Took 3 week old camping trailer to Camping World of Chattanooga for warranty repairs. Awning broke on first use, black water tank valve would not close and shower leaked. Had an appoitnment with Camping World of Chattanooga for Tuesday am at 8:30. I was told work would start that day. After 10 days, a dozen calls and as many excuses my camper had not been touched. Could never get hold of service manager. I was told he was "busy" and the other service reps were rude. Finally went and picked-up the camper.

Dropped my camper off at Camping World Thornburg, Va in Sept 2018, still haven't gotten it back. Simple issues covered under warranty that need to be fixed (refrigerator didn't work, leveling jacks bled down while in travel, generator not working) NOTHING has been done. They sent us paperwork saying service would be complete Dec 2019 still NOTHING! My husband is a wounded warrior with 100% disability. The RV was supposed to be a way for us to relax and enjoy family time after months of surgeries and hospital stays. It has turned into added stress and anxiety. All of the money we put down and every payment since has been for absolutely NOTHING!

I will not ever purchase a Camper from this place again. I hope people will read up on Camping world before you go anywhere near Chattanooga Tennessee. My camper has had so many problem's. I just couldn't began to tell you all of them. The service department is pathetic. Turn around now ! Keep away !

Camping World of Charleston service department is #1 at dropping the ball. I usually don't speak critically of a so called organization but totally dissatisfied with services rendered or lack thereof at Camping World. We have had our Class A motorhome for 5 months and physical custody of it for only seven weeks of which due to it being parked at Camping World most of the time for repairs. I have received excuses such as "we don't have a certified technician on staff to address your issue" or "The only technician available is out due to kids breaking ankle in a softball game". Completely understand the ladder but for a company of prestigious acclaim as Camping World states I would think we would have a suitable staff replacement plan. Our camper was parked for 2 months now without even being diagnosed. Our rating for customer service in regards to repairs is certainly in the negative. Most of the staff has bad attitudes when you go in for updates as if we are not spending 140K for a vehicle we don't even have possession of. Notice to potential buyers stand clear of this company. Sales are outstanding, service is degrading and disheartening to say the least.

I would never buy from Camping World Chattanooga again because of their service dept! They have the worst service dept and do not care about the customer at all! My hope is that karma comes back around to them and they get the exact treatment that they give! Casey Sullivan and Rick Gutherie need to find a new job! They are useless at Camping World!

Today we drove 90 miles to just look at some Class C's. We were first escorted to a seat so the sales person could get all of our information. He ruin the whole deal. Instead of showing us what he had he proceeded to tell us what he could give for our trade. He should of asked us what We wanted to do instead of getting down to the financials because all we actually wanted to do was look. I guess you can not just look to decide what is best for us. I just walked out. You think I am mad at the price you offered us for our rig but that wasn't it at all. It was the fact he wouldn't even show us any models. Your loss, I would even buy an RV from Camping World of Chattanooga TN.
I see what you are trying to prevent with your salesman but my recommendation would be to show your rigs to sell them. We had our own financing/money to buy.
Bad Service

Lousy place don't do business with them they were to install a satellite & they broke our TV, lied about it said they wasn't responsible for damage. Half way installed the satellite not a cheap one mind you, wound up with half way installation & our TV broke into pieces. Charged us $300 more to put in wire that was already wired for the satellite. I will never go back to Camping World in Chattanooga Tennessee. Rude people too, they avoided our calls when we tried to call to see if they had finished when they promised to be. Go anywhere but to them!

Dropped off our fifth wheel end of April. Have had one phone call. We call and are told someone will call back. No one does and has been over a month. Will never trust Camping World with our rv again.

Absolute horrible experience at this Camping World Chattanooga.
I repeat...Absolute horrible experience at this Camping World Chattanooga.

DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY PURCHASE OR SERVICE ATTEMPT AT THIS LOCATION...
YOU SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO READ (MANY NEGATIVE) REVIEWS BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER.

More details to follow, but need to warn others as quickly as possible.

Michael Cloak was not included in the TV ad: A chance of comedy gold and tv history was missed. Poor oversight by the Camping World board!

I have had several (all negative) experiences with the service department at Camping World in Chattanooga TN. Their charges are exorbitant, (for example, $88 added to any service or installation for "Supplies", even if no supplies were needed. I challenged this charge and the only explanation was the example of "shop towels". My latest service was the installation of an Invisibrake in my Jeep, which required NO shop towels or other expendables. It's just a ripoff!. I had asked them what it would cost to install the Invisibrake and the quoted me $425. Another example, I took my motorhome in because one of the shades would not retract. They said they would have to replace the shade. I checked with the manufacturer and bought a $3.00 part which fixed it just fine. I had a water leak which poured during a rain. They could not figure out what to do so I contacted the manufacturer and they told me where to caulk and it fixed the problem for no cost.
They are incompetent and their charges are inflated to the point of being exorbitant.

I left my travel trailer with Camping World group in Rossford, Ohio to have my rubber roof recoated on Oct. 8th. Needless to say the job that was done was terrible. The rubber coating was applied with mop in the back and what appeared to be a roller in the front. They did not cut in the edges like they should have been. There's roof coating on the antennas, roof vent covers and a/c unit. One side of the trailer has roof coating drip marks. Unfortunately I have completely wash the unit to get all of streaks off of the paint before I covered it. I'm not sure what happened but they had my unit for 4 days and whoever worked on coating the roof, obviously, didn't know what they were doing. I wish I had pictures to send you but unfortunately for me it's covered and in storage. I also called the Service department and left a message to call me back on two occasions. Guess what. NO recalls. At this point I'm a very dissatisfied customer!

We took our 40' RV to them in July this year and left it for a month. We had the oil changed, and upon picking it up found the cap was left off! (nice one guys!) Then we had LED lights to be replaced, which didn't happen. Our ice maker wasn't dropping the ice cubes, and they CLAIMED to replace a wire, and now my ice make isn't working AT ALL! (thank you so much) Then they told me that our refrig. door got run over in the shop! (how special is that?) OH, the bedroom slide leaks rather badly when it rains, and they said they fixed that as well. Guess what? We just picked our RV up a week ago from storage and it rained this morning, and water poured into our unit! Many of these items are covered by our warranty, but Camping World is screwing them right and left. There is NO way anything got done, but they billed us labor etc. I have called a mobile repair guy to come out and do these repairs for us by weeks end. I will also be speaking to the Warranty Co., and make sure they know that Camping World is billing them, and NOT doing proper repairs. Steer clear of this place, they are totally incompetent! Sincerely Anne Prince

Bought new 2014 zinger camper in June. We did our walk through with them where they showed us how things worked. Make them do a good, complete walk through because they didn't with us. They are supposed to make sure Everything works before we leave with it but they did not do that. They didn't check hot water heater, antenna plug, or refrigerator. The fridge didn't work ( we found out) till we got home. I contacted them told them what happened and told them we had camping reservations and why didn't they really check the refrigerator. I took it back and they did reimburse my fuel cost so I was ok and they apologized. We went camping and like the camper but it leaked when it rained. Took it back and they fixed it but now my tire valve stem is leaking. Oh well. Not sure if I would buy a camper from them.

We just had a similar problem and the manager has not taken our calls or called us back as requested. After making an appointment and waiting a week to get it in it just sat there. A week later we called and they said it might be looked at the NEXT day.
When they called and said it was ready --driving over an hour each way, we picked it up at closing time. They rushed us out---said it was ready---took our money. Upon getting home we we find they left out some of our equipment. They did not fix the problem at all. They did some very very poor workman ship on the electrical (work not even an amateur would leave that way. But they did take our $681 for doing nothing. My husband went in and was thoroughly upset with the type work that they had attempted---and done wrong. It all had to be redone. Basically we gave them $681 to keep some of your equipment, do very very poor work and not fix anything. All of this is documented with pictures of how they had incorrectly done things. (evidently didn't even do a check to see if it was working after.) Nope don't go there. I could link the pictures but I doubt they ever read anything ---they surely don't care.

i took my new camper in for repair/warranty work. i had a list of 10 items...i made an appointment, Casey was the service advisor. they repaired all but three items, and were going to call me when they got authorization. after three weeks, i got no call...Casey had lost all the paperwork and the pictures. (she is an inadequate)... i talked to Tonia, i had to resend pics of all the things wrong. she got parts ordered and notified me they were in and ready to repair camper. i made an appointment, and it was suppose to take three days to repair. i carried the rv and left it. talked to Daniel...it was suppose to be ready on Monday. after one week, it is not ready, they have not done anything to it, have not started on it and don'k know when it will be repaired. Daniel has not answered two VOICE MAILS, AND ONE E-MAIL. please be warned...if you take your r.v to C>W>in Chattanooga you will be mad, irritated, because you will be lied to, and have inadequate work done, if you get any done at all. these people are lazy and don't care...

I too took a motorhome into this Camping World and was told it would be finished in 1 week. I called and they said it was finished and we drove 100 miles to pick it up and they had done nothing. After another week they called and said it was finished and again it was not. If the place is too busy to give good service to its customers then it should stop making appointments. But in the long run word of mouth should help slow down the business and eventually they will have plenty of spare time. As to the comment that everyone there is so nice...get real, they argued that they never gave a time frame (what? I just made it up?)

I have worked with the people at the sales counter for a few years now and I am (not by my own choice) no longer working there. I simply have this to say: if the service reps were rude to you, you had to have been extremely rude to them for a while. Casey, Jeff, Joel, and Nick (and I leave myself out since I do not work there anymore) are all great people and it takes a lot of attitude to get them to be rude to you. So, if you have a problem with anyone back there, you brought it on, buddy! I will agree that it probably took too long to get your work done, but for the last couple of years it has been EXTREMELY busy at Camping world of Chattanooga.
