I've tried everything and followed all directions. It's just rude that after so many years, you get no response. They of course sent an email to alternate about ending email. But there are things that I want to save, transfer etc. What's up with this?

Having the same issue as Patrick and feeling very betrayed. I've been a supporter of Care2 almost ten years now. Now, without notice, no email access when they said they would give us until Oct. 1.

I've had this for over a week now. Particularly alarming since the service will be killed at the end of the month. I may never be able to access my old emails again or update other accounts that rely on this address.

Same error for past several days. Probably should discontinue care2 email...too aggravating

Am having the same issues with care2 mail for close two months now. Did you get it fixed. Support seems non existent

Care2 is indeed a shady organization. I think all they care about nowadays is the revenue they generate via their ads. Their threads are run by bullies who troll vegan/vegetarian content who make personal attacks, and personal threats of violence against other Care2 members who stand up for animal rights. I believe these trolls are paid kill industry shills—I just cannot fathom who else would be so full of hatred for those who are in favor of animal rights, as well as who else would spend all-day, everyday spitting hatred and vitriol against anyone who dares to speak out against the exploitation of animals for profit. They make orchestrated attacks against any members who do not support the exploitation of animals for food, and towards those who express a desire to adapt a more compassionate lifestyle.
They get away with the most horrendous vile language and abhorrent attacks against others, yet when they are called out by name for as "TROLLS", it is the truth sayers who wind up with suspended accounts. The kill industry shills have been puking up the same scripted anti-vegan, anti-vegetarian nonsense for five+ years, posting thousands and thousands of hateful messages against anyone who does not support the killing of animals for profit, greed, etc. Yes indeed, Care2 should be renamed "We Don't Care, We Just Want Money from the Ads".

I have tried for a month to get a hold of someone about my email account and NO ONE will respond. I did exactly what they suggest you do for the error I am getting, but nothing from them. For a site that claims to "care" and "help", they definitely do not show that. I have been with them for over 15 years and now have lost all of my email contacts and emails. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Care2 is actively used to spread anti-Israel sentiments, including promotion of “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions” campaign as well as of various petitions having a clear pro-Palestinian bias. From time to time, Care2 forum is flooded with such posts, appearing in sections titled “us politics & gov’t”, “world”, “society in culture” and “health and wellness”.

Trolls with extreme leftist or Islamist views are frequently flooding this site with articles from known untrustworthy biased sources, like

This way, the trolls can force their agenda on millions of Care2 unsuspecting registered members, most of whom visit the site in search of articles about animals or real social justice. Unfortunately, Care2 administration is not always active in preventing such behavior and may delete accounts of members protesting the trolls.

Care2 had a security breach and they reset all passwords but I could never get into my account again. This happened YEARS ago and despite several attempts to contact them they NEVER got back to me, except for auto replies which told me they would get back to me asap. Pfft. It's getting to the stage where I'm just going to have to abandon my email there. Unfortunately my iTunes account is connected to that email. Oh well. It's just not worth the agrivation to pursue!

Definitely get some sort of refund for their services of at all possible

I could have written the above complaint because that is EXACTLY my experience. They suspended my account last December and have never told me why. I have begged and pleaded to have a chance to clear my email accounts, but no help has been forthcoming. Once I am able to get to my email and notify everyone that I am closing that account, they will never hear from me again. I also accumulated thousands and thousands of points and helped many causes, human and animal, but apparently CARE2 should change their name to DON'TCARE2--because they don't care. And I, being a conservative, was bullied by the mainly liberal members to the point that I started fighting back and that's when my account was suspended. My next step will be to post to FACEBOOK how terrible they treat their members.

Care2 is a shady organization. The forums there are controlled by nasty trolls. The trolls take over discussions that pertain to views they disagree with (such as animal rights, veganism) and they do nothing but try to agitate members. The trolls will flag and report people for no legitimate reasons, and they get the good standing, caring people suspended unjustly. Care2 will not reply to inquiries and they will never offer explanation for suspension. Meanwhile, the 'trolls' continue to spew their venom, insults and violate the Care2 code of conduct without being reprimanded or suspended. Care2 unjustly silences the people who genuinely care and desire to make progress and help make the world a more peaceful, compassionate and cleaner world, and they allow nasty, self absorbed trolls control the discussions. Also, by silencing/suspended the good folks who care, Care2 is preventing them from providing extra help to humans and non humans. Members accumulate points when they post and can use the points to supply children, adults, non human animals with food, clean water and supplies. We can also have trees planted with the points we accumulate. When Care2 silences us, we can no longer accumulate points and we can no longer contribute to help the needy through Care2. Bottom line is that Care2 doesn't seem to care at all, as they are a hypocritical and unjust organization that silences the voices of people who want to make a positive difference. Pass the word around---Care2 is a SCAM.
