Budget Savers i keep getting emails from everyone on here

I keep getting emails about what to do about this company, do not and I repeat do not get involved with this company, those of you who have I am not sure what you should do. I called the company and told them I wanted my money back and they gave me my money back.
As I said previously, they went so fast that it sounded as though everything was free and I would be getting this and that. I do not know how they got my credit card number without my consent, but they did. I never one time gave them my credit card number over the phone this is a scam and do not do any business with this company. I did get my money back, but if you dont, I do not know what to tell you. All I can tell you is dont get involved with this company.

Budget Savers is definately a scam. I spoke with customer service reps and they were just telemarketer who couldn't do anything. No supervisors... One girl said they didn't have computer access so she had no clue how to help. This scam comes from ordering anything off the TV (like Smooth Away, etc). Stay away and good luck getting off it.

The $1.00 part for the Budget Savers is a 30 day trial ONLY. Afterwards, if YOU like the product and decide to keep it, then this special product will be $24.95 per month afterwards. If you decide to not keep it, then a toll-free number should be on that package(a toll-free number will ALWAYS be there). Call the customer service and let them know that you decided not to continue and would like to return the item(its your choice). But remember this, if the Budget Savers ACTUALLY works for you in the long run(it has instructions inside for you to follow), then keep it, its worth the $25s.

I was also scammed by these people. They promised me coupons for gas, restaurants, etc., etc., etc., for the low price of $1.00, but then they stated taking $24.95 out of my account almost immediately...They did this twice before I noticed what was going on.
The number to call to get your money back is:[protected]
GOOD LUCK!

I was called to receive gas vouchers and $1000.00 grocery gift card. I was supposed to receive for free just for giving this woman 10 min of her time. I got charged $24.95 for something I did not receive or ever will. It frustrates me to know that these criminals are getting away with this everyday, and everyday charging more and more people for the same thing. It is hard enough these days to make a living yet ignorant people like this sitting at a desk conning others into this scam. I would like to see these people stopped.

OK, so I bought a fitness video and the next thing I know I've got these people calling me offering me all these savings and speaking so fast I can barely understand and agree to 3 things for $1 each. I called the phone numbers on my bank statement and 2 of the 3 were extremely nice and allow me over a month to decide if I want to keep it. The third one however, Budget Savers charged me $29.95 and when I called to ask why I was charged that money the rude as hell lady said they explained it all to me on the phone and I have never received anything. She said it takes 10 -14 days for me to receive my material which they knew it would take that long and they sucker you into buying stupid crap. Is there anyone that knows the right questions or things tosay to them to ensure that they will not charge my account again? I told them to cancel it and I will be highly upset if I get charged again.

Okay, now its ever so clear to me. I got scammed ! The lady that was talking to me had talked so fast I really couldn't get a word in. Then before I knew it the phone call was pretty much over. I remember hearing something about a 40 dollar gas card and a gift card from wal-mart for 25 dollars. ABSOLUTELY FREE! Just listen to what she says. So I did, even thou it did sound to good to be real. Then I get my statement in for my card and there was charges that I did not no about. Here 3 weeks later i receive stuff in the mail about i'm now a member for all kinds of stuff i specifically said no to. So for ... and giggles I check out this web site for the free gas card and of course I cant claim this 40 dollars of gas anywhere, so I start reading comments and I realize that I have been scammed! And theres nothing I can do about it, except when my phone rings don't answer it if I don't reconize the number or if they talk so fast you cant get a word in! And how did they get my card ##### anyways.

Budget Savers Failure to provide promised service

Hello (name) My name is John Smith and I am calling from Quality Resources because you recently purchased something from one of our marketing partners and this call may be recorded for quality and security purposes and I will be brief. The reason we are calling today is just to let you know as a preferred customer you’re receiving $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers in the mail. These are free and good for one year and you can buy your gas anywhere in the U.S. Now these should arrive in about 2 weeks so please keep an eye out for them, in the same envelope we’re sending the first 30 days of Budget Savers for only $1 dollar. It’s a brand new saving program that will save you money at a couple hundred stores like Home Depot, Target and Best Buy also restaurants like Chili’s, Red Lobster and McDonald’s. This is something we only send to preferred customers so there is no obligation to keep it and nothing to send back. Even if your not interested, make sure you don’t throw away the gas vouchers, the $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers is our way of saying thank you for being a preferred customer.

Remember the 30 day trial is only $1 dollar. It gives you full use of all the discounts. If you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days your benefits would extend automatically for just $24.95 a month again that’s only if you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days. It would be charged to your (Visa/Master Card/ American Express) ending in (last four digits). You can call and cancel anytime, on the toll free number that’s located on the front page. Either way you keep your $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers as a thank you. You still live in (city/state) correct?

Great, before I transfer you to our verification department to read your address back to you and to verify I did my job correctly, do you have any questions? When I transfer you, you’re going to hear a click. It may sound like I am hanging up. I’M NOT! It’s very important that you hold so you don’t get the same call again, ok? Enjoy your $50 dollars in gas vouchers, please hold.

TCPA=Always Attempt / TOL=we will add you to our internal do not call list.
That’s fine Mr. / Mrs. (last name); if you have any questions call [protected]. We are not calling from Visa/Master Card or American Express; we are a company calling you with a discounted offer. Have a nice day.

This is the script they read to you, they changed their name from Value Plus to Budget Savers but its the same stuff.
www.valueplusonline.com
www.budgetsaversonline.com

How it works is you agree to the dollar for 30 days and then get transferred and they up sell you two other packages. They are trial periods.
$1.00 - Budget Savers goes to $19.95/$24.95
$9.99 - Health Package goes to $49.95
$1.99 - Entertainment goes to $ 19.99 (i think)

One thing I don't understand is we as reps tell you how long the trial is my company clearly states 14 day trial then if you decide you keep it 29.95 the cancellation number is given to you twice so now its a scam because you paid no attention wow

hey, well they're $40 in gas VOUCHERS(4 $10 vouchers(quarterly)), buy your gas, mail the recipt get a check back in your name. Not a scam, just a pain.. IF you actually pay attention to the program you DO get discounts at places like Home Depot, Target, Best Buy, Chili's and Red Lobster. Yes it is a $1000 grocery WALLET ( manuf. coupons) They give it to you for a dollar to TRY for the first 30 days, after its $24.95 a mo. billed to your card on file. The cancelation number is on the VERY FRONT PAGE! You can cancel the FIRST day it comes in the mail. The only people getting "UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES" are the ones who cant call a number. Oh, and by the way.. they get your info from a marketing partner, usually something you buy on-line, t.v. or out of a catalog.. you gave them your info, they pre-qualified you as a preffered customer and thats why your getting calls(its a special offer). They DO have the last 4 digits of your card and type.. not enough to charge anything to your account. IF they do charge your account it's because YOU gave them your birthday and punced in 4 little tones.. remember that? Thats called your ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE. They have you do it atleast twice just so some of the slower people can acknowlege the fact they are being charged. Oh and by the way, if they even hear a call where they think the customer is unsure about what is being charged or what they are signing up to THE CALL GETS KILLED. That means they throw it out and nothing even gets sent out to you nor charged.. Bottom line.. LISTEN!

The fraud department of our bank phoned this evening to ask if I'd made certain charges on our checking account. THREE charges...each for $24.95 (one on June 9th, 10th and 11th)...all from Budget Savers. Of course I said I hadn't. I have no idea who this company is...I haven't purchased anything from them and I don't know who they are affiliated with. So they may be behind a company I purchased from this week. I did NOT authorize any charges. We had a fraud alert put on our card...so now we have to get new cards and dispute the charges through the bank. How can this be allowed ? Can nothing be done?

Spoke with customer service reps on 11/23/09 to stop all the automatic withdrawls from my account and remitted to me. Pulse and MVQ Privacy Matters 123 are the two cos. that were charging for their services. (BTW: I do not even know what services they provide, because I do not recall enrolling for their services) They both gladly refunded my money on 11/24/09, but then proceeded to charge me for Budget Savers for two more payments (Dec and Jan). When I called them today (1/8/10), I spoke with a Membership Svcs Rep named Lori, who stated my membership was cancelled as of today; however, I could not get my charges refunded to me through her offices. Refunds require a letter to be sent, a form to be filled out and returned, with an expectation of a refund in 7 weeks. She further stated that this membership was separate from the other memberships in which I had enrolled, so was not cancelled on my previous phone call. I do not ever recall enrolling in any memberships that would amount to monthly charges of $80.00 per month. And I am certain that I did, indeed, cancel Budget Savers in Nov. I found this complaint site by asking in Nov. who would listen to my complaint and that is why I am writing you. I have kept notes of all the contacts to whom I spoke during my phone calls. These contacts and this complaint form have now comsumed about two hours of my time. I have never in my life of 30 years of financial independence written a complaint letter about a company before today. If futher questions, please contact me through this email address. Thank you.

Supposeably i ordered something from the dish network and got a call from a woman saying that i was going to get a voucher from budget savers for a free gas card, and $1, 000 dollars in coupons for groceries and a gift card for WalMart for $25 free. She promise all this stuff and said isnt that great, before i knew it, she sent me to another woman who said i was enrolled in such and such. So between wal mart and dish tv and health options, all these companies are using scams to get money out of its customers. Be careful when someone calls up and says you get all this stuff, I still have no idea how these companies got my card # the names that my credit card gave me was budget savers and health options, I did not give anyone permission to take anything off my card. It is a scam and who knows what companies are involved in this.

This is a scam company and it will not let you cancel your membership. I purchased an item off of a TV ad and these people called me an kepted trying to sell me all kinds of stuff I did not want, I told them at that time I did not want anything else but what I ordered from the ad on TV.

Budget Savers called my cell phone and talked to my girlfriend, never me. She never agreed to anything but 2 days later I was charged 19.95 by Peoples Health EX and then another 1.00 from Budget Savers. These people never had consent to charge anything to my account. As far as I know I never had dealt with them before or gave them permission to charge anything to my account. I hope I can get this settled.

I cannot access my "Free $100 Gas Rebates" that these people promised me with NO OBLIGATION to try their services! Also, when they called me (they got my number from an online order that I placed for Criss Angel's Magic Kit), the lady informed me that they will charge $1.00 to my credit card and then I could call back within 7-10 business days, once I receive my Budget Savers kit in the mail. Well, I received the paper over 14 days later! It says that they will bill me $29.95 per month from here on out! FRAUDULENT AND SCAM! I am gonna have to cancel my credit card just to prevent them from stealing from me! AND I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO PRINT OUT MY GAS VOUCHERS WITH THIS BOGUS WEBSITE THEY PROVIDE!

I have recently been scammed by Budget Savers for 100$ in charges to my personal check card. When i called they told me i agreed to let them deduct money from my account for their services. "services please they never sent me anything or did anything for me" Heck i never heard of them till i checked my balance and found they had been charging me since july. i know you people dont know me but money is tight an i never let any company deduct from my account for anything. I pay late and even then i have to borrow to do it. So when i found they been deducting from me i called to have it out. They claim they will look into it but we all know what that means"haha you aint getting [censored] back". I am frustrated to know my personal card info is being given out to companies i never heard of and wish i knew who did it. I called my dish network company and asked if they gave out my info but they fully deny any part of it. I say to all of you plastic is not cash it is fools gold. So in close i would like to say f*ck Budget Savers and one who is affiliated with them. May you all drown in the money you stole from the people who are trying to survive.

the first time this happened, they called to tell me about some program in which when you buy something you get about 60% off the selected item and that was for several different stores such as Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot and so on. and so they said they would send it out to me with something in the envelope. I refused and they still charged me $1.00 and then after that they charged me $19.95 and i never received anything in the mail so i called the cancellation center and they took it off with no problem. Except same thing happened to me they called again on Friday night (1/02/09)(which for one thing is stupid due to the fact that they are not open on Saturday or Sunday for over the phone cancellation of this nonsense) and anyways so the lady said that she was going to offer me something called Budget Savers. So she was explaining to me what it was and said that i would get a free $40.00 gas rebate card for being a valued member. Right about this time in my mind i already knew what was going to happen since this is the 2nd time this happened within about 2 months. So the lady was talking about all this crap saying i can save so much money and stuff and all that junk and so i interrupted her and said "I'm not going to need this thank you i'm not interested i don't have a car yet i'm only 17." and her response was "Sir i realize lots of people are not driving these days but still you get to keep the gas voucher for free whether you want the program or not." All i'm saying these people have been bothering me and breaking into my bank account taking money from me without my consent. Right after they called on Friday, i called the cancellation center and said i wanted to stop them from taking money from me and such and now when i call them tomorrow (1/5/09) i'm going to tell them to take me off their calling list and also i'm going to the bank to maybe get my bank account number changed or something or maybe get a new card but still that's not going to stop them from taking other peoples money. Just warning people so they don't fall into the same trap i fell into they are all out the just waiting to scam people and this is not right what their doing getting people's credit/debit card number and charging them money for no reason even though they don't want the stuff they're selling. Believe me the next time this kind of fraud happens to me i will be obliged to pick up the phone and talk to the BBB.

I checked my bank statements I saw there was a $24.95 charge to Budget Savers. I have never even heard of them. When I called the number I told them to cancel it and that I would be making a complaint. I told them I wanted my money back into my account, but they said "they don't have authorization." I immediately called my bank and had the card blocked. My bank is going to investigate it as a fraudulant claim.

I just check my bank statements and I saw there is a $24.95 charge in my account this "random" company I never gave my account number to. I went three month back in my bank statement and saw they've been withdrawing money those past three month or maybe more without my authorization. I just emailed my bank to tell them that and I just sent them a feed back in their website. They better stop or there will be serious consequences!

The same exact thing happened to me. They took $40.00 out of my account. I had to cancel my card and get a new one. I am so frustrated. I am a college student and I cant afford to be losing any money for any reason, especially from some scam.

I was wondering though, what is the cancellation number? And when you called, did they return the money?

Budget Savers money taken out of account

I have never had any problems purchasing items over the internet before, so you would think I wouldn't have a problem. I bought Acaiberry. All I had to do was pay for shipping, so I bought the item. Within a few days I receive a phone call from Budger savers saying I had 5 days to cancel or my account would be charged. I called on a friday to cancel, she said mam, you aren't even in the system yet, you have 30 days to cancel. Well, by Monday, my card was charged 28.00, for something, then 1.00 for something else, then 1.98 and so on. I'm going to call the bank and cancel my card number so no further charges will be charged. I didn't give these people permission to charge anything on my account and the women told me I had 30 days to cancel. It makes my stomach turn to think that people can do this and get away with it. The only thing I think I can do is call my bank.

Budget Savers Unable to use service that was paid for

I could actually see a value to purchasing this product www.budgetsaversonline.com. It is a $19.95 fee monthly (and like all the other folks commentingon this website...I don't know how they got my information or credit card number). But, if you purchase the full amount of gift cards allowed each month, it is a $25.00 savings, so a $5.05 savings after your monthly fee, plus the $40 rebate on gas (and I did get my first $10 rebate check back--you have to submit a request for the $10 quarterly, so it is not $40 all at once)--and you can save $60 more on gas (in $5 at a time rebates). There's some other things on the website--like $100 back on home repairs. So, if you really pay attention, make sure you use it monthly and send in for your rebates, you save a little $$. I also like purchasing my gift cards early in the month. Walmart is an option and we spend $150-$200 there a week, so I KNEW I would spend that money anyway. My husband is paid once a month and we struggle to budget...so buying gift cards ahead of time for products I have to buy anyway is convenient!

HOWEVER...the website is now not allowing me to purchasing any gift cards. And the toll free line they give for "any questions about your Budget Savers membership"...is [protected]. Every rep there claims to know nothing about the website, can't help me purchase my gift cards and doesn't know how I can get in touch with Budget Savers. They can cancel my membership, they tell me (this after debiting my account on 9/29...they didn't have any problem taking MY money).

I'm pissed...as you might expect. I just sent in for a $5 gas rebate...and a $10 rebate back on what I had spent at Walmart (that's another service they offer)...and of course, I have to still be a member for them to process the rebates. So, I really don't want to cancel...I want to USE this program. But, it certainly doesn't save me anything if I can't purchase the gift cards and save the $25 that covers my monthly fee + $5.05.

So, steer clear of these folks. And quiz the heck out of them if they call you! How the heck are they getting our credit card info?

This "business" and another "business" called MVQ*BEST BENEFITS both charged my Discover Card (MVQ charged $29.95, and PRO*BUDGET SAVERS charged $24.95 and also a $1.00 charge. Both have charged for the second time.
I am asking DiscoverCard to refund and rescind the charges.
I have contacted BetterBusinessBureau of Illinois, located in Chicago, to root out these "businesses" and take appropriate steps to correct this gross injustice.
They obviously got my info from my order by telelphone of a Swivel Sweeper that I saw demonstrated on TV. The charges all came in at the same time. {The Swivel Sweeper was a legitimate order, and arrived in good condition and in a timely manner.}

This company some how obtained my debit card/Bank information from another company and began deducting $24.95 a month. Budget savers, thanks for causing me trouble. Now I have to file a complaint with my bank and cancel my debit card and wait 10 days to obtain a new card. Thanks again! JERKS!

I joined in February, never received anything in the mail including free gas cards and visa card. I did however; receive a monthly billing for $24.95. Fraud as I see it.

This company is a complete fraud and I am in the process of filing complaints with everyone I can find. Budget Savers Monthly charged our debit card for months and never sent us a letter or any other type of documentation and never provided any service or merchandise. They refused to tell us how they got our information and only said that we authorized the charges and that they were not obligated to tell us or do anything else. They were happy to cancel our membership, but refused to refund any of the money that they stole from our account. We've already filed a complaint with our bank, but I will be pushing this anywhere that will listing ... including any blogs.

I agree, they also told me they got my information because I made an online purchase but could not tell which retailer I made the purchase from. They offered me a free gas card and during my free trial, (which was not free because they had charge me $3.99). I never received anything in the mail and when I was charged for the next month I called to cancel ( no problem with the number because it was on my bank statement and I only waited 1 minute to reach someone), but the girl was quick to cancel my membership and rushed me off the phone.

i ordered something online, and that company shared my information, because i started getting a lot of calls from a lot of different companies. they all stated that i had a "trial" period, where the product was free, but they didn't tell me that the trial period would end before i had received the product. budget savers called me last week, to tell me that i was enrolled and they were sending me free gas cards and that if i didn't want to be in the program that i could call and cancel anytime, and that the phone number is in the packet. i haven't received anything in the mail yet, but the charges are on my bank statement. i went online to get a contact number, but there is only an email contact, and they ask for your customer number, which i, of course, don't have yet, so i had to spend 15 minutes looking for a phone number, and then 10 minutes waiting to talk to someone. the phone number is [protected]. and of course, they only work monday to friday. when these people call you, tell them you are not interested.
