CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Scam 03-17-2016

My husband applied for a loan online. A person with a heavy indian accent had called him and said he was approved for $5, 000.00 apparently had all of our banking information told my husband that they would deposit 228.21 in our account and for that amount to be withdrawed and sent back to them in a moneygram and they would proceed to deposit the loan on Friday! High alert called my bank and discovered these people called my bank impersonating my husband and filed a claim for two processed credit card payments one was for $228.21 the other $700.00 the bank reiumbursed our account while "cashnetusa" was hoping we would withdraw these amounts and send them our own money! I had to freeze accounts and call Transunion to red flag anything used with his social! Number they used to call [protected]. Please be aware

Harassment of loan approval for 8K dollars. This John Smith with an Indian accent, claims to be with Cash Loan US.

Advised many times to take me off their calling list. This last time I was told, "Never". This is complete harassment and have advised once more to take me off calling list. They need to be reported and stopped. ASAP.

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Wire fraud scam

The week before Christmas 2015, had gone online and applied for a cash advance which I recd $400. I started getting texts emails and calls from other lenders but Cash Net USA was really persistent so I filled out an application. A gentleman called me back and said he received it and they offered me a $2000. He called me back a few minutes later to say my credit wasn't very good but they really wanted my business so he said that they will put $980 in my account and once it clears I'm too money gram it back to the company . They set me up a cash advance for $980 and once I sent the money back they would close out the advance and it would look like I was a customer in good standing. They said the money would be in my account within an hour of paying off the cash advance. . After 2 hours and nothing showing in my account I called them back and the guy said is this J. Cooper. I said yes and he was laughing at me saying it was all a scam and I was really stupid. I talked with my bank right away but there was nothing they could do about the money but they noted my account. I had to pay check charges and NSF fees for other checks that I sent out that I did have the money for but once their check didn't go through my account was negative over $1100. I couldn't even buy presents for my kids or grandchildren. I felt useless. I filled a police report also but they said all they can do is take the report but then they have to forward it to the FBI since wire fraud is a federal crime

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Customer service

I received a call from this company on 1/7/2016, they told me that they could approve me for $2000.00 with a payback of $125.00 per month for 12 months. Once the representative said that I will need to prove my credibility by proving I had $200 in my account I knew something wasn't right. I asked him how am I supposed to prove it and that's when he said that I would have to transfer the $200 to them in order for them to transfer the $2000.00 to me. I told him I would call back. Today 1/8/2016, a representative called me back and said that the supervisor wanted to follow up with me and transferred me to his supervisor. The supervisor asked me if I was ready to finish the process and I told him that I didn't have the money to transfer to him and he asked me if I wanted to cancel the application which I told him yes, he then proceeded to yell at me and tell me not to apply for things that I didn't want and to not waste their time by applying and told me to go ____ off. Before I had time to respond he had hung up the phone. I was half tempted to call back and say a few choice things to him. The number they called from is [protected]. I have worked customer service and quality assurance for 16 years and their customer service or I should say, lack there of, disgusts me. They need to be put out of business

I completely agree with your review. I experienced the same thing today with them. The representative named "john" was completely rude to me, and I sincerely feel like I've been robbed out of 212$. He supposedly had transfered me to his manager named Bryan Newman, but he was three times worse than John. They indicated that I couldn't get my cash refund of 212.50 until 45 days from today. I plan on letting the BBB get involved...this company is 100% a fraud

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings They don't issue rebates that they promise.

This organization says one thing and does another. They are quick to approve you for an advance or installment. They issue you discount coupons once you pay off and when you use the promo code that they send you on a subsequent transaction, they do not issue the rebate. They have a policy of deny... Deny... Deny. Beware! Their rates are incredibly high. Try and borrow the money somewhere else if you can. They give you the run-around and pass you from one associate to another when you make an inquiry even if you have a record of successfully paying them back. Don't fall for the cashnetusa scam. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

I Received an e-mail that I had been approved. to please contact him at [protected]. when I spoke with the person he told me that I was approved for a current amount but that I had to pay $240 for insurance purposes to go to Wal-Mart and send a money gram so that they could release the funds into my account. Then I received another call stating that I had to sent another $100 so the money could go through the final process. I was told that the money would be deposited into my account within 15-20 minutes. When I called back I kept getting a recording stating that the MAGIC JACK customer I have called is unavailable to take my call. how can I get help with this issue.

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Thieves

They called me after I had looked into some personal loan companies online. I tried them. Had to put money on Reloadit cards. They immediately put the money on their own separate debit cards. I did this twice before I stopped, and all their threat/excuses to get more (I was 'so close' to getting the loan) didn't work. Plus I had no more money. Never got my money back. They still call me. Made a police report, but fat lotta good that did me. No advice from there except change bank acct numbers, which I did right away. Worst Indian scammers. .. I think Indian people are beautiful, but dont ever ever ever try this company. I should try Attorney General...

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Scam

I was "approved" online through a 3rd party lender for a payday loan. After receiving more than 20 calls from Cash Net USA about my approved loan I decided to follow through with it. I should have gone with my first gut reaction to their request that i go purchase a Green Dot money card and put over $200 on the card. Then to prove I had purchased the card I had to give the authorization number on the back of the card. This should have been a huge red flag but they had me over a barrel. The representative said that they had approved me and if I backed out I would still have to pay their cancellation fee. That was ridiculous. I had not approved any of the terms or completed any of the paperwork but they said they would withdraw the funds from my bank account anyway. I immediately went to my bank to close the account and report the incident and bad business. The rep at Cash Net kept telling me the funds on that Greed Dot card was mine to use any time if I cancelled the loan. However, I tried using the funds today and found out the $ was gone! I will do my best to report this company to everyone I know as a scam. I was extremely strapped for money and needed the payday loan to have my car fixed and I really could not afford to be completely scammed! They are a horrible business and organization.

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Harassment and fraud

I am receiving harassing calls at both my office and home from a company saying they are Hewitt a collection agency working for Cash Net USA. They claim I have a debt to Cash Net USA and they have filed a case against me and want my home address to deliver them. They claim they tried to issue them to me at my office but were turned away. If it wasn't such harassment I would actually laugh out loud. My office was never visited and in Virginia a warrants in debt can only be delivered by the court appointed sheriff's deputy.
This company will not provide me with any information about this supposed debt or their address. They want all my info but will only give me fake names and a PO Box for them. They claim I am liable for 5000.00 but will except a lump sum of 1500.00 today for them to stop proceedings. They have left messages for me to call [protected] ext. 351 speak to James Ryan. However the number they keep calling me from is [protected]. Even if I did have a debt to Cash Net USA I would refuse to pay any one that used these kinds of tactics and lies.
I looked up Cash Net USA and they don't even have a license to issue loans in the state of Virginia.

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Fraud

I will own this company before I am finished. 5 years ago they contacted my mother for a payday loan that my daughter had taken and convinced her to pay $800 or they were arresting my daughter. They proported to be an attorney's office. SCAM - - - - Now they called again looking for her with my 78 year old mother and my sister (grandmother and aunt) They finally got my daughter on the phone and she is smarter than the average bear. She spoke with a supervisor - she agreed to pay $250 of a $1, 300 they said she owed and requested a receipt from them marked paid in full. Guess what she got it - but I am not done with these democrats - - - I am doing some research and will go back to when my mother paid the $800 and will send demand letters on refunds. THESE COMANIES MAKE MY BLOOD BOIL - - - - For those that don't know payday loan are civil matters not criminal - period !

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Harassment / threat/ fraudulence

Applied for a loan and was told I had to pay a one-time fee that would be returned to me once application was processed...fee$110
Then they told me they could only accept payment via MONEYPAK refill card. Once I did that they hit me with a documentation fee of $135 which of course had to be paid with MONEYPAK as well. Once I did that they revealed to me that I was blacklisted from receiving loan and in order to receive the funds I was told to receive they said that I would have to pay another $989.89 VIA MONEYPAK. Once I questioned their methods they began making threats about contacting my employer which would result in my termination. The representatives I spoke to had very strong Indian accents and I could barely understand them. I was yelled at and hung up on several times

I applied for a loan online . I was contacted an Indian or Pakistani who said his name was Roger Williams .He identified himself as being with D.E. Capital Financial Bank . He said I qualified for a 10, 000.00 loan and wouldn't have to put any money upfront . Then he told me to call [protected] and talk Adam Ryan who told me I needed to put 160.00 and put it on a Reload It money pack and it would be refunded with my loan . Then he said because I had a low credit score I'd have to show his company I could repay the loan .I was told to put it on a Reload It pack. I called back and gave him the card number . Then he called me back and told me I would need to pay 198.00 for documentation for the Better Business Beau . Again on a Reload pack . Then he called me back and told me I'd have to put up for an insurance policy because of my age . I'm retired . That was 380.00 on a Reload It pack . Then I was told their wanted another 350.00 again on a Reload It pack . Then I was contacted by Raymond and said I was red flagged in the B.B. B. To remove it I needed 695.00 . I told I didn't have any more money he said all the money I paid in I would get back with my loan . He told me to put it on a Reload IT t pack I told me to borrow it from someone . I told him I couldn't . I told him to get the loan I needed it . I told now I can't even pay my rent and he said that's not his problem . I told him to send me my money back he said he couldn't do that . I was told if I cancelled the loan they keep my money as a cancellation fee ..then I was told to call the B.B.B . He gave me the number he gave me was [protected] . Again it was another Indian named Chris Rooney . He told me I was red flagged and need to pay the 695.00 to remove the red flag . All these numbers I called were I called they identified themselves as Cash Net USA . All there numbers are cell phones . I then called Reload It and was told they were redeemed on a debit card .I'm out over 1700.00 . And had to beg people to help me pay my bills . I think something should be done about these Indians and Pakistanis from buying these cell phones by the case and do away with these reload packs I beg Congress to do something about these people..

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Payday loan scam

On 09/05/13 I received four e-mails from CashNetUSA. The first, at 9:41AM, was to advise me that they were chosen by my "financial matching service as (my) on-line lender!" and provided me with a link to sign the agreement within 24 hours; the second, at 9:48AM, advised me they had received my signed agreement, that my "application was being processed" and I would be notified within 24 hours if I was approved; the third, also at 9:48AM, gave me my account information; at 11:28AM, the fourth one came in and gave me the great news that $255.00 had been deposited directly to my bank, that $300.00 would be withdrawn from my bank by them on 10/01/13, and included a copy of the contract I had signed electronically at 11:48, a mere twenty minutes AFTER they sent me the e-mail.
I had never heard of CashNetUSA prior to the first e-mail. Three weeks earlier I had looked into an on-line payday loan, I did supply some information to some other website entirely but just to see what the terms would be and if it would be cheaper or easier than doing one in a store-front lender. I did NOT apply for a loan from that company, just wanted to see if I would be approved and what the cost would be before deciding whether to do it or not.
On 09/03/13 (two days before I first heard of / from CashNetUSA, I arranged a direct deposit loan with my bank. At that point, I had no need to do one on-line. Then comes the loan from CashNetUSA, which my bank's computer system took to be a direct deposit, and used it to cover a portion of the loan I had with them.
I've called CashNetUSA and advised them: A) I never applied for a loan from them; B) I never accepted their offer to loan me any money; C) I never electronically signed a contract with them, and my Internet browsing history can confirm I wasn't on-line at all on the morning of 09/05/13; D) and this is the real kicker, on the "contract" they sent me, in the "Signature Block" it gave the time at which I signed the "contract" (remember - I "signed" it twenty minutes after they sent me the e-mail telling me they forwarded me the money), and the IP address from which I had connected. It wasn't my IP address. It was an IP address in Long Beach, CA, and I live much farther north in California. The IP address they cited to me is on Verizon's internet service; I don't have Verizon internet.
I am supplying printed copies of the e-mails and the IP tracings I've done to the Police because CashNetUSA wants to "investigate" what they say is "ID theft". If it was truly ID theft, the loan I allegedly signed for would be in a bank account in Nigeria or the Ukraine or the Cayman Islands - it would have not been sent to my account.
I'm submitting my evidence to support an allegation of fraud by CashNetUSA, submitting to the local police and the Consumer Affairs Department of the State of California. Possibly to the Attorney General.
The bunch of us might be desperate and stupid enough to pay companies like these over 400% APR, but CashNetUSA creates that debt for you when you don't even want it.
And no matter what they say, they can't take you to Court without having you served with a subpoena, and the Feds won't pick you up without and indictment... not just the say-so of scam artist like CashNetUSA.

a very similar situation occurred with my friend. they called him telling him that they would give him a 10.000 loan and after doing a credit check etc... they came down on the loan amount to 3000. but since his bank account was not yet 6months old he would need to send them fee's which would be needed to Western Union the money to him. I was the one who loaned him the 180 it cost. he went through with the gift card for the Western Union they then informed him after paying the 180 that he would need to buy loan insurance at the rate of $250 for the $3000 loan. well that is when it just fell apart and after reading this I m pretty sure that we are dealing with a fraudster we also called Cashnetusa and thsey confirmed that they would never

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Money fraud scam

I
had a message on my phone that I was being investigated for malicious intent of bank fraud and soliciting money across state lines .A woman reported herself to be Alexa Lucas, Arbitration Dept.for State Fraud, Washington DC. The number left to return a call to is [protected]. When I returned the call she asked me when did I receive the message? I told her maybe yesterday, I wasn’t sure. Said she holds cases only 24-48 hours before it goes to the judges who rule on the cases. She asked me if I’d ever taken out a loan with CashnetUSA. I said yes for $200.00 in 2009. She claimed that I had taken out a $600.00 loan, 1.5 years ago and When CashnetUSA had tried to collect from my bank account, that I had had NSF. That I had been sent many e-mails and letters trying to get me to pay and that since I had not, It was now in the hands of an Attorney who is ready to submit the case to the Judge. And that I was being charged with the Felonies ;Malicious intent of Bank Fraud and Soliciting Money across State Lines- that charge was because CashnetUsa whom I supposedly took the loan out with is according to her located in Washington, DC. She stated that she was an arbitrator for Academy Bank and CashnetUSA and that she had to make this contact with me so she could submit a recommendation to the Attorneys in this case. That the case may be on the judges docket as we speak and that once he makes the ruling on this case, he will issue a warrant and I will be brought into jail 45 mins to an hour after case is decided. That I would or my family would have to post bail in order for me to not have to stay in jail and that bail would be $3, 500. She said I would have to stay in jail if no bail could be posted and I would have the charges brought upon me. and in this case, there is little doubt with all of the evidence they will submit: Electronic signatures, recorded calls etc. etc. Little doubt that I would be charged with these Felonies. She told me as she had looked at my records that she had found no arrests for anything like this and that she thought it unfortunate that it was being taken to this level since it was was probably some oversight of mine or some other fairly innocent reason on my part. She said now all she could do is take a statement from me about why I had not paid and she would then make her contact with the Attorney on this to see if they will make me any other offer. But that from her past experiences in these cases ( of which she handles cases for 20 States) If any offer IS made, In these procedures, I would have to most likely, need to provide them with about half of the $3, 500. I owed. And that now that I have shown that I did not pay the loan, No hardships will be given – Payments -except in whole . A debit, credit or Cashiers check would not be accepted. It would have to be money sent by one of those wiring services such as a MoneyGram, Western Union, JPay. and they would require it to be there today by 4pm or they would close arbitration and submit to courts by 5pm today. Once the money is received it would be considered an out of court settlement. No charges would go on my record . I told her that I was pretty sure I did not and could not have ever taken out a $600.00 loan because I am on disability and I would never have enough money to have a loan of that much. She got loud and mean and said she was not going to play that game with me, said she was not stupid. That I know I owe that money and now I’m trying to act like I don’t owe what evidence shows that I do, that she no longer was going to make a call to Attorney on my behalf. Now I was being brought up on charges of : Malicious Intent of Bank Fraud. because I had defrauded Academy Bank and the Federal Reserve for more than 6 months. I was told that was so, because Academy Bank who owns CashnetUSA had put up a bank collateral on the CashNet USA loan. Now Academy Bank filed a report of fraud with the Federal Reserve and that I owed an amount of $3, 500 plus legal fees. Plus the charges would be put on my record and I would be a felon. Social Security would be notified and I would never be able to receive disability SS again . That with this type of Felony, There is no way to dispute it with Social Security and win. I would be prosecuted for 3 times the amount owed plus 260.10% interest, plus legal fees . I was sure to have these charges put on me with all evidence against me. She seemed calmer and called me ‘honey’ saying she knew this must be hard for me and said she would go ahead and make a call to the Attorney to see if she could get a any sort of deal on this, she said she was going to do it right then and for me to stay on the line. When she came back on she told me that Attorneys were willing to accept $1100.00 to keep this out of court and to not report to Social Security and to drop charges. That the $1100.00 had to be there by 4 which is ending of business today or else it would be submitted to the court by 5 p.m.. She said that I needed to call her back within 1 hour if I was able to find a relative that could help me with the paying of this debt I owed. And that if I did not call her back within 45 minutes now, a federal Agent would be dispersed to pick me up and take me into custody in 45 minutes.
I looked up some stuff on internet after this call and found several scams exactly like this.

Without a doubt, none of this could be done. No one knows how much bail will be set at except the Presiding Judge. No one has ever gone to jail for not paying back a defaulted loan. I think this was a very clever collection agent at the very least, but more likely a scam artist. It is not unheard of that employees or former employees get a hold of names; etc. and then carryout these scams. The fact that no cashier checks, credit or debit cards would be accepted means they didn't want a paper trail and did not have a legitimate account. Anyone can pick up a wired transfer without showing ID. All they need to do is use a code word that was listed at the time of transfer. I am so sick of people trying to scam disabled people who have enough problems dealing with health issues let alone being bullied by these con artists. I often get calls like these telling me I won something and now all I do is report it to not only the FTC, but also the FCC. Some times if I am bored, I go along with them and when they think they have me reeled in I turn the tables. When they threaten me, I tell them the facts. One time I was told former President Clinton selected me to receive money...all I could do was laugh and hung up. These scam artists prey on your lack of knowledge and vunerability. My advice is to get strong and know your legal rights. Just because someone says they are from somewhere and throw around a few terms doesn't mean it is true. Turn the tables and ask them for their ID, who their supervisor is and the phone number, what is the name and address of the company/agency they work for. Remember, first this person said they worked for the government they said they were the mediator for the attorney for cashnet...listen to what is being said...scam artists always slip up and when they do, call them out on it. Chances are they will hang up and never call you again. Should they call again or someone else (they always work in groups) remind them that it didn't work the first time and you have reported them and the information to the FBI who really does have a task force for this and tell them not to call again. I hope this helped someone...stop being a victim.

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings Don't use this cr*p

Do not use this crap! I cancelled immediately!
Let me explain the repayment process... You borrow $850 from the lender that contacted me (Cashnet) I contacted them on about the 11th of the month all of the money was going to be due back on the 20th of the same month. However, the state of texas can do 4 extensions.
When you request an extension (1st request) you must pay the interest and fees of that loan $221 none of which goes to the initial $850... You get a new due date for all of the $850 again...
If you need another extension (2nd request) you must pay the interest and fees of that loan $221 none of which goes to the initial $850... You get a new due date for all of the $850 again...
If you need another extension (3rd request) you must pay the interest and fees of that loan $221 none of which goes to the initial $850... You get a new due date for all of the $850 again...
If you need another extension (4th request) you must pay the interest and fees of that loan $221 none of which goes to the initial $850... You get a new due date for all of the $850 again...
Each time if you wanted to pay on the principle you would have to pay the $221 + any additional money for the principal

CashNetUSA / CNU Online Holdings If cash net usa wants to give you a payday loan don't do business with them at all

Cash Net USA gave my wife a $205 'payday advance' on her Social Security Disability check on Feb. 1st 2012. Within 9 days she was getting hammered with phone calls claiming they had either a loan or a grant or 'money' approved for her and waiting for her permission to disburse it. Of course it was just a wire fraud scam using Western Union and she fell for it. She wired money to the same 'company' 4 times for a total of $1140. Why am I naming Cash Net USA as part of this scam. My wife had a cell phone in her name for over a year without ever getting any 'cold' calls such as these until she clicked on the Cash Net USA advertisement and gave them all of her personal information. It is my opinion that once they make a 'payday advance' either the company or someone or more than one person is then selling off that contact information to the scammers. If Cash Net USA wants to give you a payday loan don't do business with them at all.

Thank you for letting other consumers such as myself know about this company advertised on TV. When I went to their Website today, it was "closed" down for whatever reason. I think you should contact the FBI in your area, as they can investigate and take necessary legal action to prevent others from being "ripped off"!
