I needed to take a payday loan to get me through the next couple of weeks due to some unexpected expenses. I received a solicitation in the mail from CashNet USA offering 50% off loan fees. So I thought I would give them a try. This is the first time I have EVER tried getting a payday loan from anyone.

I go to the site, fill in the application and click continue. The site returns "you already have an account." WTF?!? So I try resetting the password...no luck. I try the "forgot email" link...no luck (my info "not recognized"). I contact customer service through chat. It takes 20 minutes for them to comprehend the situation. They finally give me a temporary password. I complete the application process only to be denied. Denied? For $250.00? I TAKE HOME $725.00 PER WEEK. My bureau scores are 700+ across the board. My FICO score is 700+. The maximum payday loan limit in my state is $600.00. How the hell was I denied?

I was approved for a $400 dollar loan to be directly deposited into my bank account. On the day cashnetusa claims the deposit happened - no deposit was made fr them. It is days later and still no money from them. I will be closing my account before the payment deadline so this scam company cannot collect money from me on a loan I never received. I have tried to call customer service several times and all they tell me is that the ACH deposit was sent on so and so date. Full of ###. I suggest people go into their local payday stores. It is much safer and faster.

I actually stupidly applied for a Pay Advance Loan through them also, the same, that I messed up my S.S.#; they wanted me to fax my social security card to them, that is when the alarm bells started to ring. I said that I would not do that. So about an hour later while I was filling out a form with a different company for some temp. moneys; only $100; a woman called me and asked me to verify my S.S.# and the loan would go through. I am on disability so I am so glad I did what I did= I used my Business Account checking number; which is not the account the direct deposit goes into (I run a small business freelancing graphic design) and just happened to be using that account as I had lost my primary debt. card for my primary checking account. I was approved until 5 p.m. I got an email saying that I wasn't approved, that there was an error in the approval process. Where as I am relieved that it didn't go through, I am still nervous of identity theft; and since both of my accounts are at a 0 balance, I am thinking of calling the bank and see if they will change the number I have on my business account. Or close it. Than I will reopen it with another #. I don't have very good credit, own any credit cards so good luck with what anyone will try to do if they try and steal my identity! LOL the laughs on them this time! Ha.

I just received a call from a representative of CashNetUSA who stated his name was "Chief" Andy Brown whose accent was so thick I could barely make out what he was saying. This "Chief" Andy Brown was claiming I was under investigation for Internet and Banking Fraud (aren't those federal charges so shouldn't I at least get a courtesy call from the FBI?) "Chief" Brown advised me that I was now in default on a $400.00 loan from CashNetUSA and the amount on the loan was $1, 300.00 WTF? If I did not agree to pay this amount I would be subject to humilation and agents would come to my job and arrest me in front of my co-workers...I should have informed "Chief" Brown I work in a state correctional facility and neither he or his agents would get no further than the visiting room but anywho, when I began to ask "Chief" Brown when was the loan made, for how much and that I was going to call my bank to get the bank statements because quite frankly, I don't recall getting a loan from CashNetUSA or giving them authority to remove funds from my account, he became extremely agitated, beligerent and unprofessional to say the least. $1, 300 for a $400 loan? That I have no record of ever receiving in the first place? Are you kidding me? "Chief" Brown told me I had 5 minutes to call my back to clear up this matter or else in the next day or so, his agents would be calling my job, supervisors and co-workers to embarrass me (in so many words). Trust me, as soon as I get off work, I'am going to my bank, check my statements, and cancel my bank account...This is obviously a scam to get money! If this charge was remotely true (Internet & Banking Fraud), The FBI would be investigating, not "Chief" Andy Brown who sounded as though he was on a long distance line from the Phillipines.

Wait until you hear this. I too have never used a "payday loan" service, I spent several hours surfing the net and cashnetusa appeared to be a reputable company. I filled out the app, apparently I transposed the last 4 of my ssn of course I was not allerted to the error until after I finished all the disclosures, online paperwork etc. I attempted to correct the mistake, did the live chat (joke) emailed forgot PW etc.. Finally I said screw it and created an entirely new app using my same correct information with another email addy I have. I completed was "pre-aproved" this was around midnight, at 8:01am I received a call from there verification dept, we went through the usual questions very quickly she then states we have to do a Bank verification, fine with me we call my credit union, the young man that answered was very nice, polite and professional. The Cashnetusa rep was very short, spitting out questions (one that I thought were TMI) she asked how long I've had an acct he stated Oct 1991, I don't know about the average cashnet client but you would think this would hold some credibility, it does not FYI. So I was literally on the phone with this lady for 48 mins, she questioned my Credit union excessively, even called back to verify my acct # my credit union rep verified I have paychecks in excess of $8000 + a month deposited in my checking account, certainly enough to cover the $500 loan I'd requested... Yada yada yada she is done with me and pretty much tells me everything is a go, she's sending it on, all checks out etc. And I'm to check on the site in an hour for the final details. I checked on the cashnet site 2 mins after hanging up and my "status" is on hold, apparently there was some messup on my ssn...hello, I explained this in the beggining, my banker verified all, I rattled off my ssn I know 15x during our 48 min conversation. In the end, after all that by the way I should mention, because I've been with my credit union for so many years these people know me, I was embarrassed by the interrogation the tellers received. In the end I was denied my $500 loan, screwed without even a kiss, nobody called me, I tried to call nobody would discuss this. I emailed and got the standard blow off response. Long story short, from my experience. They are incredibly unprofessional and blew off a potentially loyal client, what they failed to understand is I'm loyal, and have a big mouth and will not hesitate to tell anyone who remotely acts interested what a scam they are. Good luck, don't waste your time with these folks, honestly I feel like they should give me $500 for staying on the phone with that lady for as long as I did!
