Horrible company, don't buy from them!

This company is horrible!!! Horrible!!! They shipped this in a cardboard box, with paper and just one "ice pack". This chocolate will not make it anywhere in the original condition. When I received it, it was completed melted. There are many ways to ensure chocolate makes it to a destination without melting (i.e. dry ice, foam containers, etc), but this company is too cheap and too inconsiderate to use any of those. Don't buy anything from them unless you want it to arrive in a melted goo. And customer service is also horrible since they just tell you, oh well, we warned you. What they should be saying on this website as a warning is, "oh well, we don't know anything about how to ship candy, but we sell it to you anyways. We just want your money and don't care how it arrives, and will not do anything to make sure it arrives in good condition."

I am a fan of customer review boards but came across this one tonight and am disappointed to see a customer bashing a company on every review board he/she can find. I have seen this person's review on at least 5 review sites and it's a shame how vindictive a disgruntled customer can get. Hopefully, people are smart enough to look at the totality of candywarehouse.com's reviews as it appears to me that the majority of their reviews are very good. I have been buying candy from candywarehouse.com for over 5 years and have always been happy with their service and products. When I did order chocolate last summer, they gave me a courtesy call reminding me they do not return for melted products (which I see most online companies also do not do) and although icepacks may help, they only last 24-48 hours. I thanked them, decided to take the chance and received most of my items in perfect condition with one item slightly melted. It was summertime, it was 95 degrees, I was ordering chocolate and I took the chance (I believe I saw from Yelp that this person is from Florida - HOT!). They state all over their website that there are no refunds for melted items and even suggest ordering less heat sensitive items in the summer. We need to take some responsibility as consumers and we were forewarned (both on their website and even with a courtesy call).
