Bob's Furniture has the cheapest furniture it falls apart, the products are mostly all Defected products. NEVER AGAIN! I will never recommend this store. I have been waiting 3 months for new furniture since they send damage items. Customer service the worst they just put u on hold then hang up on you. Bob's Discount Furniture couch

I BOUGHT A COUCH SET AND CHAIR, GOT THE GOOFPROOF AND THE COUCH WAS DAMAGED JUST STARTED RIPPING ALL OVER, SO THEY BROUGHT A NEW ONE .6MONTHS LATER IT IS STARTING TO DO IT AGAIN, WOW, GOOFPROOF DOESN'T COVER IT TWICE, DID THEY EVER TELL YOU THAT, NEVER TOLD OR EXPLAINED TO ME ..SO THEY TELL ME THAT U CAN'T GET REPLACEMENTS FOR THE FURNITURE OR PARTs!so they send someone out to look at the couch, 3weeks later, i finally call them, now they suddenly have the parts and i have to pay for them wtf is that about ...

Bob's Discount Furniture junky furniture

In February, my husband and I picked out a bedroom set complete with lamps from Bob's. We explained to the salesman that we wouldnt be able to accept delivery until early March because we had a lot of work to do to the room. He made us feel comfortable and told us, no problem, there are plenty of sets in the warehouse. Well, when March came, I called to have the furniture delivered and was told that the set was on backorder until mid-April and the lamps were no longer available. We had no bed to sleep on and so we picked our second choice bedroom set instead. The delivery came about a week later with half of the 8 pieces broken. I sent 4 pieces back and a new delivery date was set. The next time the furniture came, 3 pieces were still broken. I am now awaiting delivery number 3 and still have no bed. It will not surprise me if the 3 pieces that come tomorrow are all broken. When you call customer service, they are very friendly and apologetic, but that doesnt help you get your complete bedroom set. Basically, Bob's furniture is cheaply made and I am sorry I ever started with them. Other companies dont make you pay in full before you receive your furniture. I am sure Bob's will eventually go out of business and I hope I stopped at least one person from buying anything from them.

Bob's Discount Furniture service

I am a recent customer that have purchased a bedroom set from bobs discount furniture in nashua nh. I was shedule for the first week of march for my furniture to be deliverd to our home.we got a call the we are shedule to receive out furnitute on march 5th 2011 between 12p and 3p...we never received our furniture I called the explanation they had for me was when they cancelled feb 19th order they did not cancel all that way. In witch it does not make any sence because I never schedule anything for feb 19th. So therefor they reshedule me for march 10th as an emergency delivery. I go to check my tracking on bobs website and nothing comes up, I call the store they tell me there is nothing shedule for march 10th. They for the 4rth time they have rechedule me for the following week but that I will only be getting half my furniture and on march 31st I will receive the rest. This is not what I payed for . I am very upset with bobs service. This will be the last time I will be purchasing and kind of furniture from bobs store. I have cleared the bedroom 3times because they have said I will be receiving my furntiture as schedule, I have my 3 month old daugther sleeping in her car seat cuz I been unable to set up her crib to keep the bedroom clear. This store needs to step it up and do there job right because they are loosing a lot of customer and they just lost one. I have nothing good to say about there service.

Bob's Discount Furniture delivery is a joke

I went to Bobs Discount Furniture in Worcester, MA and purchased a Living room set and dining room set. The delivery was scheduled and I was informed that a courtesy call would be made the day before the delivery..I NEVER got such a call from them & when I tracked my delivery online it stated they would be at my house between 10A and 1P. They came at 830A & I had taken my son to school so I missed them and when I called to reschedule a VERY rude customer service person told me I had to wait for a whole week before I could get my furniture! I waited for a whole week and they didnt show up on scheduled day! When I called another very rude & very bored sounding representative stated that they did not have my delivery schedule on file! :upset I'm livid & I dont have any furniture in my home as I sold my old furniture! It's been 2 weeks of ***, sitting & eating on the floor!I HATE Bobs Furniture & I will NEVER shop there EVER! I dont know what to do...I paid them cash and they now tell me it will take about 2 weeks to get a refund! I'm going CRAZY!

I would get the refund and tell them to stick it, ask for the corporate number and talk with them if the store has that many problems.

Bob's Discount Furniture defective

My husband and I furnished three entire rooms with Bob's in Stoughton, Mass., spending about $8, 000. At that time we also purchased one of Bob's inner spring mattresses, which after only a couple of years was collapsing. Bob's was great with coming out and verifying our problem and giving us a "store credit" for the full mattress cost of $600. So, in Jan 2010 we purchased an upgraded inner spring, the Black Label Euro Top, and now just over a year later the mattress is collapsing the same way, and my husband and I are small to average size. In May 2010, we relocated to Arizona where there are no Bob's stores, and when I called Bob's to advise them of this defect, they said they can't do anything because of "logistics"! So it does not matter to Bob's that this is the second faulty mattress they have sold us, because we live across the country, and have another faulty $900 mattress, we are out of luck! Their wonderful customer service was kind enough to say there's nothing they can do, and to contact the Blue Bell Mattress Company, which I might add they had NO information on! I am now advising all my family and friends that still live in New England to Boycott Bob's, if this is how they treat long time customers, with one of their known faulty products, then I want to save others the heartache that this has caused us. I have a bulging disk and sciatica and can no longer sleep on my own bed, and all Bob's can say is "sorry", well that's not good enough. I hope the $900 their refusing to return is worth it because I am going to make it my personal goal to make them lose as much business as possible!

You are ###ING ridiculous! You want them to send you a mattress across the entire country? Do you have any idea how much that costs? It's not their problem that you moved- if you want your mattress then go back and pick it up! What if you moved to another country, would you expect the same? They're a regional furniture company, not national or global! Thank god you're out of this state, one less idiot to have to deal with now!

We are having the same problem with the black lable euro however, only after 3 months... We live in portsmouth. Because the mattress protector they sold us failed and let a coffee stain through, they made us go through the protector company for mattress warantie. WEAK

Bob's Discount Furniture sells items they don't currently have without informing consumer

Purchased couch, chair, ottoman and antique cabinet on 1/16/11. Paid in full at time of purchase because salesman did not tell me they only require 20% deposit and balance 5 days prior to delivery. Was not informed cabinet was "special order". In fact, I was told at time of purchase all items were in stock and could be delivered in 1-2 weeks. Scheduled delivery for end of January at time of purchase. Received automated call night prior to delivery confirming but asked to call to confirm someone would be home. Made several attempts but kept on hold for more than 1/2 hour each time by automated system. Finally got through to store only to find out that it would be a partial delivery. They claimed the cabinet was damaged in transit. They asked if I wanted the partial delivery or to wait for full shipment in February. I opted for February and was given a delivery date of 2/24/11. The partial delivery showed up anyway which I explained to the delivery men that it had been rescheduled and they left with no problem. I called the store and they told me they cancelled the delivery and didn't know why it had come. They again confirmed the 2/24/11 delivery but no call received on 2/23 as promised to confirm a time so I again called the store only to be told that the item was again damaged in transit. Would not have another for at least a month. I told them this was unacceptable and wanted to speak with a manager. I was told it was his day off. I insisted I speak with someone in charge. They told me call back tomorrow. I again insisted and was told I would speak with another manager. Hmm, I was conveniently disconnected while on hold. I called back and was put on hold to be transferred. The manager had a bad attitude from the start. Made no headway. Finally agreed to call me with more information the next day. The next day was a repeat of information from the day before. No delivery would be made. He hung up on me. I called the store and asked for his boss. They wouldn't tell me who that was only that he was on his day off. I asked for that person's boss was told they didn't know who that was. I asked for the name of the Regional Manager and they refused instead asking me what it was in regard to. I said I wanted to file a complaint. I insisted on the Regional Manager's name. Same runaround. I finally got his name but was told he wasn't in that office. I called corporate and was given yet another voicemail. Left a message but did not return my call. Called corporate again and told I couldn't reach anyone. I was offered to be connected with "Bob's secretary" and said she would take care of it. I again got voicemail. I left two messages with no return calls. Tried to call the salesman who was supposed to be tracking my order but was told it was his day off. Spoke again with the first manager who now tells me the item wasn't damaged this second time but that the factory hasn't been able to fill the order and they are still trying to fill orders from November, 2010. I suggested they not sell anymore of this cabinet until the factory can catch up but he poo pooed me. I asked that they give me the showroom cabinet until they can supply a new one. He said "that's not gonna happen". They knowingly sell items they can't deliver in a timely fashion. Because the store requires you to clear the room prior to delivery I had all my furniture removed by a junk dealer and have had no furniture since the first delivery date. Now it will be another 4-6 weeks! They don't care. Told me I should have taken the couch and chair. However, if I did that I have a feeling I would never receive the cabinet and since it was the cabinet that I built the room around I wouldn't want the rest of the furniture since one is brown and the other red and the cabinet is the only thing tying it together. Try returning the couch and chair when they tell me the cabinet has been discontinued! Have not received a new delivery date for March but doubt it will be available even then. Checked with Better Business Bureau. They have a rating of F. Lowest you can get! All websites I found have similar experiences. Shouldn't be allowed the fraudulent practice of selling items and taking payment when they can't meet their contractual obligations with the consumer. Obviously have worked out an automated system to protect them from all the complaints.

Bob's Discount Furniture ignorance/miscommunication

I ordered a dresser for my mother to be delivered to a nursing home. I specifically stated to please have the gentlemen delivering the furniture to call me so that I would be there. I live 3 miles away. They delivered the furniture without specifically calling me, and on the slip it had my mother's name, not the nursing home. Which I specifically requested also. The salesman was on something, because, as I was explaining, he was just doing his own thing. He was downright ignorant. Won't be shopping at Bob's again.

Bob's Discount Furniture POOR QUALITY FURNITURE

I am posting this complaint after viewing numerous complaint's about my suspecting that the furniture was possibly of poor quality, when recently noticed the canopy attachments have become lose without being able to be tightened; noticed that the poles simply come right up and the internal wooden hole have no "ridges to come together to tighten" the poles which are causing them to just sit in without being screwed. I never did an inspection of the furniture, but instantly noticed after delivery "paint scraped off" on the mirror dresser.

I WILL BE CONTACTING THE STORE IF GOD PERMITTING TOMORROW AND FOLLOWING UP ON THE POSSIBLE OPTION OF REPLACEMENT NOT KNOWING IF WARRANTY WAS PURCHASED, IT WAS A GIFT.

I AM DEFINITELY NOT TRUSTING ANY SUPPOSE ALLEGATIONS OF THE FURNITURE BEING NEGLECTED WITH ALL THE POSTING OF DAMAGED FURNITURE BEING DELIVERED AS NEW, BESIDES THE FURNITURE WAS JUST DELIVERED ON: DECEMBER 23, 2010.
JUST ABOUT (2) MONTHS OLD.

Bob's Discount Furniture poor quality

Bought leather couch set, POOR Quality. It was wearing within weeks. Had 3 warranty issues...within 1 year (right outside of warranty window) rips EVERYWHERE. It's embarrassing to cover 1 year old couch set.Leather has continued to crack/wear EVERYWHERE. 3 years later and most of the couch is covered in wholes.

It is the most brittle/poor quality leather I have ever seen in my life.

Once it wears out, there is a hole, once there is a hole...it splits and splits even more.

All within 3 years? I would rather have vinyl! no joke

Never will I walk into that store again

The wife and I moved from a three bedroom townhouse to a large home and needed to fill some space with furniture. We went to a brand new store in Salem, NH, called Bobs Furniture. Their second store opened days before and we heard good things. This was 2001. What a mistake!

We didn't know much about furniture. We end up spending several thousand dollars for junk, basically cord wood. After a year, everything was broken except for a sleeper couch, which wouldn't pull out anymore and lasted only six months longer. We wasted so much money on the cheap furniture. They ended up coming out to our home three times to fix things that kept on breaking.

Since then, we shop at Jordans, which is the anti-Bob. Nothing but quality from Jordans and Bernie/Phyls. The Jordans staff makes fun of Bobs, stating that they do indeed sell cord wood. You DO get what you pay for. If you are desperate, go to Bobs. If you want quality that lasts years, go elsewhere. Nothing but cheap junk is sold by Bobs. You can tell by their ad campaigns by what type of seller they are attracting. Don't make the mistake and go there. Buy quality or you will be sorry immediately.

My daughter was moving into her first apartment and went to Bob's Discount Funriture and found 3 rooms of furniture to purchase. (bedroom living room and dinning room selections) I was happy to purchase these to help her start a life in the new apartment. this was MArch 2010, Yesterday I spoke with the customer service representative for the first time and found her response not only cold, scripted, and unfriendly but patronizing and bordering on aggresive. My daughter has spent the months sice the purchase (which was paid in full upon ordering the items)taking hours off from her job to have delivery times changed/cancelled, furniture unavailable on back order, delivered damaged, delivered and not assembled correctly, and then repaired with a marker and glue stick. She was asked to contiue to return the most recent pieces of damaged furniture and take yet more time off to wait for delivery. Finally in July she was asked to settle for $550 settlement for compensation on over $4500 worth of furniture and all her time plus keeping the damaged pieces. She is a smart independent girl but not seasoned in the ways of corporate manipulation and was intimidated into accepting the deal but would need my Credit card number for the refund. I ask for written verification of this agreement and she and myself were refused. I was also refused to be given the name and/or contact information of the CS reps supervisor or corporate address. She did agree to give me her last name which I will respectfully withhold from this entry.

Anyone interested in starting action against this company and their corporate policies regarding customer service and their products quality please respond with suggestions. I live in the grater Boston area and know that local sports teams are used to advertise Bob's Furniture stores. I would them to be aware of the true nature of the company they are linked.

Bob's Discount Furniture sofa and love seat, box spring

Bought "leather blend" sofa and love seat that was delivered 11/25/09...Six month later top layer of fabric started to peel off..monitored fabric, just got worse. Called Bob's in Niantic, Ct in 11/10 to have it replaced..Instructed me to call Guardsman because I have the "goof proof"...they told me it was a warranty issue...by this time in December, warrenty was not in place. Customer Care would not help me, sent two technicans to my home and INSISTED it was damage from a animal...could not answer why it was only peeling off in some areas and not others. If I truly had an "animal", the furniture would be breaking apart every where, not just in certain areas. I have no animals or small children. The furniture was not in the sun. This technician Nick came to my home on 2/2 and started yelling at me that I have an animal somewhere in my home, proceeded to look around my home, their was no animal...I asked him "what am I to do now"?...stated "call Better Business Bureau". According to Stephanie, supervisor at Bob's Customer Care, I have no recourse. Payed the extra three hundred dollars for "goof proof" because I was told that if I had a problem with the furniture, it would be addressed. I know that Bob's has very "sub-standared" quality of furniture, that is why I purchased the "goof proof".. Paid over five thousnad dollars in purchased furniture at Bobs...My son's furniture is falling apart, the box spring to his queen sized bed as been replaced once and still is ripping on the bottom.. He now sleeps in the guest room until I can afford to buy him a decent mattress set.

I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen, my furniture is deteroirating, my son no longer has his own bed and I have cryed, begged, and yelled at people out of frustration...

Can anyone please give me any idea of what to do next...?

Same story they refuse to fix damage to leater after kids party, Bob's Furniture who I bought the guardsman Elite (goof proof) policy from said that Guardsman should replace the leather panels under the policy. They are abusive, stalling, unhelpful I sent them pictures three times of the damage which they say they never recieved, they refused to send someone to look at the damage, and denied my claim after some heated conversation with a female Guardsman supervisor. Reason not cut through or torn so it was not covered.. I look foward to a Class Action Law suit to stop this abuse. Phil Gerety claim #[protected]

Bob's Discount Furniture bad service bad goof proof protection

My leather reliner head rest is disintergrating. Bob's Goof Proof policy does not cover "normal wear and tear". The Mgfr doesnt make the recliner anymnore, but they can sell me a new head rest for $250 and I have to get it intsallled. Now the reclining mechanism need to be replaced. the repair man told me they will call the next day. A week later my wife called them and they said they didnt process the paperwork and the part will take 4 weeks.

BOB'S *** BIG TIME. Dont be fooled by pricing.

I will Never recommend or buy from Bob's ever again!

Bob's Discount Furniture my bedroom set

On December 2010 went to Bob's and I'm talking at the very beginning of that month, in the store I make the decision to buy me a bedroom set, but I didn't knew was the headaches I would have for that decision. Just after I pay 2, 281.00 for my bedroom set they told me that they didn't have it on stock and the next delivery for that would be quick in January 2011 a month after I bought it they bring it all damage we in February and so far I still dont have my bedroom set and if true is all I have say here more true is that BOBS FURNITURE LOST ANOTHER CLIENT. that people is rude and the worst to deal with...

Bob's Discount Furniture they charge $45 for delivery

I had purchased a couch and entertainment center from Bobs in New Bedford, Mass...well I WILL NEVER again do business with this place they hire "delivery people" who cant deliver a package of tomatoes never mind furniture...they were rushing because they had so many deliveries and couldnt be bothered to get the couch upstairs they said it was too big...bull crap...got my money back for both items over 1k and they lost not 1 but 6 customers as I am spreading the word...and they have cheap stuff as well dont fall for there BOB O PEDIC is crap spend the extra for good furniture the manager there is an ***

Bob's Discount Furniture stay away

My mistake to sign a paper, even though i wrote next to the signature, that the bed had some parts missing. i was told by the delivery people not to worry about, that someone will comeback with the missing parts and assemble the bed. i am still waiting and since i do not want to mess up my credit i am paying for something i have not used for the last 5 months. i went to the store at flushing queens ny and the manager promised me heaven and earth. i never heard again form the store. i have waisted my time calling over and over, left messages in recordings. acouple of times someone picked up and gave a run around speech, but i am still with the unassembled bed occupying space in the middle of my L R. i am considering suing the store, but working, bu i havent got the time. I will NEVER BUY AGAIN AT THAT STORE. I AM PISSED OFF. . at least thanks for REDING MY FRUSTRATION even if this writing doES not solve my problem.

I bought a mattress at Bob’s Discount Furniture. I received the delivery made the bed and went to sleep; I woke up with bite marks all over me, and thought it was the sheets so I used a new set that was washed that day. The same thing woke up during the night, itching and a rash.

I turned over the mattress, many friends, including a former employee of Bob’s said they place they store their mattress is known to attract bed bugs/mites. I flipped over the mattress and made a 12” slit, what I saw made me gag, dead bugs. I showed them a jar of bugs I retrieved from the mattress and they told me it was staged and refused to take back the mattress because I slit it open. I finally got them to take it back, only after I called the MA AG’s office. Then they only wanted to replace it…..no way, give me my money back, they did. They don’t call it Bob’s Discount Furniture for nothing. I went to Jordan’s, bought a better mattress for less and NO bed bugs or mites.

I feel cheated that I spent over $6000 at Bob's Furniture. I recently got married this past year and my husband and I purchased 2 bedroom sets, dinette and a dining room set about 8 months ago. The quality of my furniture is absolutely horrible, not only is my living room set falling apart (cushion sinking, very bad structure), my bedroom chest drawers broke, and my bed is practically falling apart. I called Bob's customer service a few times and they have been giving me the run around. I must have spoken to at least 3 customer service representatives. I will never ever shop at Bob's and I will tell everyone about my experience. Folks spend a little more money and get decent furniture, not cheap crap from Bob's. I can honestly say that I had better quality furniture in my college dorm back in the day...

Bob's Discount Furniture guardsman furniture guaranty

I have written to both of you and called to try to have a pane oon glass on the coffee table that came with my living room set on in voice 05140337FSVVA dated 05/14/10.
Guardsman policy states imfatically that it covers breakage of any surface. specifically stating, "any chip or breakage".
I wrote to Bob's on their site last week with no response. Guardsman says it is not covered. I have had NO RESPONSE.
This is unacceptable.

If I do not hear back from you by Thursday January 27, 2011, I will have the pane of glass replaced and pay for it and then take both of you to court for breaking a legal conract of service which I paid $299.99 for.

Bob's Discount Furniture broken couch

I purchased a couch and a love seat from Bob's, only to have multiple problems, and found thier customer service to be terrible. Two months after purchasing the furniture, the mechanism which reclines the love seat broke. We complained to Bob's, still had the one year manufactorer's warranty, and they replaced the love seat for us. That was fine, but what was not OK is that we have had the same mechanism failure on our couch - twice! All the mechanisms were faulty, and it was just a matter of time untill ALL of them broke. Shortly after purchasing the couch and love seat we moved from NYC to Chicago, though when we bought them we asked in the store if that would be a problem with the warranty and they promised us that there would be no problem - ha! When we called to report the broken mechanism on our couch (the second time we were having this problem), they told us that we had voided the warranty by moving out of thier service area. There is nothing written anywhere in thier warranty that says that. Luckily, we had purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Gaurdsman, and after about a month of negotiations, and a lot of yelling they finaly came to a deal where Bob's supplied the part, and Gaurdsman supplied the installation. A few months later, and the mechanism on the other end of the couch broke (the third faulty mechanism we were dealing with), and it was already a year after we had purchased the couch. So Bob's refused to do anything about it. Even though it it obviously their fault. They offered to sell us the part for $140 - with no discount even though they sold us faulty furniture. And Gaurdsman doesn't want to deal with it either, they offered us a cash settlement, which wont cover the cost of the part and installation. Be forewarned, Bob's Discount Furniture is dicount for a reason... it's just a matter of time untill it breaks.

Bob's Discount Furniture nightmare

Bogus Advertising and Bob's friendly, "guy next door, " commercials lured me into a Bob's Furniture store this past February wherein I bought two leather recliners. Around October of this same year, I noticed a small hole in the back of one of the leather chairs. No worries right? I had purchased a Goof Proof plan for an additional $ 300. In the day of the computer, you would think that everything could get accomplished over the phone. This Guardsman (warranty) company took forever to send out a form that I had to complete and then when I completed it and sent it back in, they refused to repair my sofa because they said I had not return the form in time (a 10 day time frame). RIDICULOUS! The women on the phone (one being a supervisor) absolutely refused to send a technician to repair my sofa. So at the end of the day, I'm stuck with a hole in my leather recliner that I haven't even had for a year and Bob's laughing all the way to the bank with my $ 300. To add further insult, I had ordered a bedroom set and sectional (before I knew of Bob's lousy warranty and customer service policy). Two delivery men showed up and after about a two minute effort, gave up stating that they could not get a piece of my sectional through the door without taking off the door hinges. They were ready to take the furniture back until the third delivery guy came in and was able to get the sofa in within 1 second. When I asked them if they were sure they knew what they were doing because I wanted the good service I paid for, one became irate, swore at me and tossed a frame picture against my wall. Mortified at this, I asked him to step out of my house and asked the two guys to contiue without him. The both of them refused and started putting my furniture back on the truck simply stating, "just call Bob's because we're doing this job!" And they left, after I had been sleeping on the floor for four days wating for my furniture delivery. The delivery guys boss refused to talk to me over the phone and when I called Bob's furniture, they were not able to persuade the two guys to stay to complete the job! I had to call the police, that's how ugly things got. Have you ever? Now the earliest date I can get for delivery is Wednesday, so that's another three days of sleeping on the floor and I'm a woman in her forties whose recovering from knee surgery! So I didn't get my furniture that I paid thousand of dollars for because the delivery guys didn't like that I complained. My daughter was in tears and the delivery guys were loud, blocked traffic with their trailer and caused a ruckus before my neighbors (EMBARRASING). Dealing with Bob's Furniture has been emotionally, pyschologically and physically traumatizing. SHAME ON YOU BOB! People we need to ban together and show this man that we DEMAND good service. The only way we can do that is NOT to support his company. People tell your friends, family and neighbors alike to not shop at Bob's furniture lest be humiliated, ripped off and made to feel sub human. Don't be lured in by his friendly, "i'm just an ordinary person commercials." Besides, the icecream ***, there wasn't any coffee and he rations out this cheap (like his furniture) penny candy. Don't go to sleep on Bob because you might end up in a NIGHTMARE!

SMH. I bought a (6) chair dining room set from Bob's, and it has been a nightmare. I sat on one of the chairs and the arm rest just fell off. All of the screws are loose on the chairs . WILL NEVER BUY FROM THE HORRIBLE CHEAP STORE AGAIN.

To say that I am unhappy with the policies and customer service at Bobs furniture in Riverhead would be an understatement. My dad purchased a bob o pedic adjustable bed from Bobs. At a minimum of three times during the transaction we asked the salesperson if the delivery men would take away the old mattresses. Each time the salesperson said yes they would. On arrival I asked the delivery person if he would be taking away the mattress and he gave me a puzzled look. I told him that we had been assured that they would do so. After he called customer service he told me that he could not take it. I, at the same time was speaking to the salesperson, who then spoke with customer service. I was told that by policy they could not take the mattress as it was TOXIC! It had a few old dried blood stains on it. We were told they would take it if it was completely wrapped so we asked if we could wrap it in the plastic that the new mattress would come in. The driver said no as he claimed that plastic was ripped. I then said we would wrap it in a tarp and staple it shut. Again we were told that that was not satisfactory. I then called the salesperson and asked if it would be acceptable to wrap it in the $100 super duper 5 year warranteed total mattress cover and would they then give me a replacement cover. Well, no they said as it would not be in practice with their "gimmick free" practice of doing business. The salesperson then suggested that I speak with someone in customer service and perhaps they could give me a gift card. Well, that person said they couldn't, that we would need to speak to the store manager. Needless to say, they DID NOT want to come up with a satisfactory solution to honor the promise made by their salesperson. So, we told them to take the bed back! Made a trip to Sleepys, got a great deal on a better adjustable bed, they will deliver it tomorrow with NO DELIVERY CHARGE. Bob's charged $99 to deliver and the salesperson clearly stated that for $40 they would take the mattress and box spring away and for free they would wrap it up and drag it to the curb. Everything clearly stated and no empty promises. I WILL NOT BE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH BOBS IN THE FUTURE AS THEY ARE NOT AT ALL CONCERNED ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. All they want is your money!

Where do I start. We
ordered our furniture on 7/21/2014. We were told the furniture would be
delivered in the middle of August. Then we received a call that the furniture
set we picked would be back ordered till the end of August. In that week we
received another call that it would not be delivered till Sept 6th, 2014. The delivery arrived at the later part of the
3 hour window. The driver told us immediately that 2 pieces were broken, one of
the bed and the fireplace, his boss noticed it at the warehouse, and said bring
it anyway. He then realized that the
mirror was broken also. So now we had 3 pieces in the garage that were
supposedly "inspected", and no bed! My wife is 7 months pregnant and
sleeping on a floor! We spoke with Courtney,
who set up our new pieces for Tuesday Sept 9th, 2014. We asked for after
5pm delivery which was promised. We received a call 2 days before with a window
of 11 - 3pm! We both work all day and
specifically said after 5. The person my wife spoke with said, that
"Courtney" had no business promising an after 5pm delivery. They then set us up for 1st thing Wednesday
am for 7am. When the driver got here, he
went into the garage and opened the packages that were here, and wouldn't you
know the "inspected "boxes, another BROKEN PIECE! It gets better! The pieces were no longer
available and would be back ordered till the end of September! So no bed for a
month for my pregnant wife. Awesome! If
you check all of the taped recordings, every time I asked a for a district
manager, I was told that I could not speak with one. I asked the customer
service manager for their boss, and was told that I could not speak with
them. Are you serious. I am a
unbelievably unsatisfied customer and can't speak with a manager to help me
with my issues! I had to get very loud with "Matt", would not put me
through to a head manager. I
specifically said, "Matthew, I am done speaking with you, You have done
nothing for me, I want to speak to your boss. He said he could not do
that, I said Matthew, Matthew, this is
being recorded, and I want to speak with your God Damn Superior Now!, he
finally put me on hold. I was given
Jordan who is a head supervisor. She
told me she was sorry (only the 10th time we heard that). She said the best she could do is take off
the delivery fee. She offered me a
temporary bed till ours came in (best thing that was done yet!). I explained
that I was able to get our bed back from the person we sold it too(family
member). When she only offered the
delivery fee, I explained that she was insulting me and my wife. We spent $3600
and still do not have our bedroom set let alone the bed which is the most
important part. I have also spent 10k in the last 10 years with this company. I
told her at this point, I am asking for the delivery fee waived and the bed
itself for free. She said she couldn't do that. I then threatened to have my
lawyer and channel 8 trouble shooters in their office the next day. She then abruptly stopped me, and said,
Mario, Mario, I don't mean to cut you off, but we do not need a third party
involved. I need till Monday September 15th to get in touch with the correct
people that can make this happen. I said
no problem, I would give her that time. I asked her for her direct line, (the
other supervisors did not have or give us). Monday came, no call, Tuesday came,
no call. I called her Wednesday at 9:40 am, leaving her a message to call me
back. I called again around 2:30pm
again, no answer, no call back. And once
again we have to wait for our furniture. They called and said they would
deliver the pieces this Friday, Sept 19 between 10:45am and 2:30pm. Apparently
all of the issues we have been having did not spell, priority! I spoke with a
supervisor Lisa today, said there is nothing she can do. I have given up and
asked for it to be delivered on Monday, Sept 22, so I can waste another day off
waiting on Bob's! My wife also spoke
with a supervisor Katie, who said she would give us the delivery fee for free.
My wife was told to call her and let her know how everything went. My wife left
her message of the continued nightmare, no return phone call. Amazing customer service!

Bob's Discount Furniture incomplete delivery

I spent $800 ( a lot for us on a serious budget) for a full size bed and twin bed. They delivered them a week ago, 12/2, but failed to deliver the basic sliding frames. The delivery man claimed that "the warehouse was out of frames" and they would deliver them as soon as they could. It has now been a week and no one has even
called to deliver the frames and explain the situation. We have been patient
because we know some times mistakes are made, but this is unacceptable. Being on
hold with your customer service for 30 minutes at 7:15 am is also unacceptable. Calling back again to speak with them at 1:30pm the same day meant being on hold for another 30 minutes.
The costumer rep, Nancy, who eventually came on the line could not schedule the
delivery until Monday DECEMBER 13th. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING A WEEK because of their
error and need these frames. I will take legal issue with Bob's. What kind of a furniture business runs out
of standard sliding frames for beds? DO NOT SHOP FROM BOB'S DISCOUNT FURNITURE. BE WARNED. Spend the extra money at any other furniture store.

Bob's Discount Furniture matttess delivered with stain

Friday november 12, 2010 bob's discount furniture deliveered a bedroom set and queen mattress to 8410 153 ave. Howard Beach 11414 apt. 6B, the mattress had a stain and I was told by the delivery men that I had to call bob's and report it, and they would send someone to evaluate it because it wa guaranteed. Well I have called every number on my receipt and booklet to no avail, every # has the same recording.At one point I was on the phone for over 40 minutes listening to a recording just waiting to get through. It is now Monday November 15th and again I have called at least 4 different #'s, even the store where I purchased the furniture has the same recording. I'm only sorry that I did'nt have the foresight to check the computer for references to do with Bob's other customer purchases. Had I done that first I would never have even considered dealing with them. I hope to resolve this problem, this was over an $1, 800.00 purchase, including the furniture.
