Camping World 2016 jayco white hawk

Purchase new 2016 Jayco White Hawk in June 2016, from Camping World in Golden Colorado store. Some Items were NOT functional at the time of purchase (jack, speaker, window, etc.). All items documented at the time of sale as broken and needing replacement in an "I Owe You" list. I have brought the trailer in twice, and both times, the repairs have NOT been completed. It is now February 2017, and I have NO RESULTS. Dudley, the service manager, has been extremely rude, has not kept his commitments, has lied to me, and been verbally abusive to me, and mostly...has not fixed the trailer. 9 months later now! Donnie, the general manager of the store, has also committed to calling me back, and has not done so. I will NEVER buy another camper from this place again! At least not until the entire management staff is fired and replaced!

Camping World employment ny camping world

I hope that this reaches someone who understands business... I worke for this company for two years and yes i was terminated, but this is the most unorganized company i have ever been involved with from the GM to the Vp's. I hope that training will be a big improvement since this company has gone public because there is none. From my expierence they have no problem writing off millions of dollars in the service dept. Ive seen it with my eyes. No problem you can improve on that. The sales dept. Is the baby they make the money while the retail side i saw 150, 000$ in shrink i. Two years. I saw that the entire system is flawed. I saw vips once in a year after put into a position never done before in my life with NO training and as long as you push Good Sam, PPP, visas roadside your ok... I had a VIP if you lost thousands lof dollars it didnt matter what a way to lead... I just think that this whole operation is. Completely ran wrong from the top yo the bottom... I had the GM ask me too bribe a employee not to call corporate so he didnt get a complaint... Great leadership. I have never seen this before and it was a disturbing expierience...i plan to keep talking this...

Camping World sales

Went to Thompson RV on 1/14 to purchase a camper. Was informed that they were in the process of selling the business to Camping World. I was assured it was a good thing and while I needed make the down payment that day I needed to wait until 1/24 at 1030 to sign the paperwork. I was called on 1/23 at 1000am that they might not be able to get the paperwork ready. Finally at 330pm they called and said that they couldn't get the paperwork. There was no apology or trying to make up for THEIR screw up. They are the ones that gave the date for pickup. I just picked the time. My wife has to give at least 1wk notice for time off and working for the railroad I rarely know when I'll be home. Called the compliant line assured I'd get a call back trying to resolve this issue the very next day. Of course they did not call or email me.

Camping World 2016 keystone cougar fifth wheel

Bought the camper in July 2015..the sales experience was great! The problem is with the service dept. the calls to the service dept started in March 2016 when we were having problems with our air conditioner and radio..we had also noticed streaks all across the ceiling from front to back shortly after the camper was delivered. We were also ready to get the warranty work done on it..After attempts to get things set up with Rick Gutherie the service manager we began handling things thru Casey Sullivan the asst service manager. Its easier to get in touch with a Dr than getting Rick Gutherie to return a call or at least an email.Casey sent a tech to our camper twice and picked the camper up twice to go back to Camping World Chattanooga..The air conditioner had to be replaced as well as the radio and front door latch..Nothing was done about the ceiling with the first two trips to the camper by the tech or the first trip back to Camping World..the second time the camper was taken for 3 days to replace the ceiling panels as we were told.when we get the camper back it looked worse than before.they said they washed the ceiling and had replaced nothing but of course we weren't told until we asked.I emailed Casey the morning after we got the camper back from them.she said she was going on vacation and would call me when she returned to work.its been 3 months now! My husband talked to Rick Gutherie and he said he would talk to Keystone and get back with him.its been 3 months! I sent an email to Casey about 2 months ago and ask for our spare key back that was sent to Camping World with the camper.she never got back to me so I text Bill.Bill was the driver that picked up our camper.he called and said he told Casey and Casey didn't want to talk about our camper me or the missing key! So that's where we r now.spare key gone, air conditioner still turning off and on when it reaches the set temp, streaks all over the ceiling and we haven't been able to level the camper since the first trip to Camping World.Rick Gutherie and Casey Sullivan won't talk to us or even email us! This is the second camper we have bought from Camping World of Chattanooga..if we can't get these things fixed we will never buy from yall again!

Camping World collision repair service department

On June 17, 2016, I brought my 2008 Damon Essence to the Camping World in New Braunfels, Texas for collision repairs after the front passenger side tire blew out causing damages to the body, generator exhaust pipes, electrical wiring, and headlight. State Farm accepted the repair claims and covered them. Camping World promised me that my motor coach would be ready in three to four months but many month excuses for delaying the repairs due to the lack of parts. Last month I brought my insurance agent with me to look over and my agent said he did not believe whole story of many excuses. My motor coach is still in the collision center today (January 5, 2017) and still not ready. I am patience with your manager William (Bill) Heinrich and collision manager Steven Schneider. In 6 months, I keep paying for loan, insurance premium, and extended service warranty premium while I cannot ride in my motor coach. Thor Motor Coach merged with Damon Motor Coach in 2010 and Thor sent me the letter that it will provide the service and parts to all Damon motor coaches in what they need in any authorized dealers including Camping World. Please help. John Moehring

Camping World warranty work

Bought a 2017 Thor Elite class C the end of November. We were instructed to drive it and submit a list of concerns. We did such and returned the unit on Dec. 9, 2016 for warranty work. it is now Jan. 2, 2017 and have had nothing but a run around. 4 calls to service advisor Mike Miller of Fairfield Camping World have gone unreturned. Informed the salesman, Joe Finch, that I would be seeking a attorney for a lemon law case. He didn't seem concerned. Wish I had reviewed this site before buying this trailer. Don Helton [protected].

Camping World 2016 keystone carbon toyhailer

I am giving 2 stars for 1 Woodstock shipped our 2016 Keystone Carbon 5th wheel toy hauler from Florida because it was the floor plan we preferred 2 we got a descent trade value on our trade in.
During our walk through my husband noticed the roof looked like it was coming unglued. The tech said that is how the roof is made it will not give use any problems. He did notated the roof issue. The awning was also leaking, they fix the awning (or so we thought). After we got the camper home I was cleaning it, detail cleaning I noticed light coming through the front corner of the garage, my husband noticed the slide was not installed correctly and the awning was still leaking. We returned the camper for repair. The slide and garige wher fixed properly, the awning still leaks. After our first trip we noticed the screen in the garage was halfway put in, this caused the screen to rip at the bottom. They only bolted one side of the L brackets on the screen frame. When my husband went out West this summer the roof started leaking, he thought maybe something damaged it. He repaired the roof when he r#####ed. We had the camper for one year during the trip. After our trip in the fall we seen the roof is being cut buy the air conditioner in the same place, do this mean our roof is coming unglued in the front and blowing up on the AC unit. Keystone warranty only cover the material of the roof not installer error. Keystone did say if we get the notation from Camping World they will replace the roof... Camping World can not find the notes from the sale. After the fall trip when my husband was coming off the floor he noticed the latter is separating from the camper at the top, now out of warranty we have a latter that we can not use. Some of the screws are only in the side, did not make contact with the studs. I love our camper it would be the perfect camper for my family if it did not have all these issues. We now have to pay $4, 000.00 for a new roof on a camper that is less then 2 years old.

Camping World rv on consignment

We were approached on facebook by a sales person of camping world of Mac on because he saw our ad about selling our brand new 2017 rv. He said we pay nothing, we agree on selling price, they do the rest. We brought it in, sat around a public table, constant employee and customers traffic, we told them we wanted 20, 000 firm, it was a month old, we bought extras, and we purchased for almost 22, 000. They shoved papers in front of us to what they said was a similar rv, with figures of 17, to 19, we dropped to 19, come to find out later this rv they showed us was a 2016 less all the features it came with. It took 10 days to list, the 5 pictures were awful and there was a lot of false information on it, they actually have it down as having and am/gmail CASSETTE plater, um hello, really? They need to find new advertiser, then we find out they put the selling price of 24, 995, after telling us we are not gonna come close to getting 20, 000 for it. We wanted them to change, no response, we wanted to pick up our rv but then noticed in the print of contract that we have to pay 499.00 for advertising, not for false advertising, I wont, I put in a complaint with BBB, been a week and nothing and Ingo is still the same on ad site, I am one day away from going to the news, I here ABC the fixer does wonders, they want this kind of publicity, fine, ...untrustworthy and greedy and absolutely no communication at all, they have no idea of what good customers service is

We bought a fifth wheel from campers world of Uxbridge Ma had an issue and called 5 of their dealers while on the road, 4 did not return our call and one said they could not help us with an appointment and they were weeks out. The location were we bought it installed the 5 wheel incorrectly and did not adjust the setting on the camper correctly so we only had 4 inches space above our rails instead of the 8 we have now. As a result we blew out our back window and dented the back of the truck. they didn't want to hear about the $2500 it cost to fix it. I could go on and on. It is not a place to buy anything is you want service or satisfaction.

I consigned my 2013 park model Keystone Hideout to Camping World Kingston. It was in near perfect condition...minor wear and tear...all the bells and whistles...someone looking to buy it when I was selling it snapped the cabinet door. I was selling for $18, 000. Camping World settled with me for me to get $14, 650...they said I'd never get $18, 000. They advertised it for $19, 995. Within the first 90 days I was told I had to replace the roof (I had no leaks, no problems), the awning motor (there was no problem with the awning when I turned it over to them), the back door hinge (no problem with the door when I had it) and of course the cabinet door. I had my homeowners insurance go over the trailer and they said Camping World wanted to put a whole new 5 year roof on it, that they had removed the awning cap and wires were exposed causing the awning problem. The cabinet door was still broke and there was no problem with the back door. I refused to pay for a new roof...only to reseal the roof.

I should note that the reason I was selling is because my husband had suddenly passed away and I couldn't afford, nor wanted to keep, our seasonal site.

90 days...not sold. 60 more days and it disappears off the website. It sold. But not for what they wanted and being that I needed the money I settled for $11, 900 and they paid for the "repairs" . I was told to sign and fed-ex the title overnight on March 26. I did...and now April 20th I still await my money. Nobody can tell me why I don't have it other than "problems with their computer system". The consignment guy does nothing more than say he'll "email corporate". First he said I'd have the money by the 13th, then it was 10-14 days AFTER they turned over the trailer to the new owners on the 31st, then the computer glitch, then 14 BUSINESS days...today he informed me today was only the 14th business day (it's the 15th day, actually), there still isn't a issue day, AND he hung up on me. I've called two different customer service numbers, including corporate, and nobody returns my calls or gives any information to me. I would never recommend this company.

Camping World not repairing warranty items

2016 BlackRock Outdoors RV – ISSUES
John L. Holloway
Phone number: [protected]
E-mail: [protected]@yahoo.com
Good Sams # [protected]

I purchased a 2016 Black rock on 11Jun 2016, at the Idaho Falls, Idaho store. And on the walk around the outdoor kitchen door was found to be warped. I was told they would order a door and I could stop by to have it installed or they could ship it out to a camping world near me. I had not heard of a status by 18 July and called to get an up date. I was told they were waiting for the stickers, I explained I did not need stickers just want it fixed prior to a extended trip beginning in Aug. Was told they would have to wait for stickers. Received a call on 12 Aug 2016 at 1332 from Corney, he said they have the door and the stickers and asked if I want to come to Idaho falls or ship the parts somewhere. I explained that we are now living in the camper at Hill AFB and could someone come out to install he said he would email the manager to get authorization to send someone out, I then explained that the inside oven does not work (the pilot light is too far away from the thermo couple), outdoor kitchen light does not work, the extended shelf next to sink broke, and the outdoor kitchen slide locks are not aligned properly. I need that fixed as well. He said he would get authorization and let me know. On 15 Aug 2016 at 1330 received a call from Cody Rave asking where they should ship the part to, I explained again what I explained to Corney (and Cody did not know the oven did not work) and said I needed someone to come out prior to 17 Aug to fix as we were heading out again. Now Cody did try and find someone however he did not find any one prior to us leaving he did try and find a place along the route to fix the oven but the place was along the route. 31 Aug 2016 at 1000 called to speak to Cody and Cody was on vacation. So I explained the whole story again to Ashley, she put me on hold and she said she took down notes and would try and get in contact with someone and get me a status of someone coming out to fix. I did not hear anything back so on 01 Sept called and spoke to Rob, and surprise had to explain all the issues to him he said he would try and call Cody and find out how to help. On 08 Sept I called and spoke to Wayne Davis and asked to speak to Cody, he said he would have Cody call me, he did not. On 09 Sept at 1300spoke to Wayne Davis he said he would schedule with the good sams people and have someone come out to my location and fix all my issues, I gave him the location where I would be on 14 Sept, he said they may be at my location as early as 0800, I said that would be fine. On 14 Sept at 1600 I called Wayne Davis on his cell phone number he gave me, but there was no answer I did leave a message asking on the status. On 15 Sept Wayne Davis called to give me a status update, he told me since this was warranty work it has to be fixed at a camping world location. I was not happy but told him I need these issues fixed so he asked when would be good, I decided on 26 Sept at the Camping world in Nashville, TN. I said we are living in camper so can I park in the parking lot sunday afternoon and plug in so I could avoid the traffic Monday morning. He said he would explain to the Nashville Camping world and have someone get me plugged in. And that all issues could be fixed in one day. On 20 Sept at 1421 I called the Nashville Camping world and spoke to Megan, she had no idea about any other issues other than the Outdoor kitchen door replacement, (also the door had not even arrived yet) also she said that there is no place to plug in my camper. so WOW. Now I have ended a trip early to be at a location because I thought people were coming to fix my camper and now I will have to fight Nashville traffic on Monday morning, which I was trying to avoid. I did pass the other issues to Megan at the Nashville Camping world however she not sure if they will have to order parts to fix the oven. This whole situation is extremely frustrating when it seems the Idaho Falls Camping world is unable to help get anything solved for me. Idaho Falls Camping world service people are either in need for training or in the wrong profession, or both. I am extremely upset at the horrible service I have received from the Idaho Falls location. I chose to purchase my camper from a camping world and it appears I made a mistake.
The Nashville camping world people I spoke to are polite so I am looking forward to these issues getting fixed.

December 10 2016 sent following information to camping world to try and get these issues fixed. Have received no information from them at all. I have also attempted several phone calls.
** Found another Water leak to outdoor kitchen. it is a water line running to indoor kitchen sink. Picture Attached. (picture Named "Emergency_2)
NEED these water leak fixed.

Emergency Issue
1. Outdoor Kitchen hot water line leaks ( picture named “Emergency_1”)
** Just wanted to give an update and request an emergency repair on the outdoor kitchen which has sprung a leak. We noticed it this morning when there was water on the floor beside the tub, after investigating found the water leak to be the hot line on the outdoor kitchen. As you can see in the picture it is leaking from where the flexible hose connects to the 90 degree elbow. We request this to be fixed as soon as possible since this type of water leak will cause allot of damage if it is allowed to continue.

Also request the follow issues on the list to be fixed as soon as possible.
1. Oven inoperable
2. New outdoor kitchen door has no Key
3. Outdoor kitchen light requires switch installed – due to wrong light installed

12. RV propane gas detector inoperative (picture numbered “New_12”)

Old issues
1. Oven inoperable
2. New outdoor kitchen door has no Key
New issues
1. Outdoor kitchen light requires switch installed – due to wrong light installed

3. Right side of egg holder in refrigerator broken (picture numbered “New_3”)
4. Left cabinet on outdoor kitchen crooked (picture numbered “New_4”)
5. Right side of sink on outdoor kitchen water damaged – due to the fact the outdoor kitchen door was warped for so long (picture numbered “New_5”)

#1. I believe this camper to be a lemon OR it was NEVER a new camper but a refurbished camper SOLD as NEW. Why else would there be so many issues that Camping world is unable to fix. The outdoor kitchen door and oven have been work on twice prior to me taking this camper to the Nashville Camping world on 04 March. (parts were ordered incorrectly twice) And there are 14 other problems. Not little problems, water leaks, Propane line leaks, and Ice build-up inside the camper. In either case, a lemon or it was never new but refurbished, the only correct outcome is for Camping World to keep this RV and refund my Money.

#2. My RV has been at the Camping world in Nashville Tennessee since 04 March 2017.
And now after 67 days you have parts ordered. 67 DAYS. This process should have only taken 8 days. I will explain here is how it should have gone if you valued your customers Step #1: 3 days to assess what parts will be needed to fix any issues. Step #2: Order parts and wait for them to arrive – 5 days at most. (this is where camping world is after 67 days) step #3: 3 days to Install parts and ensure all issues are resolved. 11 days total. NOT 67 and counting. And when the parts finally do arrive at the Nashville Camping World most likely they will be the wrong parts (they have order wrong parts twice before)

#3. One of the main issues we have with this Camper is ICE on the inside of the camper when we are camping in the winter. We purchased a “four seasons” camper so this type thing would not happen. But it seems this is NOT a “four seasons” camper. (we have camped in Alaska so we understand how camper are supposed to work) Also, we have asked repeatedly how they will fix this issue and never have we received a straight answer. So we are left to assume they are not even addressing this issue.

#4. I have 16 issues that need to be fixed, that does not sound like a New camper. If it is new, It IS a lemon.

Camping World new 2016 holiday rambler vacationer class a rv

I purchased a new Holiday Rambler Vacationer in late September 2016 at Camping World in Akron, Ohio ( Sirpilla RV ). There was very little explanation of the coach and it's many accessories. We were practically shoved out the door and told to just make a list of problems with the coach and bring it in for service. We went to Florida for the winter and things began to go wrong and break. I went to Camping World in Gulf Breeze Fl and the service writer Amy said they aren't a Holiday Rambler dealer and said to go to Dixie RV' 2 hours away for warranty service. I went to Dixie RV and the service manager asked if I bought it at their store. When I said it was purchased at Camping World, he said we only work on our customers RV s and are not interested in working on your coach. I contacted Glenna Manley in the Camping World of Akron and she was able to get us a service appointment at Gulf Breeze Camping World. They looked at the problems with our coach and said they filed work order requests with Holiday Rambler corporate.
Problems:
Water leaking in around slides and windows when it rains. Their suggestion is to pull in the slides when it rains
When the bedroom slide is extended I can see light shining in on both sides of the bed. It is near my generator so fumes and who knows what bugs and rodents can get in. The service writer said that is normal with all coaches therefore it is a non issue.
When I hook up city water it runs out the fresh water tank overflow therefore I must keep turning the water on and off when I need water.
The Leveling Jacks don't work properly. They extend all of the way out trying to auto level and pull the wheels off of the ground. After a couple of days I must re level because the jack looses some pressure. Their answer... it was low on fluid.
My bay floods when it rains... There answer ... Rtv calking in a screw hole between 2 bays.
There are many other items wrong with this lemon and all Camping World will do is look at the problem and say it is normal.
Glenna Manley at Camping World of Akron has been the only person who has tried to help us and keep in contact to check on any progress or lack of progress.
If anyone is planning on buying an RV...

DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND DON'T BUY A HOLIDAY RAMBLER RV AND DEFINITELY DON'T BUY AN RV FROM CAMPING WORLD !

Camping World service or lack of

Tom Johnson's owned by Camping World has had our camper for six weeks and has yet to repair it, as per Crystal it is always someone else's fault. Crystal gave the wrong part numbers, and did not order parts when she should have, and does not follow up. If all Camping Worlds are as badly run as TJ's it just shows that the lack of customer service is what you get when a family company is bought out by Camping World.

I have been to several Camping World stores attempting to get repair work done. It has always been shoddy and haphazard. The service managers never even check to see if the work is done. They usually break or dirty up at least as much as they fix, and it always takes them months to get the simplest repair done. The reports of poor work and unskilled, unknowledgeable techs are spot on. I wouldn't run a crack house as poorly as this company is managed, and the low work ethic and poor customer service is endemic to the entire corporation. If you have any other option for your coach repairs, DO NOT select Camping World and expect to get a fair deal or reliable service.

Camping World general sales manager.

I was in a market for a class c RV. I saw a listing at Camping World of Mesa. I called talked to Fred a sales person. I asked if there were leveling jacks and was told there were. I began talking with Jan who was at a closer store. I asked her if the unit had leveling jacks and she said because it was 39 feet it should, it is not 39 feet and I told her that over the phone. She never checked. I was then called by Corey the Gen Manager. Corey asked how we could make the deal work. I said I did not like the dinette. He said he would replace the dinette with a jackknife sofa at no cost to me. I agreed. I tool leave and my sick wife traveled three hours to Avondale, AZ.

Once in the unit, we liked it but before we test drove the unit we discussed the dinette and the sofa switch out even decided on the replacement sofa. I asked again about the jacks. Jan looked for the controls, couldn't find them, she then looked under and realized only then that the unit did not have them on it.
We test drove the RV and it was nice. We went inside and Corey said that he would split the cost of the jacks with me. He told me the price would be $6, 000 dollars. I agreed to pay $3, 000 dollars. I was then told the sofa could not be swapped out because there were floor vents inside the dinette. No jacks, No sofa replacement.
I was shown the pricing sheet with tax title and license. I saw that the taxes were reasonable but thought that the licensing fee of $1, 999 was a bit high. I made arrangement to place a down payment. I was then told by Corey that it best to get the Joy stick jacks.
I was given the camping world catalog, went home excited. I looked at the catalog and found on page 185 that the joystick jack would cost $3112.35 with installation of $744-$792. $3, 000 of a total of $4, 000 is not splitting the cost 50%.
I then looked into the
Looked at the licensing fee. I found that the fee is on a brand new home is 60% of the base price multiplied by 2.8%. That amount is reduced by 16.25% per year for a used RV (AZDOT). So for $100, 000 dollar vehicle it would be 100, 000 x 60% = $60, 000; $60, 000 X 2.8 = 1, 680. That is the licensing fee for a brand new 100, 000 vehicle. The unit I was buying was a 50, 000 six year old RV being charged by Camping world of Avondale 1, 999 four times the actual cost. This is fraud.
I was then called and Corey continued the hard sale. Tried to deny the fees until I informed him that the finance person had already admitted to the mistake. We reached out an agreement which I was ok with but still no dinette swap out as promised.
The next day I inquired about an after market swap out at a local dealer. I was told it is easy all you needed was clearance for the vent.
I was then called by the Camping World consumer service follow up call. I explained to them what was happening, they called Camping World of Avondale. I was called by Eric from Avondale I explained what I had found out about the dinette. He said he would look into it.
The next day, Corey, the General Manager, called said he spoke with his boss and that they decided not to sale to us. I will never shop this store again. I had high hopes. Corey from Avondale is rude. I will post this write up everywhere so that people know that Camping world lies and does not keep their promises.

Camping World very poor service of a camping world dealer

This problem started on August 26, 2016 when I bought my Motor home at the Camping World Dealer in Greenwood, In. Since that time I have received nothing but poor service and cooperation on EVERY problem I have tried to deal with concerning this dealer. First of all I spent over $70, 000. on a used motor home at this dealer. This may not be significant to your corporation, but it is one of the biggest investments of my life. It all started by the dealer delaying my delivery by several days due to the reasoning of parts availability, I will give them that one except they kept telling me various reasons for the part availability over several days time. Next after taking delivery I preceded to return to my residence which is 85 miles away and stopped to get fuel in the motor home and discovered that I had no keys for the fuel fill doors on the vehicle. I called the dealer and they told me that I would have to return to the dealer of wait until the tried to find me the key. At that time I was over 60 miles away and they told me to go on home and they would find the keys and send them to me. After several calls and conversations with the salesman and service department the could not provide me with any keys over a TWO WEEK period. I was finally able to get one of the doors open and went to another RV dealer and they were able to match the key so I could fuel my vehicle. During this time I called to get a copy of the service that I paid over a $1000. for so I could include them with my records that I might know when the next service was due, but after several promised to provide me with these records they never did do it.
Moving on to the next encounter with this dealer, I went to register my vehicle and transfer the title over to me and the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles could find no record of the sale. So as usual I called the dealer 2 months after the purchase and they stated they had forgot to provide the paperwork to the state, after this complaint they only took over one week to resolve the problem. ONE WEEK, all they had to do was take the paperwork to a license branch and file it. By the way there is a license branch within 2 miles of the dealer! Now for the last and to me the most disturbing problem of all. I am now in Florida for the winter and my water heater has stopped functioning, I called a local rv repair company and they came out determined what was wrong and call Good Sam to get the OK to repair my problem and guess what Good Sam has no record of me having or purchasing a maintenance policy. I bought the Platinum Plan when I purchased the motor home along with tire and wheel, roadside assistance and other policies. So again I had to call the dealer and you guessed it, they FORGOT to file the policy with Good Sam. Again their incompetence is unacceptable! I have spoken with the dealer three times in the last three days and they can still not get my policy in affect.
This is the second complaint I have registered with your company about this dealer and on one occasion I was call by a person who stated he was the General Manager and told me he would look into these problems and to call him back at any time and he would help wherever he could. Well I have tried that and made several calls to the dealer and asked for the manager and was given a voice mail box, left a message and NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN CALL!
To me all of this is unacceptable and I would like to know what the corporate offices plan to do to remedy my situation?
By the way me and my wife have gone for four days without any hot water!
Please contact me by email at [protected]@brickyard.com and by tx at [protected]. Thank you, William A. Landes

Camping World 90k motorhome blew up on the way home from crooked dealer

My husband and I bought a used motor home 2012. from camping world of hope mills fayetteville. we paid $90, 000 for it, and was forced to buy all the other nonsense. on the way home the diesel motor siezed. the parts manager looks like a homeless man, and knows nothing about motors. the general manager smelled like he had been drinking all his life. I can't believe a big company runs a business like this. my children were in the rv. we waited 3 hours for a big enough tow truck. the driver said the r. v had more miles then the odometer said. the oil cooler was rotten. stay away from these liars.

You sound like an absolute fraud. Either that, or deficient in intelligence.

Let's examine the facts:

1. What reasonable person would pay $90, 000 for a motor home and then claim to be "forced into buying all the other nonsense on the way home". Did you call in like QVC and ask for the Bend Me Over Special? Furthermore, if the parts manager (you don't interact with them when you're buying off the sales floor, by the way) looked homeless (very judgmental of you), why did you continue with the transaction!?!?!?

2. "The general manager smelled like he had been drinking all his life..." Well then! Boy, did you reinforce the genius decision to buy from these folks! I've got some oceanfront property in Nevada that I would just love to sell a shrewd consumer like yourself! The motor home lasted for at least four years under your ownership, which is probably the real miracle. Did you expect the homeless parts manager (not like he had anything else to do after work, right?) to come change the oil for you regularly to ensure the motor didn't seize?

3. Even Crooked Hillary Clinton could see this was a bad deal. And, she makes horrible deals, folks. Horrible deals. I think you might be suffering from an acute case of lackofintelligenceitis. Very severe case.

Make America Great Again!

Camping World warranty work on my 1-month old forest river vibe 268rks

We bought our camper on September 10. 2016 at Camping World of Asheville. On our first trip 1 month later, we found some issues- tongue jack light not working, hose for outside grill missing, stove top cover missing (found the info in the manual), Cable TV not working, harness bracket under slide broken, harness fell on wheel while driving and the wires where scrubbed through and showing the copper. Also the brakes are rubbing in stop and go. We tried to call CW and we was in 4 days over 20 times routed to the mail box. nobody ever called us back. I was mad, because I was over 25 years in customer service and never experienced such ignoring. On our way back, we passed CW of Asheville anyway, so we decided to stop and drop the unit off for repair. I was standing over 10 minutes in front of the service desk, waiting to be acknowledged by the 3 employees behind. they did not even looked up. After I asked the first employee, she said, she is not responsible for service. She told me the guy at the end, after I had to ask her. I went to the guy and first thing he said- not hello - no- you have an appointment? I was even more mad and said: if you would had picked up your phone, you would know, why I'm here. they did not like it. he let me explain and as I asked, if he don't want to write down anything, he said- I have a customer- just go and walk around, I'll find you. well- that was another button pushed- but I stayed somewhat calm. I didn't wanted to walk around, so I waited at the counter. after a few minutes he said- I told you, I have a customer- go and walk around, I'll find you! wow- yeah- my reaction was not off the book anymore. I asked other employees at the shop floor about the manager- Theresa, the manager came and finally she agreed, that someone should help me. Yes- she had to make a girl on the counter go out with me- it was a discussion in front of me as customer. never would I have allowed this behavior in front of customers- but ok- we showed the girl- I think Christy was her name- not sure- what was wrong and she wrote it down- she told us, we will get updates and Forest River is hard to deal with- they are 2 weeks behind. We said- we need the unit back on thanks giving because of a planned trip.
now short: we never received a call back, nobody answered our calls, nobody bothered about us, and when we finally got through to somebody, we've been told that they are not responsible. We was also in contact with Forest River customer service. at FR we've been assured, all parts are available and can be shipped out the next day, as soon as they have a work order from CW. for over 4 weeks FR had no work order! As we got somebody at CW they told us, warranty was declined and they have to fix it some how. FR tried to call CW, but never got a response. FR called us to tell CW to call them to get this issue solved. As we called CW, the response was: this is not how we work- don't tell us, how to do our job! we got confirmed from FR the work order came in on November 4th and the parts where shipped out on nov. 7th 2016! On nov. 12th I drove 70 miles to CW and my camper was cramped within feeled 20 other new looking campers untouched in the last corner of their lot. filthy, dirty and full with bird poop. we are talking about a brand new camper paid with my hard earned money! I was steaming and blew a gasket. I went to the office and there they refused to listen to me. this is when I got real loud- yeah- they did not like that either. the manager came and yeah- instead of asking him self- what did we do wrong that the customer goes off on us? no- he tried to lecture me like a principal how to communicate with them and how to behave in his store- didn't go too well with me. he also was lying and said, they did not received any parts from Forest River and he also said: this is what you get, when you complain and tell us, how to do our jobs. I just told him, that I pick my camper up. he literally kicked me out and told the driver to get my camper. I was waiting outside- the driver pulled my camper up and let it drop a foot down form the jack onto the tongue jack- as I said - hey- you can do that a little more carful too, he was just laughing and drove off.
I called Forest River and they helped me very good. they managed to get me to another dealer- not CW - to get my unit fixed.
I will not ever spend another dime at CW. I've been treated like crap, and I do not accept this.
I believe- camping world is a good concept. A good concept what gets ruined by ignorant and lying employees who don't care about how much value the property is to their customers. My advise- close down customer service department and just sell campers- saves thousands of customers disappointing experiences like I had and how I read in reviews- I'm not the only one. Or- HIRE PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS.

For me- I will avoid Camping world like the devil holy water in the future.
I needed a lot of other parts - like a cover for my camper- but well- I will now purchase my needs somewhere else.

I've been in camping world many times and heard rude customers like you, and I've worked for another camper sales dealership and heard it there too. I've worked many different customer service jobs and never in my life have I experienced as many rude, disrespectful people as I have since dealing with RV owners. All camping service departments are the same when it comes to warranty work. I've heard it many times-the manufacture (Keystone, Forest River, Winnebago, Jayco, Heartland) actually will lie to you about the service location not contacting them. They don't want to deal with the customer getting nasty with them, so they throw it back on the service department that is trying to fix all of the mistakes the manufactures make while building the camper. Then the people that are trying to help you, get yelled at the most. I'm really not sure why RV owners feel the right to speak to people they way they do.

Camping World sales and repairs

we made an online offer on a new 2016 Crossroads z-1 272bh. we took out the bogus freight charge and dealer fee that only CW tries to charge. they accepted our offer so we went that Saturday to look at the camper. we decided we would get it. they told us we would pay a higher interest rate since we were paying a big down payment. I told them to give me back my $500 deposit and i would leave. (should have done that)! they finally said I could get 5.9% so we agreed. got in the finance managers office and he showed me what my monthly payment would be. I told him according to the payment calculator on their website the payment was too high. he grabbed the piece of paper and left the room. he came back in a few minutes with the correct amount. don't let them talk you into a good sam extended warranty like I did. we took the camper in September of 2015. the trim on the countertop was chipped and they assured me they would order a piece and call in about 2 weeks. at the end of December, I e-mailed corporate about the trim. I was contacted by someone at the oakwood ga store and had to tell them that there were pictures and an order on my file at their store. they finally found it and ordered it. only took 3 months. then in july, we were cleaning the camper for a trip, and I noticed the staples were coming out on the edge of the roof. in fact, it had ripped the rubber roof where it goes under the trim on the side. I contacted an independent rv repairman with over 30 yrs. experience and neither he nor I saw any cuts on the roof. he said it was a manufacturing defect. it was still under warranty so i called crossroads to see if an independent repair shop could do the repair. they said it would have to be an authorized dealer. I called southern rv in mcdonough ga and they said they were behind and it would probably be best to take it back to CW. (should have waited on them)! took it to CW on July 16th. on July 27th, they called and said the problem was not warranty but the camper had 2 cuts on the roof . I had pictures but not from the right angle to disprove their claim. (if you think you have a warranty repair on your roof, take pictures of every square inch of it) . so I called the insurance co. and got a claim #. called CW back with the #. gave the insurance adjuster the contact name and number. the guy in service waited 3 weeks to pass the info on to the collision manager so he could file with insurance. when they finally filed the claim, then had to wait 10 days on approval because of the louisiana flood claims that were coming in. they finally got started on repairs. was told it was ready to pick up on Oct. 8th. drove the 54 miles to the store and the tv antenna would not come all the way down, there was debris under the new roof membrane and to make it worse, they had scraped the side of the camper in about 5 places. I left it and had the insurance co. send someone to see what a bad job they were paying for. finally picked it up on nov. 5th. the tv antenna still would not come down and they had to adjust it while I waited. I have let all my good sam memberships expire and will never buy or have a camper worked on at CW again. find yourself a reputable dealer and buy from them!

Camping World cougar 5th wheel and hitch

We purchased a 5th wheel and had to have a hitch installed. The had to be ordered. When we went to have the hitch installed, they didn't have the right parts, had to reorder. Went in the second time the parts were the wrong ones again. We live over 2 hours a way. So by this time we were have to make a payment on this that they had not even delivered to us. The parts were ordered again. The also agreed to make the payment for September. We go back in Oct. for the hitch to be installed and the the air bag would not work on our truck. They gave a refund on that. I have called lots of time and have not yet received the promise for the mostly payment If the is the type of service after the sale It may look like I may have chosen a bad dealership

Camping World employees

I went to the Dothan Alabama camping world store and had the worst experience! First of all when I called the woman that answered the phone was completely rude. So when I went to the store a blonde headed employee was playing on the golf cart in the parking lot and almost hit me. Then when I get in, I was not greeted by anyone. Was not asked if I needed help or even said hello too. Then someone named Diani was very rude and even mocked me when she didn't think I seen or heard her. And the shorts that they were allowed to wear was so short that I wonder if it was rv being sold or prostitution! It was a horrific experience! If this is the kind of employees you hire, I promise your business is not one that I will EVER go to again! And I will tell everyone I know not to shop there! Very, very disappointed!
