Sent book after account 'closed'
I was a member of the club for several years, no major problems. I cancelled the account and had messages from Customer Service indicating it had been closed. Then I receive a book I never ordered. Customer Service indicated account had been closed, but I owed for the book sent. Numerous emails back and forth. "Account now closed", so I thought problem resolved. Several months later, I started receiving bills again for book I didn't order. They never resolved the issue, so I ended up paying since the book had been sent, even though I didn't order it. Hopefully this is now fully-resolved. I would never recommend this book club to anyone I liked or cared about!

I have been trying to get into my BOMC2 account for 2 days, and it doesn't work. What can I do except call, which I don't want to do. All I need to do is order a book. Duh!

money coming out but no books
I signed up for this book club site under a survey account. I never got my free book and wrote them letting them know and got no response. Now it has been some odd months probably close to a year and I haven't recived one book from them but yet every month $9.95 comes out of my checking! I would like them to stop taking out my money and possibly refund me my money! I am a member of a book club and thought this would be away to pick out our books instead they just steal my money every month and I didn't even get credit for the survey since never recieving a book!
cancelling account
I have cancelled my account 3 times now or should I say tried to cancel my account. They keep sending the books and keep charging my account. I have returned books and have not received the credit for the return. Today I sent another email to cancel my account, this makes four times now. This company does not have a telephone number for customer support so can only use email. Is their any other options available to me to get this account cancelled and the charges stopped.

Their phone number is below they will do anything and everything to keep your credit card charging. They're ruthless company worse than Columbia House. please send us an email at customer.service@bomc2.com or call us at [protected] drive them crazy until they do OR have your credit card block any transaction from the company. If it's a debit card your bank can specifically disallow a particular merchant from charging your card especially if it's ACH. Also contact BBB

charging my credit card for books i never ordered
I WAS CHARGED FOR BOOS I NEVER ORDERED MAY 10, 26 AND JUNE 14 2010. I HAD TO CHANGE MY NUMBER AND THEY DID IT AGAIN. MY BANK SAID WHEN I ORDERED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ( BLOOD TEST STRIPS) THEY GOT THE NUMBER FROM THAT. I ASKED THEM TO STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD AND SHE SAID I MUST HAVE OPENED THE ACCOUNT. I DISPUTED THAT AND ASKED THEM NOT TO TAKE ANY MORE MONEY FROM MY CARD. HOW IS THIS HAPPENING AND THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT THIS.

I have tried over and over to cancel with these people and they have
disappeared! I have tried to get a hold of their customer service people
and have been given the run around, I don't know what to do accept contact my Attorney General and have them take over and work on it.
I have fulfilled my obligations now it's their turn.

im so mad! I just seen that they are charging me 10.98 monthly charges just to be in the club! Ive been taken for over 50 buvks and got nothing in return. I can only Email them to cancel? I have to complain to my bank that I did not authorize these charges
I Have had the same problem as well. In my opinion this nothing but a scam. I also agree that they seem to have disappeared but not before taking our money. If anyone has found a way to cancel their account, please let me know how you did it.
I have also had problems with bomc2, has anyone been able to actually get a customer service phone#? I have again and again requested this info from them through email, and no response. I agree with the person who says they seem to have disappeared- when you click on the link for either cust. service or terms and conditions, the pages will not open. Anyone have any luck getting an actual phone# for these people?
Its true they have poor service and the way they trap you into staying with that company is wrong a person should be able to change their mind without having to pay a price their nothing but crooks
Fraud
I never ordered this product.
Someone stole my credit card details and made this purchase.
I feel it is from within the company. Why would someone outside of the company actually do this and have the product actually sent.
I called the company and they said the purchase was made on line.
They told me to just throw away the book and they would discontinue the subscription.
How can i trust that they will do that. Maybe this is another scam.. They tell me to throw it away and then when my bank makes a claim with them they say they never got the product back?

I am concerned also. Last month (June for July's book) for the first time they shipped my book late...my shipping date is the 29th. It wasn't shipped until the middle of July...now I am waiting for my July book that should have shipped on July 29th...not shipped and not charged...The old web site is gone, my purchase history is not available. My reading list says 31 books, but only 6 show...no place to find out what or if the July book has been shipped. THREE credit cards listed...2 have expired...SOOOOOOOOOOO, I canceled the expired cards, change my remaining card to one that will expire next month and I am ALL DONE. I have been a faithful 6 year+ member but something is wrong here...and I no longer trust them, so I am bailing...

i asked bomc2 to cancel my acct a couple of months back. recently my card was deactivated AND my checking acct linked to that card was closed. somehow, bomc2 has charged my SAVINGS acct. i submitted a second cancellation request letting them know they need to cancel it because i do not use the service anymore AND that they charged my savings acct. please help if you can by letting the public know that this company is a rip-off.

This is a SCAM SCAM SCAM...after I cancelled my account last summer and my card expired. I called my credit card company and found out that BMOC2 change the expiration date to force charges of $9.95 though on my credit card. #1 BOMC2 was wrong for going into my account and committing fraud. #2 - my credit card carrier should never have let the charge go through without the proper information. Bottom line. They are unethical and the credit card company has had so many complaints about this company, they are now launching a full scale investigation and lawsuit against this company. So for all of you guys who "think they are great", I guess we will see in a couple of months if this company is still functioning.
We never purchased any books, never signed up, never visited their web site, but we have been billed $9.95 a week for months on end. Our credit card company keeps reversing the charges and we have changed card and account numbers, but they keep billing us somehow. Tried the number they provided our cc company with no results. Going to try the NY number listed above.
Can not be a legitimate business if they continue to charge you for a service or product you never asked for. Scam is not the right word, this is fraud!

I canceled this account back in July 2011 but just noticed I am still being charged $10.50/mo. Please investigate and return those erant charges. I am on a small fixed income and cannot afford to lose this money. hank you and best regards, Sarah Boykin Smithey
I never ordered to join bomc2 I've been charged for this service every month on my credit card. Tried to remove it cannot get a hold of them to cancel and get my money back or at least stop having it taken out of my credit card every month.
Money was withdrawn after membership cancelled and confirmation sent from the book club that request had been processed. Stated no future withdrawals from the account would occur, nor would I receive any further books. So what happened
I would like to know why I am still being charged for books after my membership has been completed. For the last several months my account has had these 10.55 charges on them and I have been done with the Book of the Month Club 2 for at least 3 months! What is with this? And when can I geT MY REFUND!
I signed up for their services because I thought it sounded great! Now, the website has disappeared, along with my CC information. Looks like I'm gonna have to keep an eye on my CC statements from now on, or even cancel it.
