Bluegreen Vacations lying salesperson at falls village in branson, mo

July 2015 at Falls Village, the salesman convince us to spend over $25, 000 to purchase points that would upgrade us from Silver to Gold by telling us that this would put us in a situation where we could make reservations for people and sell them. He said that he had made over $10, 000 doing this just last year. We went in the owner update not planning on upgrading so I hadn't checked to see what we were offered previously to purchase points for.

When I went to another update in Daytona in November of the same year, I found out that we were not upgraded to Gold, that we were still points short. And the saleslady asked why we paid such a high price when she had offered us the points at much less a price the previous year.

She also said that "selling" the vacations was really not an option and that we needed to purchase 10K additional points to be Gold.

I like BG...Just not the lying salesman in Branson. I complained to corporate, but never received a reply.

Bluegreen Vacations bluegreen scam

We have been a Bluegreen owner since August 2015. We purchased at the New Orleans La Pension location. We ended up at this sales fiasco via a sales kiosk in Bass Pro Shop Memphis. We were told that they were licensed real estate agents and all Bluegreen owners. We were also told that Charter membership was only with VIP membership so we decided to go with the bronze.

We were told we couldn’t book until we went to the UNO (understanding new ownership) meeting. well that finally happened on March 7, 2016 since our representatives in New Orleans would never return our calls or get us anywhere we wanted to go. We finally had to call the premier members # and they were able to get us booked, at the Bluegreen Mountainloft Resort, but not where we wanted to go .

We got 3 days because we booked on a Monday but wanted to add additional days. None were available so we had to go through RCI and use some of our points at another resort down the road. We were told we got the free upgrade room, being premier members but got stuck in a small room in the basement, with no view. We tried to complain to the MGR but he was never available so had to see the ASST MGR, explained the situation and he extended our stay, in the same crappy room, but so we didn’t have to move and promised to email us a free 5 nights back at the resort to make up. He didn’t.

They also took 3 tries to get the right date on our parking pass. We called RCI to cancel the other room and they kept my payment and 70% of my points. We tried to bring this stuff up at our UNO meeting but the girl was too busy trying to sell us an upgrade to listen. Said they would address it at the next training meeting, but offered no solution. She also told us that the MGR in New Orleans that we felt had misled and failed us had been replaced.

We came back home and tried to look up some vacations, at some places we were interested in but they were all booked up, most till 2017, some 2018. We were also told our yearly fees would be a couple hundred dollars try $1200 we are not happy campers with Bluegreen. Also some of the same resorts that show booked up for a year, i can go to other travel sites like Hotels.com and it shows available rooms.

Also our 90 minute spills turn into 3-5 hours and our stay at our initial one was not even at the resort our meeting was at, also with plenty of empty rooms during our tour. We had to stay at the Blake Hotel instead of the La Pension in New Orleans. We were finally able to get Bluegreen to refund our points that RCI took over the UNO trip so we have still never booked a trip, never used any points or our membership.

Bluegreen Vacations timeshare

On Feb 5, 2016 I attended a review of my ownership while staying at Tradewinds Resort at Treasure Island, FL this for a $100 gift card inducement. After many hours of sales pitch I was sold 5000 additional points at Trillium in Cashiers, NC on the premise my dues on my current UDI (Undivided Interest) ownership at Shenandoah Crossing, VA (DC3052)would be reduced by about $1000 and I would be free of the UDI portion of my ownership, but keep the 9000 yearly points I currently receive. After much deliberation I decided it was an OK offer and payback for the purchase would only take a few years with the savings on maintenance fees, the bill of good I was sold. I left feeling all was well. A couple of days later I had a nagging feeling about the transaction and called the sales manager at Tradewinds, who said she would check with the corporate office In Boca Raton to confirm all was well. On the next to the last day of 10 day period of right to rescind the transaction, I was informed that what I was sold was not true and that it did not apply to my UDI ownership and Bluegreen would make a refund which the did a week or so later.
My complaint is that if I had not called the manager during the 10 days after the sale I would have been stuck with about a $6000+ purchase that did not accomplish the bill of goods I was sold and would have had to pay about $3000 a year maintenance fee. I was sold a lie. I am done with Bluegreen, their high pressure sales pitches that are full of partial and total lies and feel that they should now take back my UDI ownership to right this wrong.

Bluegreen Vacations restaurant.com / bluegreen vacations

I was promised 200.00 in Visa cards to listen to a blue green vacation rentals sales pitch for 3hrs of my time and 200.00 in a visa gift cards. (for my time)

After the sales pitch I did not receive my visa gift card. As promised... I Recieved a 200.00 value in restaurant.com which offers no way to use the 200.00 for food. Blue Green Vacation had restaurant.com / Blue Green cards made. IT'S A BLUEGREEN VACATION RENTAL SCAM.. To shift money as a Tax write off offering multiple gifts and promises of upward to 2200.00 which is all a huge SCAM...

I just recently returned from my vacation which was through Bluegreen Vacations. First off, after I listened to the presentation and sat with the representative, I had already decided I was not purchasing. I asked the rep would they use my credit for anything and she said no. I received an alert once I left from the presentation showing they had ran my credit and I didn't even buy. Secondly, the $200 restaurant gift cards are a SCAM. Why should I have to spend $100 in order to use $50 from the restaurant gift card. The only thing that was legit was the $50 MasterCard. And lastly, the hotel was 30 minutes from the main part of the beach and I was not oceanfront. We were separate building across the street from the main hotel, even though I paid for ocean front. I was very dissatisfied and I will not recommend Bluegreen Vacations to anyone.

I went on a tour with bluegreen in orlando, fl.. I was given a 3 day 2 night vacation or cruise and $200 in dining dough. Well first off you have to pay a $100 deposit just to see if dates you want to travel are avail for the cruise or vacation. And the dining dough is thru restaurant. Com. You have to pick thru this list of horrible restaurants to only find out you have to spend money at the restaurant to use the certificate! So if i buy a $50 gift card, you have to spend $100 at dinner and you can only use one certificate.

I feel soo scammed by them. I still have both gifts. I also was a sucker and paid $99 for the hotel stay.
Beware of the tour! The gifts arent really gifts.

Bluegreen Vacations the agent tried to change our decision and was too pushy

We made the appointment in Bluegreen Vacations LLC Inc. My husband and I arrived and our agent started to tell about the vacations’ opportunities and he tried to assure us that if we spent more money, we would get more pleasant vacation. He told the prices and it was too high for us. Also, this guy was too pushy and tried to change our decision. After this conversation, we decided to cancel the deal at all, because it wasn’t wise to trust our money to these greedy and wry people.

Bluegreen Vacations deceitful

Prior to me evening having a chance to go for the actual "vacation ", the $50 gift card was voided out prior to its expiration date. When I call the number on the back of the card, the credit card Company informed me I was 1 of many! When speaking with customer service all I got was there is nothing I can do for u, u only had till the beginning of mo...not end of mo. So this experience has started off on a negative foot! After reading many of the reviews on multiple cites I'm shocked this company still has a BBB rating of A! Let's see if they follow through with the other "gifts" that were offered.

Bluegreen Vacations timeshare

4 months ago my wife and I took the 90 min sales presentation in Orlando. After promising ourselves we wouldn't buy we unfortunately gave in. When we got home we started reading all the reviews online and immediately called to cancel. The manager said we were "all set" and that he would cancel our contract. Our mistake in believing him. A month later we got a bill and called to see why we were told that we had to mail a letter saying we wanted to cancel and that just talking to someone wouldn't do it! Why didn't he tell us that! What a scam! We started looking on the web at these timeshare cancelation companies and chose one called Timeshare Discharge. I don't know the difference in all of them but they weren't that expensive ($1500) and answered the phone and our emails every time. It took 2 months but we are out! Plus they got part of our down payment back. Luckily we got out! Spread the word- and Bluegreen management should be put in jail. Glad we are done with it.

Bluegreen Vacations unethical behavior

Time-share meeting and contract date [protected].
In order to get an idea of the value of the 6000 points that I was signing up for, I asked the representative how many points it would take per night. He stated anywhere from 250 to 450 points. I was also told that I could by-pass RCI, thereby not having to pay additional fees required by them. I was also told that I could start using my benefits on February 1st which was stated in my Enhanced/Traveler Plus Agreement that I could start using my benefits on the 1st of the following month.
On February 1st, I tried to start using my benefits by phone call and through the Bluegreen website, I got "account not found". I was told in the phone call that I could not do anything and had to wait 45 days.
I started making additional phone calls checking into what it would take, points-wise, and found out that it would be 1000 to 2000/per night plus out-of-pocket expenses, certainly a big difference compared to what I was told. I also checked into seeing what it would take to book an 'Extra Vacations Getaway' certificate at a Bluegreen resort and was told I would have to go through RCI, thereby paying additional fees to that company. Again, not what I was told originally when signing up.
On February 2, 2016, I faxed a letter stating my complaints and requesting my contract to be null and void due to misleading/false information and requesting a response. I have yet to receive any kind of response.
My desirable resolution would be to have my contract voided and all monies, $14, 150, refunded.

Blue Green has allowed Pinnacle to misrepresent their Company. We have been owners for 20 years. We got behind on our Maintenance Fees, due to lost of jobs. We were not able to afford our maintenance fee which led to us loosing out annually points and the opportunity to use our timeshare. Every year we were able to pay our pass due Maintenance fee in August. Once paid we tried to make reservations for the upcoming year but was then denied because the next year's due were due before we could use our points. Now that we have paid our Timeshare off and paid off pass due MF we now are eligible to obtain a deed which was promise in 1997 when we first purchased first property. My problem is this Company Blue Green has misrepresented itself through fraudulent actions and has voided all ethics, value, trust and brought shame upon their selves. Hope you enjoy my hard earned 20 years payments and invested them wisely so you respond to the enormous amounts of claims that are forthcoming.

Bluegreen Vacations salesman, don allen holbrook

He has been threatening, suing and harassing customers and critics for years. He is the brainchild behind the failed international destination theme park, Earthquest. He sued all of the taxpayers that commented about that waste of 24 million tax dollars. He also sued The Houston Press, Craig Malisow, Our Tribune, Cynthia Calvert, The Pahrump Valley Times and me. He lost in court and was immediately thrown out on his ear. He has been mired in controversy and threatening lawsuits for decades. He has been fired from 2 Economic Developer positions and not renewed for a 3rd. He fraudulently claimed to be a Phd for years. Holbrook is clearly dishonest and dangerous and Bluegreen needs to take appropriate action immediately.

Judge Robert D. Stack of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, author of the defamation treatise Sack on Defamation: Libel Slander and Related Problems, describes when a libel suit might result from a work of fiction:
"Where the defendant invents defamatory dialogue or other defamatory details in what purports to be nonfiction, uses actual people as fictional characters, or bases fictional characters on living person but fails to sufficiently to disguise the characters, so that the fictional characters are understood to be 'of and concerning' their living models, liability for libel may result." Even if the work contains a disclaimer stating that it's fictional, a libel claim can still arise.

Bluegreen Vacations refund

After booking a "vacation" on 10/27, I checked on Blue Green and discovered it was not for us. On 11/5 I requested from Customer Service a refund and was informed that I would receive an email confirmation and refund w/in 3 - 5 days. I received neither. On 11/16 I followed up and received an apology and reassurance a refund and email would be processed. I received neither. On 11/23, still on email or refund. I called Customer Service again and was given the same reassurance as before. I strongly question the honesty and integrity of Blue Green Vacations but still waiting on email and refund.

You know the saying one something is to good to be true it probably is? This is it! They had called me this Monday to book a vacation with them. They told me they had dates open that I was looking for but to call back as soon as I had dates for sure. I call back the very next day to find out that they totally screwed up on my package. I was suppose to be upgraded to a log cabin at Christmas Mountain for a ski trip getaway with my family and it was suppose to be for 2 nights and 3 days. Come to find out it was for 4 nights and 5 days. Great right! No, because there is no open days for the weekend only during the week...Not what I had wanted.. The guy totally lied to make me book this vacation. (Frank) Then I call and tell a lady (Lisa) about the screw up and she tells me that if it were suppose to be for the 2 night 3 day she could see where the guy might have had those days open so she would look into getting me the days I wanted and would call me back. This is Tuesday, it is now Friday, so I call back again and they transfer me to customer service (Dominic) who is no help also. I tell them if they cant find the dates available I would just prefer to get a refund. The lady( a different one at this time because I was cut off on the last call) tells me that I have to WRITE a stupid letter to someone in Florida who will contact me ( and probably try to make it right again, who won't) and I will probably have to jump through another hoop to get my money back if even possible, the way this is going. It isn't even a week since I had booked this. So now I have to waste time to write a letter to get a refund. Very, Very disappointed with this company. This is why I usually hang up on these people because it is always a scam and I should have known better. I will next time! Don't book a vacation with these people...They lie to get your money and make promises they can't keep and then when you just want a refund because you are very unsatisfied you have to jump threw hoops. They can take your money over the phone but wont give it back.

Bluegreen Vacations timeshare, travelplus, bonus time & rci

Buyer beware! Do not let them pressure you into buying this, you will not beable to use it! I wish i would have read the reviews! I 100% do not recommend the purchase of this time share. They are very deceitful and they are liars. My husband and i purchased the bronze membership last december. We purchased because of the bonus time, travelers plus and rci. To date we have been unable to use it anywhere. What they did not tell us, is that we could only book those extras 45 days before your planned vacation. You can not get rooms anywhere in there system 45 days prior to your vacation date. Plus you cannot stay anywhere for 10, 000 points! It was a high pressured sale. I was so excited about the opportunities to travel, but you cannot use it anywhere. I am amazed that bass pro would want to be associated with this deceitful of a company. It makes me question my trust in bass pro as a quality company. I booked rooms in las vegas for the national rodeo finals, was told to call back 45 days before and change the reservation to bonus time. I paid an extra fee to be able to do this. I called back this morning to change and the operator said, i just need to warn you, you may loose your rooms, it is a formality that i let you know. Because i was assured that changing to bonus time was not a problem and i paid the extra fee i said ok. She then came back on the line and she said, just what i thought, we lost your rooms. So now i have airfare, nfr tickets and no rooms, because of their lying and deceitful ways. The manager gave us his business card and said we could call him anytime with questions or problems. 1 week after the purchase i had a question on the paperwork and tried calling, the number is disconnected. I have read since that this is a common practice. Buyers beware, look into other more honest, trustworthy companies, this one stinks!

Bluegreen Vacations false advertisement/and high pressure

After purchasing a vacation from Bass Pro here in Arundel Mills, Maryland i Purchase A 7 day for the price of 499.99 w/3 $25.00 gift cards from bass pro when arrive and complete a 60 minutes presentation.after arriving from a 13 hours drive the next day/Day 2 we went in for the presentation where it was like being inside of a car dealership salesman to poteum and my thoughts was my family and will love to come to Florida once a year into enjoy this great weather and so forth.My thing is after commenting to a reasonable price.We then went home after 6 days of presentation.When calling Blue greens to get into the system to browse the point log/where we was promise that will get a 3 day free vacation back to Florida to learn the kiosk that wasn't available to me until after 30 days.{scam 1} after 30 days of getting into the kiosk i then realize that the 4000 points we have theirs is only a 2 day vacation and that will never cover anything without paying more money...its all a scammed I am not able to get out of this...This is really Hardship for my family and i they stated i make 30, 000.00 a year i don't make 20, 000.00 a year...please stay away from these people

Bluegreen Vacations they didn't help me with the selling of the documents

I have timeshares and decided to sell them. I contacted Bluegreen Resort Management Inc. I spoke with the rep and asked for the assistance. I needed to sell these timeshares as soon as possible. I needed some documents from them, but they decided to tip-toe. They told me to call them later, because the documents haven’t been finished. I have waited 2 months already and I understood that they wouldn’t help me. Don’t rely on them.

Bluegreen Vacations mortgage payments - rip off

Consumer beware! Don't set your payment up for direct payment out of your checking account.

We were wondering why our bill with Bluegreen was not going down. To our surprise out of $117.50 a month only $.30 was being applied to the principle. We also noticed that there were several unexplained adjustments made to our payment to the account. We had made some lump sum payments that were not posted for the full amounts but were divided in some weird way. When asked about it, the rep said it was because of late payments. There was no way that our payment should have ever been late, because we set it up for direct deposit from our bank and we monitor our bank account every month to ensure that all of our bills are paid on time.

In our excitement, the customer service rep started telling us to calm down and stop yelling. We were not name calling or using profanity, just letting him know that we have never been late paying any of our bills and the large payments that we made were not posted correctly. Instead of telling us, "yes you are correct this does look strange, let me see what I can do to help you." He gave us no assurance that the problem would be solved. Instead he told us that this is what happens when you make an electronic payment and unless someone discovers it will be all messed up like that. In his impatience and incompetence to help us he hung up and we were not able to get through the rest of the day.

I believe this account should have been paid off long ago. I can only hope that someone will take the time to help us.

Bluegreen Vacations dishonest selling

They will say anything to get a sell! Don't buy this off the street or a set up near wal mart or anywhere! We were told its for couples don't have to be married we are engaged but we different address. They said it was ok and even booked it.When it came time to confirm they did not and refused and would not give money back because we did not want to give bank statements or add my name to his bank account just for a vacation.

Bluegreen Vacations misleading and deceitful

I would never recommend Bluegreen vacations to my worst enemy. They lie to you during presentations they mislead you and don't give you a way to verify information until after your cancellation. It's over Bluegreen resorts of Tennessee has no integrity when dealing with people after you purchase a time share with them they will not return your phone call and they would treat you as if you just stole from them.

My family and I went to Tennessee for my daughter's birthday we did a tour during the presentation the fast talking representative share his experiences with him and his family on their vacations at the time I had no intent to purchase A timeshare because we have timeshare already with westgate Resorts. But as I listen to the representative I raise an eyebrow when he shared with us that you can have at a charter membership that comes with unlimited vacations for 7 days vacation with an2 bedrooms is $59and a 3 bedrooms $79 . I raised my hand and I stated that I already had a timeshare and I said to him so you mean to tell me I can go to Aruba for a week for $79 he said yes ma'am you can. He also stated that my family and friends can use this as well as a charter member there are no blackout dates he gave an example to the other membership and charter membership that was false as well.

So now he has our attention he also express how they hace a point system unlike the timeshare that I had. I thought that was good he gave an example as if you had X amount of points you can break those points down into more than one vacation.

At this time I brought out my pen and paper and I took notes now he had my interest. When we sat down with the representative who came and got us he began to tell us about the package then another representative comes. I'm guessing a senior rep interrupted him and said hey listen I hear you guys are with Westgate he tells us how he used to work for them for a long time and gave us a comparison of westgate vs bluegreen and shared with us all of the negative he learned about Westgate that made him go to work for Bluegreen. Because of his knowledge I trusted him. He even told us that they (bluesgreen support team)could help in getting out of our timeshare with Westgate so we would have 2 timeshares. But only after we buy.

As we went back and forth with the 2 reps. As one walked away the other began to talk. The other came and he began to talk. All along my ONLY interest was these Vacation weeks that we could get. I expressed I had no need for another timeshare other than the one I have because I can never use those for the dates I desired. And that I would only use the unlimited bonus weeks for $59 & $79 a week. Then they told me that is why I need to be a charter member. Unlike Westgate they truly have no blackout dates. "Lies"

When they brought me out a deal I explained to them that I wasn't interested in the timeshare. And the points isn't what I care about. If I used the timeshare it would be for the unlimited weeks. He told me that I can keep the points and let them roll over. I repeatedly said "So, you.mean I can go to Aruba for a week for $79?" They chuckled at my humor and repeatedly said yes ma'am each time I asked.

I explained that we was on vacation for my daughter's birthday and to pay $1700 dwn payment wasn't in my budget and would take away from her birthday.

Then the Sales Manager comes to our table. He tells me that he understands my position and really wants to help us. Now this is the 3rd person after the presentation. He tells us. We don't pressure anyone. If you decide not to buy. We are happy and will let you go. But what I have to offer you. You will not be able to get after you leave today. Then he hands me a offer for 6, 000 points and that I'd only have to put down, $1200. I could use the points every other yearAnd he will throw in the Charter membership with this for a lurker over $7k. I said I thought you needed to purchase more points for the Charter
He said, he doesn't normally do this but for us he will. Since we aren't really interested in the points we're only interested in the unlimited bonus weeks this would be great. He said I will leave you guys alone to think about it. He left us with the sales rep. And I asked AGAIN. Now your sure I can go to Aruba for $79. He laughed and said. "Yes Ma'am. My husband and I agree that this was a great deal. So we agreed.

And at the closing of the deal as we was signing the contracts with the young lady. When she went over the points. We said we won't be using the points anyway.

I stepped out of the room and I went over to the touchscreen destination map. With my sales rep and my 2 daughter's and touched Aruba and the Hawaii locations and said. Now you sure I can go to Aruba for my anniversary for $79. He said yes.

Once we returned home 2 days later. I had questions. Customer service couldn't answer because it takes upto 45 days to get us in the system. Now although I paid my deposit during these 45 days I'm not able to use the benefits of a timeshare they give you one designated representative to speak to, to answer questions and she also can't answer anything regarding your timeshare she can only help you with your next visit for the ownership orientation. So no way to verify what I was told was true I have to wait because everyone said they can't see what I purchased. It didn't take quite 45 days. Its took maybe 28 days to receive my packet I was extremely excited and ready to book my trip meanwhile I've already spread the word about 7 or 8 family members and friends getting them excited about Bluegreen resorts as well. The first thing I do is register online and as I begin to look online I was very confused because I didn't see anything that was said to us. So I made the phone call to CS when I spoke to the representative they transfer me to someone else then transferred me to RCI RC I couldn't verify that information and RC I could not verify that I was a charter member. So I have to call back to Tennessee and find out what was going on. AND unbelievably when I spoke to the sales manager he told me there's no way possible the presentation representative could say anything that I said and maybe I misunderstood because it was a lot of information. Then I said that's impossible then that means I will have had to mis understood everyone that I spoke to because I asked the same question. At that time he got defensive. His tone completely change as well as his attitude and I asked to let me speak to the manager that I spoke to when I was there. I quoted everything that the manager said to me he put me on hold then came back and said I think I'm the one you spoke too. I say it's impossible that guy I spoke to was extremely kind he was very polite very helpful it made me feel like I could trust him he said yes that's me. I promise you the way this guy's treated me it was hard to believe he was the same guy. He denied everything they told me and then told me he will send me a certificate that would allow me to have 2 weeks per year without using points and my charter number for RCU. And said there was no such thing as unlimited bonus weeks he told me then to wait until I go to my orientation in June and let them explain. Now keep in mind . I purchased my timeshare April 4th, my orientation is June 22nd.

When I told him I wanted out of this, and i did not want to have this timeshare. I said, you guys lied to me. He said unfortunately your 10 days is past and you cannot cancel now. I told him 10 days? ? I had no paperwork I didn't know you guys would sell a timeshare with no integrity. I had no one to answered my question so how was I able to find out if it was true or not. Alll he said to me was I'm sorry.

I escalated the situation and contact the corporate office. I spoke with the corporate office in the end of April today is June 15th and they just calked to tell me that they're denying me the opportunity to get out of this contract and their continued to go ahead and keep me with this. And all they can do is help me use what I have. Now please understand they taken 2 mortgage payments it if my bank. They have NY initial deposit. I've yet to use this. And now you want me to use a membership at a time share with 6000 points and that does not cover anything that I would use.

Again I am a timeshare owner with another resort that's not what I needed.

And when I called RCI and blue-green to find out how many points it would take for me to go to Aruba they told me it would take a minimum of 18, 000 points. What in the WORLD!

I will fight this to the end and if I do or if I don't win, I'm going to let the world know about Bluegreen resort vacation and timeshare.

There's much more to the story but you guys get the idea. D NOT purchase timeshare from Bluegreen RESORTS and whatever they tell you if you do have it in writing with signatures take a picture make a video whatever you can because they will deny it after you leave them

Bluegreen Vacations horrible!!

Okay so here is what this vacation agency did to our family. Last year we traveled with Bluegreen Vacations and loved it! We were so impressed with the property and the staff. When we saw another great deal we couldn't wait to jump on it and this time we were definitely investing in their time shares. So in April 2015 we signed up for our vacation at $199 for 5 days at Myrtle Beach, SC with a free 5 day cruise to the Bahamas after our trip. Too good to be true right? I would've thought so if I hadn't traveled with them before. So in April we signed up and that day we booked our dates in June for our trip. We were warned when we were booking that there could be some travel restrictions but if there were any, red flags would come up. No red flags came up so we continued with our booking. Then for the last two months we have patiently been excited and waiting for our family beach trip. Exactly 7 days before we are to check-in at our hotel I call to confirm the reservation. A redflag popped up saying we are traveling too soon. Eventually I was transferred to a supervisor, Fernando. I was informed that we could not go on our vacation for another 4 months! Well as a teacher that wouldn't work. I only have the summer to travel. He told me as a teacher I should have the ability to read into any details. I told him I did. I spent over an hour with a vacation specialist going over every little detail before I signed up. How did it get missed then? How did it get missed days later when our vacation was completely booked? How could they make us cancel our trip a week before our trip. He was so rude to me. He talked to me like we were criminals and tried to 'cheat the system'. Really? A teacher and a cop, a family of 5, with kids with special needs, tried to 'cheat the system'? How dare he?! And when I asked him this he refused to go into any more 'details' just kept accusing me of using a different email address even though I had 6 emails from them to my email address! I am disgusted with this company and how unprofessional they are. Please don't trust them with your money. They do not care about you or your family.

Bluegreen Vacations misrepresentation

Bluegreen salesman lied leaving me to believe we were buying into a no lose investment and they would buy it back from us. Also we could trade it 45 days or less and go anywhere we wanted (not holidays). What a crock, what they sold us wouldn't even allow us to go to all the Bluegreen resorts, but they offered to help. I am making a correction to my previous comment. upon rereading it I noticed I put working for them. I do not work for bluegreen I do own however and as stated before the complaints on this site are bogus.

I am an owner with bluegreen and have been for over 3 years now. and it is a great company to work for worst thing I've run into was when two people tell you two different things at different resorts. If you say that you can't get rooms on bonus time you are hugely mistaken as I have personally done it on multiple occasions. I don't know how many points you bought but I can tell you for a fact there are resorts you can stay at for as little as 4000 point for a week. Even the one in Arub can be done for only 7, 650 for a week. A two bedroom in Branson, MO for only 8, 350. Currently the minimum points you can purchase is 10, 000 which could be two weeks in some locations or over a week at resorts such as the one in Branson. I am sorry you had a bad experience but I can assure you it isn't the norm but the rarity.

Bluegreen Vacations lies and deception

We were invited for an owner update that cost about $56 for 3 days/2 nights. We then received a promotion for an extra night and a $75 certificate. However, when I made the arrangements, I was told that I could not use either advertised promotion. Well, I agreed to go any way and I gave them the money. The confirmation stated that if we did not show for the update we would loose the $56 and we would be charged the rack rate if we did not show. If we did not cancel before 2 weeks, we would loose the $56. We cancelled 2 days before and expected to loose the initial payment BUT I was really upset when we were charged an additional $125. There was no mention of this additional charge nor is it included in their confirmation terms. This company is one of the worse companies to deal with. They prey on the unsuspecting by telling lies and half truths. I understand that some people are happy with their purchase, but I am not one of them. I would be happy to unload it

When people spend thousands of dollars on a timeshare, it is up to them to educate themselves. I love my Bluegreen resort ownership because I have taken the time to learn how to use it ! Thousands of people on social media also love their Bluegreen.

Bluegreen Vacations fraudulent deceptive practices

It is so disappointing that I am sitting here trying to hold Bluegreen Resorts accountable for their deceptiveness and fraudulent practices rather than enjoying the benefits that I was promised. This complaint is in relation to the company’s Tradewinds Resort sales center in Saint Pete Beach, FL and may not be a representation of the company overall, but I get the impression that it is.
My wife and I attended a presentation at the resort on March 31st, 2015 and we were there not for the freebies they always promise, but rather because we really wanted to join the vacation club, as the Tradewinds Resort is just 20 minutes from our home and we were interested in having day use of the Resort and its beautiful beach. After sitting through a 90 minute presentation which we enjoyed, we were shown the resort by our salesperson, Chip. As we explored the grounds with Chip my wife and I made it very clear to him that we were interested in buying and that our primary purpose was to be able to use the Tradewinds resort for our beach outings. No less than 10 times during our tour my wife and I commented on things like the use of the tennis courts, use of the party areas, how much money we would save on beach parking etc.…Chip just smiled and encouraged us to daydream knowing what we know now. It was all a farce!
We spent our whole day with the sales team discussing points packages that were first presented to us as a $60, 000 investment. We quickly found out that “today” this $60, 000 package was being discounted to $24, 000. Since we were not there to spend $24, 000 we worked our way down to speaking of a package that an average middle class family like ourselves could actually afford. After finding out that their “Travelers Plus” benefits which include day use at Bluegreen resorts was only available on their $60, 000 VIP package we were ready to leave, but as could be expected we were lured back in eventually purchasing a $10, 000 package that would include the all-important “Travelers Plus”.
We let everyone of the sales team know how excited we were to be “owners” and that hopefully we would see them around while we visit the resort. Fast forward two days later and reality sets in. Since my daughter is on Spring break we decided to go down to the beach for the day. The first sign of trouble was when trying to park. I proudly announced myself as a Bluegreen owner and the ambivalent Tradewinds employee just looked at me dazed and confused. My expression quickly matched his as I felt my heart hit the floor. We had just parked there two days ago to be “sold”. How quickly things change. After parking across the street from the resort we made our way to the Bluegreen owners concierge desk where we thought this all would be straightened out. With a friendly smile the attendant stated that she was sorry but Bluegreen members don’t have day use at the Tradewinds because Bluegreen does not own it like their other resorts. After wiping the disbelief off my face and gathering my two very upset children we made our way back to the shimmering multimillion dollar sales facility that Bluegreen has set up on the Tradewinds property. After attempting to find Chip and everyone acting like they didn’t know who he was, I was greeted by Ute Over, the sales manager. I was ushered away to a private area so that other unsuspecting victims could not get wind of the fraud they were being subjected to. Without blinking an eye Ute calmly asked me if I had read my contract. I told her “yes” in addition to it being read to me by Chip (his last name does not appear on any documentation even though he stated that he was a licensed realtor) and by the closing agent Dana Marinaro. Apparently, there is fine print on the back of the “Traveler’s Plus” certificate that they give you after the sale that states that day use privileges are only at resorts that Bluegreen wholly owns, of which Tradewinds is not one. With my blood now boiling I explained to her all of the events that led up to my purchase and how there is not a chance on God’s green Earth that I was told about this caveat. I even pointed to a document they had asked me to fill out after the sale stating my primary reasons for buying. My number one reason listed was for day use at the Tradewinds. She was still expressionless and stated that I should just cancel since I was within my 10 day cancelation period. There was no attempt to try to salvage the situation whatsoever and none of the sales team were confronted about the situation. The calmness and Ute’s lack of surprise convince me that this is happening to other unsuspecting victims on a daily basis. I was just lucky enough to discover the deception before my 10 days had passed. Needless to say my cancellation notice was sent yesterday. I am hopeful that things will go smoothly but as a realist I am doubtful based on this experience so far. I will follow up with another post if the nightmare continues.
