I ordered a $1.00 trial offer . I also had to pay shipping. The bottle came in an envelope with a $4.50 postal charge on it. I was charged $16.50 for shipping. This screams SCAM.

Ordered a $1.00 trial plus $5.95 shipping. Arrived with a stamp that said only about $2.00 shipping.

Automatically charged $38.95 after 20 days, to which if you want to return it, they take off a 15%.

I had also accidentally forgot to uncheck one of their many pre-checked promotional offers below the form, so I was charged an additional $29.95 for a bottle of HoodiaStar I definitely did not want.

There was no order confirmation page to make sure my order was correct.

So once everything was returned and sorted out, I lost about $15.

Read the Terms & Services page of everything you order before hand. Hope this helps anyone.

This was on "rip off report" and it is a rebuttal from a supposed employee of the company...check it out...

TEXT:

I am an employee and yes, this company is scamming customers
All of the comments on this web site and others are VERY true. Customer care Supervisor 'Roger' is actually the owner, his name his Graham..The biggest scam he uses is the 'upsells' on the green tea website. They are pre selected for you with the hopes that you do not notice them and no where on the confirmation email or on the web page itself does it 'remind you' that they where purchased. you only notice it when you receive your order in the mail. You thought you spent 5.95, when you actually got billed 45.90. when you call customer care, if you can get through, we are told to act surprised that this happened and then shift the blame on the customer. If we actually allow you to return the items, don't forget about 15% restocking fee for the product you never ever ordered.

Our one biggest fear is credit card disputes. If you want your money back, make sure that is the 1st thing you say when talking to a rep, we will get a manger to refund the card instantly. The company is unable to keep employees, the turn over rate is unbelievable. All employees that are not 'supervisors' are strictly there for a pay check, but all do feel really bad for the consumers. You are all being scammed. It is hard to listen day after day to elderly people or single mothers tell there stories about how the company has now made their bank accts over drawn because they were unaware of the upsells or monthly withdraws.

The company makes its money hoping that customers will not be aware of the trial period terms and conditions or the return policy, which is very hard to understand. We treat all customers as liars and scammers, but this is how we are trained by management. The owner is very proud of himself that he has found this loop hole on the internet. He is a very cocky man that likes to brag about his business and flaunt his 'success' about the offices. Make sure when you see him driving around Tempe or Scottsdale Az in his $100, 000 mercedes, you say hello..

This a rip-off that people should be made aware of. They offer a trial offer of 1-month for 1.00 plus shipping and handling $4.95 for Green Tea Extreme. When you receive the product you figure you only paid $5.95 for it for a trial offer. When your credit card bill comes you are being charged an additional $38.95 for this! When you try to find out what's going on you are told it is for the product. No where did I see this in their ordering form - I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known this. You have to cancel this automatic shipment of $38.95/mo. for this membership. Then good luck, you'll never get that money back, even if you return the original product (which I did). The customer service people are the rudest and will hang up on you. The credit card customer service could get no where so you are stuck being charged this money.

This company has to go!! Fraud they charges my credit card 38.95 for a 3.95 trial and I recieved stupid hoodia products that I did NOT order. Someone has to stop this company!!!This jerk is laughfing all the way to the bank.

They ripped me off for 39.90 and I called the c/c co. and had to submit a dispute, but they told me they could not block them from useing the card. I am afraid they will keep sending me stuff every month. How can a company get away with this, there are thousands of complaints on the net but nothing is being done to stop them.

I too got ripped off by this company! Sorry to hear so many were taken in as I was by their scam advertising for a trial that we were only supposed to pay postage on - and then get billed on our credit card for things we didn't even order. I have already contacted my credit card company and they have filed a complaint. I also intend to contact the Better Business Bureau of Arizona.

Tried to sample their product...$4.95 shipping turned into $44.85 of unrequested products...I don't care if it works or not..."They are a big SCAM"

I was getting phone calls all times day and night until I looked up the number on the internet. Turned out everyone who was getting the blank calls had cancelled orders that said FREE TRIAL pay shipping only of $4.95. That number quit calling but now 3057604505 has started doing the same thing. HOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE?
2008-10-23 by Lisa  [send email] 0 Votes
I wish I had visited this website before I ordered. Like others, I was scammed!!! I received the first month free and was to pay $4.95 shipping and handling. I was sent HOODIBURST GUM AND HOODIAWATER AND BILLED $44.85. Maybe its time for the newsmedia and FBI to get involved.
2008-10-30 by Noni  [send email] 0 Votes
Yes, I too was scammed!!!Received Hoodiburst Gum and Hoodiawater along with Acaipure and my ccrd was charged $44.85. I too agree that it is time for the newsmedia and FBI to get involved. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Arizona. I am putting a stop on all future charges from this company. I cannot believe the audacity with their business practices.

I order Colotox for $1.00 plus $4.95 for shipping which made the total $5.95, my credit card was charged $45.85 which was not authorized. Whe n I tried to call the company my wait time was 55 minutes, nobody has a wait time that long especially in these days and times. I think they tell people that so noone will hold that long to make a complaint. They only give you one numer to call and when you email the company you get no response. I am still waiting to talk with someone to get my money reimburse for products I never ordered.

They sounded so reputable but my experience was the same as everyone else except that I made the mistake of ordering TWO samples so I was charged twice and extra$39.90. Has anyone found a way to recoup this money? I tried the 888-692-8352 number but it's always busy. Bastards. Abe

I too was ordering the free trail offer for Acai Pure and agreed to a $4.95 Shipping and Handling. When I received my package my card had been charged $44.85 for Hoodiburst Gum and Hoodiawater.

Now I am to pay for return shipping for two products I did NOT order and a 15% restocking fee. AND you must get a return merchandise number from customer care! ALSO you must contact them by email because the toll free number isn't a working number. I am assuming they will respond to my email. I just received my package today.11/10/08

Following the suggestion of a complaintant above. I will contact the Better Business Bureau in Arizona and Florida (my products had a return address in Largo, FL)

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc.
They mail more than what y0u order and to return it you need an RMA number but you can never get anyone on the phone. The phone number puts you on hold and after 40 minutes it disconnects.
I see so many complaints about this company. Something needs to be done.

they have charged my account twice for products i did not order. i just canceled my card and the dispute papers are being mailed to me from the credit union. they charged me 44.85 last month and the credit union tells me there is a another charge of 40.00 on my next statement that has not been mailed out yet. yes something needs to be done about this company.

I have been done the same way as everyone else by this company "Central Coast Nutraceuticals", I have tryed calling and e-mailing this company the same as everyone else, you would think there would be something we could do, I am filing a fraud case with my local law enforcment and will send the case to my credit card company and try to re-coop my monies if possible, you would think that some Federal Law Enforcement Agency could stop this type of fraud, when you order your free trial your not only charged for the free trial but for an unauthorized charge of $42.85 and 45.85. If anyone knows how to get this company to respond to your request for a refund of the unauthorized charges please e-mail me - Very Upset!!!

My experiences are exactly the same as all of you. I did receive a response to my email from "Kevin" with a RMA number for the unordered items, but since so many of you have reached that stage also, I'm leary of returning the items and waiting for my refund. I think I'd rather consider this a $44.85 lesson and cancel my card. It looks like leaving it as is, will only invite more theft.
