CarHop Auto Sales & Finance deceitful business practices

Always go with your gut...I was skeptical about this dealership since none of the vehicles have prices on them. I told them I had $450 to put on a vehicle and over a month after I started making payments, I received a letter from UAC stating that my contract was incorrect. Everything I paid was added to my downpayment (making it $1000) and I was just starting to pay towards the price/loan of the vehicle. The salesman's signature on my contract looks like toddler's signature & when I questioned him about it, he laughed it off. Finally, the price of the vehicle with the interest..loan...fees..totalled the price of a BRAND NEW CAR! Everytime I make a payment, it seems as if the amount owed never changes! Because I am a praying, believing, GOD fearing woman, I pray that CarHop/UAC stops their deceiful practices and that they will be EXPOSED for preying on hardworking people who just desire to be treated right! I am considering returing this vehicle and just choking up the money spent as a loss.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance deceptive trade practices

This dealership uses fraudulent and/or unfair and deceptive trade practices.

Before anyone “bad mouths” me about my credit history as the reason why Car Hop has the right to exhibit less than ethical business transactions….let me say this “my credit number does not matter!”. Right is right and wrong is wrong. No one should be treated as a door mat for unethical business practices.

Should we just start blaming people who may be down on their luck and lose their job making it impossible to pay their bills on time? How about poor or ill people? How about parents who have spent every dime trying to save their child from cancer? Should we just banish them to a dark corner of society so they don’t bother people who are more fortunate? How about the mom who is beaten every day? Should we be blaming her for her bad credit or shattered self-image? Hmm just doesn’t seem right does it? Before you blanket judge people, maybe you should find out the whole story. It will save you from looking like a donkeys butt!
Until you have walked a day in my shoes, you have no right to judge me or tell me I should just take it! Furthermore, you have no idea why I had to go to a subprime dealership/loan option, nor should it matter. Below is a point by point story of events……

Purchased 1999 Chevy Tahoe 05/2010 from Car Hop, Blaine, MN
Since then have been waiting for a title.

Car Hop contacted me in April and May of 2011 regarding the missing title.

Stated there was a discrepancy with the VIN# in the states system and needed to bring it to them to verify.(This was very urgent and requested by the State according to Car Hop). Car Hop mentioned that the state had put a “Flag” on the account and would not release a title to us until that was cleared.

Car Hop set an appt for Friday [protected], 3pm at the St. Paul, MN DMV. I said ok…what could I do?

On my time, I took the Tahoe to the DMV for the verification.
The DMV stated there is/was no “flag” on the Tahoe and in fact they have the correct VIN# on file. They continued to state that there was nothing within the States system that needed to be checked or verified and that it was “all” on Car Hop to take care of any issue preventing a new title to be released.

Called Car Hop (talked with Janelle, Manager at the Blaine car lot where Tahoe was purchased) and made this known to her. She said she would call back.

A week later some man, who offered “no title” called from the main Car Hop office. I can not remember his name (but do have his number) fed me another story. He said that it was STILL a VIN# mix up and that the state doesn’t know their [protected]@$ from a hole in the ground and didn’t want to deal with them again.

He insisted that he knew “other” people that would take care of the title issue.

He tried to explain how some numbers were mixed up between owners from different states and that that is why it is taking so long.(really?)

He wanted to take the Tahoe for a day to Glenco MN where he has “friends” that could get the VIN# mix up straightened out…..I said no you are not taking my truck! He said ok and that he would see what else he could do and call me back.

After talking with him I decided to call the state and ask them about the VIN issue and what should or shouldn’t be done.

I spoke with Shanice. She stated that they never requested that the car be seen to verify the VIN# and that anything that needed to be done was on Car Hops end. I asked just to verify “You never requested that the Tahoe be taken in by me?” She stated “No” and in fact there is no flag on the account. She stated that they are just waiting for the proper forms to be filed so they can release a new title. And as of June 2010 that had not been done.

The “mystery man” never called, so I called him back. I asked what was going to happen and basically he then changed his story. He told me that through the change of owners/purchases there was a VIN# mix up somewhere within that paperwork that needed to be fixed (this made no sense to me). Since the car was purchased from out of state it would take a few more days to work it out, but he guaranteed me that I would have my title in a couple weeks. I said ok…what could I do?

A week later I received a call from Car Hop (Janelle) stating that the St. Paul DMV never faxed the copy of the VIN# verification and they needed to have a copy (not sure why they needed it). Instead of them going to get a copy, they insisted that I drop my copy off to them…I said ok…what could I do?
Janelle stated this would be the last “hoop” I needed to jump through…this was mid-June.

I waited for the title….no title as of today.

I called Janelle Sept 8th letting her know there has been no title sent my way yet. She said she would make some calls and get back to me.

Late afternoon that day she called back stating that since the government shut down, it would take months to get the title.
I expressed my lack of patients at this point.

She stated that the check for the “expedited title” was cashed by the state, but they refused to rush it…so she stated I will just have to wait. I said how long…she didn’t know.

I said, well since you have the cashed check…I want a copy as proof. She said I do not blame you, and that she would call me back tomorrow (Sept 9th).

In the mean time I thought I would purchase a car fax report. It was interesting.

First off…Glenco MN is where Car Hop purchased the Tahoe (Mid-West Auction) so the “out-of-state” explanation doesn’t fly. And it is weird how the “mystery man” wanted to take the Tahoe to Glenco…makes me wonder why?

Before that it was at a Monticello dealer, and before that there are no records. (Not sure if that is normal).

What this did solidify for me is the fact that Car Hop has been feeding me one lie after another, stringing me along….WHY? That is the million dollar question.

So I put another call into the state to verify the information from Janelle was accurate (which I already knew wasn’t)…of course I did find out that it was not.

According to Nick at the St. Paul DMV, there is no record of any request for title transfer from Car Hop, expedited or otherwise. There is no record of any check cashed.

I asked about the timeline due to the government shut down…he stated there was no wait. In fact, if a dealer requested and pays for an expedited title, by law they have 3 days to do so.

This means, if they had done what they told me…I would have had the Tahoe title many times over by now!

He also stated that by law they can not turn away an expedite request. Nor would they cash a check, and then tell the dealership that they are just going to process it in the “normal” fashion.

However, even if it was not expedited, there is no wait time for any title requested through the mail (which is the way Car Hop would have preceded).

I guess the most disturbing information that he told me was that I shouldn’t really be driving the truck. The reason is if I were to get into an accident, since I do not have a title in my name I could never claim the insurance money. If, for some reason it would end up in an impound lot, I could never get it back because I do not have a title in my name.

Basically, I am paying on a truck that I do not have any ownership to!

I thank God that nothing has happened as my children travel in the truck as well!

Janelle called me Friday Sept. 9th, and to my dismay she stated the only person in the entire company that could get me proof of this “check” cashed by the state was out of the office until sometime next week.

At this point I just laughed…I went on to tell her the information that I obtained from Car Fax and the St. Paul DMV and that she had a couple options. I also told her I want a decision by Monday Sept. 12th or option “C” would be taken).
a. Get me the title next week.
b. Return the truck to them and have every payment, down payment, and other expenses be reimbursed.
c. Or, if I didn’t receive any phone call with option a or b, I would put a complaint into the Better Business Bureau, send in my papers from the MN Attorney generals office and start a personal campaign about the crooked nature of Car Hop to every news channel, news paper, cable network…etc…

Janelle said she understood why I was so upset and promised she would call back that day….it is Wednesday Sept 14th…no one has called me back so I am going with option “C”

As of Sept 15th the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota has accepted my complaint Case # [protected] (per Steve F.) and has given Car Hop until Sept 29th to replay with their solution to this title issue.

As of Sept 15th I have sent in my forms to the Minnesota State Attorney General Office as they instructed me to do.

Sept 16th I will be contacting every news organization I can think of along with all newspapers.

If on the 29th of Sept I do not have my title I have an apt with David A. MAHONEY ANDERSON LLC (Business and Internet Law).

As much as I hate to agree with these complaints, I too am a victim of CarHop. I knew the first day I drove off the lot, I had been swindled into a bad situation, understatement, It has been a Nightmare. I have had my car in the shop over seven times from Dec. 2011 to September 2012. The electrical system isn't working properly, I had to replace the rear brakes, timing belt, a spring, a new battery and now the car is back in the shop for some unknown reason. I am a single mother with two teen daughters who have very busy schedules. The one thing I didn't need in my life was to have a car that was this unreliable. I would like for all CarHop car owners to get together and start a class action law suit against this company, We deserve justice here.

I personally think Car hop is the worst place to buy a used car from, All there cars they have on there lot is extremely bad, I dnt get how in the hell are they sell such ### cars, that break down as soon as you drive off the lot, or why all the emergency light light are coming on letting oyu know that something is wrong with the car. Didnt even have the car for 2 days. Then when I asked for a refund or a different car they told me no...Never Buy A car form Car Hop

My husband and I went to carhop and began the finance process, while we were there we both got an uncomfortable feeling about it. Their website insists that they work with your budget and for the month of December $50 down could get you in a car. Well due to our situation I felt that $150 month was an affordable car payment for us, we were told we had to have a minimum of $350 and higher payments than that were preferred (not at all within my budget) when I informed Julie at the Inver Grove Heights office that we had intended to take advantage of their $50 down, as advertised, I was told that we would need a more significant down payment and that we would also have to come up with all of the sales tax as well. We were looking for a small to Mid-size SUV, the next day Julie emails me and informs me that they only have one SUV on the lot, which was not accurate we counted 7 SUV's when we were there the night before, and that I would need to come in as soon as possible to secure the SUV, she wouldn't allow me to even consider another vehicle, we were also told before we even went in that we could go to any of the dealer ships around the metro and test drive many cars, apparently not. I instantly decided that I absolutely would not purchase a car from carhop, I would rather do without. Fortunately, I work for a large law firm in DT Mpls and I think I'll be bringing Carhops fraudulent activities to their attention, maybe they will bring a class action law suit against the Carhop corporation. I hope you are able to get your situation remedied or at least get fully reimbused for your troubles.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance don't buy car from them

Long story short, here is how car hop operates. First like the lady says above. you go in first thing they want to do is get you approved. You don't look at cars or anything they get your credit done. Then with no real explanation they tell you what cars you can choose from. All of these cars will cost you exactly the same. (around 2x blue book value) You can not choose a cheaper car or even a more expensive one and pay the difference, we had about 5 choices.

So we pick one of our 5 choices, looks nice, is clean. I ask about the AC and they tell me it works. I ask if there's any known problems, they assure me its been to the reconditioning center and there are no issues with the vehicle. Well the next day the brakes make a horrible noise in the back, sounds like a dying duck. Car Hop says its not their problem we bought the car. Then March comes it gets a little warm, and i am in the drive thru at a restaurant, its warm...AC only blows hot. Once again not their problem even though he lied to me and said it worked, 2 days later still not even licensed the car, it dies and has to be towed. Fuel pump is out. We have to pay for the tow but the fuel pump is covered. As stated above their policy is to replace your broken part with used parts. (not reconditioned.. USED) A used fuel pump usually doesn't work since used parts come from wrecks, and the fuel pump dies to avoid fires. it took 15 or so calls and over 3 weeks for them to finally decide they would allow the shop to put in a new fuel pump. The mechanic tells us about why used ones don't work and that he had tried 3 before we finally got the new one approved.

And that was the short version.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance what warranty?

I have an update for my vehicle that has been giving me problems since I bought it from carhop. My vehicle, which I bought (June 2011) from CarHop in Des Moines, Iowa now has severe internal engine problems. UAC's warranty covers the internal parts of the engine and transmission. My vehicle is still under UAC's warranty. Last week (12th of October 2011) I noticed that the a slight clicking sound had been coming from the engine area, I checked all fluids. All fluids were and are at manufacturer's capacities. The click soon was getting louder and soon turned into a very loud and pronounced clanking noise from inside the engine and would increase as engine rpm's increased. I called the warranty department to ask where I could take my vehicle. I finally was allowed to take the vehicle to the approved shop (13th of October 2011). I did not hear anything from UAC for a full week after dropping my vehicle off. Living in a small community has it's advantages, and by the time I called them (UAC) I was well informed by the mechanic about what was going on. The mechanic informed me that he fears that the piston sleeves are possibly cracked or that a rod had been thrown; and that he would not drive it, he told me that UAC's service manager refused to acknowledge the fact that the vehicle is dangerous to drive. I called UAC to ask what was going on and was told that they did not know (this is after I talked to the mechanic) and they would call me back, they never did (I found I had to call to find anything out). I called again, and I was told there is nothing wrong with my vehicle. That the clancking noise is not a reason to repair the engine; that when it decided to seize/blow up that they would then replace the whole engine. How safe is that?! I would love for the service manager of UAC to drive my vehicle around (or home as the customer service rep wanted me to do), I'll trade him and see how safe he feels about driving it. If any of my family members are hurt in this vehicle because UAC is saving the "bottom dollar" knowing that this and other vehicles are unsafe or mechanically deficient, look for a lawsuit. I am writing a letter to my State's Attorney General to notify him of the dangerous practices of UAC.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance cars they sell are crap

Having poor and non existent credit, after my old car broke down I was desperate for a vehicle so I could get to and from my job. Along came Carhop. I found a 1998 Chev Cavalier, overpriced for the year it was(almost 4 grand) but hey when you are desperate you will take anything. The car needed the ABS breaks looking at. The salesman at Carhop reassured us that after we had purchased said vehicle all we had to do was take it in to their (U.A.C) approved shop. Well after signing on the dotted line, we discover that the brakes would be checked and advised not repaired as promised. So twice it went into shop. After second time the ABS brakes were still giving us grief. To the point where if you need to suddenly stop, well forget it, you are ### out of luck and more than once we have come close to having an accident because of it. Then at work going over a speed bump, the latch for the glove compartment pops open and falls off. So now the glove compartment no longer functions and we have to duct tape it shut.

And lets go to the actual loan itself. We allowed U.A.C. to take the first two payments out of our bank account. We were reassured by the sales agent that it would be no problem making the payments ourselves after that on the dates they were due. What a joke. They gave us so much hassle, but we persevered. So then we thought hey why not just make two payments for the month on the day the first payment of the month was due. You're kidding right? They sent us a nasty notice saying we were behind in our payments. Huh? You got the one payment on time and the second one two weeks early, yet we are behind?

Their customer service is the pits. Their customer service reps are rude and can't be bothered to listen. This is about the WORST company you could ever hope to deal with and my advice to anyone is run run away as fast as you can if you have to deal with Carhop and U.A.C.

I bought a 99 OldsMobile Intrigue from Carhop Three months ago and my car runs just fine. I love the Warranty that comes along with it. UAC helped me to get financed even though I have bad credit. I filed Chapter 7 last week, so my credit will be all clear again. Im very thankful for that.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance rip off

I have bad credit and was told by car hop that they finance anyone so I decided to give it a try. I am not real knowledgeable about financing or vehicles. After driving 3 different cars, I liked a 2004 Rendezvous in which they were asking $12, 795 with 121, 600 miles; not knowing much about pricing or vehicles, I thought it was a good deal. When I asked about regular maintenance, they said to get an oil change to be on the safe side, no record as to when it was done last. Five days after I had the car the check engine light came on and they told me to just go to Auto Zone to get it checked. Was told the oil was bad, the battery was going, the right wheel bearing needed to be replaced, and there was an air issue inside the motor-and no owners manual! I recently pulled up the Kelly Blue Book, 4 months after my purchase and the value is at $4500...$9000 less than what I owe and $8200 less than their asking price!
All I can say is NEVER trust a Car Hop, they are thieves!

I bought a car from Car Hop in MO on St. Charles Rock Road in February. I had no choice but to get a car from them because I had helped someone in my family as a co-signer who screwed my credit up. Long story on that one!

When I got there I test drove 3 cars on their lot and NONE were in reliable condition. So, I decided to wait until they got new cars like they promised by the end of the week. When I went back they probably had 3 new cars but NONE that I was approved for, so they asked me to look at 2 other cars that were in the back of their lot that I didn't see a week before. I test drove them and they both failed to drive such as (battery needed charged/flat tire/car would not run.

So I decided to go back almost a month later. I am a single mother of 2 children and we went without a car for nearly 3 months. Finally in mid February I went back to them because no other car dealers were willing to work with me. I test drove 5 cars they had on their lot and DID NOT LIKE NONE that they were trying to sell me. One car actually died right before I pulled off the lot. So, they sent me in one of their cars to another car hop about 10 miles away and guess what! I'm on the high way with this car they claimed was their best car to another car hop to swap cars if I liked one.. It started over heating and the whole car started to shake. We had to pull over and let the car sit for about 10 minutes. We finally arrived to the other car hop and we told them their car was over heating and the whole car shook - they did nothing!

They sent us on our way to look at cars on their lot and we test drove 4 and they were all about to fall apart. I thought one cars windshield was going to fall in on me because the car was shaking so badly. One of the car doors to one of the cars nearly fell off! It was INSANE!

But like any other desperate person out there in need of a car - I had to have one! We took the junky car we rode in back to car hop on St. Charles Rock road and told them what their car did to us on the highway. They said they would check it out but then before we even left someone started looking at that car and they were trying to sell it to them without even looking at it first!

I came back the next day and found 2 cars that were not there before and asked them to test drive them. They said one didn't even have a title for it yet. So, I test drove one of their cars and seemed to like it! It drove better then any other car they had. After 4 hours of being there and doing all the paper work and watching the video I was finally able to leave with my new car.

I was very excited when I was driving home with my new car. Well that changed in just ONE DAY! The car started acting funny so I took it to my fathers best friend who works on cars and when he looked at the car he said "HONEY, TAKE THIS CAR BACK NOW! AND I MEAN NOW!" So, I did and luckily I was able to swap the car for a different car. I bought a 99 Mercury Cougar that day and it seemed to run great, the a/c and everything seemed to work!

Before I left their town the engine light came on, so I turned around and went back to them and asked them if they could tell me whats wrong with the car. They sent me to auto zone and the guy told me it was just a lose belt and other problems that I knew the warranty didn't cover. So, with my fathers best friend worked at an auto shop I thought I could just take it to him and he would work a deal with me to get it fixed.

I took it to my father's friend and he shook his head and said I don't know where you are buying cars at but if your going to buy cars like this and the other one you bought to me, you outa just buy cars from a junk yard. I become very very upset and he checked out the car and wrote down almost 30 things that was wrong with the car. Me being a single mom and already stressed and tired from looking at their cars I started to cry and he said that he would try and help me out since I am stuck with the car.

I was supposed to bring the car to him on March 3rd. I called UAC and explained there were a lot of problems with the car - they wanted me to drive the car 30 minutes away to one of their shops and there was NO WAY that car would have made it 10 miles. It sat in my drive way since March all the way up until July. They finally agreed with me to find a local shop here in my town that will accept their payment over the phone.

We finally found a auto shop to fix my car and they picked it up on July 2nd and I did not get my car back til Aug 5th. That's how long this Auto shop had my car. Every week they told me something different was wrong. I called car hop 4 times and complained and they told me to call UAC so I did at least 7 times. They only assured me that they will call the shop and find out for themselves what is going on. The shop told me UAC only called them once and that was to ask if they would accept there payment options. ha..

Anyways! I finally get the car back and the day I got it back all the people who worked at this auto shop told me to get rid of that car because I'm always gonna have problems with it. It needs a whole new wiring process and the list grows on! Well, guess where the cars at now? Sitting on the side street of my friends house because its where it broke down. I am paying $350 bucks for a car each month that I have no been able to drive for more then a week! I'm very angry and very tired of dealing with this crappy car they sold me. This place should be SHUT DOWN!

They shouldn't even be a business and yes, I did call UAC the day the car broke down again which was only 4 days after I got the car back from the Auto Shop it was in. And they were so RUDE, they told me that my warranty is no good because I have used it before 18 months and said they have already paid $3, 000 on the car repair which is a total lie because I HAVE A COPY of the repairs. And it's no where NEAR $3, 000. I even asked to speak to their supervisor, they put me on hold and hung up on me! I have called them at least 10 times and every time I ask to speak to the supervisor they hang up on me!

NOW WHAT! Well, nothing.. I am stuck paying on this car for another year and it won't even run AGAIN! This is very very wrong! I was told I can do the Lemon Law but UAC threaten me that they will make sure that they say I am the one who damaged the car when I DIDN'T! So, I have no clue what to do but hire a lawyer as soon as I have the money to hire one.. These people both Car Hop and UAC should be shut down.. They are cruel people running after money from people who can barely save to feed their own mouths. These people are WRONG! Someone needs to point that out and these business need to help people like their Ad's say they do! NOT RIP THEM OFF!

Carhop in topeka. never would give us a specific price quote or interest rate. told them our $200/mth budget. they DID quote a carpayment $150 over our verbally announced budget!.

tried to sell us a 2000 honda civic, in kinda crappy repair?. kid stains everywhere, front bumper was cracked and kinda hanging, clear it had front end damage/. you could hear and feel the transmission thunk as you drove it?. they told us this would be a GREAT BUY and we would like it, .

by the time we would of paid it off, a car worth less than $5000, would of cost us almost $10, 000..

i DID NOT like the car, nor the payment, nor the hidden information/. what were they hiding?

at that price, why would i of not walked across the street and bought a brand new car? we left there and will not return to a carhop. we went down the street and got a way better car less than our budget would of allowed. *** carhop...

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance broken promise

To whom it may concern:

I purchased a 2000 mercury mountaineer on 6/14/2011 at
car hop
8021 south tacoma way,
tacoma wa, [protected]
[protected]

I was promised if I purchased this vehicle that certain repairs would be made, now I am receiving the "run around".

Prior to purchasing a 2000 mercury mountaineer on 6/14/2011 from car hop I was told by the car salesman (mike) and the lot manager (tina) that if I chose to purchase that specific vehicle certain repairs would be made at no cost to me. these repairs included: the outside driver side door handle, the window lock button on the drivers side door, and the door lock/unlock button on the remote. because there was three different problems that needed to be fixed the manager (tina) stated that in the description of the repairs needed she was simply going to put “drivers side door” as to cover all of the repairs.

a few days after purchasing the vehicle I contacted car hop and promptly took my vehicle to the approved repair shop. when I picked up my vehicle the door handle was replaced (although not painted as promised) I figured no big deal at least it was fixed, and the window lock button was repaired. the door lock/unlock button on the remote still did not work.

So I contacted car hop and they told me to return the vehicle to the shop which I did on 7/9/2011. the next contact I received was the shop owner asking could I please contact car hop and ask them to call the shop so that the shop could have approval for them to perform the repairs. the shop owner had stated he had tried to contact them several times and no one was returning his calls.

For two weeks I called car hop and their warranty department every single day asking that they please contact the repair shop. every single day I would first receive the run around from both departments saying I need to contact the other department. I was promised by different employees from both departments that someone would be contacting the repair shop and that this would be resolved. yesterday on 7/25/2011 I spoke with the warranty department and was told “mr. bradley I promise this issue will be resolved today, someone will contact the shop to give approval for the repair and then we will call you back”. I have heard the same line every day since I had started calling them.

Multiple times I have heard that either the problem was going to be fixed that day and/or that they could not fix it for multiple reasons. the lot blamed the warranty department and vice versa or they blamed the fact that the salesman who actually sold me the car was a floater from another state and they could not contact him to deal with it.

When I contacted them again this morning (7/26/2011) to make sure that the matter was resolved I was informed by marvino from the lot that the repairs would not be made due to the fact that on the paperwork tina had “worded the repairs incorrectly” therefor the warranty department was not going to allow said repair.

this whole ordeal has been exhausting. since I have purchased this car I have had problems with it. the radio and cd player stopped working about three weeks after I bought it and also the rear passenger side door sticks now. I am not trying to get anything fixed that occurred after I purchased the vehicle. I am not an unrealistic person I realize that when you purchase a used car these things happen. the whole point of this is that I am paying over 11, 000 for this vehicle. both tina and mike promised me that this would be taken care of upon my agreement to purchase this car. I am only asking for what was promised to me, nothing more.

It seems that I was promised this only to get me to sign a contract with car hop and now that I am trying to get what I am entitled to I am getting the run around and told that I am "out of luck" because the paperwork wasn't worded correctly.

employees I have spoken with:

• tina, car hop lot manager (was present when I was purchasing the vehicle)

• mike, salesman (person who promised repairs and whom sold me the car)

• marvino, employee of car lot (I dealt with him briefly during the purchase of my vehicle and have spoken to him quite a few times in regards to promised repairs)

• julie, employee of the warranty department

• sean, employee of car hop

Going through this same problem... 2nd day I started my van the SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT came on, was told Warranty would handle the repairs... Its been almost 2 yrs and still fighting to get this corrected, now that my tabs are to be revoked due to NOT being able to get Emissions done and Approved by the D.M.V.

They say they have spent a lot of money to repair this vehicle, yet the repairs are still with the vehicle, and the only repair they did was service engine light, BUT that still is an issue. The 1st repair shop said MY van was unsafe to drive due to the following problems: 1. Motor mounts shot 2. brakes shot 3. Service Engine Light If the problems have been fixed yet they are still the MAJOR issue with my car to keep tabs, HOW is it that I have to continue to pay for a vehicle that CANT be fixed?

I think every1 in Washington State that has a problem with their vehicle from Car Hop needs to start a Class Action Lawsuit against Car Hop and let the Attorney General hear this and see what he says... IF you have already started a lawsuit plz contact me so I can add MY complaints about MY vehicle and car hop... C. Scott [protected]

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance misguiding info /unserviced vehicles with high mileage

How can Car Hop still be in business. When people are in certain situation we sometime do desperate things. I purchaced a car from Lancaster Tx Car hop. Salesman ROBBIE CALKINS was convincing. All the while they are snakes. I didn't mind the finance charges at this moment i really needed a vehicle. I was finally approved for a 2002 PT Cruiser with 169k on it. The vehicle was 9, 600 when financed 12, 500. I drove the vehicle from there to my home it ran hot. Called the lot back mind you its sat. i got no anwser. Called the warranty dept. they gave me a place to take the car. took the car there and 2weeks pass im calling the shop they saying the warranty dept. sent used bad parts. So i call the UAC they finally oupt me out that contract for another vehicle at the same price and payments which was a total lie. Nothing was to change my went up and i was charged over $1, 000 more on finances. and this vehicle was a 2001 blazer.Since then i have been getting the run a round UAC says call The car lot. The car lot says call UAC. I did get some attention fron a rep. of UAC named CYRUSS thanks for that insite bro. I would still like for my situation to be attended to i would appreciate it is someone from corporate would look into this matter. I don't seem to be getting any where with the reps or salesmen in you guys organization. I will be notifying the BBB on this matter. Especially since the nd vehicle i was so called SUB out of runs terrible. Service engine, brakes, ABS lights are all on. They weren't on when i choose the vehicle. I was told by the same saleman ROBBIE Calkins store manager in Lancaster TX. my payments wouldn't change my finance charges wouldn't change either. That was totally all bull. I would appreciate it if someone would respond to this complaint personally. Contact me Broderick L. Morgan i still have this other tainted vehicle. Don't have any photos only only proof of dishonest salesmen and misguiding of customer service. Whats done in the dark will come to the light. Can't seem to get a call back from the car lot. Doesn't surprise me. Signed Dis Satisfied Customer

Looking for people who have bought car, cars from Car Hop and have had nothing but problems.
I bought a car 10 months ago and have had to put over 2, 000. dollars into it already. Car Hop will rip you off! There cars are pieces of junk and become a money pit.
I'm looking for people with similar experiences with them. They have been kicked out of other states because of their business practices. I'm looking to see what I can do to help other people and possibly get them out of our state, Washington. All story will help.
Look forward in hearing from you out there.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance used cars

Looking for people who have bought cars thru Car Hop. I bought one and have had nothing but problems from day one. I've already have had to put couple of thousand into the car for repairs. Car Hop is a RIP OFF! Do not buy from them. If you do, have your vehicle checked immediately so if there are major problems you can return within the 72 hours you are given.
With my research they have been kicked out of a few states because of their business practices. I'm trying to see what I can do for Washington State but I need help from other to pro sue this.
Please send me a message if you have a story to tell. Every bit helps.

Thank You

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance very rude and untruthfull

In October 2010 I purchased a 2000 Ford Taurus that had a faulty fuel gauge they tried to fix it 3 times then traded me out of it and wrote that my taurus was a repo and sold me a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan on 10-20-2010 I have only had it 7 months and it starting leaking oil in several places. They say your warranty doesent cover any of that. So it needs $629 worth of work and wont do anything. I have filed a report with the better business bearu and the state attorney general. I have made all my payments Im not behind or delinquent. I would never sign up for auto pay with them its unsafe. I was on it cancelled it paid my April payment in person 4 days early and then on April 5th they tried to take it out of my bank account and Charged me a $15.00 fee for it not going thru then my bank charged me a $35.00 NSF Fee they wouldnt reverse the charges so I had to contact the BBB.org and the State Attorney General for help then they Refunded me the bank fee of $35.00 and Waived the $15.00 fee they charged.I know several people who have bought vehicles there and everyone of them have had major problems with their vehicles. You can check them out on /link removed/ and the www.bbb.org The warranty they give you doesnt cover hardly anything. Its ridiculous how many people bought cars at carhop and everyone I know has had many issues with there vehicles.
The warranty doesnt cover hardly anything

CAR HOP/ UAC is nothing but scam artist jews. They will sell you a pile of trash that like you said has been used before. Their warranty means nothing. You will have to pay everything yourself. Their mechanics do not fix anything. I have dealt with these pieces of trash before. They gave me a worthless car. They charged me thousands of dollars for a car that wasnt worth more than 300 bucks at the most. The left tire was wobbling from side to side and also the car always had an overheating problem. The mechanic that was supposed to be theirs wanted 80 dollars for looking at my car while they kept it locked up in a fence until i paid. They didnt look at the car period because they said there was nothing in the car no anti freeze or water. So i looked at it and it was still full of water. They will want their money but they will make sure all of you money is paid on your car while you have no money for anything else! And also they made sure that i couldnt register my car until it was fully paid off meaning i had to drive around illegally !

This company is one of the worst, corrupt companies I have ever seen .About a year ago My Son And daughter-in law bought a used Van from these guys In Everett, Wa . With a warranty that they got suckered into that means nothing . This van has been in so many times and their so called smart mechanics they send them toocan never find the right problem . they replaced the transmission or so they said . I recently moved Back here to the State of Washington .and rode in this vehicle .So very unsafe .And my Son, Daughter-in -law and 2 grandchildren ride in this horrible vehicle . I was very scared . I have already talked to my Son about calling Komo T.V 4 about this . Go straight to the dealer and have the T.V.cameras there and lets see the Manager & his or her Family ride in this heap of trash .Please, no matter what do not trust these guys .They care nothing for anyone but the all mighty dollar.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance poor service

Let me first start with my experience at your Burbank office. I scheduled appointment with an associate named Andrew at 12pm 06/17/2011.  When showing up for the appointment I was approached by Andrew and he kindly explained what your company has to offer. He then walked away and said, "I will be right back". Then as he came out of the office he said, "I'm going to take this guy to the airport I will be right back but she can help you". Pointing to another associate I never meet
Before. The young lady already had a gentlemen at her desk and had to take care of us at the same time. So as she jumped from desk to desk, she started my wife and I on our applications. 2 hours have gone by and Andrew walks through the door with grocery bags because while we were waiting I guess he decided it would be a good time to shop. He walked in the door and greeted another couple. Then he sits them down and tells them he will help you today. My wife and I then said we had enough and will never step foot in your company again. Just because people are not in the best credit situation does not mean we should be pushed to the side and be mistreated. I will tell all my friends and family members how your establishment functions.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance stay the heck away

Purchased a 97 Explorer on 10/8; next day I had to take it to the shop for check engine light & coolant leek. CarHop did repair it after having to argue with them about trying to use used parts so I picked up the car after 2 weeks at the shop! Now after putting shocks on the vehicle I found the Ball Joints are in need of replacement; well the warranty they go on about does not cover it so I am screwed out of more money! It is my fault for buying a $1500 car for way too much money just because my credit was rough and now I may have to make it worse by giving the thing back just to avoid being out more money. Whatever you do DO NOT go to CarHop under ANY circumstances!

Paul Blanco sales people are a hot mess, I've being having problems since I had my car the first two weeks. They sold me a car with no censor in it. my clutch kept sticking and locking up on m when I down shift. the day of my party March the 2nd my car just stop on m with no lights coming on. brakes lock up timing belt, head gasket. wow My car was out of service since March 2nd to April 2nd and now it's April the 5th and it's back in the shop. And they only have one loaner car for to us and if they don't one you have to have a ride home. so tell me who is worst. The bank got a free payment for one month I'm paying for a car I don't drive. I went to the new Sacramento, Ca location Carhop operates and was horrified by what I saw as vehicles for sale these cars were JUNK plain and simple I was so glad I took a look around their lot before signing any paperwork, the cars suck the SUVs suck they get these cars from auctions and make very limited repairs to get them on the lot as a former C.T.S.C. Tech I always look at the tire's first and what I found scared me. I could not believe they would let people drive off there lot with tires in this condition and the rust on some of these vehicle was way past the norm, bottom line there cars are JUNK and should be avoided I know it's hard when your credit sucks and you have no chose but please walk around the vehicle and check out everything before you sign any paperwork and get everything in writing before you drive off the lot!

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance sold junk

DO NOT BUY FROM CAR HOP! I have had past credit issues and I was in need of a car; I found Car hop online and was told by them my credit was no issue and I could get in for $500 down. I found what appeared to be a nice 97 Explorer AWD, it had a new inspection sticker and seemed to run fine. I signed the paperwork chatting and being re-assured by the Salesman that they take care of their customers and they have an outstanding warranty; he said the vehicle had just been serviced so there were no worries. Well the Sales guy is full of CRAP, by the time I got home the check engine light had come on and I could smell anti-freeze leaking; I had to ride my Harley into work and when I came home there was a puddle of fluid on the ground! I decided to give the Warranty a chance and took it to an approved shop; the shop is doing it's best but getting approval for the work seems to be a pain in the ###. Just as it was thought everything was a go Car Hop decided a part was TOO expensive and put a halt to the work and is looking for a USED PART! I bought the car on the evening of 10/8 and it is still in the shop as of 10/19; I have told Car Hop if the repair is not allowed to go through by today I don't give a Damn if it goes on my credit they are getting this PIECE OF JUNK BACK!

hey guys bought a 2001 mitsubishi montero sport from carhop in richfield minnesota. I took the car for an inspection during the 72 hour period that they give you to return the car and mechanics found nothing wrong with the vehicle. within two months of purchsing the car, i noticed alot of jerking while trying to acceleratae. Oil was leaking to spark plugs, total $900 in repairs. Alot of other problems with the vehicle but will not list all of them. Long story short, if you have bad credit, the pro is that carhop will help you improve your credit score if you make your payments on time. The con is alot of their vehicles tend to have major mechanical problems so be prepared to spend alot of money on them. You are better off trying to save and buy a $2000.00 dollar vehicle than buying a car from carhop.

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance dishonest and horrible company

DO NOT BUY FROM CARHOP

CarHop Auto Sales & Finance total wreck

NOT RIP THEM OFF!

f*** them. My car I owned for 5 days is broke down already and I miss work now. Should of never got a second car there, but the first one I bought had t tookhe engine blow. Ittook a month to fix and the new one had the check engine light come on instantly and leaked oil but they failed to warranty it and still charged me 550 dollars. In fear that it wouldn't survive til I paid the remaining debt on it, I traded in for a much better car with 100 dollars a month more for payment, and like I said, 5 days later, ... No car, payment due tonight, and no way to get my check to em. They are awful

I bought a car from the Carhop in Dallas. I made an impulse decision after being referred to this place. I should have been concerned when I got a car in 4 hours. Also I was only given two choices of cars...One was in bad shape...so I chose the 2ooo Impala. The first day I got it, it was leaking oil. I took it to this shop called MASH(don't take your car here!) they supposedly fixed it but it was back leaking oil. I was soo mad...Toook it back to the place and now the oil is not leaking anymore. Fast Forward 2 weeks later, my transmission is bad and need to be replaced. I bought the car 10-9-10. What does that tell you? It hasn't been a month and I have had issues..I wish I wouild have asked for a car fax report and took it to be diagnosed. i admit that I didnt do my research and Got f**ked in the end...I would never reccomend this place to anyone..Also the customer service is terrible. They are very unprofessional and really don't give a damn about helping you..I dont know how in the hell they received an A+ on their BBB Rating...

WOW!

Welfarehater2010,
Your comment was extremely rude and unwarranted. Nothing that Jenyle206 stated in her post was malicious or provoking. She simply posted a complaint on the "Complaints Board", which is the sole purpose of this board. You accused her of not acting like an adult for voicing her complaints, when in fact you are the one who resorted to name calling and hurtful words. You know nothing about her or her situation and you have no right to pass judgement. If getting online to pick on complete strangers is what you do for entertainment, then I feel sorry you. I do have a suggestion for you. Instead of bashing complete strangers, why dont YOU educate yourself, not just in manners but spelling and grammer as well.
NEWS FLASH (you "###"): This is how you spell responsiblity. "CARHOP DEALS WITH BAD CREDIT PEOPLE ONLY?" Really? Try Car Hop deals with people who have brad credit. OR Car Hop customers generally have bad credit. Really anything other than "BAD CREDIT PEOPLE ONLY" would have worked. Wouldn't only needs one apostrophe. You have run on sentances, and you are comma and punctuation happy.
You made yourself look like a jerk in more than one way, "loser".

WOW! If they at Carhop had as much difficulties understanding you in person, like the hard time we're all having reading this, then maybe it's your fault. Go get an education, learn how to at least sound out the words you're using, give an attempt at acting like an elementary school graduate and try to be an adult and take responsability for YOUR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS! NEWSFLASH...CARHOP DEALS WITH BAD CREDIT PEOPLE ONLY, SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE HAVING TO BUY A CAR FROM THEM, THEN DON'T, AND PAY YOUR BILLS FOR ONCE SO YOUR CREDIT WOULD'N'T BE BAD IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU DEADBEAT! GET OFF WELFARE TOO! I'm tired of paying for it! Loser! I got you're FEMA check right here! ###! Did it ever occur to you that you put yourself in this situation by being irresponsable?
STOP BLAMING EVERYONE FOR YOUR PROBLEMS, THEY'RE ALL YOUR FAULT!

Although it is unfortunate when any customer has mechanical issues, unforeseen problems do sometimes occur with used vehicles. To best assist our customers, every vehicle purchased includes a 72 hour Satisfaction Guarantee which allows a vehicle to be returned within 72 hours if our customer is not satisfied. In addition, each vehicle includes an 18 month / 18, 000 limited warranty. Since this is a limited warranty, the covered items are clearly listed in the paperwork each customer reviews and signs with their approval prior to purchase. We would happily cover any items included in the warranty.
