Beware of Castaway Pools & Spas or Castaway Fiberglass Pools or any other similarly named outfit. Also beware of the name John Sr. and John Jr. (Dalrymple), Teresa Masker, Willie & Midge Kalai, Denny and Leslie Detamore, Dave Sutton and "Bernie" with an attitude. We met with John Dalrymple regarding a Trilogy pool in June 2007. John wrote up a contract and Denny and Leslie Detamore came to our home on June 24th, 2007 and took/stole our $5000.00 deposit w/ the promise of delivery and installation of our new pool on or around the 4th of July(2007), a year ago yesterday. Shortly thereafter, no one would answer our calls as to why we hadn't received delivery, etc of our new pool. Finally, John Jr. got on the phone in an extremely NASTY voice stating that they were having difficulty w/ the permits due to the oversized load... a stock excuse he used repeatedly, I have come to understand. Then Dave Sutton comes on board to the rescue with the promise of straightening everything out... Bernie answers the phone repeatedly in an impudent and cocky tone with the stock answer that "no one is available to speak to..." Then, finally in August after we come to realize that Castaway had been scamming innocent victims for YEARS, Midge and Willie Kalai send us a letter that they would return our $5000.00 in one month(August 2007). Guess what, folks? No deposit was ever refunded. Then we learned that Denny Detamore and his bible-belting family have been scamming numerous other families before and after they scammed us... and the folks at Trilogy, well, Ted Baudendistal the President of Trilogy in Fayetteville, TN refused to take any future calls from us, but told us he would continue to do business with Castaway as long as they paid their bills. How's that working for you, Ted? So here we are, over a year later with broken dreams and a hole in our bank account. I believe there will be retribution, but it will take a very long time... so please, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PUT YOUR FAITH IN ANYONE HAVING ANY CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE-NAMED COMPANY OR PEOPLE... OR YOU TOO, WILL HAVE BROKEN DREAMS AND A HOLE IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!
