My husband and I thought we could jump through all the hoops and get 2 free airline tickets for the horrible presentation we sat through... I've run out of patience. So far we've sent every document they've asked for and are still waiting for our tickets. We've made copies of everything before sending it and have made all the deadlines. We were told that if we didn't hear anything by March (and this has been going on since October of last year), that we should call.

Today we received a piece of mail from Certs and got excited, thinking we'd finally gotten news on our tickets and dates. Instead we got a request for an additional $25/person because the cost of our travel exceeds the $100 we've already sent for taxes and fees. Furthermore, the letter states that this additional money does NOT guarantee our requested dates!

We have a trip planned in April so we're going to give up on the whole idea and buy our tickets. This is not worth the hassle, and it's not even free!

We had a similar experience. We had to send another $25 per person in addition to the 50$ per person in order to pick two new dates after our first choices were not available. The problem was, we were contacted while we were out of town so when we sent in the second choices and money it was sent back - no second chances - because we missed the deadline!! Dah! We were out of town and the notice was sitting in our mailbox! Too bad for us. No trip for us!!

We got the same letter asking for the $25 per person. We had 2 weeks to send it back but had gotten the letter 6 days before it was due to be returned. I went to the post office the next day and had to send it back priority mail so that they would receive it on time. They got it back the day it was due.

About 2 weeks later we got another letter stating that they do not fly out of our local airport and asked us to either pick a new airport or get our money back plus an additional $200. The closest airport to fly out of was about 2 and a half hours away so it was completely inconvenient for us. I had called before I sent in the voucher and asked what airports they flew out of and was told ALL major airports. Well, there are 4 major airports that are much closer then 2 and a half hours away.

There was no way we could pick new dates on their terms and stay within the contract date, so we opted to get our money back plus the $200. Hopefully they honor that. I sent the letter certified so they can't deny that they received it.

First, we'd like to apologize for any inconveniences you may have experience redeeming your travel certificate from our company. Keeping that in mind, we'd like to point out a few important details regarding the travel certificate business.

Our business is no different than any other business transaction in which both parties must comply with their agreement and adhere to the terms of service.

We highly recommend in the future if you receive a call or postcard from a marketing company promising you a travel certificate if you attend a timeshare presentation that you ask for the name of the company responsible for providing the incentive.

We further recommend if it is a Certs, Inc. incentive, that you visit our web site (www.certsinc.biz) where you can read the entire terms of service for each incentive we offer, and then make an educated decision on whether of not to move forward with the presentation.

Certs, Inc. has no control over the presentation by the marketing company or the sales tactics used by the vacation club representative. However, we do police their activities and from time-to-time will discontinue the sales of our products to these companies if we feel there is misrepresentation.

Certs, Inc. has never, and will never, change the terms of service on our incentives "after" it has been presented to our clients customers.

If you have not received a booking confirmation from our company for the travel date(s) you provided, you are entitled to a full refund of all monies paid to Certs, Inc.

Due to the inconveniences of a large cancellation rate for booked travel, your travel dates will not be confirmed until 14 days in advance. This is to benefit you by allowing a full refund in case you an experience a life event that keeps you from traveling on the dates you provided us.

If you feel you have not received a fair chance at redeeming your travel certificate, please contact our customer service department (1-800-292-0099) so we can research your situation and act accordingly based off your incentive's terms of service.

Sincerely,

Gregory A. Peaden, CEO

It is so funny that Greg Peaden thinks he can salvage his company's reputation by posting on here that we should contact him! I worked for a company that used Certs and they did nothing but TRY to find ways NOT to fulfill (forced breakage)! Mr. Peaden is desperate and you should not believe him. I know that he intentionally creates his certificates to trick people and mislead them. Do not trust him or Certs, Inc.

My wife and I sat in on the presentation, which I really enjoyed, to recieve our gifts(gas voucher, 3 day 2 nit getaway, and our Wings Across America flight. Well after all of complaints that I have read, I am very, very leary of sending any money to Certs, Inc. I really feel bad for those of you that have been ripped off, but I am greatful that you put your terrible experience with Certs, Inc. out on the internet. I don't think that I will be sending any money to Certs, Inc. I thought it was really strange that there are no phone numbers on any of the certificates.(RED FLAG)

Keep adding additional requirements to get trip. Has any one ever got their requested trip date without sending in additional monies? Looks like they are trying to discourage people!
