Camping World the company sold me some rubbish and these batteries didn't hold the charge

I have purchased 2 batteries from Camping World. After one month I went to the auto store and they have checked these batteries. They said that they didn’t hold the charge. The company doesn’t want to replace them and said that these batteries were useful already. They could do nothing. I have paid $150 per ach battery and was shocked that after a month I needed new ones.

Camping World refunds for cancelled good sam products

When we purchased our Thor Motor Coach Hurricane 32A on 9/18/13 we had to purchase, in cash, Good Sam Gap Deficiency and a Good Sam Extended Service Plan. Of course, this money was due before we drove off the lot. On July 15, 2015 we sold the motorhome and were told we needed to sign papers requesting a refund of the two Good Sam policies. As soon as we received the bank release we went to CW and met with Tony Gruener, Business Manager. We provided the lien release and signed two forms to get our money back. We had not heard anything from CW or Good Sam by October 7, 2015. He told me his fax machine might have been giving him problems then so he'd re-fax the signed forms and we should get our money by November 9. At that time he gave me a total for the amount to be refunded. On November 13, 2015 I had to call Tony back again and this time he was less than friendly telling me I had to speak to Cheryl. When I spoke with her she said the she had the money and was writing me a check that day. A few days later the check came with an amount less than I was told. I left several voicemail messages for Cheryl and finally someone else called to tell me she was working at another CW in addition to the Strafford store and wondered what I wanted. This man said he would call Cheryl and find out why the check was for a different amount, but probably the business manager had told me wrong. He did call back later that day and told me that the check I received was for the extended service plan and that I would get another check for the Gap insurance and it should only be a few days until it was process and I should have it by Thanksgiving. On December 7 I called Cheryl AGAIN and left a voicemail. I kept calling CW to speak with Cheryl and was told again that she was working at another store and I should take to AJ (the guy who called me back the last time). This time AJ claimed he was not the one to talk to about this but he would check with Cheryl and call me back. After a few days of not hearing anything from CW I called Good Sam's Safe-Guard Products directly. Funny thing, they told me my refund was processed on October 16 and was received by CW on October 26. I am so disgusted with CW I can chew nails. Will I ever do business with them again? Not no, but hell no!

Camping World store and sales

This company has no care in the world for employees, customers Nothing they want you to sell memberships because it is clear profit for them, their road side doesn't cover as it is told when you first buy it, you have to upgrade. The Manager and GM of the NJ Swedesboro store will not help a customer at all they would rather talk bad about customers after they leave, they don't follow rules as in wrong pricing. Marcus allows this to happen because he feels no matter what he will get your money. People need to wake up and see their techs are under trained, and they don't back their work

Camping World stolen camper in camping worlds possession

My brand new 2015 32'coleman travel trailer was in for repairs and add ons. The work was only partially complete when we were called and told work was complete and to pick up. I was told to call when we were ready to pick up. I just happened to drive by camping world and saw my camper was out from the secured area and randomly placed in the parking lot. I told my husband and we went up there. Work was NOT complete on the camper, they were unable to find paperwork for the warranty work they did and my husband was pissed. We told them we would be back during the week so they could finish the work and so we could talk to the manager about the incomplete work and the extensive amount of time they had the camper. Long story short, camping world noticed on Monday that the camper was gone. Neither us or the sheriff were contacted. We owed them $300 for a spare tire we added on, you would think they would contact us and find out why the camper was gone and we hadn't paid yet. Anyway, we went to pick up today on, y to find out it had been stolen off THEIR lot. No apology from them, we were just told to file a claim through OUR insurance and that they were not responsible. I will be contacting headquarters Monday and am going to allow them a chance to make this right. I also hope the staff, especially the service manager, are fired. Would not do business with camping world of mid Missouri again to save my life.

No camping world has any cameras up to protect any customer from theft they would rather take the loss. They don't cover any loss when you have your trailer there, this is what Marcus wants to rip people off and the clowns that manage the stores are to stupid to see it. Good Luck

Camping World overcharge of quoted repair price

Work Order 41403: took our 2007 Tiffin Phaeton to Camping World Dothan, Al due to refrig not working on 05AUG2015. Jason Armstrong (Service Rep) called on 07AUG2015 and told me the cooling unit was bad and would either need to be repaired or replaced the whole unit. Quoted price of $657 to repair or $1152 to replace, not including labor. Told him to replace; my fault for not getting in writing duh.

Imagine our shock when we picked up rv on 03SEP2015 and was billed $4771.37. I have spoke to Jason and his response was "I have no idea where you got those figures". I told him I got them from him. He continued with the story of "you got the better deal" to which I replied "I did not ask for the better deal" I ask for the $1152 you quoted.

I sent this complaint to Camping World Customer Service on 04SEP2015; to date; Camping World has not responded further.

BUYER BEWARE Get everything in writing first.

Camping World service

I delivered my RV for my agreed upon appointment on 5/19/15. I had leakey a air bag and wore out king pins. All were covered by extended warranty. The repairs were promised to be complete by 6/1/15. I received a call on 5/19 from the tech asking me what the problem was. I told him to refer to the work order. After waiting patiently for two months, I called 7/20/15 to inquirer about what was going on. The service writer told me that the work order was at the techs station and he would call me 7/21 by 1:30 p.m.. I did not receive a call. 7/23 I emailed CW corporate about my complaints and concerns and the next day I received a call from Kevin Hicks the service manager. He told me that he would take care of everything and since I was out of town the next week I should call him when I got back into town. I phoned him on 8/3, 8/5, 8/6, 8/7. I finally emailed him and CW corporate 8/7 expressing my anger and concerns. On 8/11 i received a phone call in the late afternoon stating that my RV was ready after 95 days. After promising it to me after 14 days. 95 Days.On 8/12 I went to pick up my RV and voiced my dissatisfaction. They presented me with a $114.50 bill which I refused to pay. They forgave the $114.50. I also told them that I thought that one month's expenses as compensation would be fair to both parties. Approx $950.00I was informed also that They could not duplicate the air loss from the airbags. I asked them if they had an air gauge so we could check the air pressure in the air bags. They said they could not duplicate the problem. I told them that that was not what I asked. That I asked if they had an air pressure gauge. The conversation ended. Upon arriving home i checked the pressure in the bags. Right passenger side 68.5 psi. Left side drivers 8.0 psi. Obviously a leak somewhere. If I have to go to small claims court I will be asking for two months expense compensation. Remember 14 days promised, 95 days delivered. Kids out of school 1st week of June. Back in school 8-10-15

Camping World horrible customer service

I ordered a $1, 000 AC unit it took them a week just to email me that it was on backorder and then took another 15 days to arrive. There wasn't a dent or scratch on the box it came in. When we took it out the box it had 5 broken pieces we had no choice but to install it we had been without AC for a month already. I called customer service and told them that I needed a new one before I sent this back I couldn't wait another two weeks she said ok we will get back to you within 48 hours. four days later I call again and from the get go this guy didn't seem too happy with his job he literally cut me off mid sentence and put me on hold and hung up, if it wasn't on purpose why did he never call me back, so I call back and I was pretty mad so I apologize to the kind lady in advance and told her what had just happened she was totally nice and understandable she told me that in the system it said that I was to print out the papers on the internet and stick it on the box and return it first off I never received that email secondly I had to explain again that I have to have a replacement before I send this back and she understood and told me to please wait a second & that she wouldn't hang up on me that she had tI talk to her supervisor she comes back and tells me there's no way they can do that, that's their policy and I told her we spent $1000 there was no dings on the box so I it wasn't UPS it was placed in the box that way I told her there was no way I'm sending this back and its take another 2 weeks for this package to get there and another two weeks for them to send one out again she talked to her supervisor again another 2 or 3 times before we finally had something resolved but in the end I still had to pay for a brand new product that would take 2 weeks to get here. I asked her if there was going to be any problems with getting my reimbursement from the first a.c. and she told me it would all be taken care of. I feel like I shouldn't have to call four times to resolve an issue that should have never taken place in the beginning I believe that this is not very good customer service making the customer pay twice for a mistake that happened on your end and cause so much stress. I have photos but when I try to attach them it says the photos are too large.

Camping World shipping: slow & expensive

I tried to order an RV inline water filter via the Camping World website. I received an error message to enter shipping and billing info. However, shipping and billing info were already entered, so I called customer support and placed the order with an actual person -- who had poor elocution and terrible spelling skills. The call took a long time and then it turns out shipping was going to be almost $8 for one little item. OK, Fine. Whatever. It was still less than driving out to the only place that has this particular water filter + time and travel. But then it was announced to me that shipping would take 10 to 14 business days. So I asked to cancel the order and she said yes, but putting the money back on my credit card would take...you guessed it: 10 to 14 business days. The lesson here: ask about shipping before committing. The take-away: DON'T DEAL WITH CAMPING WORLD.

Camping World customer service

I placed an order for a camping chair for an upcoming trip. After I checked out I was THEN told that it could take 14 days to receive my chair.

I emailed them and asked to expedite the shipping as I needed it in a week and I was not given any shipping options at checkout. I received an email back stating that they don't have any other shipping options. I told them that I needed it for a specific date and that I was disappointed in the fact that I was not made aware of the long shipping times BEFORE I paid for the item. I then got a cheesey automated reply thanking me for letting them know that I was unhappy.

I replied again and got the same automated response. I decided to cancel my order and purchase the item with another company. I was told that my order had been cancelled and that my card would NOT be charged, but now TWO days later there is a charge on my card. I contacted them and showed them the proof that I was told my card would NOT be charged.

The answer I got was that it would take 5-7 business days to refund it. This company and its Customer Service are HORRIBLE!

I have never experienced such incompetence.Stay away from them!

Camping World poor customer service

Ordered online a foldable highchair for my grandson who was 6 months old at the time. Broke instantly.
I emailed them several times regarding it, and no reply...nothing. I realize that some products have issues,
it happens. But to not even acknowledge me is quite frustrating. Obviously they have no regard for the customers
or the quality of the product they are selling.

Camping World former employee sounds off

Folks as a former employee I have give this company 2 opportunities. It is most definitely common practice for management to tell the employees to lie to customers. I would not tell my worst enemy to take their camper there for repairs. The mistreating of employees give them no incentive to go the extra mile in representation of the company. This company's management has the lowest morals and a even lower morale of the employees because of that. Highest labor rates in our area and low moral fiber of management that trickles down to their subordinates, What a combination! Don't say you were not warned by a good source!

I have video's of two Pooler Ga's employees lying to my face, as well i have videos of repairs still wrong, a new vent that still leaks after being fixed twice, a door that pours like a river. Employees lie about everything they do and billed for repairs they did not do. So he is not lying and you should be ashamed of yourself calling him a liar.

Camping World wrong order/lying

I had an appointment, which was ignored; I was lied to about order, so it took six weeks instead of three weeks because they ordered the wrong awning; then they raised the price without notifying my insurance company, so that when I was told I could pick up my motor home, they refused to release it; now two days later they want everything to be hunky dorry between us

Camping World repair not done

I took my camper in to have them fix the lift system for the pop up camper. they said they fixed it as well as updating the wiring system which would not adapt to the vehicle wiring system and they said there was no adapter in existence to adapt the 4 prong to 7 prong. took the camper home put it up, packed it and the van and the lift system is stuck up, the exact reason I took it in in the first place. I also asked the to reengage the spring and pawl they did not do that. Called them they said the only thing the can do is schedule an appointment. The vans packed the kids are crying and we can't go camping. Thanks Camping world. I looked at the wiffle tree and spring and pawl mechanism, Camping World Never ever looked at it. Nothing done. Camping World Lost my business!

Camping World unwillingness to help

I bought an rv approximately a year ago (ace) we have had nothing but issues since the day it was bought! we spent over 70k on our first rv. I have exhausted all channels from their in store managers to the complaint dept. not to mention the regional will not even return my calls! this coach has had issues from the day we bought it (squeak from under the dash so loud you cant hear the radio, shimmy in the front end, we are on the 4th radio, stair has broke twice, leak from the roof vents and the list goes on!) all they want us to do is "bring it in" so I can spend another several hundred dollars and leave it for no less than 3 weeks for them to give me some bs about why the extended warranty isnt going to cover their outrages pricing and then when we drive it away its not fixed! it got to the point were it was in there so called service dept more than it was in my driveway! my family and I have asked them to trade us out of this one into a different model and they refused! do not buy anything from this company once they have your money they could care less about you

Camping World indifferent service

Customer review of camping world, north charlestown, south carolina

I purchased a 2013 winnebago in late january 2014 - still under warranty. I was given an undertaking that a full check would be completed before collection of the vehicle and absolutely no problem for collection in early april. Staff very courteous with lots of promises - that is the end of the positives.
The vehicle was not ready for collection despite prior communication/confirmation of collection date and no checks completed. Had to return vehicle for subsequent follow-up repairs - with very poor and indifferent workmanship. Again more undertakings followed by poor service, a totally indifferent attitude, poor internal communication and no customer liaison.
To date I have made 10 telephone calls and sent 3 emails including to senior management and have not had one response or update initiated by them concerning outstanding work and warranties.
I have travelled extensively in australasia, europe and south and east africa - never have I experienced such poor and indifferent service. I most certainly will utilize my best endeavours never ever to deal with camping world and hope that this is only indicative of the north charlestown branch.

You have a complaint about the condition of the 2013 Winnebago and said that a service was not completed prior to it being picked up but you never said what was wrong. Unless you give details, nobody knows if it is just you or if the service that was needed was indeed something that should have been taken care of prior to you picking it up.
I have purchased NEW cars that needed things fixed but nobody would have known until after it was driven. It didn't make me happy but it was not the fault of the dealer.

Camping World poor customer service

Had appointment on a Thursday to have roof of my RV inspected since two leaks were detected by me. Brought RV in the day before, service rep "Tom" wrote up work order, promised he would move RV into the secure area of the property. Never heard from them on Thursday, called at 4 p.m., service rep said they couldn't get to it until Friday. He didn't have courtesy to call and let us know status.
Called back Friday at 1 p.m.. Service rep said machine used to check for leaks was broke, but they fixed it, however, man who operates it had to leave because his sister was assaulted. Told "Tom" to cancel work order, I would come to p/u RV. I went in-person to talk to service dept manager. Noticed RV was still parked in unsecured area, never put where "Tom" said he would put it. He lied.
Spoke to "Paul" the service manager, who apologized for bad service and offered to do the roof inspection for free. He called back and said roof needed a $8, 500 re-roofing. Told him no way, but asked if his techs can seal areas that look suspicious. He agreed to call me when finished. Had to call back at 4:30 p.m. to find out status. "Paul" had gone home without calling us. Store was closing in 15 minutes and I was 35 miles away. I will NEVER purchase anything at Camping World again.

Camping World want refund

I purchased a camper at camper world in center conway new hampshire. It’s been a night mere.
On july 15th we went to camper world to pick up the camper. We were told that they would go straight thru the camper and fix everything, clean everything, and made sure everything worked. We paid over 500.00 for that service when we got there the camper was not ready, they told us it take two hour for them to go over the camper showing us how to use it. The guy there had no idea how anything work, he would not let us ask question he said it would make him lose his train of though. There were a lot of switch we had no idea how to use, he did not no how to even work the tv. He spent 20 mins and then left cause he did not know the answer to our question the service tech help a little more but it was a bad experience. Thing did not work, and they never cleaned or went thru the camper. We got the camper home and we were packing to leave I went to make the bed and was horrified the top of the bed and the closet was soaked and molded, the camper was never gone thru, there was dishes in the stove and tin foil and thing still left in the cabinets. And the water damage was terrible
We removed the shelf to look behind the bed and closet it was wet and mildew and lot of mold I have a mold allergy and my mom has lung cancer. The gas was never filled the camper never cleaned and the list goes on not enough room in this email to list all the problems.. I called them and they pick up the camper, they fixed the leaks with a half as.. Job and never cleaned up the mold. When we got the camper back they stapled the shelf never even put the screw back in or filled the screw holes. So we could not get behind the bed or closet they never took care of the mold, never touch anything behind the bed area, never cleaned under the mattress still wet and molded.
The chalking on the out side is terrible they state they found over 20 leaks and fixed them. But I looks like crap like a five year old did the caulking. The slide they said had to be fixed so they fixed it and again half as.. Job, the never even finished putting all the parts on the slide and the slide stated to fall apart. The slide leaks over by the kitchen and they stated the pieces were bent and they straighten them which bent again when the slide was put back out the parts should have been replaced the slide looks like I has had damage that was never disclosed to us. The toilet doesn’t stop running when you flush. The gages for the tanks do not work right and the admitted that they did not cleaned or go thur the camper before we pick it up they said they went thur the wrong camper and never did anything to ours in error, so far I used the camper for seven night and the mold has not been good for my elderly mom with lung cancer or for me with lupus and mold allergies. We would have pick out a different camper if we knew about the mold, the mold could have serious health problems for both of us. And now the stress is making me sick I can not go on with these problems and would like a full refund for the camper. They have the camper and state we bought as is and we did not last time I called on the camper I got a attitude and I do not need to deal with that. Im asking that for the safely and health, both physical and mental that you refund our money

Same thing just happened to my son and his wife. They bought a new camper and several little things went wrong very first time they used it. After only owning it for 9days they had to get it in for repairs. When they picked it up. The battery was dead and the wonderful
electric jack was no good...They then found on the invoice that there had been a repair in the roof done, before they even brought the camper home and now camping world will not give them another rv of equal value. who wants a camper with a leaky roof. That is why they bought a new one to begin with. Not to mention how terrible the customer service is.! They haven't even made the first payment on the camper yet and their experience is NOT GOOD!

I also bought a 2014 from CW in conway that was 2 months ago. The Camper was also never cleaned and we were charged for it. The paper work took over a month to get right, they never sent the Certificate of origin and had to send the Mass RMV 3 times and there were still errors. I had to pay a fine to Mass because I couldn't register and pay the taxes because the paper work was not right. When I called Sue to tellher of all the issues her response was she didn't deal with Mass RMV only NH and Maine. They took my money from Mass though!
When I picked up the RV we were told that Ford had a recall and that we had to take it ourselves to fix because the air conditioner, defrost and heat didn't work. Well this was the first lie there is no recall on this they just didn't fix it. I drove the RV home and we discovered one week later that there were several leaks, and that there was a problem with the ladder that had a defect in it.( it was ready to fall off thankfully no one was injured
I called to complain to Kevin B. The Regional Vice President and have gotten no where, he doesn't call back Very Poor customer service! At this point I would like a refund on what the fine I had to pay because it was not my fault the Conway doesn't know what they are doing. I would also like a refund on the money that I paid to have it cleaned.

Most of all I would like my New 2014 RV back with out any more issues. I think CW needs to improve their image because i will never purchase another RV or product from them.

I am really thinking about posting a sign on the back that warns others not to purchase from them

Camping World not honoring warranty

I would NEVER buy another RV from camping world..dropped 200K on our second RV on the 26th of August 2013...had in for for problems just two days later on our way from home to Missouri. We had only put 4 hours of drive time on the RV. (this included the 2 hours of drive time from the dealership to home on Monday)...they couldn't fix it in Knoxville and they identified an issue with the passenger side slide out. It was bent. Remember at this point we hadn't even had the slide outs out yet! So, went went on our trip listening tp the horrendous nosie the slide out made every mile. We returned it to the Asheville Camping world where we purchased it yesterday (as soon as we returned from our trip) for SIXTEEN items to be repaired and now got an email stating that the MAJOR problem...the bent slider...isn't a warranty issue. Stating we had to have caused it even though it was well documented by the Knoxville Camping world BEFORE we took it out on our trip. They claim we caught it on the passenger side chair which is what caused it to go out of alignment. Problem with that theory is that it wasn't caught on the passenger side chair until the last day of our trip and it was WELL documented by the Camping World in Knoxville their was an issue with the slider BEFORE our trip.

Camping World repair delay

We left our new 32fi Travel Trailer for warranty and impact damage from a recent camping trip 2 months ago. To this date they still have not completed repairs. excuses are vendor lost order, someone out sick, parts allegedly came in and a part was missing . Now they have found additional hidden damage and the adjuster will not come out to view it. I spoke with the adjuster and they have not called him. I have called the corp. help line and received a call back. Lots of apologies but no action. I have since heard other horror stories from consumers who have had similar experiences. I will follow up when we get more information.

Camping World price changes

Today I visited Camping World (Wyoming, MI) a place I had heard about and seen ad's from.I found what I was looking for and looked at the price, two prices, Regular Price and Our Price|.

The Our price of the regulator valve was $10;.99 on the shelf but when I went to pay it rang up at $14".35 ! a 40% increase so I ask why and the clerk said I could join their club for $25 and I told him, "I drove 50 miles to see your store and you want to add 40% to the price or charge me $25 to join your club, what a scam"". He replied, "but you got a good deal and saved money", I responded, No last year I bought the same type valve at WalMart for $8.99 but I came here today to visit your store"'. I told him I would never be back, .What a scam

Thus far, my experience with the transfer of a used class A diesel from Roanoke to Colfax has been a circus. The mileage advertised was off by 20, 000 and when the unit arrived to Colfax from Roanoke learned from salesman the air conditioners need to be replaced. The salesman had the manager speak to the manager in Roanoke about the unit before the transfer, but this large detail was left out. Now they want to send the unit back or have the party who owned the unit cover the air. All I am hearing now is consignment this and that...their ads should reflect "consignment" on units and managers need to be accountable for their decisions on transfers. Big details were omitted...
