Certs, Inc. Complaints - Terrible experience!

Review all Certs, Inc. complaints

Certs, Inc.

Terrible experience!
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 27 votes
Certs, Inc. issued an airline travel voucher with one of the stipulations being "you must have 30 days between departure dates". Certs, Inc requested that I indicate my first and second choice, which I did - 9/20 and 10/20. I calculated there are 30 days from 9/20 to 10/20. My airlines voucher was denied because there were not 30 days between dates. I spent quite a bit of time discussing this with Certs, Inc. supervisor, Seneca, indicating the interpretation of this was ambiguous but he would not budge and would not allow me to resubmit with their interpretation of 30 days even though I still had time to do so. I asked him percentage wise, how many out of compliance notices were sent to individuals due to the interpretation of this and he said several get it right which leads me to believe, there are a lot more that get it wrong. I am very, very unhappy with Certs, Inc. and in particular, the rudeness of their spokesperson, Seneca.

Are there any of you out there that share my interpretation of this clause in their Reservation Request form, or actually have received a "Non-Compliance Notice" because of this reason...

We had the same experience, gave 29 days between dates which they say voided the offer.

I just received a offer void letter. I jumped through many hoops to get to this part of the travel offer. I admit, my dates were not 30 days apart, but I am surprised in this scam. I read everything very carefully, I spoke with them on the phone a number of times to make sure I had things correct. It is frustrating to receive that I cannot even fix the situation. Not to mention, they also promised us a free DVD player or Digital camera, I am not planning on seeing anything about those items.

I agree, they should not be allowed to operate a business this way.

First, we'd like to apologize for any inconveniences you may have experience redeeming your travel certificate from our company. Keeping that in mind, we'd like to point out a few important details regarding the travel certificate business.

Our business is no different than any other business transaction in which both parties must comply with their agreement and adhere to the terms of service.

We highly recommend in the future if you receive a call or postcard from a marketing company promising you a travel certificate if you attend a timeshare presentation that you ask for the name of the company responsible for providing the incentive.

We further recommend if it is a Certs, Inc. incentive, that you visit our web site (www.certsinc.biz) where you can read the entire terms of service for each incentive we offer, and then make an educated decision on whether of not to move forward with the presentation.

Certs, Inc. has no control over the presentation by the marketing company or the sales tactics used by the vacation club representative. However, we do police their activities and from time-to-time will discontinue the sales of our products to these companies if we feel there is misrepresentation.

Certs, Inc. has never, and will never, change the terms of service on our incentives "after" it has been presented to our clients customers.

If you have not received a booking confirmation from our company for the travel date(s) you provided, you are entitled to a full refund of all monies paid to Certs, Inc.

Due to the inconveniences of a large cancellation rate for booked travel, your travel dates will not be confirmed until 14 days in advance. This is to benefit you by allowing a full refund in case you an experience a life event that keeps you from traveling on the dates you provided us.

If you feel you have not received a fair chance at redeeming your travel certificate, please contact our customer service department (1-800-292-0099) so we can research your situation and act accordingly based off your incentive's terms of service.

Sincerely,

Gregory A. Peaden, CEO

Gregory, can you start by providing your customers with a valid phone number? i have tried the phone number above and it belongs to a different company (windshield repair..). How can we sign papers and send you $ 230 dollars when no contact information (phone number and name of a person to contact) is provided to us? PLEASE PROVIDE A REAL PHONE NUMBER.

Thanks for posting the comments about Certs, Inc. I attended a KIS Golf presentation where I was given a certificate for a 3 day 2 night vacation and won a 4 day 3 night Bahamas cruise for making a 30 foot putt. Before sending in the required fees with the certs I decided to check to see if there's any complaints. I'm Happy that I checked. After reading all the complaints the certs are going in the trash.

The terms of these agrements are redicules if you make the slightest mistake, like I did by selecting a flight that was 5 days within a holiday, they voided me also. even though the second date that I selected was a good date (according to them) Whata joke. I spent an hour on the phone complaining but they stood there ground. There must be something we can do about them
