CarId fraudulent item descriptions

These guys advertise items, clearly listed, on their website. After you order, receive delivery, realize items are missing, waste 4+ hrs. On the phone & waiting for callbacks, they tell you that the manufacturer states the missing items are not included even though it is clearly stated in the item description on their website! I have been using the internet for purchasing for years & these are by far the worst people I have had the displeasure of dealing with in my history. Please don't waste your time with these clowns, it will only give you ulcers.

CarId customer service/ return policy

“Let me start by saying carid customer service is horrible. I order a set of headlights online which showed to be in stock. Waited 2 weeks with no response on shipping information before calling to find out they are in back order and would not be receiving them for another month. Finally recieved the order, a pair of spyder black euro headlight assemblies for a 2011 dodge 2500. Upon installing, both headlights shine to the left with no horizontal adjustment. Talk to carid and they advised that they would replace them once I sent the current pair back. Mind you I had already thrown the original assemblies away due to broken mounting tabs on both headlights. So now I am going to have to wait to drive my only means of transportation for 2 weeks until I receive the replacements. So I decided to purchase a second set of the same headlights to shorten the wait time. The second was recieved and I was refunded for the first set. The second set did the same thing. So I called and they said they could not refund for the second set due to me being out of 30 day warranty. Which they are going by the date of the first set ordered not the second set. So then I ordered a factory set from dodge, which by they way work fine. So now I have a pair of headlights from carid that I can do nothing with but get a replacement and go through this process a fourth time? Really? Oh by the way the customer service supervisor identified as TJ hung up on while explaining my issue to him. Good luck when ordering from carid”

CarId wrong part

Before I made a order for my truck I called Carid to make sure that the part would fit my truck. the salesperson told me it was the right part the following day I ordered it after ordering I felt a little strange so I start doing some research found out the part does not fit my vehicle I called them back after I ordered as if somebody can help me to see if that's the right part I told yes it would I left it go I did a little more research online finding out the parts still didn't fit I called them back once again they told me it would and they would get back to me after they call the manufacturer who makes the part to make sure fit my vehicle never received the call back so I called the manufacturer who made the part they told me it would be no way it would fit my truck so I called up cancel the order they told me it was shipped so I told them I need to get the right part they were supposed to give me a return postage email to me the day of the unit was supposed to be delivered never got it so I refused told UPS driver to send it back called them up told him I did that and now I'm finding out there going to charge me for sending it back and the part that they're going to send out to me to replace the part that was wrong they're going to charge me shipping on that I don't think so this company sales people needs to be trained on how to know the parts for peoples vehicles I was in sales and let me tell you this left a bad taste in my mouth and I will post this every site that I can to let people know not to buy from you guys
ps The right part will not be sent until they received the wrong part that was sent to me so now I have to wait an additional week or 2 weeks before I receive my part nice going guys GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT ! oh by the way CARID here is my email if you like to contack me and here is the email that I used to order the part

CarId bad customer service

Just Horrible...worse than the worst eBayer!
I placed an order over the phone, because the website shows one picture in the description and a different picture when I added the item to the online shopping cart. The customer rep tells me that the item should ship out within 2-3 days and I also got an email stating that the estimated ship date is on 1/15/15 (2 days after order date 1/13). I called on Friday because I did not get a tracking number and the customer rep tells me they are a drop-ship company and will have to call the manufacturer...after several minutes on hold, I was told he could not ahold of the manufacturer and that he would send me an email with an update...which I never got. I called the following Monday and they tell me that it's a "Manufactured product" and it takes 5-7 days to ship-out and it will not ship until 1/21/15 from Mexico, not California where they originally stated the item will ship from. Then I asked to speak to the manager who basically called me a liar, because their service reps are trained properly and would not have told me it would have ship out in 2-3 days, because it's a "Manufactured Item" and that the email I received is an automated email, which goes out for all orders. Am I suppose to decipher through what the service rep tells me (will ship out of California within 2-3 days) and the automated email which corresponds with what the service rep told me? The conversation with the manager ended becoming an argument where he gave me a choice of cancelling my order or order something else, if I didn't want to wait for the item to ship. After reading the reviews online, it seems that this behavior is common with this company...If I had known this, I would have never spent money with this company. Companies like this should be put out of business by will of customers. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

(1/23/15) This is an update to my previous review:
Ordered on 1/13/15 and was told by phone sales rep and email confirmation the est. ship date was 1/15 and when I called to get tracking in on 1/15, I was told that this item is a "Manufactured Item" and it always take 5 to 7 days to ship out and ship out date was changed to 1/21. I called on 1/21 to get tracking info and the est. shipping date was changed again to 2/9/15. I don't understand how these people stay in business...probably launch a new website whenever business stops receiving orders. By the way, ONYX Enterprises (www.onyxenterprises.com) is the main company.
Do not spend your hard earned money with these idiots!

CarId poor service

I order a set of rims & locking lugs with the help of a Rep. for my truck. When the rims arrived they didn't fit my truck! At the time my truck was getting a lift kit installed by Rick's Pro Truck. Rick's Pro Truck couldn't remove my truck from his hydraulic lift till the CARID rims arrived. I called CARID and reported the problem andask them to overnight the rims. I was told there wasn't enough profit in the rims to spend the money to ship them overnight. After many phone calls and tell this joke of a company how bad of a bind they had me and Rick's Pro Truck in, I got the rims 3 weeks later. They did not do anything out of their way the fix the problem. This company just wants profits and does not care about the customer even if they messed up the order. I will never do business with this company again and I hope this site helps put them out of business. By the way, they also sent the wrong locking lug nuts. CARID IS THE MOST IMCOMPETENT PEOPLE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. You been warned!

CarId do not buy from carid

I ordered a Aries Bull Bar for my truck from them. I called because I wanted to make sure they had what I wanted. They told me YES... the bar I wanted was in stock... I asked him 2 times to make sure. He told me "I guarantee we have the part" his words! this was on Monday. Received a conformation email that my order was placed and that my CC had been charged for the amount. late Tuesday afternoon I get a email notifying me that the part is "out of stock"! Are you kidding me! So I called customer service(which is also BS) and told them the guaranteed we have it in stock story from their sales rep that I talked to when I placed the order, his response was "oh we are sorry about that, we have a different one in stock... "for $50 bucks more"! WOW! My response to that was... Well I don't have to say... You get it! NEVER will I do business with Carid...EVER.! Please do not buy anything at all from this place.

CarId poor customer services

Horrid Carid...Ordered parts online, received confirmation email and two days latter received email that order was voided. Called customer service to inquire why order was voided, had to leave message. Did not receive promised call back. Called later to sales because customer service closes at 6, but sales is open until 11. Sales representative could not determine why order was voided, but promised someone would call me following day. No call from Carid. Ordered parts from PartsGeek for same price and parts shipped next day. Would never order from Carid again!

CarId worst customer service ever

"i will never deal with this company again,

Mid june i emailed carid explaining i was going to place an order for parts and needed them by july 4th to install, explaining i would be taking time off to work on my vehicle, they said the order would arrive without any issues and everything was in stock. My order was close to $1500 by the time it was all placed, the sales person was very helpful and actually gave a discount. After sending the full amount and receiving the confirmation email everything went to hell.

The largest most important parts never arrived on time and i was notified they would be late only after the due date (Receiving a delay notice on july 8th stating the product would not ship till the 15th) . Why is it that i was not contacted sooner about this delay? I thought i would ask,

After calling the company and being placed on hold for over 30 minutes (Yes i hung up without speaking to a manager because i wont stay on hold that long) i sent an email asking about this and requesting a call from a manager. I received an email stating they would contact me within 24 hours (They called 5 days later after a 3rd email and left a voice mail asking me to call them) .

I could have purchased the same parts from a number of other companies, overall i am happy with the parts, but will never deal with carid again for any reason.

Worst customer service i have ever had, especially considering the measures taken to ensure this exact thing didn't happen. I strongly recommend not dealing with this company, unless you like being ignored or have forever to wait for your order. "

CarId carid did not deliver

The parts were to be delivered within about a week of order according to the CARiD web site. Near the end of that week I received a notice that it would be 4-6 weeks until delivery. I called several times to ensure the parts would be delivered after the 4-6 weeks and was told it would be; however, at the end of that delay I received another e-mail notifying me of an additional 4-6 week delay. What do they say...fool me once... CARiDdid process my refund fairly quickly after I cancelled the order.

CarId wrong merchandise-return policy

Do not order from this company. their return policy is horrendous! They delivered a damaged (it was even marked so) wrong mat for the back of my new SUV and are treating me like a criminal. I have NEVER been treated like this and have ordered hundreds of things over the internet. They should be put out of business.

CarId I will not be using this site again

I placed an order online for manual locking hubs for a 1990 nissan hardbody. The site asked for the make & model of the vehicle ONLY. After entering the requested information, the website offered one product that was compatible and it had an image that resembled my current hubs, so I ordered the item. 3 weeks later the package came but they were way to large. I called and after holding for 30minutes to get someone on the line, the representative took my information then transferred me to another rep in the returns department (even though I told the automated system and the 1st rep what I was calling for). I then held 25 minutes for the transfer. The returns department finally answered and was very nice but extra pushy to swap these out for the correct one instead of allowing me to just return them (at my expense for shipping both ways and the difference in cost between the 2 sizes). The rep stated that there were 2 different sizes for this make & model truck & it was my fault I ordered the wrong one, so I was responsible for the original shipping & return shipping. I declined multiple times because I was frustrated about THEM only offering this product on the webpage - if there are 2 different size hubs for the same make in model then why in gods name didn't it list both or ask me for the size?! After that happened now how would i know that the swap would be the right thing? Trust them again? I think not. So I just wanted my money back. Finally the rep agreed to send me a shipping label for free return and stated I would receive a refund for the original payment I made minus the original shipping. I was not happy with this, but it seemed like a compromise - they were paying for shipping one way & I was paying for shipping one way. So I agreed...after all what choice did I have at this point?! 4 days later I received an email finally with the Return merchandise authorization (RMA) form ONLY - no shipping label - only a packing slip with instructions to pay a carrier of my choice for shipping this back to them. SO at this point I am furious and I call back again to the returns department. I spoke with Susan, who was very nice and agreed to send me the UPS shipping label at no charge because she could see in the notes it should have been sent to me...BUT I have to wait 2 more business days to receive said label. It has been 4 weeks since my original order and this has been a nightmare. 2 more days for the label, 1 week before they receive item back and god knows how long until I actually receive my money back so I can go elsewhere and get the correct part. Company advertises easy returns but this is the biggest return nightmare I have ever experienced in my life. It seems that they do this just to stick you with the part. I am not giving up and I am returning this...and I will NOT be using this site again.

CarId this is the worst company I have ever dealt with

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.I ordered my wheels with them and they called back after 3 months of not knowing a ship date or anything to tell me that it was special order and if I can consider picking another wheels.So after another another 3 months ( they already charged me for the whole order) they come with the same bs...It took me 10 months to get my money back after talking with unprofessional staff !

I also have experience their "no hassel" returns - this is the worst company - they should be shut down immediately. They don't return calls - you sit on hold forever - get a different story with each rep you talk to. They are a rip off.

We ordered a mesh grill for my sons Jetta. We scheduled an appointment with a body shop to install it which took a couple of weeks. Once the car was in the shop the body man refused to install it because the way the grill was manufactured there was no way to route the hood release mechanism. Besides, the grill was made very cheaply and looked tacky (unlike in the picture). When I contacted the company they informed me I was 4 days past the 30 day return policy and they wouldn't take it back. They suggested I list it on ebay. I wouldn't do that because I wouldn't want to stick anyone else with this piece of junk! I'll never deal with this company again.

If your company located in the Moon will deliver faster than 3 months. regarding the payment as u said is the priority for you, your money you get it on time but the parts never been deliver on time..Anyway the story got over and i got a lesson from your company. Was my first and last time dealing with you guys..Thanks God i received the parts and i didn't lost my money ...

I understand that 3 months is a very long term for completing the international order to United Arab Emirates. And as I told in a previous comment - we do sincerely apologize for that delay. Unfortunately international orders usually require longer terms due to more complicated verification procedures (Security of our customers` payments is the priority for us), bigger distance of delievery and more strict shipping company`s regulations as well as departure and arrival scans.
I could only say that we tried our best in order to provide up-to-date information for you on the order processing so you could feel that your package will be delievered safe to you.

I had order a set of head light for Chevy Tahoe..Its took them 3 months to received. i believe if i have not follow up with proper way will never received... Its really crap company ( I really dought its a company.. im sure just an office which have nothing in stock and they trying to do business with someone else products around the world) I strongly recomended do not spend a single dollar with them...

CarId do not order from this company unless you are willing to wait for more than a month to receive your order

I ordered seat covers on 12/12 after calling the company to make sure they would make it there by Christmas. They told me that they would if I did the express shipping. 2 days later I received an email saying that they would not be shipped until 12/26. I called to see what happened and they told me that because of the holidays the manufacturer was backed up, they would be shipped on the 26th and that they could either give me a $25 gift card or $10 off and if I wanted I could get my money back for the express shipping and it would be shipped the regular 3 day shipping. The 26th came and went with nothing, on the 27th I received an email that they were delayed again. This time they would not be shipped until 1/2! So again I called the company and asked them what the problem was. They told me that it was the manufacturer and there was nothing they could do, I could either wait for them or get my money back and cancel the order. When I complained further they told me that they could only give me another $5 off. Even though they had delayed it 2x already and it was going to be 3 weeks after ordering it to receive it. I checked the order status on 1/4 to see if they had been shipped because I had not received an email saying that they were. The website said 'Update in progress please check back within 24 hours", so I thought good, they are probably being shipped and will be here in the next 3 days or so. Wrong again! I checked again today 1/7 and it still says that it is being updated. I HAVE HAD IT! Do not order from this company unless you are willing to wait for more than a month to receive your order.

Very similar instance happened with a caliper i ordered. The website says fast shipping 1-2 days anywhere in the country and only gave one shipping option whih was ground for $10. I wait 5 days before calling. They tell me it will be another 7 before it arrives. I went off. Being without a vehicle for a week was already stressful. I work 20miles away and noth cars ended up breaking down the same week. Anyways when i told them their site practically guarentees it would be on my door step in 2 days they said wih the ground shopping option i selected thats impossible. Very frustrated at this point. They tell me it left the warehouse and is sitting in a ups store in california. There is nothing they can do. If i want to purchase it again over the phone they will expedite it to me. Who has an exta $178 floating around? I would have taken it to a mechanic if i did. Long story short they said they would refund my shipping (at that point who cares about $10). I agreed. Finally got my part the following week. I guess im lucky compared to some of the horrible things ive read from other customers. Im figuring out how to get my core charge back.

CarId they do not honor their return policy!

In short, my item came crushed in the shipping box, contacted CARid customer service, they replied with basically oh so sorry we can give you $5 off your next order with CARid and we will do whatever it takes to ensure your satisfaction. I emailed them back saying the item was crushed and I want to return it, one week later I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM CARid AGAIN.
What BS customer service, free returns my backside, they undercut everyones price to get your bucks and then to hell with you.

CarId avoid like a plague

I ordered a replacement mirror for my 2007 GMC Envoy and used their part finder service. Their website said GM1320350 from REPLACE was an exact replacement for the original OE part [protected]. When the part was installed it did not operarte completely like the original because it only has 9 wires and the original has 11 wires. The manufacture will not take the part back because I connected it and Carid will only offer in store credit (why would I want store credit for another part that probably won't be correct). I think that if your website and your company are representing products that claim to be replacement parts you should stand behind them completely. I also talked to two of their "Tech Support" guys that both said they would research solutions and never heard back from either of them.

CarId do not order from them, no matter how good the prices are

Website pictured the running boards I ordered on my exact vehicle. When I couldn't make them fit I got runaround about these not being intended for my vehicle but tech support would see what they could do. After not hearing back I called and they said there was nothing they would do because it had been more than 30 days since I ordered. CarID is a sham website. Do not order from them, no matter how good the prices are.

Yeah, right now I'm in a big mess, that Car ID has put me in, and won't even fix their own mess. Ordered a pair of headlights about 8-9 days ago (wed 20th), so I can get it before Thursday (tomorrow) for my inspection, which my ten day tags expire tomorrow so I can get the inspection done. I had left a specific note (even though the headlights should of gotten way before Thursday (usually order, from California, via UPS ordering from Car ID, and it takes 4-5 days)) stating that I needed it before Thursday, due to the inspection needed and that my 10 day tags expired on Thursday. So on the next day after ordering it, I receive a e-mail stating that, it has been delayed, and that on that monday (25th) it would be shipped out. So Monday and Tuesday came around, and no email with tracking number, showing that its been shipped. I call to see whats going on, and the guy just says that "I'm sorry, I'll call the company to see whats going on, and I'll e-mail you definitely today". Never got the e-mail that day or the next day (now its Thursday the 27th), so I call today(27th), and the lady has me on hold for 5-10 mins, three times, and says that it won't be shipped out until April the 11th. At this point, I asked for a special, request, since that this was their fault, and that I needed to take my car to inspections( only car I got, to work and go to school), that they upgrade the shipping to overnight. But no, they don't even care, they refused, and only offered me a 30 dollar discount, or 3 day shipping, which by far, the biggest slap in the face I have ever received from a company ( since its their fault, and the package should of been at my doorsteps well before the 27th today and now I'm going to receive it about 2-3 weeks later costing me money, and time, and potentially a ticket that will cost me way way more that I paid for these lights). Not to mention a refund takes 3-5 days, and they don't even offer you a upgrade to the shipping, since its their fault. All I'm asking is for a freaking overnight upgrade, since its well far beyond of what it was supposed to be shipped to me.

CarId will never recommend or buy from carid again due to experiences with customer service

Satisfied with my 2011 Ford Escape Black Mesh car seat covers. Customer service is horrendous. Employees are bluntly rude and will constantly interrupt/speak over you. Will never recommend or buy from CarID again due to experiences with customer service.

CarId avoid at any cost guys

I was doing some searches on the internet for parts for my 1989 chevy suburban. I didn't find anything I was looking for, but I did find something I didn't expect. The 1989 chevy suburban accessories page on carid.com is using a picture of my personal vehicle as the banner for that page of their site. Identical down to the black lettering on the hood and the loose wire from the winch I have wrapped around the light on the bumper. What kind of reputable company goes out and just pulls random pictures off the internet for their marketing. Even worse they then have a block on the image if you try to save a copy of it saying its copyrighted.

CarId carid.com is unprofessional and uneducated about car parts

Carid.com is unprofessional and uneducated about car parts, go else where please pay a couple dollars more for piece of mind. I ordered light covers for a challenger srt8 suppose to be here three days ago. And no calls to notify me of the deiay, I have to call them and of course they only return calls while working to pay for the purchase. They need a new business plan or they will not have any business. From me anyways!

CarId I will never order anything from this company nor will I advice anyone to shop from this website

I am really disappointed in the service I received. I ordered mesh grille for my 2004 bmw 525i and was told by ann. [protected]@carid.com to wait for a month because it has to be manufactured just for my car. She offered me free overnight shipping once the product becomes available. Today she calls me and tells me to pay $64 for overnight shipping. Total scams. I will never order anything from this company nor will I advice anyone to shop from this website.
