. Turned out, my payments were not being posted to the interest but principle. After 3 years of payments going fine, once again, my interest this month went up, according to the modification, and guess what? I get on line to make a payment and notice that my amount due for May is over $2, 100.00 since Oct of 2010. So what have they been doing with my payments if it is not going towards the interest?! From looking at the statements, payments are not going towards my principle either! Once again, I called customer service. They transfered me to another dept. then another, and here we go again.. If I could refinance this loan with another bank, I would and might even give it a shot to see if that is possible in todays economy. I am not about to go through this crap again with Chase and the unknowledgable people they have working for them. Half the time I can't understand what they are saying and have to ask them to repeat themselves. Once again I will contact the President of Home Finance. I have had enough. For such a big bank one would think they would have people working for them that know what the heck is going on. But then again, they are the bank that just lost Billions!

This Mail is to bring your kind attention that the service what i have got from your employees end is the worst i had ever got from any bank.I personally am a banker but i have always followed up with my customers requirement and tried to fulfill the same as an when required.

I lost my wallet in month of February.Immediately I called your Customer service Dept to block the card.After the police complain lodged in Al Meena station i was able to get me wallet back in some ten days time.Again i gave a call back in your call center in order to unblock the card.From That time onwards i been asking for some or other documents and i have been providing that, In the same time i have following the same with your call center executives who are of no use on the activation.They always promise me some or other thing which never gets delivered.My concern is that I have using your Company credit card from quite sometime now and always been a good customer.If your company doesn't wants to unblock my card please cancel the same and refund me my credit amount.

Also when i was talking to one of your SCR i was told that you can cancel the card, Mind your language etc etc.What i am trying to send the message to you that UAE market is a competitive market.There are lots of bank and financial institutions which can offer the cards and the loans to the customers but only that company is able to capture the market who not only believes in sales but service also.Hope i am clear on the same..

Please do let me know if my card is getting unblocked or not, and please try to improve the customer service.rather than retaining the customers your people are letting them go.

My wife and I put in for a loan modification thorough Chase and it was the worst thing we ever done in our lives, so please take heed. Our home was not up-side down, we never been late on payments, and had excellent credit. We simply had no money left month to month. We were house poor, but were not delinquent on anything. From the time we asked for relief, Chase began treating us like they were a collection agency. They got all our information of hardship, and then proceeded to damage our credit so no one else would do business with us. They originally appraised our home at $400, 000, how they list the value on their web site at $220, 000. They put us in an escrow and said they paid our insurance and tax, but they didn’t. Thank God we followed up and paid it ourselves. A lot of people got messed up with that one and wound up with insurance lapses. They also cut our line of credit, back-dating it hoping some checks would bounce by the time we got the letter in the mail. Beware! Chase will drag you around with no intention of helping you. Please do not put in for a modification. If you have no other recourse, unfortunately the best thing to do is sell it or walk from it. Dealing with Chase for help, you will definitely be worse off. If you are current with bills and have good credit, but you’re simply house poor, It will be the worst thing you possible could do.

JPMorgan Chase excessive calls

Regarding Chase VISA:

I was recently placed on full disability and could not pay my Chase Visa bill past month. It seems pretty clear, that with all the late fees, penalties, and resulting raise in interest, I will not be able to pay this month’s payment either. I have explained such to the dear Credit Card Company. I also have a Chase auto loan, and have NEVER been late on this payment. Yet, for the past three weeks, Chase Visa has called my home every hour, without fail, from 8am until 9pm, all 7 days a week.

I talked to them, and I told them the issues I am having. When it became clear that I was not going to make enough income for a little while to even qualify for their "hardship" program, they said that someone would check back in with me in a few days. I said then, please, please...can you stop with those calls?

The calls started back two days later. I told the same story. My disability hadn't changed. No publisher's clearinghouse. No Second Coming...Nada...Zip

I am being advised, by Chase, that I must either send a Cease and Desist letter or pay my bill. Otherwise, they will keep calling. If no one picks up...they will call back in one hour...they’ve got people...

I told them that my blind 90 year old mother has to get up, find the phone, often burning her hands on the stove in the process because it's right next to the phone.

I told them that my paraplegic niece has to take her wheelchair dangerously near the swimming pool to help my mother out of her rocker to get to the phone...

I told them I have Swine Flu and am on a ventilator (one of those new ones that let you talk, but not get up to answer the phone), and that's why my niece has to get my mother out of the rocker to anwer the phone...

Chase doesn't have nieces, 90 year old mothers, or swine flu..

I talked to them again. This time the call had been outsourced to a non-English speaking Southeasterner (maybe a solder in a Fayetteville jail?...just thinking out loud here). Now...I have lived in the Southern US...I can understand the language ok...can even speak a little when pressed...but I wouldn't pay someone to make calls for my business who obviously was raised without shoes on his little cat bit feet)...

They are the only creditor are behind on right now and it's really THEIR fault it ended up that way. It ended up being them because they tacked on huge late fees at 3 days late, which made us go over our limit...which AS EVERYONE KNOWs with Chase, is the kiss of death to that low introductory interest rate...so the card is a disaster...they know I am disgusted, and they won't play nice. (We are talking three weeks past due here.)

For such a major player, I am surprised they need to resort to asinine bullying tactics for penny ante accounts like mine.

Hi Maggie, I appreciate the time you took to read the comment, but I guess my tone was probably a little too sarcastic for the humor to come through...people who know me think it's hilarious...
The complaint is real...the story about mom and niece are dramatic fabrications.

I can't write the letter. The letter they ask for is a denial that I owe the money...which is not true...and would set me up for some nasty proceedings...which of course...is what they already know.

The point is that calling every hour is considered harrassment. It is a bullying tactic.
I have become disabled (that part IS true and not my fault). Chase will not offer a lower payment BECAUSE I DON'T MAKE ENOUGH MONEY ON DISABILITY to pay even that (we did the whole equation on the phone and they denied the "hardship" program...because I am experiencing "too much" hardship.) They are hoping I roll over and borrow the money from someone, as you suggested...but I think I would rather owe it to villian.

This morning when the nice lady advised me that the call would be recorded, I advised her that I would be recording it as well. She said that, in that case, she would have to disconnect the call. Before she did disconnect...I further advised her that I would be answering every all...every hour, on the hour, every day...and I would be recording every one of them. That was four hours ago...No calls yet.

JPMorgan Chase do not ever go to chase

If you read my report and still don't leave Chase Auto Finance or avoid them if you don't already do business with them, then be prepared for what you will get for ignoring me.

I financed a new car with Chase in March '09. In September '09 I added another new car to Chase, so I had two auto finance accounts. To make a very, very long story short, Chase Bank did something that was very unprofessional that hurt my credit so I closed my checking account and decided to move my auto accounts to other banks.

My other bank sent Chase Auto Finance a check for Car A, and Chase paid off Car B. Both banks have said that it's my problem and I have now spent over two months trying to get Chase to reopen the account for the car that wasn't paid off and pay off the correct car. I am now paying three car payments for two cars. Car A at Chase is being paid and Car B is being paid at both banks.

So you say this isn't possible. They have to fix this. Well, all I can tell you is that you have not seen a level of incompetence like that at Chase Auto Finance until you see it with your own eyes. I have been told that it would be fixed in 7 business days, THREE TIMES NOW! It's still not fixed and I doubt it will be until I finally just start suing both banks.

I've had multiple days ruined arguing with these people all day on the phones. They've sent me letters halfway through the 7 day periods that they say they will fix the account asking for things that they've already asked for and received. It's the most unbelievably simple mess to fix if you are competent.

CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED! CHASE AUTO FINANCE IS AN AWFUL BUSINESS TO DEAL WITH! I've never been late on a payment and they treat me like dirt and talk down to me. I hope they go bankrupt and all of those ### lose their jobs for what they're doing to people. And by the way, Chase Bank is the reason that all of this even started. They are as bad as Chase Auto Finance. These people are ###. Stay away!

That's very disrespectful and ignorant that you would say that you hope everyone who works there lose their jobs especially in the economy that we are in now. You know what will happen is they will get unemployment and other government assitence that you will pay for with taxes too. Now yes, it sucks what happens, but business has rules and procedures just like any other business out there, so the people have to work with what they have. I'm pretty sure whereever you may work, there are rules that you do not agree with but you do them because that's your job. Like I said what happened to you, yea that sucks, that bank should have helped you a little more, but don't say you hope everyone looses their job.

JPMorgan Chase mysterious rising balance

So I'm a Wamu cardholder stuck with Chase now. Just started reviewing some statements, and realized that my balance on purchases is actually rising! Kind of odd since the account is closed, and there has been nothing purchased for a while. So what was at 262.00 dollars is now at 311.00 dollars, this is with me paying over the minimum payment. So I call and Email Chase, I should have just bashed my head into a wall. The results would have been better. The rep actually said " don't pay attention to the average daily balance for purchases" just look at the overall total since the first figure is not correct. So I ask what is the correct balance, and she begins with the same line again "don't pay attention to the average daily balance for purchases". I have logged a complaint with the BBB. Everyone should, and if you have another bad experience do it again. It becomes harassing to the business because they have to address it. Also start recording your calls with them and post them on youtube.

If you can get away from this bank, do so immediately. I would not piss on these people if they were on fire.

JPMorgan Chase deception, fraud

November 5, 2009

I think it would be wise for anyone who has sought modification and been denied by chase bank to read this-

I am at my wits end. We have you been trying to obtain a mortgage modification through chase bank. We first asked to refinance, but they said based on our returns, we would have no choice but to do a modification. That was back in mid march when interest rates were about 4.125. Like many people in this country, we have been hit hard by the recession. Our retail art sales are down about fifty percent and we were wiped out at an outdoor venue in june of 08 at a show in evanston illinois by a tornado, among other things. This is an unbelievable story but completely true ….

Chase bank recently said they were denying our request, although they will not provide anything in writing as to why. We applied for the modification 7 month ago. We have sent hundreds of documents (Which started in tx, went to oh, and are currently in ny), made over 80 phone calls, been transferred to dozens of people, and fulfilled every stipulation that both the help for homeowners program and the bank requires. At first we were told that our file would be processed after those in imminent danger of defaulting were helped; fair enough. We have been waiting now over a half a year.
The rules of the help for home owners program and those written on chase banks website are:
1. You have to live in the home.
2. You had to have received the mortgage prior to january 21, 2009
3. Your current mortgage has to be between at least 31 and 40 percent of your income
4. Your mortgage (Debt, first and second mortgage) must be at least 70 percent of the value of the property. And
5. Show financial hardship.
We qualify on all fronts.

We qualify for the modifation but because we have never defaulted and have high credit scores, they have no financial incentive to do so. They would rather gamble on us not defaulting than give us this modification. This is blatant corporate bad faith at a time when they are suppose to be helping us.
The link on their website that gives home values is actually a program by bling/microsoft. Chase are subscriber end users, which means they can go through their subscriber control panel and change home values. When we started this process this past march, our home showed a value of 395, 000 on their website. Strangely, the number was recently changed to 790, 000. Hmmmm, who could have done that? The lot which they refer to on their map is not even ours. Our home is located nearly a quarter mile down the road. If the numbers were changed to try and avoid helping me, it’s fraud and conspiracy.
They said that they "estimated" our home value at around 100 percent more than it was appraised for in 2007 (we have the written appraisal, ironically from a chase certified appraiser from 2007). This was at the height of the market. Yet they have never appraised the property for its current value. I have comparables of properties sold in the last six months. None are showing a value over 380, 000.

The ‘supervisor’ at chases modification department ; mr. Steve perino/pelino [protected] ext. 70170 (They consistently refuse to give me last names or extension numbers, unless by accident) can give me no legitimate reason for the denial, nor has he agreed to fulfill the modification even with a new, chase certified appraisal. He has so far refused to request a current appraisal, even though i’ve offered to pay for one. They will not provide anything in writing (this is a national bank we’re talking about here), nor will they let me speak to a higher up. I called the international office in ny. I was put through to mr. Brian lehmann at the home mortgage executive office for chase bank in new york [protected]). He refused to “create a research escalation” that would “only result in denial”, that “nothing could be done” and “I should resubmit a new application”. When I asked him if he would provide written notice of denial and the reason why, he refused. I said, “but you’re my bank, why would you not give me something in writing.” he would not continue any conversation with me. He told me “ this is the top, except for ceo jamie dimon, this is the final decision.”
On tuesday october 27, I attempted to speak with you. Your secretary, ms. Kathy will, transferred me to ms. Gloria marshall-figeroa in chicago. Ms. Marshall could only apologize profusely, saying “oh my gosh, I am sooo sorry”, over and over. She asked me not to send out a packet of letters I have addressed to 20/20, nbc nightline, etc. She would get back to me the next day. I still haven’t heard a word.
Due to her lack of attention I have sent out those packets and am awaiting an interview with various people.
To date they have never provided anything in writing as to my progress or status.
I have already filed formal complaints with the ftc personal finance consumer department, the occ (Office of the controller of currency) the bbb and the federal treasury (Who referred me back to the occ). I am currently filing a report with you. This process has taken up no less than 200 hours of my time not counting sleepless nights and tension headaches. There is no way to put a price on the emotion suffering i’ve had to endure. To add salt to the wound, I receive mail from them at least once a month telling us we are “valued” customers and we qualify for a “streamline modification”. I have done everything asked of me and they refuse help me or even tell me why. I am afraid to think there may be hundreds of others in the state possibly thousands in the country getting the 'stall' as well.in testimony given to the house financial services committe e this past february by mr dimon, chase was taking “proactive approaches to helping homeowners” and were “communicating” with them. I hardly think so.
I believe I have documentation which clearly spells out bad faith, deception conspiracy and fraud throughout the last seven months. This has very serious implications, both state and nation wide.
Ps this morning I got a call from someone named brian who said they would be ordering an appraisal. Hmm, just one day before they are required to respond to the bbb. Feels like too little, too late. We are in the process of filing a class action suit

I am all in for a Class Action against Chase Mortgage. We have been submitting and resubmitting since 2009. We finally were on a trial period last October for a modified amount. CHASE MRTG. decided we had missed a payment and cancelled the modification in February 2012 WITHOUT telling us until mid-June. I proved to them we had made all the payments, they apologized profusely and turned around and said the paperwork was now too old and the Underwriters won't accept it and we have to fill out the entire package again! Hell no. No one person is ever in charge at Chase Mrtg. We get calls and letters from different people all the time telling us they are our NEW loan specialist. We are now communicating with the Exec. Office (supposedly) but are still in limbo after 3+ yrs.

Here in Chicago suburbs going through the same thing. We've been in the modification process forEIGHTEEN months. Sent Chase every document under the sun numerous times. Despite contacting my "relationship manager" several times weekly asking if there were any other documents being requested and each time being told that no other documents were needed, we were declared ineligible because we didn't send in the documents Chase requested. The last letter we received from Chase asked us to send in the "following documentation:" followed by a blank with no documents listed. We called them and were told to send in four documents which were faxed to them immediately (and which, by the way, were previously submitted). We're going through the process again starting from scratch. Has a class action suit been filed yet? We're ready to join.

I am interested in a class action law suit. I have a lengthy story and been waiting 14 months for a loan mod...still making trial payments..STILL told to "be patient" blah blah blah...contacted [protected] told them I contacted Scott Brown.. (I am from Mass) and CNN...this is clearly a fraudulent issue...take our money...apply it to a slush fund? Get bad credit...i could have done a straight re-finance back on Feb 2009 from 7.6% to 4.6% but I chose the MHA program...NEVER knew it would be a nightmere!

Hey, same situation. Awaiting approval since Aug 09. Run around. I keep inquiring about status. Reps have key words like accelerate, assign negotiator/analyst. I have been issued summons for foreclosure. Sale date is Apr 15, 20o9. I have sent in triat pauyments since Aug 09. Nothing resolved. Just taking my money and it appears that they are going to foreclose. But yet, I called again today, 4 Jan 09 and was told that I have been accelerated...to what? Meidation is scheduled for 4 Feb 09. Why do I need to mediate? There is something totally amiss in the procedure. Sent documents twice. Received another letter saying I needed to sent documents again...oh...computer generated...ignore. Scary.

Same situation here too. It seems that our modification was denied between the 1st and 2nd payments of our trial modification. But get this, they didnt tell me it was denied until I called 3 weeks after the 3rd payment was made! I'm more than pissed. They can have the house being upside down in this market, I'll walk away from it, I swear.

JPMorgan Chase threats of financial ruin

I posted here before, actually last night or early morning hours, about the unfair practices that Chase Bank has been deligently applying upon it's customers lately. I explained their practices in general and I posted my complaint resultant to actions Chase bank took upon me. This is an update to my earlier complaint. I again called Chase a little while ago for the purpose to ask what is the legal statutes that gave them the right to do what they did. I was looking for the legal laws that allow them to do what they did and not just their own statements that the disclosures gave them the rights. Because I feel that their disclosures, written by their own people is not the law of the land and does not give them rights in itself to mess with people. Well, I talked to a customer rep from Chase and I made certain inquiries regarding to who is the CEO of chase & I was told that that is privileged information and could not be disclosed to me: I asked for the specific laws govergning their acts or to be put through to their legal dept & I was told that I am not allowed to contact their legal dept and that they have a right to do whatever they want or see fit to do with any cardholder's account. So in my frustration, I told the rep that I was going to post all over the internet about what they did to me & I was then told that if I do any such thing, Chase will make it a point to buy out all off my credit accounts regardless of who owns them and then raise my interst rates, lower my limits to what is owed and consequently close the accounts. How can they do this and what can I do about this new threat from Chase Bank?

You didnt read too well. I didnt take an account w/Chase. I stayed away from them! They started buying out all accounts I had w/other creditors .

JPMorgan Chase closing accts w/out notice

Chase bank is deliberately ruining peoples' credit! They bought out wamu, then went around closing the accounts without notice. I had a wamu acct in good standing and was making my payments on time on all of my credit cards, suddenly chase came and reduced the limit to what was owed on the account and raised my interest rate to over 30%. As a result of that action, my other creditors lowered limits on my cards. Two months later, chase came and closed another wamu card I had that had a zero balance, and they did not call 1st or send me notification 1st, they sent notification after they closed the account. When I called and asked why they closed the account, they gave me 2 reasons: 1. Because you have not charged anything on the account 2. You are in defualt with another creditor. I pulled my credit reports from all 3 major credit reporting agencies and saw what I already knew: that I have never been in default with anyone in my entire life! I also noticed that my credit score went down a whopping 300 points thanks to chase. Consequently, 3 other creditors closed my accounts and when I called to ask why, I learned that they were following chase's action, so in other words, chase made them think I was doing something wrong and they panicked and closed my accounts. Chase bank bought out wamu, put themselves in big debt by taking that action, then got a whopping lump sum to be bailed out by the govt, then that wasn't enough because they are closing everyones' accounts and making the consumers pay for their debt that they (Chase) themselves took on. Anyone who reads this should be aware that president obama has opened a direct line to his office and wants to hear from us citizens. Google "how to email president obama directly" and you will come to a link that, once opened, will bring you to president obama's website and the site even has a phone number to call him at as well as a direct email to him. The only way we can stop these banks like chase is everyone has to voice their complaints to obama and not just to online complaint forums. Beware! Many banks are going to try to pull something off because they know when february arrives the new laws will go into effect that will prevent them from #ing people over.

What Chase bank is doing to all the credit card holders is fraudulent. This is just downright corporate theft. These people are no better than typical bank robbers, its just they are doing the robbing. How these people sleep at night is beyond me. HEY CHASE, JUST REMEMBER WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. One day all of you Chase company officers that get millions in bonuses will go down. I own a business and know several other people that own businesses and we will no longer take any form of credit card from chase for payment for our products. I am sure if enough people jump on board and do this it will impact Chase.

JPMorgan Chase refuse to disclose information on how I became an account co-ownwer and how another person became authorized use

Upon visiting Chase Bank 06/11/2009 and reviewing my accounts with a Chase representative I noticed that a credit card account (xxxx-9185) which I used with my father and that I believed was closed was active and being used. The changed account address was my brother's, who did not have any right to it's use. I immediately asked the rep to hold the limit on the line of credit to $2500.00. Since I did not know what was the issue at the time, I went home and checked things out and realized that my brother, Andrew Berezowsky had intercepeted the card statment mailings and began using this Visa card as his own, especially considering that he declared bankrupcy in the early 2002. I then called Chase Visa to have the card cancelled. Chase Visa cancelled the card and sent me a new card to my actual address with the balance of what was on the last card.

Since this incident Chase Visa has been hounding me for payments that are due on the old account xxxx-9185 and xxxx-1490.When my attorney and I contacted Chase (three times) for how I became a co-owner of the account and how my brother Andrew became an authorized user in May 2008 we received no response. I have also called numerous times and a nasty woman Mrs. Granger (investigator) told me that either my father or I must have authorized the use. When I informed this ignorant person that my father has full blown dementia which the doctors noted as problaby being alzhiemer's, she told me flat out, "well my mama has old-himer and she can make normal decisions for herself" and that my dad was probably using the card or authorized it's use.
Actually, my father is under 24/7 hour care to help feed, bath, walk, sit, and do simple normal things. I on the other hand, have not spoken with Andrew for almost two years and did not authorize him to use any credit card.

The fact is that I need to get the information as to how I became a co-owner of the the credit card account and how and by whom my brother became an authorized user of the account.

Chase has by not reponding refused to supply this information. Chase seems to think that by ignoring me that I will go away. They are mistaken. These are the same people that the goverment gave money to save them from bankrupcy.

JPMorgan Chase scam and theft

Just a warning to all unassuming consumers...I have been a customer in good standing with JP Morgan Chase, formerly Washington Mutual credit card company. NEVER late with a payment. When I first received a credit card form them over 2 years ago, I had a 6% interest rate. Today, just 2 years later they have imposed on me a 48% interest rate. I have spoken to several representatives, and all I can get from them is their empty apologies and their annoying and patronizing prattle on how they value and care about their customers, while in the very same breath give me an imphatic "NO, we will not lower your interest rate". Even after I threatened to take my money to another creditor (which I have), they refused to lower it even 1%. This is what I call "badddd business". So folks, if you are looking for a new credit card company, please don't allow JP Morgan Chase/Wamu suck you in with their 6 month promotions. You will be giving them your money for the rrest of your life and your balance will never go down. P.S...their operators and representatives are annoying and as unhelpful as you could imagine...that is...if you can understand a word they are saying.

Refer to a class action lawsuit, where this bank foreclosed and harrassed our military service personel. Hope they pay up those milions of Dollars.

The bank said they would help me with a modified loan to stay in my home. Almost a year they rejected my mod. with no reasonable reason. Now im even deeper in debt and am in the process of losing my home.

JPMorgan Chase excessive charges of isf when they hold a check for 2 weeks when it has cleared the bank written on

Chase Bank had been holding a business check for nearly 2 weeks when it had cleared from bank written on within 2 days! This is a check written on same bank they have posted next day before. Charging excessive overdraft fees on charges made while money is SITTING there. Moving money from business account to personal without authorization causing ISF for business account! They are not customer friendly! Seems like the government "bail out"was just another way to take money they are not intitled to. I would like to know why they feel they can control MY money and distribute at their discretion. Holding a check that has cleared should be available when it clears. Why hold on to it another week just to collect more overdraft fees. Am pulling money out of Chase and going somewhere that won't constantly rob me of MY money! Seems they hold onto money just waiting to cause overdraft fees. Chase Bank should be investigated! I don't see how a lot of what they do is legal!
