Bob's Discount Furniture cheap products, bad service

Last month we bought the Apollo reclining sofa and loveseat set. We opted for the non-power verison. It has been less than a month and the backs of both pieces are wobbly and loose. One of the backs even pops out of it's "slot" every once in a while. This is with normal wear. None of us are jumping on these couches. We called and had a tech come out today only to tell us that there was nothing they could do, that it was "normal". It's normal for the backs of couches to be wobbly and pop out of their slots for no reason? They were very rude and refused to help us out anymore, and pointed out that our "goof proof" guarantee was not valid anymore because there were cat claw marks on the loveseat. I wasn't asking them to fix the claw marks. I was not asking them to replace my set. I wanted them to FIX the wobbly back. I fail to see how that has anything to do with 2 or 3 claw marks on the front of one of the pieces. I am extremely dissatisfied and they are refusing to help me.

Bob's Discount Furniture horrible quality - cheap in very sense of the word

purchased a living room set 2 1/2 years ago and it's falling apart. loved it at first but then zippers on pillow covers started breaking (can't be removed), cushion zippers broke, and couch springs started sagging. it makes me sick to my stomach when I look at the set. BOB's should be ashamed of themselves for selling such junk. But why would they - everything is a dollar sign to the company the minute you walk through their doors. Buyer beware when going to Bob's ... Think twice. My advice spend the extra money and go buy quality. the items they have is junk in its purest form. Do not buy from them. as soon as their "good proof" plan expires, so does the piece. Please, please, do not go there for furniture. They should go out of business.

Bob's Discount Furniture goof proof lie

purchased a bedroom in 2007. while there spoke about a living room set. told by salesman that if i purchased before the order was closed all would be covered by Goof Proof. LIE. They tell me now that it is a problem with the way the EX salesman wrote up the order and won't cover it under goof proof protection plan. Guess what. Bob you LIE too. Your commercials say its so easy and it is not. Stand up for the consumer. If I would know how to write your invoices that I would work for you and thankfully I don't work for you because you LIE. Will make sure no one I know buys from Bobs, I will no longer buy from Bobs and I will try my best to find and speak with Bob himself about his terrible customer service. Hey Bob do you have the guts to go on Undercover Boss? You will find out all the bad in your company that you are living happily off of.

Bob's Discount Furniture so angry

I caught my Father on a giving day and we just happened to be close to a Bob's Furniture Store and my Father said, lets go in. Needless to say, we did and made a HUGE MISTAKE. He bought me and entire living room set and an entire bedroom set on the spot. Looked nice but...got it home used it (regular wear and tear, I am a single woman) everything started breaking. The legs on the bed, the legs on the coffee and end tables, all the knobs on ALL THE PIECES came off and wouldn't go back on. Sofa cushions started changing shape and looked deformed. The list goes on and on! The guys that the send to "solve problems" have no clue as to what their doing and state that they don't see the problems that are right under their noses! Idiots! We spent $4, 000 with them that day. That was only ONE YEAR AGO. Do not, do not, do not, under any circumstances buy anything there! Cheap is not the word. If I could I would stand on their property with a huge sign. I went to the Bobs in Randolf MA. Want all my money back for being so stupid!

Bob's Discount Furniture bob's furniture is garbage and &goof proof& is a scam!!!

I just moved in to my very first apartment last month and purchased a living room set from Bob's. Of course, I was talked into getting the "Goof Proof Protection Plan". The salesman told us the plan covers "any and all" damage to the furniture. While moving in I had to move my chaise lounge in to another room to make room for more furniture. The leather (fake leather) arms rubbed up against the door frame and the leather rubbed right off!

I called the number on my goof proof brochure, filed my claim, and they said they'd send a guy out. Black Friday the technician comes by, looks at the furniture, takes some pictures of the damage, and calls up his Bob's headquarters. He puts me on the phone with the guy from the headquarters and the guy tells me if I want someone to fix/replace my furniture I have to call goof proof and file a claim. I said, "...I did... that's why this technician is here..." He says, "no that's not a goof proof tech, that's a Bob's tech. We are two different companies and you are going to have to call goof proof and file a claim with them, not us." I said "I DID CALL GOOF PROOF AND FILE A CLAIM! IF I DIDN'T HOW ELSE WOULD THIS MAN BE IN MY HOME LOOKING AT THE FURNITURE?! I CALLED THE NUMBER THAT'S RIGHT ON MY GOOF PROOF BROCHURE!" He said "...well, you might have pressed a wrong button on the goof proof menu options and been transferred to us instead of goof proof."

Basically, he tried to make me doubt my button-pressing-abilities and we went back and forth for a while and the guy on the phone wasn't budging, just kept insisting I call goof proof and file a claim with them. I gave up arguing with him. I called goof proof right away - closed for Black Friday and closed for the weekend. Called the following Monday and they told me since I already called and filed a claim I can't make another one. Wait a minute...what claim? The whole reason I was calling was because Bob's told me I pressed a wrong button and never actually filed a claim with goof proof. The lady on the phone told me I had already filed a claim for "pet damage" and another claim could not be made. WHAT?! I have no pets. I live in a no-pets-allowed condo complex. Are you kidding me?!

Sounds very fishy to me! i think Bob's intercepted my actual claim, sent out their own guy to document the damage, and bought themselves time to invent new ways to deny my actual goof proof claim. AND EVEN IF I HAD FILED FOR PET DAMAGE IT SAYS RIGHT ON THE BROCHURE THAT PET DAMAGE IS COVERED! Such a horrible, horrible scam. I am making sure to let every single person I know that Bob's is a terrible company to do business with and goof proof is the biggest scam ever.
I only wished I would have googled "Bob's goof proof" before I ever decided to do business with them so I could have read the millions of horror stories from all the other poor suckers that have been taken by this fake warranty. Apparently, no matter what you tell the goof proof people, they will find a way that the damage is "not covered" under your warranty. Ridiculous. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GET QUALITY FURNITURE AND AN HONORABLE WARRANTY! AT BOB'S YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND MUCH, MUCH LESS!

Bob's Discount Furniture angry delivery crew

Bob's needs to invent is higher quality delivery people. I had a fine experience inside the store. Got a call 2 days ahead of the delivery of my couch for a delivery window between 11:45 am and 2:45 pm. I was coming back from an appointment I had schedule in advance and pulled up to my apartment 15 minutes before the start of my delivery time frame.

At 11:30 am, I looked at my phone and had a voicemail from Bob's dispatcher harassing me that I wasn't at my apartment at 11:30 am, when they weren't even supposed to be there until 11:45 am or later. When I pulled up, the delivery "men" had my couch sitting on wet grass in the pouring rain because I wasn't there at 11:30 am when my delivery window wasn't to begin until after that.

The drivers removed all of the wrapping from my couch before even bringing it into my apartment building. As a result, they ripped all the corners of the couch and dumped it in my living room and ran out the door before I could notice the extensive damage they did to a brand new couch because they had such bad attitudes that I wasn't at my apartment early. In addition the whole bottom of my couch was soaking wet from sitting in the rain when they could have left it in the truck until the scheduled delivery time was to begin.

I called to report the damage and asked that the delivery fee be refunded, but they said they don't do any kind of monetary compensation and they would deliver a new couch several weeks out. Overall, I don't feel compelled to return to Bob's because their delivery staff just wasted hundreds of dollars on a perfectly good couch because they couldn't wait five minutes for me to receive the delivery at my apartment. Also, I think the inconvenience of this whole experience should entitle me to a discount or at least a refund for the delivery fee which was carried out so inappropriately.

Bob's Discount Furniture delivery of merchandise

Came in to purchase furniture a week before "Thanksgiving that was advertised on a commercial. We paid in cash as to not have a delay in delivery which we inquired about prior to making said purchase . We were assured that we would have furniture delivered that following Monday. Well that Friday we rec'd a call stating they only had the couch available n the love seat was on back order for Dec, 5th. This was unacceptable to me so I demanded my money back and was told I have to wait 10 to 15 business days for a check. I was then transferred to a salesperson "Tracey who assisted me by checking on the sectional in the same coler. She checked the delivery date n assured me that I would be able to get it that Tuesday. So I accepted this verbal transaction that was made between she and I. On Sunday I called to confirm and was given to the original salesperson "Linda who states that my delivery date will be December 5th n that "Tracy misinformed me of the date because the sectional is back order as well. So, now I'm confused so I'm still stuck with no furniture and to top it off, I'm getting the sectional that I only agreed to get because of the delivery date. " Linda states she tried to call me but no answer they have two cell numbers and home phone. YOU CALLED NO ONE! Lets see what happens Dec5th and wether it will be the two piece or the sectional that comes.

Bob's Discount Furniture Didn't get what we picked out and paid for

We went to store and selected a sectional love seat consisting of 2 reclining sections, with a console in the middle. We were told by the salesman the price was $579., and we agreed to purchase and charged on credit card. When delivery came 6 days later, the console was not delivered. After wasting over an hour on the phone, I was told the console was $100 extra, even though I made it clear in the store exactly what we wanted, and what we wanted was exactly the way it was set up in the store.. I didn't even know that it could be purchased without the console. Of course the salesman doesn't remember anything! For a lousy $100, they lost a customer and his friends forever

Bob's Discount Furniture poor quality, misleading warranty, poor service

I purchased a Leather sofa and love seat from Bobs and was talked into purchasing a life time warranty. I was assured by the sales person that it would cover anything and everything. After spending over $1200.00 for the set I had to wait over a month for delivery after I was promised a delivery date of a week from the purchase. I was told there was nothing that they could do that they were waiting for the items to become available themselves. This past year I noticed that the top coat of my so called Leather sofa was peeling off. My husband called the warranty company to report the damage. The following week we were sent a letter that denied our claim. The warranty company didn't even what to see photos or anything. I am so pissed off at this whole dealing with such dishonest companies. I suggest if you are looking for furniture DO NOT SHOP AT BOB'S-they are horrible plain and simple.

Bob's Discount Furniture product/service

The actual furniture itself was very nice and reasonably priced. The in store sales were uncomfortably aggressive to the point that I almost just walked out.

The delivery was an absolute nightmare. First, I had to wait over two weeks for the date. Once delivery date came around, the delivery crew showed up half an hour before the delivery window, called and didn't receive an immediate response and abruptly left.

I called Customer Service and was told the crew would return. I saw the truck pull in and came outside. As I walked towards the parked driver and motioned over (as the only person in the parking lot), the driver pulled away and left.

I called Customer Service yet again and was given a shoulder shrug response with no answers as to when my furniture would be delivered. I am wondering right now if and when the furniture will show up.

If they could transfer the eagerness from the sales staff to customer service, the result would be bliss.

Bob's Discount Furniture misleading warranty

In May of 2011, we purchased a queen sleeper sofa and at the same time, purchased the Goof Proof plan. We were given an informational sheet that has an overview of the warranty, which briefly described what would be covered in case of damage.

About two weeks ago, we noticed that the mesh part of the sleeper frame was separating from the springs which hold it to metal part of the frame. This mesh fabric is the part of the frame that supports the sleeper's mattress. I called Bob's Furniture at that time and scheduled a time for a technician to come assess the damage.

The technician arrived, took pictures of the damage, and called in a claim for the damage. At that time, I was put on the phone and transferred to Guardian Protection Products. After being on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, I was told that the Goof Proof plan does not cover our type of damage, even though the warranty overview clearly states that "Breakage of frames, springs, sleeper, reclining heating & vibrating mechanisms" is part of the protection plan.

I then called a Bob's Furniture representative, who was surprised that the claim was denied, and transferred me once again to Guardian. For a second time, I was on hold for quite a while and finally spoke to a woman who claimed that they have literature which states that the this type of damage is not covered. When purchasing the Goof Proof plan, we never received this "fine print". I asked to speak to a manager, and she informed me that they do not transfer calls to management. I requested to receive a refund for the Goof Proof plan, at which time she stated that I must speak to a Bob's Furniture representative.

Once again, I called Bob's Furniture and this time notified the representative that I would like a refund for the Goof Proof plan, as it is misleading. Instead of taking care of the problem, she once again transferred me to Guardian at which time I hung up the phone.

To make a long story short, I've now been dealing with this issue for four hours and am very displeased by the Goof Proof plan as well as the lack of communication between Bob's Furniture and Guardian. I'm not asking for a new couch...just a repair of the couch that we have as we rely on this piece of furniture when we have visitors in our home.

DO NOT buy from Bob's and if you do, don't expect quality and don't waste your money on their shady waranty!

same similar expierence with bobs. Guardian hung up on me numerous times and also went to the extent of making a false claim to bob's that i denied a technitian to come out becuause i lived alone and i was uncomfortable with having someone come out to look at my couch! I will be reporting them to the BBC .. DO NOT BUY FROM BOB'S!

Found out the same thing. I was LIED to by their sales staff stating that both my living room and bedroom would be covered. Now they say because they BOB's did the paperwork wrong it is not covered. Bob listen up! You make nice commercials and have pretty good furniture, but you have lousy customer service and your GOOF PROOF is only good if you don't have to use it. You should really call your customers, look on your site instead of enjoying your millions while your customers waste our time talking to your staff that has no ability to do anything.

Bob's Discount Furniture damaged furniture

i have constantly encountered problems with this company delivering damaged furniture. the first item i ordered was a bed from their E-Pit, and it took them 4 delivery attempts to deliver the bed in the appropriate new condition. The first time they delievered it the headboard was scuffed and scratched, the 2nd time the footboard. the third time it was again the footboard that had the finish off in several places, finally 5 weeks later they were able to deliver me a bed in good condition, and i say good even though there was still some finish off on the inside of the footboard but i just let it go. And bobs didint even bother to refund me the delivery fee, as if i paid to get it delivered 5 weeks later.

then comes the tax free weekend and i decide to give them one more shot, because their furniture is on the unexpensive end. So i order the quantum II for 2, 500 and two pieces from the sterling bedroom set, a dresser and mirror and a chest. This was the most expensive sectional in their store and one of the most expensive bedroom sets. i made the transaction in the Boobs Stoughton store and David, the manager of the store assured me that i will never go through what i went with the bed again. So the delivery was scheduled for the 18th of august and they guys arrive and bring the dresser up and there;s a quarter size spot of unfinished wood spot and several scratches on the top of the dresser, and the sectional had a 2 in by 2 in scuffed leather on the top corner of the wedge and scuffed leather on the bottoms of two recliners. I asked them to take it back obviously.

Comes the 2nd attempt at delivery on august 21st, and the guys deliver the furniture again. This time the damage to the items wasa even worse. The console divider with the cup holders, had multiple scratches on the silver of the cupholders, it had what apperes to be some type of either silver nail polish or silver permanent marker on the chaise and on the back of the wedge there was an actual dime sizewd hole at the very bottom. The chest that they unpacked, had the bottom drawer slightly crooked and it would not close completely. the dresser also had markings on the top edge as if someone with a sharp belt buckle kept leaning against it over a prolonged period of time while looking in the mirror. Some people would know what i am talking aboput, the markings that are made by such items right on the edge. the items hardly seemed new.

I had to send the items back again, and i was very upset. I felt like this was personally happenening to me. I couldnt imagine that such things were happening to people all over. The movers when they were leaving informed me that someone from customer service would contact me regarding rescheduling delivery, but noone did. i waited until 7 pm, and then i received a call from bobs furniture but instead of asking me for when i would like to reschedule i was asked how satisfied was i with the delivery that was made to me, as if the furniture was in my house.

This upset me very much because i spend a great amount of money and i wouldnt get another chance at tax free until next year s i call the store and ask to speak to David the manager from the stoughton store who originally guaranteed me that everything would be great and after i tell him my story he has the audacity to suggest that 'well it sounds to me like we might not be able to satisfy you, but we can always refund you your money". That is what the manager has the nerve to say to me. As if asking for furniture to be delivered without damage when i pay for furniture in new condition is me acting hard to satisfy. i would think that would me asking for what i paid for and what i deserve. And then David says that he can not reschedule my delivery until the 28th august, and That "your situation does not warrant special delivery accomodation for anytime earlier'. My situation may i remind, is that this would be the 3rd delivery attempt and i should have had my furniture on the 18th august. Then i tell david that i have pictures of the type of damaged furniture they try to pass as new on their clients, as i like to document everything and i would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, and all of a sudden he says a delivery spot opens up on the 25th august, on saturday, so that he says i would have to worry about taking time off work. How considerate i say it is of david to hold out on the delivery date until threatened with a report on their store to Better Business Bureau. And ofcourse noone offered to refund me for delivery, over $200 paid for sitting on the floor in my living room to watch tv for 2 weeks.

I am very dissapointed and upset with this store, i wish i enver gave them a 2nd chance, and i regret ever putting in a 2nd order with them. i guessd you really do get what you pay for. i just want to get my furniture, get it over with and i will certainly never ever order anything with this company again.

Bob's Discount Furniture worst customer service/furniture/drivers

I have had the worst experience with purchasing a dining room set from Bobs Furniture store in West Springfield, Ma. My husband and I were excited to purchase a new dining room set so it was between Raymour and Flannigan or Bobs. We choose Bobs because it was exactly the color we were looking for and it was a 7 piece set. So we went on a Saturday afternoon and sat down with the sales rep, which was not too friendly. Then she proceeded to go over the delivery process, which is unbelievable, for some reason they seem to think that people don’t have 9-5pm jobs and just have time to sit and wait for a delivery truck. I did explain to the rep that we both work and we would need to know when to leave work to sit home and wait because the only person that would be home is my elderly mother and I would not feel comfortable with having the drivers there alone with her. She then said to me "well, they have on a full uniform on and there is a big Bob’s sign on the truck with his face on it, so she should be fine." I then said to her, I don’t think you clearly understand what I am trying to tell you. I just don’t feel comfortable with that. So she proceeded to go find another sales rep, his name was Luis and we explained our situation and he said that they would give a three hour window and we could also give a one hour call ahead as well. My husband and I were ok with that and so we then purchased our dining room set. Luis said the delivery date would be that next Wednesday and we would get a call on Monday to find out the window times. So Monday came and went without a call. I then checked the Delivery Tracker on Monday night and it said they would be there Wednesday morning between 9:36am-12:36pm. I received a phone call at work about 8:30am stating they would be there in 5mins. So I said to the driver, I was told I would receive a one hour call ahead, not 5mins. He said well we had a cancellation so were on our way. I said ok fine, I will let my mother know you’re on your way. My son did not have to be at work until 11:30am so I was ok that someone was there with my mother. The delivery truck came and my mother was a little confused because the drivers pulled up in a white truck, without Bobs face on the front, and the drivers had on a wrinkled Bob’s tee-shirt and looked like they just rolled out of bed, very unprofessional. When they began to set up the table and chairs one of the chair legs was completely broke in half. My mother then over heard one of the drivers say to the other driver I can go see if there is glue in the truck. My mother yelled at them and said you will NOT glue my daughters chair back together when no one has even used it yet. Then they tried to put the table together with the leaf and the table was broken and the leaf would not fit. By this time my mother called me at work and said I really think you should come home your table is not correct. Needless to say, I had to leave my job and run home to see what was going on. When I arrived I asked the driver who was he because he looked like a person living on the streets, clothes wrinkled, hair not combed a mess. Just think, the woman sales rep wanted my mother to be alone with what I saw...absolutely not! Thank God my son was home. After speaking to Samuel he told me a technician could come out to fix the damaged chair and table. I called customer service and told them I do NOT want a technician to come out when I purchased this set brand new, not from the Good Will and it has to be fixed! I want a new table and a brand new chair. They said ok, we can’t get anyone to come out until Saturday. I said that’s fine but it better be before 11am because we are going out of town that day. Susan, the customer service rep said she would put it in the notes to please have it delivered before that time. After the conversation with customer service rep Samuel, the driver, asked Susan should he leave the table and chair or leave it for the next drivers to pick up she said to leave the table and take the broken chair. So he did exactly that. My husband and I waited to receive a phone call on Thursday to see what time they would be out to deliver the new furniture for Saturday and of course we received a call on Friday evening stating they would be there between 8:30am-11:30am. I received a phone call at 7:30am stating they were outside my home. I got up and went to the front door, no Bob’s truck. I waited a few minutes more and then call the cell phone number that they called me from and said where are you, i'm standing outside my home. Santos, the driver, then said were in your home now. At this point i am furious! I yelled through the phone what street are you on because it is not mine. Needless to say they were down the street at an apartment building giving my new dining room table set away. They then said "OOOhh...Ok...Ok!" were on our way. They finally pulled around the corner with an orange Penske truck which this is the second time they showed up without the Bobs face across the front like the sales person had told me. And of course, they were NOT in uniforms. Santos had on jean shorts and a white tank top on, no Bob’s shirt at all. The other driver complained the whole time about how he was ready to go and that they needed to hurry up. Once they put the table together, I noticed nicks in the table and they brought a wobbly chair that was clearly unstable to sit in. He then asked for the broken chair that the other driver had already taken back on the last visit. We told him Susan from customer service told them to take it. So my husband called customer service and the gentlemen told my husband that they would not give us a new chair until we provided the broken one. My husband was furious he called ANOTHER customer service rep AGAIN and spoke to a woman name Christine who listen to the situation and said ok we will send out a new table again and a brand new chair. So that following Tuesday morning around 6:10am I had 3 missed calls. I called the number back when I woke up at 7am and it was the drivers. He said we already came to your house. I said well the Delivery Tracker said 7:40am not 6am! He said ok, we will be back in 30mins. 30 mins turned into 10mins later. They pulled with a yellow truck, no Bob’s logo and brought everything inside. The only thing I can say is these last drivers Brian and Elijah, even though Elijah had on a I Hate Yankees tee-shirt, they knew how to put the table together and make sure all the chairs were not wobbly. All I can say is thank you to these two drivers because the last four were just awful. Therefore, I would not recommend ANYONE to Bobs, ever. They have the worst customer service reps and drivers that I have ever had to deal with in my life. Nothing was heart felt, no concern, no emotion no nothing. Especially when they accused my husband and I of stealing a broke chair that we could not do anything with and did not offer any compensation to the entire situation, especially with me missing work two out of the three days of delivery. Next time I want to buy quality furniture and have excellent customer service I will make sure I will stick to what I know...Raymour and Flanigan.

Bob's Discount Furniture bob-o-pedic mattress

Bought a Bob-O-Pedic Mattress less than 2 years ago for about $1400 as they say it is better than tempur-pedic at half the price. The mattress is ok, the cover on the mattress that has Bob-O-Pedic all over it shifts, that is the problem. Sheets do not stay on it, every morning sheets are crumpled under my body and the wife has to remake the bed from top to bottom on a daily basis. Numerous calls to Bob's customer service have been made, servicemen have been to my house 3 or 4 times, they call, customer service says it isn't Bob's problem. We have tried to change the mattress, even offering to pay for the swap to no avail. Customer service has told me to stand the mattress against a wall and pull the covering down and put it back on the bed, nice idea if i was 20 something again, but being two senior citizens I find it ludicris to even ask me to do that. Have looked around online and found over 1250 complaints with the BBB, numerous complaints here and many more at other websites. To me the mattress is a dead issue, I will not get any satisfaction from Bob's. My only recourse is to let people know that I think Bob's Furniture is a waste of time and money and tell everyone I know not to buy from them. Maybe if all those who have complaints banded together we could hurt them in their pocket. Me alone is just a meaningless blurb on the internet to Bob's and they can say so we lost a customer that spent $5, 000 over a 5 year period here, no big deal, there are thousands of other suckers who will never read this that will come to our stores.

If anyone know of a Bob's Boycott, let me know, I want to join. For now I can only send out a few hundred emails to friends and family and ask them to do the same. Now it's not the money, it's the principal. They Got me once, Now I want to get even.

How did you believe that a 'Bob O' Pedic was going to be better than a tempur-pedic when it is half price and their companies logo is a gimicky ###? I think you are at fault here.

Bob's Discount Furniture not honoring contract

After my purchase of a complete bedroom set and the purchase of their "goof proof" protection I was completely shafted. A foot off of my highboy broke when I moved it to clean. I called in the incident to bob's and they told me I had to call the goof proof company. The company made me take pictures of the furniture fill out a couple of forms then informed me it would take 10 days to process before they could fix my furniture. I called the company and told them that I was leaving town for three weeks and wouldn't be here when they called to set up a service call. I was told that wouldn't be a problem to contact them when I returned. I just contacted them and they said the would not fix my furniture because the allotted time for service had passed. I REFUSE and strongly encourage all to REFUSE to do business with BOB'S FURNITURE. He advertises complete customer satisfaction but it is a bunch of BULL. I am left with a broken piece of furniture and I am out the money I paid for his "Goof Proof Protection Plan". FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND SALES PITCHES

Bob's Discount Furniture theft

I call this my Bobs disount Furniturwe nightmare. i had ordered a bedroom set from Bobs Discount Furnitue store in Farmingdale LI, NY back in January 2012. After i placed my order i was told that there woud be about a 10 to 14 week wait before i would receive my furniture because it was on back order. I was a little disturbed by this but was willing to wait as i really had liked the bedroom set. Finally they deliver my furniture during the month of March 2012. The delivery person showed up to my address with the furniture but Bobs customer service forgot to call me and let me know they were coming. So when the delivery was made i was at work which is about 25 miles from my home. The delivery person called me to notify me he was there and was apologetic and he also informed me that my order was also incomplete. It was missing a headboard and 1 whole dresser. Needless to say now i am more upset with Bobs Discount Furniture. We (my better half and i) looked for furniture at other locations but could not find the same type of furniture for a similar price, so she convinces me to re order the furniture. Now this must be a popular item for Bobs because once again i have to wait ten weeks before it can be delivered. The furniture was scheduled to be delivered on a sataurday between the hours of 1 and 2pm. i had business early that day but would be back before they arrived so i set out to take care of what i had to take care of at 8 am. I receive a call at about 11:30am and its the delivery person for Bobs telling me he is at my address and waiting. I stop what i am doing and run back home. The furniture is out of the truck and half of it is already in front of my apartment door. I let the delivery people in to the apartment to set up my furniture. Now being they arrived so early i did not have a chance to move everything or secure al of my valuables. I was so excited to recieve the furniture after a 5 month wait. They finished setting up the furniture and one of the workers called to me to sign a receipt. He seemed to be in quite a hurry so i reached into my pocket to give hime a tip. He ignored me and walked right out the door. I found that odd but put it off. maybe they had a lot more work to do. I left my apartment to go finish what i had already started and returned home in the early evening. We my better half and i were going to a function that evening so i got dressed and went to go get my jewelery and watch to put on. I looked at where i had left them and they were gone. I put two and two together and realized that i had been ripped off by Bobs delivery workers. I reported this to the police and contacted Bobs to let them know of my displeasure over the situation and to have them come and take their furniture back. The custoner service rep for Bobs was very apologetic and refered me t there loss prevention department. I spoke with a Mr. Klein at loss prevention who said that he would investigate the matter and get back to me. I have yet to get anytype of response from Bobs to this date and have also contacted the credit divison for Bobs (Well fargo Bank) which is another nightmare. All in all i have been robbed of a gold braclet and watch whcih are appraised at $1400 and $5000 respectively. Now i have tried to contact Bobs to return the furniture and have disputed the charges for the furniture due to my loss. Bobs Discount furniture has taken no responsibility for the lack of character for there delivery people employyees or contarctor i dont know. Wells Fargo has paid Bobs for the furniture so there attitude is to bad for you pay me and i am out almost $10, 000 for furniture that only cost $1500. Would i reccommend any of these companys to anyone in the future. You decide

Bob's Discount Furniture poor quality, misleading sale and terrible customer service

My wife and I purchased a bedroom set, and living room set from bobs furniture in feb 2011. After just a little over one year the sofa and love seat looks terrible and is so uncomfortable to sit on the cushions sag in back and the seat cushions have excess slack in the material, after bein told by the store when we purchased it it our not happen and if it did we would be covered by there goof Proof protection plan that we purchased for an additional cost. After three visits from good proof and countless calls to bobs corporate they say there is nothing they can do and tell us we need to buy new covers for the furniture.. It's terrible service and awful quality aswell.. We are disgusted about the experience and turn away all of our relatives and friends whenever we hear they are thinking about making a purchase there..

Bob's Discount Furniture poor customer service

Very poor customer service. After waiting 14 weeks for a special order lving room set, I recieved a phone call that the furniture arrived and a delivery needed to be scheduled. I called Bob's and they proceeded to tell me that it was going to be another 4-5 weeks! During the past 4 weeks, I have made several calls to inquire about the order and each time they stated a sales rep would call back. Guess what, no call! We have been without furniture for several months and it is getting absolutely ridiculous now. All this and we still haven't received our furntiure yet. My assumption is that we will be even unhappier when it does arrive due to the bad taste we have up to this point. I could have special ordered a new vehicle in the amount of time it is taking for a simple couch. (5 months) DO NOT BUY FROM BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE!
