Cellulean.com False Advertising

Cellulean is a scam, They pulled a Bate and Switch with False Advertising!
They have now removed the active ingredient aminophylline. They advertise that their product contains this ingredient but they did a bate and switch. The green bottles did work and did have the aminophylline but the blue bottles will not work and do not contain aminophylline. Look at these pictures and notice the ingredients on the green verse the blue.

Cellulean.com No free trial when you give your credit card number

Be careful trying out this product. This company makes you think that you are just getting a free trial. Only in the fine print does it say that if you do not call to cancel within 14 days, they will immediately bill you for another shipment. This time charging you $75. This product is not free. No free trial when you give your credit card number. There are better ways to diet and lose weight or cellulite besides falling for their free trial.

Cellulean.com Unauthorized charges

I ordered a $10 sample product of Cellulean which I received. The company subsequently sent me a second unauthorized order which I returned the same day marked 'Return to Sender; Did Not Order; Do Not Want.' The company billed my credit card for $75.72 for the unwanted order. Because I could not locate an e-mail address for the company, I mailed them a letter the day I received the credit card bill, 11/21/08, explaining what had occurred and demanding that they immediately e-mail me advising they had credited my credit card for the $75.72. I received no response whatsoever.

I filed complaints with both the Internet Crime Complaint Center and the BBB. Cellulean has flatly refused to refund my money, and the BBB has closed their file and is doing nothing further. I feel certain the Internet Crime people can do no better, despite this company's 'F' BBB rating and their making a fortune from billing people $75 for one crummy bottle of a product a customer receives due to a misunderstanding of the company's fraudulent policies and returns to the company unopened.

I have been unemployed for approximately four months, can barely pay my mortgage, and I cannot afford this $75 charge plus the associated credit card finance charges resulting from this outrageous rip-off. This company should GO DOWN! Spread the word!

gayle must be a cullulean employee, i am making a complaint to BBB, theya re scam, they charged my credit card by not revealing ther Term and conditions properly, I was tricked as when i ordered the trial none of the term and condition is presented to me, it jsut listed some part on their website if you did not find it, tough, i can't get my money back from my credit card as they provide card company with term and condtions because they have all your details when you sign up for the trial, you are screwed. please don't be an idiot like me

This is nothing but a scam. It doesn't work. Beware Buyer! It is all about reading the fine print and cancelling the product withing 14 days. The idea that news programs have advertised this junk is unreal. I am contacting these news people about stopping the business of supporting this kind of scam. It is dishonest. I wonder if they get kickbacks!

This would be fine if you could contact them by phone within a reasonable amount of time. It took me 5 attempts and two hours. When I did finally speak with them, they were all rude and ignorant. They do NOT stand behind their product. If their product was so good as advertised, they would not hesitate in returning a customer's money. Afterall, this is how you build a business. They make their money because they are making at least $75.00 per person who orders the "free" trial. I doubt that many people actually continue the product afterwords. If cellulite could be greatly reduced or "cured" with this product, they would be getting far more than $75.00 per bottle.

Cellulean clearly states on their website that you must call their phone number to cancel within 30 days of your trial, not email or mail a letter to them. Their product is great and they are not doing anything fraudulant! People just need to learn to read and follow directions.

I heartily agree with all the comments re Cellulean. I took steps to cancel my credit card and advised my bank that I did not want to pay for the transaction which I had not authorised. I too, thought I would be only charged postage for a "free" sample (naive!) Beware of any companies that want credit card numbers for a free sample - it is a new questionable way of doing business. I received one payment credited to my account and decided that in itself was a victory, even though I had been charged twice. Thought I would quit while I was almost ahead. Don't take this lying down, put up a fight and get your money back. If you paid by credit card, your credit card company has a dispute section - get them into gear. The sooner this shady company is investigated, the better.

I wouldn't know if it is good or not. I got charged 79.00 before my 2 wk free trial even ended . Of course their postal records say different than mine.(they count from the day they mail it out) So I offered to return the barely used bottle because I thought it was pretty "shady" and there is absolutely NO refunds of any kind!(fine print that anyone would miss... and what the hell kind of policy is THAT!?!)I will not do business with a company that misleads the consumer in such a way. (for a quick buck) Obviously they don't have enough faith in their product. They seem to be more concerned with charging the 79.00 than a fair chance for customer satisfaction. Needless to say I cancelled any continuation of the product. I would of been more than happy to be a auto ship customer if I had a fair chance to decide the product was good.(and it very well may be...however..I have my doubts because of the companies obvious self serving business practices)At this point, I don't care if it's the miracle of the century, I would not do business with them EVER again!I fully intend to discourage anyone else from doing so as well. There are many other decent products out there that we the consumers, don't have to endure such obvious disconcern of customer satisfaction nor being ripped off our money regardless! They are Lame!Lame!Lame!

I am from South Africa and ordered cellulean over the internet which I received and they debited my account. They have sent me another bottle and debited my account without authorisation. Surely something can be done about this? They have received no authorisation from me for them just to take off another debit order and send me another bottle. Who are these people?

exactly the same thing in australia from a site offering access to free samples, so the fact Cellulean ties itself to free product sites does not justify saying it clearly states on thier website blah blah blah and then charging you for further product that you never asked for it's a scam for sure !

Cellulean.com Total scam!

Cellulean is a hoax. The product is sticky, gooey, and completely ineffective. Worse than that, the company stealthily charged me for additional supplies of their repugnant product, and when I called to resolve the dispute, a 'team leader' smugly assured me that there would be no refund because I had agreed to monthly shipments when I requested the free trial. It's clear that the company makes its profits by deliberately constructing the appearance of a one-time transaction that nightmarishly becomes a long-term commitment. They certainly couldn't turn a profit on the strength of their product. And, by the way, the name of the company's owner is a SECRET, or so I was told by the representative. Well, not a complete secret. It's Patrick... something. It's the surname that must remain classified. They could tell me... but then they'd have to kill me, I'm sure.

Never pay with your own credit card when paying for these "free trial offers" Use a gift card or some other type of card you can discard after you purchase. This way if you like the product you can go back and buy some one e-bay or elsewhere. This will ensure you do not get the stiff. CYA

It worked for me. I had very little cellulite and so I did not want to commit to further shipments. I read the disclaimer and it says for sure that you are sigining up to get addl shipments at the 60ish price plus shipping, so I called and cancelled within the time frame and I got no hassle at all. The lady was nice and said to return the unused portion so I returned the little bit in the bottom of the bottle and that was it. I was never billed for anything except the initial 10.00 shipping and I never heard from them again. This was several months ago. I was thinking of buying another bottle and I googled the name and I saw this web site. The product does smell a little like Bengay and it is a little sticky but I did see results...

I am currently trying Cellulean. When you order the bottle on line and your payment is complete it does state that you are signing up for 2 bottles at $69.96 + $10 shipping every 60 days and that your bottles will be shipped out exactly 30 days after you place your trial offer. There is the 866 number to call if you want to cancel. They even suggest you print out that page for future reference if you want to cancel so you have it on hand. Because once you log off that page you will never see that message again nor will you get an email about it. I am not saying it's fair - I'm just telling you that they do inform you ONCE. I don't know if it works or not yet - been using it for 5 days. I did notice that the same woman is on all their news reports that you can click on. I don't think those are news reports but more like infomercials. If you got stuck with bottles that you don't want - sell them on ebay and at least get your money back that way.

I agree and I'm reporting this to the BBB. I bought a trial, no where on the order or confirmation page did it state I was signing up for a regular subscription, nor was there any email follow up to remind me of my so-called commitment or reminder that my trial was coming to an end. If it worked, I would happy pay $70 a bottle, but it doesn't even work.

Beware of agreeing to buy a trial bottle.

Here is what I see when I go to Cellulean.com and choose the Free Trial option:

We ship you a full 30 day supply of Cellulean to try for free! (6oz bottle retail value $69.95) All you pay is $10 shipping. We ship every package Priority Express, so that your Cellulean will arrive within 2-3 days. We will ship you another bottle on the 30th day for only $69.95. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product all you need to do is call toll free [protected] to cancel by Jun 18, 2008, and return the unused portion, and nothing further will ever be billed or shipped to you. You will then receive two fresh new bottles every 60 days for only $69.95 (+$10 s/h). Shipments are final, so cancel anytime before your next shipment to avoid being billed. No Commitments, No Hassles, Cancel Anytime!

I think you're just confused or maybe can't read. As far as the product not working, I can't say that it did or didn't work for you... but it did work for people that I know personally that have tried it (and continue to use it).
